The male had made his way downstairs and made an order for breakfast by the time the girl had checked their things. He had also thought of something, but he would have to talk to the girl first. He proceeded upstairs and back into their room as he looked for her. "Nia-san, I need to ask you something. Where are we going, exactly?"
 
Nia glanced over to him and smiled, reaching into a fold in her sleeves and pulling out a small map. She opened it up and pointed to a small town "Here" She said softly, glancing over to him "Well, a bit north of here to be honest. There's a temple up there, the temple that helped to create the relic, they should be able to fix things"
 
He walked up to her to have a closer look at the map she was holding, and nodded. "Ah, looks like we'll need to go through a mountain, and also pass a village or two on the way. That's what I'm looking for, actually." He stepped back and looked up at her with a smile. "It's going to be a fairly long journey, and I'm thinking of doing some small delivery jobs to get us some more money for now. Also, we can rest in those villages when we need to."
 
She slowly nodded her head and sighed softly. "Yeah, it's going to take a while for us to get there. I'm just hoping that nothing comes in our way" She said, knowing that if word got out about what they were doing, people would certainly be following, either to stop them or to force them to bring them along to get the power they were seeking.
 
"Well, that's why I'm here... I'll protect you, Nia-san..." He looked at her with a soft smile, as a knock was heard from the door. "Breakfast is ready!" said a voice from behind, and the next second, the door slid open, and the maid from earlier entered in, smiling at them as she placed a large wooden tray on the nearby table.
 
Nia smiled softly and nodded her head "Thank you" She said softly before the knock at the door made her glance over. The food that the maid brought in smelled delicious and she heard her stomach growl just from the sight of it. Rubbing her stomach, she slowly made her way over and sat down, eagerly taking her portion and starting to eat.
 
He smiled softly at Nia and walked over to her, sitting opposite to her and beginning to eat as the well. The maid had left by then, closing the door behind her. As he ate, he looked up at the girl before him. He had commented to himself earlier, but he wanted to admit that she was quite cute and innocent when seeing her this close. He looked away for a second before resuming his meal.
 
Nia smiled up at him when he sat down to eat and then turned her attention back to her own food. This was going to be such a long trip, she only hoped he was actually okay with joining her. She felt kind of bad dragging him along, but this was important, and she knew she couldn't do it alone
 
When they were done with breakfast, Ryu headed to the innkeeper to enquire of anything he could deliver in one of the villages they were passing, and luckily there were two parcels for him to deliver. Soon, the two of them were back on the road, leaving the village to head on the journey to the temple. Little did they know, however, that they would soon be followed by those who knew of the power of the relic the girl held, and also that of the boy's amulet.
 
The next village was rather far, and it took quite a while for them to get there. A few days went by where they had to pause and sleep under the stars, but eventually they made it to the first town. Her stomach growled hungrily as they stepped inside, just glad that no enemies had made themselves known as of yet. "You drop those packages off, I'll go try to scout out an inn or something"
 
It had taken a few days to reach the next village, but they had made it safe and sound. It was a good thing they were not attacked yet, but the male had to keep his guard. He knew for a fact he was good, but not good enough to be considered a true ninja. When they had finally made it, though, he nodded to the girl and set off to one of the larger houses in the area.

One of the packages was meant for the village elder, an old but wise and amiable man who insisted that the ninja stay for a bit, offering him refreshments, to which the boy had to oblige. He hoped that the girl would be alright on her own for the time being.
 
Nia wandered about town and eventually found an inn that had room and wasn't all too expensive. She booked a room for them and told the man she'd be back with the money to claim the key for the room. Giving him a small bow, she smiled and headed back out before wandering around town to try and find him, wondering where he could have gone.
 
Fortunately, the elder didn't keep the male for too long; he did however request him of some assistance, for which he would be handsomely rewarded. The male listened to his request, and was actually intrigued by its nature. He thought about it for a while, and then agreed to help. He would have to talk to the girl first, and she if she was willing to take a little detour.

Soon, he was back on the road, and he looked around for the girl, the thought of what they had to exciting him a little.
 
Eventually, she found him on the streets and wandered over "I found us an inn, we got the money from the delivery right?" She asked, tilting her head to the side a bit and smiling softly. She hoped things would be this easy for the whole trip, but she had a feeling that would be too much to really ask for.
 
He turned as the girl called out to him and approached him, and nodded, holding out a purse with money. "Yeah, this will do for now... Also..." He blinked once, as if to reconsider his decision of telling her. From what it sounds like, it would be too dangerous for her, and he didn't want anything bad happen to her. He cleared his throat a bit before speaking again. "I will have to leave in the evening. I've got another job to do, and it's going to take a while. We might as well rest here for the day and start off tomorrow."
 
"Another job? W-Well why don't I come along?" she asked, smiling up at him as she bit her lip slightly, not liking the idea of being alone. "I-I mean, it can't be so far away right?"
 
"Well, it isn't, but..." He sighed, not wanting to endanger her. He looked a little to the side before continuing, "It's safer for you to stay here. Trust me. I will be back when I am done. Besides, I'm not leaving now, am I?"
 
She sighed softly and slowly nodded her head. "Alright... I'll stay here if you wish" She said, glancing up at him and tilting her head to one side. "When are you going to leave then?" She asked curiously as she began to lead him to the inn she'd gotten them.
 
He nodded with a smile when she agreed to stay back. "Well, like I said, I'll leave in the evening, and probably return in the night. Maybe even earlier. There's something I need to investigate in a nearby area, that's all, but I feel it may be more dangerous than it seems."
 
Nia slowly nodded her head and sighed softly. "Well, just be safe" She said as she began to head up to the desk. "We're here for our room" She said to the man who nodded and handed her a key before mentioning what the price was.
 
The male nodded to the innkeeper and handed him some of the money from his purse. He then took the girl's hand in his and nodded to her. "Let's go, then" As they moved away from the counter, the man laughed softly, muttering about couples under his breath.
 
She shyly glanced back to the inkeeper as she heard him mutter something she couldn't quite catch. She glanced over to Ryu and smiled a bit. "Y-Yeah" She said, slowly walking through the halls until she saw the right door. "Here we are" She said, opening it up with the key before entering and glancing around at the small room.
 
He entered with her into the room and looked around them, taking off his mask again. "Hmm... It's a little bigger than the last one." He walked in a little further before stretching out his arms and sighed softly. "I think I'll take a bath now." He turned to face the girl with a raised eyebrow. "Or maybe I should wait until you're done."
 
"Go ahead, I'll have one when you leave" She said, smiling up at him as she moved to sit on the edge of the bed. She gazed around and then glanced back over to him. "Hopefully we can go through the rest of our journey like this, without any troubles"
 
"Huh, alright." He shrugged at her and nodded with a smile. "Yes, that would be nice..." It would also be a bit boring for him, but he would have his share of excitement soon enough later this day. He took of the sheathe from his back and walked over to the bathroom, closing the door behind him. He then proceed to strip naked before grabbing a mug and starting to bathe.
