He'd seen her there, and he'd smiled at the sight of her asleep. Once the food was ready he knew he'd have to wake her though.

He finished setting the timer just before he called her and he moved up the stairs, moving quickly as he stepped into her room.

she was on her bed sweating the salvent that was fixing her back was burning because it was starting to heal the infection and she was starting to cry

He knew it would do that, but it had to be done. He moved over to her, kissing her gently. "Hey...I'm right here....I'm here."

it burns!!!

He kissed her gently. "I know it does...that's just it working. If you don't bear through this it'll just get worse."

please fix it she started crying again

He frowned, wondering what to do, what he could do as he kissed her again. "I....I......I'm sorry...I can't. Tell me anything I can do to make it better...and I'll do it."

she shook her head just wanting the burning to stop

He frowned as he leaned up to kiss her, brushing back her hair. "Be strong for me and the baby okay?" The timer went off then and he kissed her again. "I'll be right back with the food.

she whimpered and nodded

He woke up Jami as he passed her. "Food's ready..." He moved into the kitchen, setting two plates. One for Jami and one for Carli.

jami groaned and rolled to her other side before going back to sleep

carlie stayed upstairs like she was told to trying her hardest to not cry out from the burning sensation

He shook Jami again, placing her food on the living room table before heading upstairs with Carli's food.

she swatted him away

carlie was still burning

He stepped into the room, kissing her as he handed her the plate. "Be strong....strong for me Carli." He really hated Jessie.

she whimpered but seeing the food she shot up straight reachng for it

He laughed, smiling as he gave it to her, moving around so that he was behind her, supporting her on top of him by her shoulders. "Lean on me...this way it won't hurt your back when you do."

wht do you mean? she asked her mouth full but doing as he said still scarfing her chicken

It didn't hurt her at all because of the way his hands were on her shoulders, and he was smiling as he watched her. "Hey....I just wanna point out that you're caring for the baby again..."

what by eating when im starving?

He smiled as he quoted her words from earlier, kissing her gently on her forehead. "'Alex my baby is hungry..... and so am I....'"
