(Distain And Raven)

"Well I think your pretty both the way you are and the way you where. " He smiled able to imagine her with out the wings something he had learned in the army. He loved his ability to ignore things in people flaws, skin color, missing limbs, he treated them all equally. "I can make some calls and get you out of the country fairly easily. But... They wont stop looking for you and once i get you out of the country i can't help you anymore. " He said softly he had very few contacts outside of the US and he did not know want to saddle them with this. "Or i could teach you how to hide and help you do so." He said softly having spend his life learning how to vanish.

She smiled again thankful for the compliment. "Not, I don't think I should leave the country." she said. She didn't know enough about any place that wouldn't leave her sticking out like a sore thumb. She would look like a lost tourist, and her wings wouldn't help either. "No, I think hiding is a better idea." she laughed suddenly. "What I really need to do is learn how to fly. That would fix a lot." she could imagine flying anywhere, especially under the cover of night with her black wings, invisible to everyone on the ground. People were easy to track, they had to get cars or ride planes to travel. If she could fly, then there would be no way of finding her, or knowing where she would go next.

"Well i am more then willing to help you but... I don't think i can help you learn to fly. Seeing as im not a bird that is. " He smiled plating up the food and setting it on the table and looking over at her. "You want some milk or some juice?" He smiled reaching into the fridge pulling them both out and setting them on the table. Gathering some glasses and moving to the table again setting down and looking to her smiling. "I hope you like it. " Pouring himself a glass of milk and beginning to eat slowly allowing her to take her time getting to the table.

"They tried to teach me how to fly." she laughed, "The problem was, they didn't know how to either." She went to the table rather quickly, being on the hungrier side after smelling the food. "Milk is fine." she said, taking a seat. She ate a bite of her food groaning in happiness. "So freaking good..." she said, digging in to the rest of her meal.

He laughed realizing they where about as helpful as he would have been helping her learn to fly. "Couldn't they just push you off a bridge and you either fly or go splash?" He chuckled ignoring her comment on his cooking being good as he poured her a glass of milk and began eating himself. If she thought he was a good cook she must have been starving or mall nourished. "I could teach you to fight if you want. So you don't miss me next time. " He smirked chuckling softly hopping she would realize he was teasing her and was not upset about her attack.

She laughed. "What if I learned to fly after they pushed me off? That was the problem with them teaching me, they had no way of preventing me from flying away." she continued to eat, stopping suddenly when he mentioned her fighting. She looked up at him, staring on the cut on his arm, and fresh wave of guilt coming over her. "Maybe...it would be best if I didn't know how."

He frowned a bit when she said she would rather not learn to fight it was really the only thing he was good at and it made him feel bad there was not much he could do to help. "Well you can stay here as long as you like. I rather like having some company around here you can have the couch as long as you like. " He laughed softly giving her a playful wink and finishing his meal leaning back to sip on his glass of milk.

She noted his disappointed expression, worrying now that she had hurt his feelings. "You will still teach me to hide though, right?" she said, hoping he wouldn't retract that offer. She didn't want to hurt someone as she had hurt him, but she wanted to avoid her enemies as well. She kept eating, quickly finishing off the meal. She thanked him for letting her stay. She would take shelter here for now, but she couldn't stay forever. It was too risky, being this close to the government facility. No need to hide under their front porch.

"Of course though i think i should head into town tomorrow and get you some cloths. I only have so many things i can modify to get your wings in. " He chuckled standing moving over to the sink he placed his plates in and went to gather the rest of the dishes. Smiling he started to do the dishes letting his mind wander a bit thinking on her flying and how cool it would be to watch. His mind drifted around having never been good at talking to women he bit his lip nervously as he did the dishes trying to think of what to talk about.

"Alright." she said, though she was a little unsure. She couldn't go with him, her wings were too hard to hide and the government agents might be looking around the town. It wasn't safe. She sighed, leaning back in her chair. "It's too bad you roof isn't taller, I could try jumping off of that." she said. A forest was very difficult to fly in. The trees simply got in the way. What she needed way an open place, and lots of wind to get her airborne.

"My computer is in the back room if you want to use it your more then welcome to it any time you like. I rather enjoy the company. " He smiled leaning over patting her on the shoulder standing slowly moving over to the couch and setting down. "Any special requests on clothing? Actually ... we should find things that you can wear with out modifying them to much." He chuckled softly standing and leading her to the unexplored area of the house and turning on the computer.
