((OOC: My bad. Deleting older post now. Actually... Is Yajirobe still participating in this?))

(OOC: AFAIK, yes. He doesn't seem to be active on weekends though.)

Martin waited quietly for his chance he figured that there was no reason to talk he didn't cared bit about the other people in the van. He cared just about his own well being and getting away. Martin saw the wreck ahead of time and prepared himself so he was ready. He came out thus unharmed as he looked at the woman and knew this was a chance,"woman if you want me to help then undo my chains and then I will help."

Alex felt the hit and so how it pinned the guys legs in the front where trapped thanks to some rocks. above him the glass window was clear and open thankfully none of the glasses cut him up just landed on him like he was untouchable which in this case was a good thing. Now if he could just get the bar from his feet to bend or break things could go his way. He was behind the driver side so looking down the crashing and jerking with metal and metal weaken the small iron chains that held Alex feet in placed he could maybe worked them to get off the only problem was he wasn't goin to get away just yet. It was too early to make his move when another van would be coming around the corner his best bet he figure was to break the leg restraints and wait until the leave the van for supplies and medic. Then he could slide down the hill and make his way around the woods. He been camping enough to figure his way back to town without being on the roads where they could pick him up quickly.

John bounced around in his seat as the prison transport went over the hill and down the ravine before it came to a full stop. John arm hurt like a bitch from being slammed into the side of the Transport as it flip over onto it's side. But He had taken worse beating in the Joint, so this was nothing in comparison.

Now John Knew that this was an opportunity handed to him on a sliver platter, but he was not sure how to take advantage of it cause he was stilled chained up. But something would change that, it was just a matter of time.

The transport van began to go off then road, and for some reason, with all the commotion around him, Maze tried to not break eye contact with the female transport guard. When the van finally came to a stop, Maze had taken quite an beating, and as one can imagine, glass and steel don't mix well with recovering bruised and swollen eyes/lips. Having broken eye contact about the same time the van began to tumble down then cliff side, Maze's head was throbbing in places he didn't even know he had. He was rattled, his vision was blurred, and there was an curious sensation as if someone were screaming, yet it seemed quite far away.

After a few moments, Maze shook his head and tried to clear the haze from his eyes. Only then did he realize the screaming was coming from the trapped, battered bus driver... And from his own lips. Heights did not agree with him, it seemed. Neither did big rocks or concussions.

Erica opened the metal grate to the back, and stepped into the gap. She looked Martin in the eye. In a low voice intended for him alone: "You're eligible for parole in six years. Do this right, and I'll make sure the Board knows." She reached to her belt, for the key to unlock his handcuffs.

"Are you crazy!" Hank shouted, straining to crane his head enough to see Erica. "You know the rules! They don't get let go. They stay chained up!" He almost shouted the last, like it was a religious invocation from a firebrand preacher.

"Would you rather sit there until you bleed out or your leg has to be amputated?" Erica responded. "Or maybe until the weight here shifts and we all finish going off the cliff? We don't have a lot of options here." Erica undid Martin's leg chain, freeing his foot from the metal bar. "These men may be criminals, but I'm not just going to leave them here to go off the cliff. They were sentenced to prison, not death." She then gestured for him to follow her out the passenger side door. "The rest of you sit tight. There's a tow cable, Martin and I are going to use it to secure the van to something so it doesn't risk sliding any further."

GM's Note: The impact and jerking of the collision slightly weakened one of the loops in the chain holding Alex's ankle. It would take some time and work, but he has a 60% chance of being able to bend the loop enough to break the chain and free himself from the floor. He would still be handcuffed, however.

Looking around, head swimming, Maze saw Erica talking with Martin, and arguing with the driver. It didn't make much sense to him. Then he spied a small piece of metal, part of the assembly that has held the busted window in place. It had landed on the seat next to him.

GM's Note: 25% chance to pick the lock on the handcuffs.

Alex sat and waited for what they were going to do first while he sat there he started to work on his chained up feet an maybe break them so he could move if thing got to bad. He looked around to see the sky was cloudy and something big was about to happen. Snow, rain, a bomb hell it could be the first time that it actually rains cats and dogs from the sky as far as he knows but something was going to happen he could just feel it and he wasn't about to stay down here in this hole chain like an animal to wait and see what so he works to bend the chains.

As Maze's focus began to clear back up, the small piece of wreckage caught his attention. His brain was trying to work out how to do it while not getting caught, and truth be told Maze hadn't been so concerned with breaking locks as much as he had been with breaking down doors/windows and robbing whatever house or store lay beyond it. Still, if he were to just sit here and wait for the end times, he'd never get free if the Guards had their way. So he took that chance, slim as it may have been, and tried to pick the lock, his blurred vision and less-than-nimble fingers fumbling with the lock and assembly chunk.
