The receptionist, a geisha, nodded. "We indeed have sake and hot-springs. We request that you take any fights outside, so as not to damage property." She says. An older man with a jagged scar across his face, that seems to have barely missed blinding him, grunts. "Foolish youth, looking for the first thing to kill, only to die." The gray haired man says as he swirls his sake bowl, then takes a drink. He turns and stares at Rikuya a moment. "Well, perhaps I'm mistaken. You look like someone who could actually survive two blows." After another drink of sake, he says, "You're that orphan boy, Rikuya, right? The one they call the Oni?" The man wears dark, worn armor, that has visibly seen battle, and like it's wearer survived. The man radiates an aura of experience, of countless battles with countless wins and losses. Someone whose seen both sides of war, and lived to walk away healthy enough, even if never whole.

He was just about to carry Kanae to the hotspring to ravage her and relieve himself of the pent up lust he couldn't satisfy when travelling the roads, so close to the shadowlands, but the old man caught his attention. "Yeah old man, that's me. Did you hear about my mighty deeds, conquering bandits, monsters, taverns and cunts?" he asked, sitting himself down in front of the old man, trying to find what kind of weapon he's carrying. "Where did you get that scar? That's a pretty good one. I have plenty myself!"

"This? A Hamare Oni didn't like my head attached. I naturally disagreed with the sentiment." The old man replied. The old man had two sai (TMNT Raphael if I'm spelling wrong) on hip holsters, but it was the naginata, that the old man had his foot hooked on, that caught Rikuya's attention. Weathered, slightly decorated, the polearm had seen constant use, and was in excellent condition. At a guess, the weapon was enchanted. The old man took another sip of sake. "Heard about a couple of bandits killed, raids stopped, and the Namiryu Monastery was beaten down by a man with the strength of an Oni." The old man took another sip of sake. Kanae stared at the old man, as if trying to place him.

Rikuya laughed loudly at his comment about disagreeing with he Hamare Oni, he liked this man. Waving off his question about the bandit, Rikuya merely shook his head. "Could have been anyone. Bandits are everywhere, Raids are frequent, and the Namiryu monastery is filled with a bunch of weaklings who can't even take one to the chin..I DO have the strength of an Oni however" he said with a grin. "Hey tavernskeeper! Bring us some sake here! If this old man want more, i'm paying!". He waved Kanae over, asking her to sit with them.

(sorry for the wait, i've been busy this weekend. Hope you're getting better. Also, did we get xp?)

(Yes to XP, but I usually just keep track until the PCs gain a level, and it's fine. You weren't the only busy one.)

Kanae sat down, but seemed distracted as she continued trying to place the old man. Old man snorts at Rikuya's comment on the monks. "Traditionally, they're more focused on 'enlightenment' then fighting. But it still impresses commoners for a single man to beat many monks." The old man shook off the offer. "I'm due to escort a caravan of goods to the wall. This is just the medicine shot I'm allowed. I'd normally be pleased to take that offer." And he does look upset that he can't. "At least I'm likely to end up dead soon." The old man says, continuing to sip his bowl of sake and stir it when he's not.

"What do you mean likely to die huh? Tough old man like you" he asked, abit dissapointed. It's rare he meets a man he likes, he wasn't about to let him die just like that. "Is someone threatening you old man? Tell me his name and Rikuya here will mess him up for you!". He clenched his fist, making his biceps bulge as if to show him he's serious. If he was going to build his clan, he'll need more than just Harem member, perhaps it's time to start thinking about retainers.

The old man shook his head. "Inside me. A magical disease, that the shamans and shugenja can't cure. I got a year of activity left, before it wears even that away. I'd prefer to die painlessly asleep, or in battle. Since I'm denied option one, I've chosen option two. At least it'll mean something, instead of wasting away." The old man says, before sippoing his sake again. Kanae nods. "You're Hideharu Matsuo, the Hidden Blade. You're favorite Oni hunting trick is an ambush where they underestimate you, usually ending up with them gutted. You're also the former Clan Head of Clan Matsuo." The old man nods. "That is who I am."

"And you're gonna end this life as caravan guard? Hey, old man, tell you what. Why don't you come join us. We're going to make alot of changes here, kill alot of Onis. That's your specialty right?" Rikuya asked, suddenly getting worked up. "You'll find more meaning if you help us train warriors in Oni-hunting ways! This way, even if you die, your legacy will live on!"

He knows that there's something missing here, something not yet mentioned. There must be a reason the man is no longer clan head of clan Matsuo, but hopefully it's something as simple as his disease.

"Hmm... I suppose it would be better. And would annoy my son." Hideharu says, stirring his sake. "I'll see what I can do after finishing this assignment. I'm assuming you're a soldier somewhere, miss?" "Kanae Furukawa, sir. Second Dan, and Clan Head." Kanae replies. "Ah, then I'll show up at your section of the Kagekaze Wall at some point." The old man responds, before finishing his drink. "It looks like it's time for me to go. Try not to die until I show up, okay? It'd be embaressing for us both." Hidemaru says as gets up. With a lift of his foot, the naginata flies to his hand, where he catches it with the ease of practice. He then marches out the door.

"See?" Rikuya said proudly, crossing his arm after Hidemaru has left. "I am already gaining us powerful retainers, i told you i'll bring honor to your clan" he laughed boisterously. "I think i deserve a nice blowjob later for this" he added with a whisper. "Now! To bathe! to Drink! To fuck! Then we leave for our destination!"

[I figured we don't have to RP every sexual encounters using the long battle version, that will take too long. Instead, let's just do the ones that matters. I'm eager to continue the storyline]

(I'm good with that.)

The time passes enjoyably for both of them. After a vigorous relaxation, the two head to bed, enjoying one last day before facing the Kagekaze Wall.

(Sorry about delay. DMing multiple games.)

He made sure to let everyone in the inn hears them 'relaxing', which is easy really, he was fucking her so hard that the room was shaking. "Aaah! That was wonderful!" he said happily as they left the inn. "For such a calm and compossed woman, you're quite the minx in bed you know?" Rikuya said with a grin as they made their way to the wall.

"I suppose it is a noticeable difference." Kanae says. When they reach the Kagekaze Wall, they arrive at a large tower, with stairs going up to the top. "Name?" Says the man at the guard station, looking bored but unwilling to not do his duty. "Kanae Furukawa, and guest." The guard checks the thick book in front of him for a moment. "Alright, please continue on up. Your squad should be arriving shortly. As for your immediate superior, he apparently had something to take care of, so you'll just guard your section until he gets back." The guard finished. Kanae nodded, and began going up the steps.

(Forgot to mention, using the Kyu and Dan system for Rokugan's military ranking. Second Dan means a second tier officer, able to command any Kyu first or second, which is a rank of common soldier. A squad of Kyu twos answer to her.)

"Guest?" He asked with a frown. "Let's go through this again..You're part of my harem, you take care of the paperwork, i do the fighting, so what is my rank exactly?". Rikuya jogged after her up the stairs, for once he feels completely lost. Kanae has mentioned her rank a few times but he never saw the need to try and understand the intricacies of military hierarchies..untill now that is.

"Accorind to the paperwork, you're adopted into the Furukawa clan, with the position of husband at the moment, which will likely change to stud with the addition of other females. According to the Crab military, you're my guest, and thus any commands to you come from me alone. Which consists of 'Don't Die' at the moment. Any questions?" Kanae asks as they climb the stairs.
