Salacia had known the moment her lips touched his that this was a very bad idea and yet she did it anyway. When he pulled her tightly against his body, she was able to feel every curve of him and the thing was, they fit together perfectly. He was the mate she had been looking for and yet she couldn't have him just yet, there were still three more tests. The taste of him again on her tongue, he wouldn't be the only one having a hard time when he finally did pass his final test. It didn't at all surprise her to feel his member pressing against her, after all she was wet enough for him even though he couldn't see it.

When he broke the kiss she was rather breathless and she didn't want him to stop, yet. Watching him step back didn't bother her, emotionally it didn't but her body was still flaring for his. "In the next village not far from here. You will know it when you see it. I'm sure this test will be easy enough for you but please don't disappoint me." Leaning in just to whisper in his ear. "I'm completely ready for you, right now even." It was obvious what she meant as she leans back, the look on her face was something no one would ever imagine would be on a goddess's face when it came to a mortal, even half-god. It wasn't just adoration it was resembling love. Salacia already admitted to herself that he was her true mate but now the waiting would be torture.
 
Orion was out of breath. He struggled but managed to rip his eyes from her as she leaned in and whispered to him. Her voice always seemed to drive him wild with want. "mmm small village, not far. I should...go." When he said that he looked upset, as if he was leaving a lover he had known all his life for the first time. "I don't want to leave..." Orion looked at his forge and gave it a small mental command and it folded up to the size of a small brick. He gave it a curious look and placed it in his bag. "I should be off...wish me luck." With that he strapped on his armor and tossed his bag over his shoulder then broke out into a sprint running for what seemed like hours, never slowing down and never getting tired.

When he arrived at the small village on the outskirts of the woods he noted that it was surrounded by a gate of thick wooden pillars. He ran a hand threw his brown locks and moved into the village with his hand on his hammer and his shield arm raised. He had no idea what was to come but he found it odd that there were no villagers, not even a guard outside. It wasn't that late that stores would be closed but even the inns seemed to be locked up for the day. "Hello?" He called out and looked around.
 
Salacia had to admit that she didn't want him to leave either but he needed to pass his other tests for him to be able to truly stay with her. Such trials for him to go through and he didn't want to even leave the very goddess who had sent that creature which killed some of his family, as a small village usually everyone felt like family. Obviously he was over being mad at her for that. She whispers as he takes off, "Good luck."

The village was empty but it seemed as though someone was coming out to greet him, he looked big and yet he didn't look even remotely stupid. The way he walked was very indicative of his intelligence, it would seem that this test was for his brain. The man bows to Orion before speaking, so very eloquently. "You are Orion, I presume? This test is not one you can easily win if you do not have the smarts for it. I will give you till dawn of tomorrow to find the villagers in this town. They are here but you must use your smarts to figure out where. I will give you something of a hint. Not everything is as it seems. Good luck." With that he moves toward what seems like a thrown in the middle of the village.
 
"What the hell kind of hint is that?" Orion called out. Even if he wanted to he doubted that Salacia would help him with this test. It didn't seem like he would indeed pass them all. He had until dawn tomorrow. Looking around he took notes on everything he could. Building placement. The way the earth felt. The construction of the buildings. Maybe they were underground? He slammed his hammer hard into the wooden ground of the shops after kicking in the doors. "There must be some kind of clue..." He wondered if they were cursed and made to be animals....He checked the barns and live stock to see if they possibly held a clue. Orion was becoming frustrated and moved to the well to get a drink of water. "Are they....already dead and buried?" He asked hoping for a sign of genius to come forth from the water.
 
The hint he was given did seem rather strange, it was going to take work for him to figure out what he had meant and exactly where everyone was. He would find nothing underneath each building, the ground looked and felt the same as it should, nothing truly out of the ordinary was noticeable. Yet, it was eerily quiet when it shouldn't be. Not even the barns held a clue. When he looked into the well he didn't see the same thing, the water showed a different reflection, almost like he was in the village and yet not where everyone else was. Salacia just watched as she would not be able to help him with this test, it was one he needed to figure out on his own. She was not allowed to help him with any of his tests, protecting his village was as far as she could truly go, especially with what the last test involved.
 
He looked into the water with a strange glare. At first he simply pulled the bucket up out of the water by the rope and flung it at the ground behind him thinking the water itself revealed the secret of this town. Then he let the rope fall completely into the water until it was on its last strand and tied it to the pole it was wrapped around. He gave the rope a hard tug to make sure the wooden pole would not break. His first thought was it was a mirror world. Orion jumped into the well and held the rope while swimming as low as he could in the well.
 
Salacia was rather surprised with his deduction as he seemed to be understanding more of what was truly going on. Even the large man who had greeted Orion was watching him closely, realizing he was getting closer to the answer. Orion would find that his thought was actually correct and when he swam to the bottom of the well, he ended up on the other side, in the mirror world. The man was even there to greet him with a smile on his face. "Good job, you figured it out much more quickly than anyone else. The well is the key between the empty world I created and this world. You have passed this test, two more to go my dear boy." With that the man disappeared and everyone else didn't even notice nor care as they couldn't see him. Then Salacia appears with a smile on her face. "Good job on figuring it out so quickly. I'm proud of you. I won't be kissing you this time as it didn't seem to help us much before."
 
Orion was shocked when that simple move actually worked. He smiled as the old man vanished and his lover appeared. "Thank you...umm I don't know your kisses kinda keep me going." He smiled at Salacia and took a step back to pick up his bag. "Maybe I should rest here for the night?" He was tired and hungry but if his to be lover told him to press on then he would. But he figured he could at least get some good food from the village. "Two more...I almost want to just face them both at the same time. I feel like I can do anything right now." Was this what gods felt like or was he getting arrogant?
 
Salacia laughs as she knew he meant it, that her kisses did keep him going, after all he did need all the strength he could get. "Rest and recoup your energy. You needn't face the other tests just yet. If you want, it could be some time together for us to really get to know each other. Albeit, I have been watching you for some time now." In a way she was giving him a hint as to what was coming and yet it was so very vague, it wasn't likely that he would get it. Once he got his things she takes his hand and leads him over to an inn that she had tasted the food from. "You will enjoy the food they have here, it is all made right here and all the ingredients are fresh from this village. I'm sure it will be similar to your home village." He was obviously feeling his power growing, the further along in the tests he went, the faster his powers developed. After all, he would become a god to be able to even be Salacia's mate.
 
Following Salacia to the inn Orion started to indeed feel tired from his travels. With the powers he could feel growing inside him it seemed his body needed more energy until it got used to what he could do. Sitting down at a small two person wooden table he waved over a waitress and ordered two glasses of wine and their biggest meals. He looked at his would be lover and couldn't help but crack a smile. "You do realize I still think all of this is just a bit insane right? I mean..I get that you have been looking for a mate and all the others that you have tested failed but..well lets say the roles were reversed and I was looking for a woman. Would you be offended if I said to you that I had tested all others and you were my last hope?" The thought hadn't crossed his mind until about then. Was she just desperate to not marry her fathers choice?
 
Salacia sits down at the cozy table with him, letting him order the food as she didn't mind that he took control. Actually, she liked that he was taking control because that is what she needed in many ways, even her father thought that way. "Yes, of course and yet you are willing to go through with it. Not really, after all I would think of it as an honor. It's a way of making sure you get the best and knowing they are the best for you. The tests are created by me for a reason. To truly survive and handle both me and my father. My father has chosen someone for me that will give me no freedom at all. He is going to control me, every aspect of who I am will be governed by one man. I can't handle the thought of that." She hadn't told him who it was but this was a very large hint. The way she would lose all that made her who she was for one god was reason enough to even be so drastic as to test all of these half-gods.
 
"Is facing this god my last test?" Orion could feel his body become more energized just sitting a resting for a moment. Suddenly he felt like he could take on the world with little effort and little more than a swing of his mighty hammer. "If so let us be on with it...I am ready." He hit his chest twice and smiled. "Salacia I don't know what it is about you but I am always inspired when you are near and I know that you are watching. I cannot fail." He took the goddess hand and whispered. "If you need help all you have to do is ask for it. I will be at your side."
 
Salacia was rather intrigued with his idea of the last test but it wasn't what she had in mind. "No, you will not need to face him at all or ever if I have it my way." Watching him hit his chest had her laugh as he really was something. It was so very endearing to hear that her presence was helping him to pass his tests. With two more tests to go, she really hoped that he would be able to pass them easily. She needed him, as odd as it sounded to her. She smiles hearing his words as he holds her hand. "I will surely take your word up on that if I ever need you. I will tell you that something which is not a test will be facing my father. It's not a test but honestly it will feel like one."
 
Orion released her hand as the food came to the table and Orion reached into his bag offering the waitress a large piece of gold from the leftovers of his forge. "I need you to know...I dream about you, as if you were touching my body while I sleep. More than once, even before I met you. Salacia you are my muse....I will face any danger if it will keep you from harm" Slowly he began to eat and considered having her as a bride. "If I pass my tests and become your husband...will you listen to what I say and do as I ask?" He swallowed hard and looked her up and down.
 
Salacia watches as the waitress brings the food and Orion uses what is left of the gold to pay her with. That simple piece of gold made the waitress both surprised and happy, it would help this little village. She smiles as he tells her about his dreams with her in them. "Well, I will admit that your last dream before meeting the water nymph, I was touching you. I couldn't help myself as you did look so handsome, even in your sleep." She starts to eat her food as well, she knew this village had wonderful food which she enjoyed. His question did give her pause, at least he did say he would ask her not tell her. "As long as it does not involve me becoming something that I'm not." She didn't think he was like the god her father had planned for her.
 
"Well then maybe you should tell me more about you..I wan't to know who I will be spending my godly life with after all." He finished his food and downed the wine before looking at her and smiling warmly. He pulled his robe tightly over him and looked around. "Perhaps in a room?...Just you and I." Orion stood up and took her hand leading her up the stairs to the inns many empty rooms. He brought her inside a simple room with a bed, chair, and table before sliding the table in front of the door and locking it from the inside. He set her down on the soft bed and sat across from her with his legs spread apart and placed his bag down at his left.
 
Salacia knew that she couldn't tell him about herself with all these humans around. Finishing up her food or as much of it as she could eat, even the wine she does her best to finish up. She smiles, unsure if being in a room with a bed was such a good idea with how attracted they were to each other but it would allow them privacy. Letting him lead her upstairs and into one of the rooms. Laughing as he puts the table in front of the door, when she could have made it totally safe, which she still put a barrier around the room to avoid anyone trying to eavesdrop. Being set on the soft bed as she watches him sit across from her the way he did. "I could have just made it completely safe but I guess that works as well. You already know I am Poseidon's daughter, I am the Goddess of salt water as I do enjoy the ocean immensely. My father has let me do anything I want to an extent and he can sometimes be very strict but I am his only daughter. I've enjoyed doing things I wanted and yes, sometimes it did involve human deaths. I was young and felt like everything was in my way. I've learned that I was wrong and although these tests have ended with human casualties, it's not as if I wont make sure they get the burial they need. I don't know about my mother at all, my father hasn't told me anything about her but we do know she is a goddess."

What else could she say, her life wasn't all that interesting even though she was a goddess. Her life was spent taking liberties with anything she could, even sending monsters on the humans for entertainment. She was truly young and didn't care.
 
"Well...you surely know all there is to know about me..." Orion bit his lip and looked at the beautiful Salacia, it was getting hard to keep away from her. Maybe it was the fact that he was a mortal with a goddess that wanted him. Maybe it was the fact that he was half god, but whatever it was. Something drove him to his next action that he could not explain. He stood up and came to sit next to Salacia and placed his hand on her thigh. Slowly he started to kiss her neck and moan against it. He wanted her more than anything else he had ever wanted in his life. "Bring me the next tests together...." He whispered in her ear and nibbled on the lobe.
 
Salacia did know all there was to know about him, she had watched him long enough to learn as much as she could about him. She had known from the moment she spotted him that he was half-god and yet it took the first test to find out if she was truly correct. She smiles as she watches him get up to sit next to her, even putting his hand on her thigh. The feel of his kisses on her neck was wonderful, the moaning just added to it. She knew that being together in such a small room with a bed wasn't such a good idea. Hearing his words followed by his nibbles on her earlobe, she wasn't sure he could handle both at the same time. It was hard to resist him as well but they couldn't let it go too far. "I'm not sure you can handle both at the same time...." Reaching up with her hand as she slides her fingers through his hair, grabbing a hold of him to pull him away for a moment before she kisses him deep and passionate. She was a goddess and she enjoyed being in control but she did like it when he took control as well, evidenced by earlier.
 
He kissed her back hard. Letting his tongue force its way inside her mouth and gliding under and around it. His hands wrapped around her slender waist and ran up the back of her dress and untied the knot that held it up over her body. "I cannot wait, being away from you is harder every moment...I would die if I could not pass the tests anyways....might as well take them at the same time. How bad could they be?" He asked before moving back to nibble at her lip and tug at the dress to start to undress her. His hands slid over her every curve just lightly touching her body.
 
Salacia was rather surprised with how hard he was kissing her, feeling his tongue inside her mouth and all around inside. It seemed no matter how much control she tried to hold over him he was able to turn it around and put himself in control. It was so very sexy to have someone who was able to do that to her. Feeling his hands around her waist wasn't a problem at all, it was when he reached up to untie the knot that held her dress on. He was so very determined to face both tests together, this would be hard for him but he said he could handle them. She just didn't want him to fail because of his overconfidence. One of them alone would be hard enough for him, at least that was what she had thought. The feel of his teeth nibbling on her lip and his hands removing her dress. Her skin was revealed to both his touch and his eyes as the dress was easy to remove. She was flawless, something no human female could ever compare to. "The next test is hard enough, it will test your resolve. If I could put them together and not be afraid of losing you I would..." Salacia was actually falling for Orion, rather hard and she just couldn't lose him now.
 
He broke his attention on her body and pulled away. His eyes wandered her perfect form and he licked his lips. "I will face this test first thing in the morning then. You are my soon to be wife and I must take your counsel seriously. Therefore I will do as you ask and face the tests one at a time..." He smiled at her and wrapped his arms around her body pulling her to lay down next to him. He rested his head on her chest and closed his eyes. "As much as I would like to continue what we are doing I must rest for the challenge of tomorrow. Please forgive me." He smiled to himself and quickly fell asleep on top of her.
 
Salacia watched him as he looked at her bare body, she actually hoped he liked it but that was rather evidenced when he licked his lips while looking at her. She smiles as she listens to him, so glad that he was going to listen to her and take the tests one at a time. Having him wrap his arms around her and pull her down to lay down next to him, then to basically become his pillow. She smiles as in a way she was glad that they wouldn't continue the course they had been on, it wouldn't end with her pregnant as she was sure it would, he was very virile. Yet it did leave her a bit frustrated sexually with all that he had done. Reaching up she slowly runs her fingers through his hair. "Sleep my handsome virile Orion as you will need your strength for this next test."

She didn't leave him the entire night and when he woke up, she was still there although she was dressed again as it would be too much temptation if she had remained unclothed. "Good morning, handsome. Are you ready to deal with the next test?"
 
He awoke and smiled at her as she asked if he was ready for the test. "I had better be if Im going to be your mate." He sat up and kissed her hand gently before swinging his arms side to side and grabbing his bag up off the floor. "Ummm what is my test?" He asked and blushed a deep red as he realized he had no idea what he was doing or where he was going. "Do you know what it is or are you making it up as we go?" Orion licked his lips and almost took advantage of the goddess while she was on the bed. His heart raced when he looked at her and the faster the tests were over the better, or so he thought.
 
Yes, Salacia knew that he would have to be ready if he wanted to be her mate, she hadn't created all these tests for nothing. Having him kiss her hand before he got up had her smiling. Moving herself over onto her stomach as she rests her chin in the palms of her hands, looking up at him. This was a view that any man would find appealing. "Your next test involves you stopping a monster from destroying a nearby village without any violence. Yes, I do know exactly what I am doing. I told you these tests have had failures, quite a few actually and not very pretty. It's never fun to see anyone crushed by a monster, it makes such a mess." She noticed him licking his lips again, such a sign that he was very attracted to her and wanted to continue where they left off from last night.

It was then that they could hear such a loud noise, followed by the earth shaking below their feet. "I would say that your guest has arrived. Do be a good hero and make sure to talk it down from destroying such a lovely village. You know how good the food is now and I know you don't want anymore people to die. Good luck, Orion." Yet the way she said his name was almost as if she was purring his name out.
