It was barely before dawn, in the coldest hour of the night, when Abel beat his way into the well lit, mossy caves. He lead Kaura closely next to him as they traipsed down the largely even, dry cave network. The glowing green moss was amazing. Abel reached up to caress the side of Kaura's face, "That was good, Kaura, very good. This is beautiful. You did a good job leading me here." He was sincere--this was definitely one of the places he had seen in his extended life that was going on the short list.
The caves wound down into the bowels of the earth after a small steep incline, probably what assured the even, largely undisturbed cave network. Sometimes Abel wondered if there was some deep dwelling society of creatures that lived near to the center of the planet, living off of the heat of the ground and aquifers. The vampire lead Kaura down until they came to a cave that was three branches off of the main tunnel. It had three warm pulls in it and was filled the rich, green glowing moss. This would be almost perfect, though his vampiric sensibilities required some small interior redesign. In an area so fraught with magick that would be much less of a problem.
A deep song rang out from Abel's lips, seemingly soaking into the stone and moss. There was a ripple in the wall near one of the heated pools and then an opening like a door. The song changed into a complicated series of what sounded almost like rhymes, moving the stone beneath the moss to create a moss covered floor in the recessed part of the cave he had created, then after he and Kaura entered, it closed, with vast amount of small holes to breath and also see out, though they were largely camouflaged by the moss. The space the vampire had created was enough for Abel to stretch out fully in any direction, standing or laying down. He slowly drew Kaura to the ground with him, his song ceased when his creation of their sleeping nook was finished.
The vampire wrapped his arms around the elf and held her close, his legs tangling with her's. "That was very good of you to lead us here, Kaura. You did a very good job." He whispered into her ear, giving her an affectionate kiss on her earlobe as a small reward.
