Meeting at the Outdoor Market (Closed to Ryanmo97 and notexactlyaverage)

Ryan thought for a moment about her request, "Sure... I'd love to meet your brother... Maybe he'll be able to help you tell your mother about us... I want to met her sometime too... Eat up... I'm sure your hungry."

Relieved that Ryan wanted to meet her brother, Taylor relaxed and began to eat her breakfast. She was tired from her sobbing and needed the energy from the pancakes and bacon. Waiting until both she and Ryan were finished, she cleared the plates and began to wash them up.

A week or so later, Ryan walked into the kitchen and found Taylor cooking. Her brother was coming over for dinner that night. Taylor was wearing a simple white tee with a light purple shirt on over the tee, a black pleated skirt that went to halfway between her thighs and her knees, white tights and a pair of black Mary Jane's with a 2" heel. "Hey, Beautiful... What's cooking..." he walked up behind her and started to rub her bottom.

Swatting his hand away playfully, she kissed him quickly before returning to her cooking. "Spaghetti bolognaise, it's my brother's favourite," Taylor answered him with a smile. "I'm going to serve it with salad, can you help me prepare it?" she asked as she crossed the kitchen to where the components to the salad were lying.

"mmm... Sounds good..." said Ryan, "I'd love to help..." Ryan followed her to where the salad fixings were lying. Ryan was wearing a blue polo shirt and jeans. "So is your brother younger or older than you?"

"His name is Samuel and he's about a year older than me. We're pretty close though, we never had one of those brother-sister relationships where we shouted at each other all the time," she told him, grinning as she began to chop tomatoes for the salad. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

Ryan started to wash the lettuce, "I have two sisters. One older, one younger. Tamera is 35 she has three daughters, Kristy, Mary Beth, and Juile. She's a vet. My other sister is Gwenevere but we call her Gwen, she's 31 she has two boys and a girl, Colton, Tucker, and Clara. She's a Lawyer."

"Samuel, although everyone calls him Sam, is a doctor. He does have a girlfriend but no kids. Your family sounds so lovely, will I get to meet them one day?" Taylor asked, a slight nervousness in her voice as she asked her question. She prepared the lettuce and washed and dried the salad bowl before starting to fill it.

"Yep at some point... I've told them a little about you... They both think I'm crazy for having a woman move in that I just met... But they both want to meet you," Ryan started to shred some carrots.

"Maybe that's because you are..." Taylor replied, teasing him lightly. Stretching up on her tiptoes, she pressed a quick kiss to his cheek, laughing. She skipped back over to the other side of the kitchen and began to stir her sauce again.

Ryan smiled as she kissed him, "Not as crazy as you are for moving in with a strange guy..." Just then the doorbell rang... "That's him do you want to get it?"

"Not quite..." Taylor said, grinning. She heard the doorbell at the same time as Ryan and nodded, heading towards the door. Opening it, she squealed as she saw her brother. "Sammy!" she said, using her childhood nickname for her. As he pulled her into a tight hug Taylor smiled. "I've missed you!" she told him. Grabbing his arm, she pulled him through to the kitchen to meet Ryan.

Ryan smiled as he saw Sam walk into the kitchen with Taylor. "You must be Sam... Taylor has talked quite a bit about you..."

"Good things, I hope..." Sam said nervously. Rubbing her hand up Sam's arm, Taylor reassured him that it was only good things. "Sam, this is Ryan..." Taylor said, her own nerves fluttering in her stomach. Smiling at Ryan, she spoke again. "You guys go and sit down, the table's all set and dinner will only be ten minutes or so. I'll bring it through when it's ready," she said with a grin.

"Can I just have a glass of tap water, please?" Sam asked Ryan. Glancing around the room, he took in the impressive decoration of Ryan's home.

"You got it..." Ryan got some tap water for Sam and a Coke from himself. "Here you are," said Ryan as he handed the glass to Sam.

"Thanks," Sam said, smiling at Ryan. "So... What do you do for a living, Ryan?" he asked, not sure what else to say. He wanted to make sure his little sister was in good hands and wasn't going to get hurt.

"Well, at one time I was a stock broker. But, due to some good investments. I was able to make enough money to retire. I still mange my portfolio..." said Ryan, "So, Taylor said you were a doctor?"

"Yes, I'm a surgeon, I specialise in heart surgery in particular. I have to travel a lot with work, but it's what I've wanted to do since I was young," Sam's voice was full of passion, it was obvious he loved what he did.

Ryan smiled, "That's good... It's good to do follow your dreams..." Ryan took a sip, "So... What has Taylor told you about me?"

"Well, your name, obviously, but not that much. She's told me that she's happy with you and that you're very generous and kind..." Sam said, thinking about his next words. "Taylor's my little sister and I just want her to be happy. I get the impression that she is happy here, I just hope that doesn't change..."

Ryan smiled at Sam, "She's very happy here and I don't see that changing in the near future. She makes me happy too... We complete each other," He took a sip of his Coke.

"I can see that," Sam said, smiling. "I've never seen her look at someone the way she looks at you, there's a definite spark between you two..." he took a sip of his water and looked up to see Taylor bringing plates of food through.

Ryan smiled, "That there is..." He gave Taylor a kiss as she set a plate in front of him... "Thanks sweetie..." then he looked a back at Sam, "We understand each other..."
