I miss them not you (Glacier12 x mike85ad)

He pulls away feeling that she was getting uncomfortable. He nods. "I'll handle it." he says softly. "We need to get your stuff from the house too." He says.

"I don't have much there, just the bed and comforter." She said and glanced at her hands "The cops had gotten everything else for me." She said. Carly sighed inwardly, she could just imagine the kids at school talking about why she was gone, different rumors spreading around though know one would know the truth

"I'll try to get my friend Billy to help me move it. He has a truck." he says looking at her. He runs his fingers through her hair. "Have you told your boyfriend or friends yet?" He asks softly.

"No...I didn't tell anyone yet and uh I actually don't have a boyfriend." She said with a small sigh when he mentioned a boyfriend it did make her think of a boy she has had a crush on which made her blush a bit, the two hadn't even talken to one another until this year.

"But you have someone in mind huh?" He asks looking at her seeing the blush. "What's his name?" He asks.

She bit her bottom lip slightly "Josh." She said with a small smile and looked up at him "he's really nice and captain of the wrestling team!" She said brightly, just thinking about him put a smile on her face.

She shook her head "No this is the first year he's talked to me." She said and glanced down at her hands for a moment "He usually hangs out with the cheerleaders." She said and looked back up to him

He looks at her. "Cheerleaders huh? That's a lot of guys weakness." He says. "But I bet you're way prettier than those girls." He says giving her a compliment. He was trying to be nice to his little sister. He knew it was going to be stressful having a 16 year old in his care, he couldn't let the state put her in a foster home or anything.

She felt her cheeks heat up again as she chuckled "Thanks...but I don't think the guys hang out with them because their pretty, I think its because they have no limits to what they'll do." She said, a look of disgust flashing through her eyes before she glanced away and sat up straight. Even if none of those girls admit it Carly stood by her reason, knowing at least half of the girls really were sluts.

"I see cheerleaders haven't changed...they were always sluts when I was in school." He says looking at her. "Not all of them but the majority was. Guys flock to sluts like moths to a flame." He smiles.

She chuckled "Yeah." Carly shook her head softly and stood up, turned and wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug, though she had to stand on her tip toes. "Thank you again for taking me in." She said softly

He smiles and leans down a bit hugging her. He kisses her cheek and gently rubs her lower back. "I love you little sister." he says softly.

"I love you too." She replied, though they might not have talked when they were younger he was all she had left, not counting the cousins who don't live in state. She closed her eyes, feeling safe in his arms.

He runs his fingers through her hair. He holds her close to him and rests his head against hers. He dreaded what he had to do, plan the funeral and all those arrangements but they had to be done. He slowly pulls back and looks at her. "I'm gonna take a shower and then get ready to get all of this taken care of." He says looking at her.

"Okay." She said quietly with a nod, she leaned up and kissed his cheek before slipping out of his arms and into the living room, using the towel to dry her hair off some as she sat down and turned on the tv, pulling her knees to her chest she sighed quietly, she didn't mind that she had to live with Mike now she just wished it wasn't under these circumstances

Mike goes upstairs and takes a shower. He comes back down about 10 minutes later dressed in a pair of jeans, with his shirt off and over his shoulder, revealing his muscular chest. He had his shoes in his hand. He walks into the living room and sits down on the couch to pull them on. "You want me to bring you anything back from the store while I'm gone?" He asks.

When he sat down her eyes flicked to his chest but she pulled her gaze up to his eyes "No I'm fine, I might be asleep when you come back though." She said softly before glancing away and sighed "I'm sorry..." She mumbled softly

"Sorry for what?" He asks wondering what she was sorry for. He reaches out and gently rubs her leg.

Goosebumps formed on her legs at his touch, she shifted in her seat a bit and sighed "For not wanting to help." She said and dropped her head a bit "I mean what kind of daughter wont help plan her parents funeral?" She asked rubbing her eyes a bit as she bit the inside of her cheek.

He moves over and wraps his arms around her. "You were a great daughter. They loved you very much. Don't think bad about yourself because you can't bear to help plan the funeral. It's hard on both of us but I know it's harder on you...you lived with them and saw them everyday." He says softly. "I'll take care of it." He says softly as he strokes her cheek. "You know my cell number right?" He asks softly in case she needed him or anything.

"Thanks Mike." She said softly and looked up at him and nodded "Yeah, the cop had given it to me." She said softly and rested her head on his shoulder. She sniffled just a bit and relaxed in his arms like she had earlier, she might not know a lot about him but he made her feel safe.

"Good." he says softly. He holds her close to him, feeling her laying against him. He rubs her leg, just trying to comfort her. Once they buried their parents he didn't know how she would act. She was a 16 year old girl after all so he figured he'd have his hands full.

After a few more minutes she sat up a bit with a sheepish smile "Thank you." She said softly, rubbing her eyes a bit, she wasn't crying but she felt like she was about too and after all the crying she had done earlier she really didn't want to.

He pulls away and smiles at her. He finishes putting his shoes on and begins to pull his shirt on. "I'll be back in a few hours." He says looking at her. "Call me if you need anything." He says as he slowly gets up.
