The Secret Society

Dal could understand Llew feeling the way she did at the moment. She had revealed that she had a crush by fainting. She asked for a break and he simply nodded to her. He watched as she tried to get up but seemed to be a bit dizzy. He was a bit worried about her. She stated she was going for a walk and he let her go.

Dal watched her leave for a moment, then he went and sat, relaxing. He let Tim and Amellie talk. He didn't want to discuss what had just happened. He thought about it though. He thought about Llew. She was definitely a pretty girl, but she didn't seem very mature at all. He wondered exactly how she felt about him. He thought that her crush might just be a harmless and quickly passing school girl crush. He sighed. He felt he would just have to wait and see what happened over the next little while.

During her walk, Llew definitely had a lot on her mind. It was all about Dal though and how she should act now. She could always just ignore these feelings as they were probably nothing and move on. She and Dal? It's not possible. If anything, he probably saw her as completely immature and crazy and therefore, it'd never work. On the other side of the entire society, she leaned against the wall and let out a small breath. As of now, she didn't like Dal anymore. If anything, she probably just had sexual feelings for him; some rough and tumble fun and that's it but nothing more. And even then, she wouldn't pursue him. She had no crush on him. And for the duration of her walk back to the dojo, she kept telling herself that.

Once back, she walked inside and looked at them all. "Okay. I'm pumped and I'm ready to go." She nodded, putting her hands on her hips. "What should I do this time?" She asked quietly, turning to look at Dal. Looking at him, there was no shyness or embarrassment. She didn't like him like that and that's what she'd keep telling herself for the next few months until it really sinks in.

Dal looked up as Llew returned. He got up and went over to her when she said she was ready to train more. She asked what to do. He looked at Tim and nodded. Then he told Llew. "You are going to try the same thing again. This time using Tim's suggestions. Also, I am going to give you access to more power. Try not to tap into it. Try to only use the power you used last time. If Tim's suggestion does not work, go back to what you did last time." He stpped back and let Tim explain his method. Tim had a bit of a strange one. He focused on his dreams for the future and what he wanted his life to be like. He used hope and dreams to tap into his power. It seemed to work for him.

After listening to Tim's suggestion, she was really looking for hope in that method since she didn't want to think about Dal. Not in that way at least because she really and honestly couldn't. Nodding, she bit her lower lip and then cracked her knuckles and then her hands. She let out a small breath and thought about the one dream she had. Pullitzer prized writer working for a top newspaper, hr column the highlight of the newspaper. That was her dream. To be successful and doing what she loved.

Her eyes never glazed over again. She looked down at her hand and brought it up to view. She could feel the air emitting from it and then she let her other hand connect the air with it and she played around with it a little bit. It worked and it made her feel a lot better. Looking in Dal's direction, one look at him caused her to start thinking of that dream she had of him last night. By doing so, the power and current of the wind was far more stronger but controlled. It was well-skilled and she hated that she had to think about some form of seual encounter or fantasy to wield her power properly. What did that say about her?

Looking back at what she was able to do, she then stopped and sighed quietly. "can we call it a day?"

Amelie looked at her and raised a brow. "What's wrong?" She seemed so sad.

Llew sighed. "i'm just tired. It's not the energy. I didn't sleep much at all last night. Or at all." She slept maybe one or two hours and because her mind was being plagued--in a good way--by that dream, she couldn't sleep.

Amelie looked from Tim and then to Dal and frowned a bit. "Why don't you go take a nap? Maybe you'll feel better? Maybe more alive?"

Dal focused on Llew and limited her power. He also monitored her energy to see if she used more or less. When she started emitting air from her hands he could tell that while it had worked better than her first times, it was using more energy than what she had just done a little earlier.

Suddenly she started using a lot less energy. She was also able to control her use of power a lot better. She stopped and didn't seem very happy. She wanted to stop. Dal looked at the others and nodded. "Llew, go and have a nap, get some rest. You need to have sleep. You can't live on chocolate. When you wake up I want you to come and knock on my door. I think it would be good to talk about your training and how it will work with your schoolwork. Is that ok with you?"

Nodding, she yawned and covered her mouth, blinking a bit. She grabbed her bag and then what was left of the chocolate bar and she handed it to Amelie. She smiled and shook her head, pushing it gently back to Llew, her actions telling her to keep it. Smiling tiredly, Llew went off, waving to Tim and Dal and then took the elevator back up to the known part of the school and made her way to her dorm.

By the time she was inside, her roommate was there too and prepared to leave in case Llew was going to cause a racket but she simply shook her head and dropped her bag to the ground and just collapsed on her bed. She was exhausted. Closing her eyes, she was instantly knocked out. It was a dreamless sleep, thankfully since all she wanted was to sleep and nothing more at this moment.

Dal watched as Llew left. If it had really been an energy problem he could have simply given her more energy. He had once tried seeing how long he could stay up by simply using his power to sap energy from others. He had given it up after a few weeks and not even feeling tired. On the plus side, he had got a lot of homework done during that time.

After she left Dal said a goodbye to the others and went up to the school. He went to a class. Then he returned to his room. He spent some time getting some homework done. He really hoped that Llew would come and talk to him when she woke. He felt it would be really helpful for both of them.

A few hours later, say around five and six, Llew awoke. The big urge to go to the bathroom woke her and once she was done, she was wide awake but still so tired. Yawning, she stretched a little bit and looked over to her roommate's side of the room and saw she was gone. Shrugging slightly, she went back to the bathroom and freshened herself up, splashing cold water onto her face a few times to erase the sleep from her. Standing upright, she wiped her face dry and then put some face cream on to re-moisten it.

Changing out of her uniform and into something more comfortable--leggings and a big shirt--, Llew tied her hair up in a messy ponytail after she combed it out and slipped her feet into warm fuzzies. Even though she had her socks on, her feet were still cold and her warm fuzzies always made her warm. Grabbing a sweater on, she walked out of her dorm and then went on to Dal's dorm, knocking on his door.

Dal finally heard the knock at his door. He got up and went, answering it. He was surprised to see her almost ready for bed. At least she was there to talk. He smiled at her and stepped back to let her inside. He moved two chairs into the middle of the room and let her sit before he did. Once they were settled he finally spoke.

"Thanks for coming to talk to me Llew. I was going to suggest we walk and talk, but it looks like you are ready to go to bed as soon as we are done talking. So, I'll keep it short. I have two things to say and talk about. The first is trainign and school work. I want to let you know that you have no need to worry. The society helps eachother out. We will have people to help you in any calss if you find you are falling behind because of your training. All you need to do is let me know and I will get people who have taken your classes before to assist you. Do you have any questions about that?"

She didn't consider this to be her bed clothes. She'd always been such a weird child. She'd come to class in her warm fuzzies if she wanted to. Though of course she'd wear more than just that. She could never walk somewhere naked unless it was private. Her choice of pjs were a tank top and boxer shorts because she always ended up getting hot. Her roommate's stupid heater. Walking in, she sat down and looked at him.

Nodding to him, she bit her lower lip, shaking her head. "No I'm alright. I mean I understand. If I fall behind, I'll let you know." She nodded. So if she was training, this meant she didn't have to go to classes? Finally the hallelujah chorus shined down on her. Finally! "Wait, so does this mean I don't have to go to classes if I'm training?" Her eyes went wide.

Dal smiled, glad that she udnerstood. Then she surprised him. by suddenly asking in quite an excited way, about whether she had to go to class or not. He chuckled and smiled. "During the next couple of weeks while we train you to the point that you do not need me to limit your power, you won't need to go to class. After that the training is up to you. You don't have to go to class if you don't want to, but your teachers will let us know. If you end up not going to class all the time, that wouldn't be good. You need to go to class." He looked at her for her reaction. He was glad that this was cleared up simply, but he still had something else to talk to her about. He felt it was important to at least try to discuss.

Leigh laughed a bit at that last part, nodding. "Alright. So that sounds good. Don't worry I won't skip class too much, only if I need to." She couldn't afford to have bad grades otherwise the first thing to go would be her column and she really couldn't have that. Crossing a leg over the other, she waited. She knew there was something more to talk about. Her mind didn't really want to try and guess.

Dal nodded and smiled at her. That was good. They wouldn't have to talk about that later. She seemed to be waiting for him to bring up the second thing. He fought to find the right words. He finally started to speak, a little nervously. "Uh, well, the other thing is about what happened earlier today. I have a feeling I know what you were thinking about when you were able to easily access your power. Now, before you say anything or leave, let me finish. I want to let you know that I have no problem with it and you shouldn't be embarrased. There is no need for you to be nervous around me." He stopped and looked at her, wondering what she would say or if she would be upset with him for bringing it up.

Llew sort of froze. Her eyes were wide and she really didn't know what to say. it was embarrassing because the thing that made her power be brought almost flawlessly was thinking of her and Dal getting it on. That dream was so vivid. Swallowing hard, she sort of defrosted eventually and looked at him. "Well...I mean, it was just a dream." She shrugged. "it's not like I feel anything toward it. It's just odd now cause when I look at you, I see that dream and I don't want that." She told him, hoping her choice of words wasn't poor.

Dal could tell that she was a bit surprised that he had brought that up. Then she started talking about a dream. It was his turn to be surprised and confused. He looked at her for a moment, not sure what to say. She finished and he had only one thing he could say. "What dream are you talking about? I thought you were just thinking about me, like Amellie does with her...how did she put it? uh, eye candy? Not that I'm saying you're looking at me like eye candy, but....uh...you know, just an image of me or something. What dream is it that you're thinking of?"

Her eyes widened even more. Right now she looked like she had fish eyes. "Oh my god..." She whispered, swallowing hard. "N-Nothing..." She looked away, blushing hard and deep red. It was crazy. She should have known he wasn't talking about the dream because he didn't even know of it. "Forget I said anything. There's no dream. I swear..." She murmured, looking down, bouncing her knee a bit nervously. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid!!! She cursed in her mind to herself.

Llew's reaction was not what he expected. She seemed stunned and embarrased. She was also blushing. She then denied the dream. Dal looked at her for a moment, but he had to say something. "You know, now that you've reacted that way, I need to know what that dream was. So, what was it. I swear that whatever it was there is no need to be embarrased and I won't think anything bad about you. Everyone has dreams. You can't control them."

His justification as to why he needed to know wasn't exactly the greatest but maybe it'd make her feel better if she just told him. Got it out of her system and maybe she'd stop thinking about it always. Swallowing hard, she fidgeted with her hands a bit, not able to look at him. "Okay, please don't look at me when I'm saying this..." She said, looking up at him once and then down at her hands. "The dream was kind of...vivid. Um..." She bit her lower lip and stood up, sort of pacing along his room. Her back to him, she stared at his door. "It was of you and I and we were getting our freak on." She couldn't say sex. She wasn't immature about it but it just didn't feel right saying sex. She was weird about that.

Dal looked at Llew. She seemed quite nervous. He waited to see what she would do. When she said not to look at her he looked down at the floor, but listened carefully. He could probably guess what it was, and when she finally said it he nodded slightly. He looked back up at her and thought for a moment. He got up and moved a little closer to her, but not wanting to make her nervous. "Hey, you really shouldn't worry about that. Dreams like that are completely natural. I am fairly sure that I had dreams like that after what happened in the change rooms and the suggestions of the guys. I just don't remember them. You have nothing to worry about. I am not upset to hear that and you should not feel bad having things like that stuck in your head. We are teenagers. Teens think about sex more than anything else."

Slowly, Llew turned around and her eyes slowly made contact with his face, finding it to be not so hard or painful to actually look at him. Crossing her arms over her chest and she nodded slowly. "Yeah, well see because I'm thinking about it with you, it makes me feel awkward to be around you. Especially since the locker rooms happen to be coed and I saw you and--" She looked away and let out a small breath. "I just want it to stop because I'm not about to let these dreams mess up a friendship." Looking back at him, she bit her lower lip. "So...if I'm weird around you, it's only because of that. It's not like I have a crush on you. And even if I did for like a split second, I don't...anymore." She nodded. Although her fainting was far more than a split second. She and her exaggerations. But he didn't need to know that.

Dal nodded at her. He could understand what she was talking about. However this dream that she had allowed her to access her power better. He needed to consider that. She needed a way to access her power and control it and it was the best they had found so far. He didn't think there would be any better way. He thought again and then went over to her and palced a hand softly on her shoulder. He looked into her eyes and spoke softly. "Is there any way to help you feel less awkward about it? When you used it you accessed your ability using less energy than most people who have been training for years. I won't admit it to them, but you used less energy than even Amellie and Tim. With that method we only need to work on your control. As I said, I'll do whatever I can to help you. That dream will help you become very strong very fast. I don't think we can find anything better. So if I can help you feel less awkward, I think that will help you do even better."

When his hand touched her shoulder, her head ticked in that direction and her eyes widened. Why was it that even just a touch like that could send such jolts of something into her to the point of fainting. It happened once and she willed herself not to let it happen again. Biting her lower lip hard, her mind reeled with ideas on how he could help but she scolded herself for even thinking of it. No way would he want to do that. But it seemed they both could agree that that dream was a definite strong source and method to wield her power without using much energy and still having almost flawless control on it. "Um...I don't know, honestly." She said quietly. "I mean, I have ideas but I could never ask and I'm not going to. I'll just keep using that dream. I'm sure with more practice, it will only get better." Though she was even more sure that if things weren't just dream but real live memories, things may be so much better.

Dal could tell she had some ideas. He even had ideas entering his mind. Yet he knew that doing that would be inappropriate. It just wouldn't be right. He tried to just keep a smile on his face and not let her know what he was thinking as well. Curse his teenage horomones. He nodded as she spoke. "That is probably for the best. Just remember, if there is every anything I can do to help you, all you have to do is ask. I'll let you go now if you want. If not you can stay and we can talk more. It's up to you."

Llew somehow knew they were sort of thinking the same thing. One thing gave it away; they were teenagers and she just admitted that she had dreamt of him in a very sexual way. No duh! Swallowing hard, she fought every urge to suggest something and nodded. "Um...I'll go. I don't want to waste your time. Besides, you probably have a lot to do. Thanks for the talk." She patted his shoulder a bit awkwardly and before he could say anything, she turned and opened the door and left, walking to her room in a haste fashion, getting there and just lay in bed. She stared at the cieling, unable to relax or even get him out of her mind. How could she?

Dal calmed himself and took a step back from her. If he didn't create distance he might do something he would regret. He watched as she turned and left, barely registering what she had said. After she was gone he went and simply laid in bed thinking. He didn't know what to do now. He also didn't know why he had brought up the topic. He wondered what would happen in the morning when they met for training again.
