"True. But just as you're protective of me it works the other way around you know? It might not be typical but it sure as hell isn't unheard of either." She returned the embrace as she found himself looking right up into his eyes. Her hands, which were still shaking a bit, rested on Urowen's back. "W-well .... " She looked up, beginning to do quick math. "I .... should be about a month and a half, nearly two, already in the pregnancy. So about seven to seven and a half to go." A soft sigh left as she returned the kiss back. She didn't want to say it aloud but poor Maiyume was still nervous.
 
Urowen could feel that she was still shaking while she counted the date in her head. He nodded as he felt bad for her. He wasn't sure what was causing the shaking but he knew he wanted to make her feel better. One of the things he knew she enjoyed the most was showering and being carried. So he decided he would do both for her. He placed his hand behind her knees and lifted her up, cradling her in his arms. "You are so cute when you are protective. At least I know I am in good hands." He said, trying to change the subject. He carried her around the room, not really going anywhere specific, just carrying her as he let hr snuggle against him. "Well I will find some members that will be willing to join and I will let you have the final choice as to who can join. This way you will get used to making decisions, in case there is ever a day when I am not around to make them." He didn't want to think about that, but there was always a chance. And with the possible new Alpha coming, she would take his place while an Alpha grew up to take his role.
 


The second she felt herself lifted into Urowen's arms, her head immediately went against his chest. Her eyes closed as she began to calm and regulate her breathing. Her smile widened as she chuckled softly about being complimented - thought of as cute even - for being protective. "Mmm thank you. I do try to .... make good impressions." A light nod left as she heard in the end, the final say would come from her. "...Alright, love. Until then though ...." She continued snuggling against him. Maiyume had almost let the words regarding there may not be such a day slip from her lips. But the painful memory of Aiden proved .... that may not necessarily be true. In fact, he would probably have to go out on more hunts later; and when he did, she would take over.

It was no doubt nerve-wracking ... but she shoved away the anxiety to make sure she stayed calm enough. Her body began to relax against his as she kept taking soft and steady breaths. "I know we still have time ... but did you have ideas for names?" Her eyes opened as a few more realizations dawned on her. "...What am I going to do regarding check-ups anyways? I mean ... does your healer know how to do ultrasounds and things of the like? Or .... how's this all going to work anyways?"
 
"Well, we just wait. Other than the runaways, we don't have contact with the humans, or their ways. We will have to have the healer check in on you, make sure you are doing well and to listen to the baby. But other than that, it would be like before we had technology." He said, knowing that wasn't a very sound plan. But it was the life that they had given to them. As a race hidden in the woods, talked about only between pages of legends, they were limited to what they could achieve. He had finally decided that the serious mood of the morning was enough and it was time to lighten things up.

"Alright, let's take a shower. There is no reason to worry about all of this now, we have quite a bit of time yet. Let us just enjoy what we have now." He smiled as he carried her into the bathroom before he finally let her back down to her feet.
 


Though the answer was not Maiyume's preference, she understood perfectly why and wouldn't question it. She gave a light nod against his chest, pressing a soft kiss against the side of his neck. She supposed that at least the fact their Healer would continue to check on her every now and again would suffice. The woman was skilled and definitely a trustworthy individual among the clan. At the suggestion of a shower, she smiled and nodded. Urowen was right; the time for figuring everything out - names included - would come later. For now, there was no sense in over-thinking too much on it all. Slipping her clothes off, she waited for the water to finish adjusting before stepping in. The water had always calmed her and thankfully, now was no exception. It was enough to make Maiyume wonder if somewhere in her heritage, she was part Native American herself. She'd definitely adapted much faster to this lifestyle than even she had guessed. "Thank you love ... mmm ....." She tilted her head back, letting the water cascade down her chest and back, getting every inch of her body.
 
Her body glistened as the water hit her skin. As beautiful as she was, he never saw her more breath taking then hen she was in the shower. He smiled as he didn't take too long to admire her body, climbing into the shower with her. Standing behind her, he wrapped his arm around her waist and simply held her against his chest. His mind finally felt it could settle down. He didn't want to show her how nervous he was, how much he wanted to rush the test like her. Now that the test came back positive, he could help but let happiness take him over. He kissed the nape of her neck and snuggled his face into her. "I love you my pet, future mother of our children."
 


A light smile crossed her face, a shiver trailing down her body from the kiss. "Assuming there's more than one to begin with. Humans - for the most part - aren't known for having many more than one child at a time. Truth be told ... I kind of hope there's only one at first. Just a single child looks and sounds exhausting enough." A low chuckle left as she laid her hands upon his, leaning back against him. "Mmm I love you too, my Urowen." She murmured softly. Letting one hand lift up, it grasped the wash cloth and began applying the soap to it. Her head tilted up as she began washing, starting upon her neck, her body remaining against Urowen's.
 
Urowen would move his hands and body only to let her wash where he was covering. "Oh yes, I know that there will most likely only be one at a time. But I wouldn't mind not stopping at just one." He said as he watched her soap her body up. The cloth traveling slowly across her body was enticing. He had to keep his mind under control. He wanted to simply spend the time with her, with the woman that he loved.
 


At the suggestion of ceasing at one, Maiyume couldn't help but laugh a bit. "I doubt that will happen between a few factors. Aside from one I shouldn't need to say, you found me at ... a rather fertile age range. I'm prone to this anyways just from my age alone and will be for ... a while." Her smile widened as she let the cloth go all the way down her body and then handed it back behind her.
 
"With you fertile and our in ability to keep our hands to ourselves..." He said as he took the cloth from her and pulled away from her back so he could wash it. "I have a feeling we may be able to start our own pack." He smirked at the idea. One child or a hundred, as long as they were all with Maiyume he would be perfectly happy. His hands moved down the contours of her body. Making sure the soap lathered on her skin, he pressed his fingertips just hard enough to work at her muscles as he always did. He loved the way she relaxed under his massage and he know that she loved it. It also gave him a chance to enjoy her body in a more sensual way.
 


"To be somewhat fair, I thought most packs were rather huge anyways." After handing him the cloth, she had grabbed her hair and moved it away so he could better get access to the nape of her neck along with the rest of the back of her body. A soft, content sigh left as he began massaging and washing her body. Once he finished, she got behind him so she could return the favor and get his back.
 
"Well, the packs in the old days were." He said as he handed her the cloth and let out a content sigh. He had stepped closer to the water, letting it blast against his chest as he let the warm water relieve the tension of the morning. He hated how his body would get sore so easily, and with the stress he put on his mind by keeping his hands to himself for the last few days had only made it worse. "Although I must say, we have been doing pretty good at keeping to our words." He said with a smirk as he looked over his shoulder at her.
 


"...I see." Smiling as she pressed a soft kiss to the back of his neck, her hands trailed upon his shoulders. They rested for a bit before beginning to gently massage them. Being Alpha, she had noticed, was the closest thing to being like the President. And because of that, she knew he had so much to carry on his shoulders and quite a bit of stress. ".....Something been worrying you love?" She murmured softly, noting there seemed to be more knots than usual in his muscles. She had, out of respect more than anything, gone to Aiden's burning a few days. She had hoped he wasn't still feeling too guilty about that. He had to; otherwise he would have been the one gone ... and she dreaded what would happen to herself. The act was self-defense, not from a cold-blooded killing. Because of that, Maiyume would never be mad at him for that. Hell, he'd probably saved her .... more than he ever began to realize.
 
"No I am fine." He truly was, although he did keep thinking of the burning they had witnessed. He was happy that she had decided to join him in the ceremony. It made it feel better, that he was alright to get closure. He still hadn't gotten over the fear of losing her, and now that they knew she was pregnant, he could only wonder how much worse it could have been. When she finished washing his back he turned around and suddenly lifted her up in a large hug, pressing his lips to hers. "I am just reminding myself how lucky I have become since that night in the forest." He said as he pulled from the kiss.
 


"...Alright love." She smiled back at him, staring silently into his eyes for a bit as he pulled her into quite the embrace. That alone had made her worry a bit more; but she wouldn't push the matter any further. He was blunt like she was when he needed to be and for that reason alone, Maiyume trusted him to speak up if something was bothering him. Carefully reaching over him, she grasped the shampoo, pouring some into her hand. Rather than getting herself first, however, she began gently rubbing it into Urowen's scalp. All the while, she also made sure to avoid getting any of the substance into his eyes. She'd done that more than ample times when she was younger and remembered how much she hated the feeling. She doubted he would enjoy it more. A satisfied look was on her face as she stepped away to allow him to have more of the water so he could wash it out. "There you go love." She had wondered how ... the selecting of the female for their threesome would go. But she would allow him to focus on anything more he may need to at the moment, knowing he had other things and people to tend to given his position as Alpha.
 
He couldn't help but chuckle when she put shampoo in his hair. He still wasn't fully used to having someone clean him. He walked forward so the water was pouring down his hair, washing the shampoo out. He turned to face Maiyume, moving his head a little so the water wouldn't get in his eyes. He stood there giving her a provocative glance as the water cascaded down his muscular body. He watched her shampoo with a playful look in his eye. The day had been too serious so far and he needed to lighten the mood. That was his original idea of the shower but it seemed to back fire on him. Not that it mattered, he knew they needed times like in between the fun they had. "So, were there any women that peaked your interest at the celebration.
 


"....Um ..." She realized that she hadn't paid the best attention back then. Hell if she didn't know better, Maiyume would have sworn she had been drunk. Thankfully she knew that wasn't true; not in actuality. But her mind sure felt like it. Her eyes closed as she tried to remember anything on the female whom had been on her mind. "...You probably paid better attention to whom was around me but ... whomever seemed to enjoy playing with my clit a lot. She seemed to enjoy the entire thing as much as I did so .... probably her."

Now it was her turn to watch the water glide over his body. Usually it was him staring at her; but now she would take her chance to do so. Smiling softly at him, she waited for him to finish up before getting her own hair covered in the shampoo. Waiting for him to finish getting all of the shampoo out first, she then stepped forward, tilting her head back a bit as she began to get her hair cleaned out. She paused before deciding to go on and double check. "... You're really sure about this? Usually this would be considered cheating, even with a lover's consent. That's the last thing I want to seem like I'm doing against you."
 
"To me, cheating is when you hide these things and do it without me knowing." He said as he watched the shampoo leaving her hair with a smile. She seemed to constantly be worrying about the idea, and he only brought it up because she seemed to enjoy it at he celebration. He ran his fingers through her now clean hair letting the water help guide him through it. "I should be asking if YOU are sure about this. I am doing this because you looked like you enjoyed yourself and I want to make you happy, and if this is one of the ways I can do it, than so be it."
 


She went quiet as she thought on Urowen's words. Essentially, that was exactly what cheating was. So it made sense that he didn't think of this arrangement to be cheating. Why wouldn't pure humans have this kind of logic? She gave a quick nod as she began putting conditioner in her hair now. "I am, yes. Most humans are prone to curiosity; I'm no exception. She seemed to know what she was doing .... and it's made my mind wonder a lot how it'd be since then. So .... I am, yes." Taking a step forward, she gave him a soft kiss first then put her body back under the water. Tilting her head back again, she added, "...You know, I'm assuming, whom I refer to correct? Because I'd gladly give you a name ... if I knew it."
 
Urowen hesitated for a second, when he remembered the girl that was pleasing her. He hadn’t wanted to bring up her, nor who she was. Although, it was probably better if he did. He held onto her as she washed the conditioner out, needing the close attention for when he would be telling her the news. “I know this is going to come at a surprise, and you will be a little taken aback by this. The woman that you are talking about is actually a human, a formless we call them. A child born of two wolves that has no power to transform. She has a full blood human ancestor, and that small amount stays in the family blood. There is always a chance that will happen no matter how far down the line you go.”

Urowen wasn’t sure if she had put two and two together, only one type of person was allowed to have human mates, Alpha’s. And with Urowen the only child in his bloodline, that would only lead to one thing. “Elencia is Aiden’s younger sister, although as you noticed, she doesn’t hold the same resentment as her father or her brother.” He waited a bit, letting the news sit in as there was more to the story. He hated the fact that these stories only came up as soon as they affected either of them. “Her and I played together a lot when I was just a pup. My father would laugh saying she was the one who should be my pet. Of course that was all a joke, Alpha’s didn’t take pack members as pets. But it didn’t stop us from getting close. I think the reason she was aggressive with you, was because you are mine, and she wanted to make sure you were taken care of.” He said as he lowered his head.

He didn’t know why but it was hard to talk to Maiyume about Elencia, as if she was an ex-mate. That was never the case, but it didn’t help that as soon as he found Maiyume, Eencia seemed to make herself distant. She even hid during the acceptance ceremony. He truly wouldn’t trust anyone else with his love, but he didn’t want drama to start because of it. He had a feeling, as with everything has been since Maiyume came into his, that things weren’t going to be as smooth as they could be.
 


For a bit, Maiyume didn't understand why it was an issue that the woman had been a pure human like herself. The more he spoke however, the more she began to understand. She blinked in astonishment as it finally got revealed; the woman whom had pleased her so much ... was ... Aiden's sister? "....Wh.....what?! My gods ... they're so different though." She had to look down and think back to them both; switching from their mannerisms, appearance, everything. How could she have been related to a monster like Aiden? It felt ... impossible almost.

But she never dared to doubt Urowen's words. Looking back up to him with a soft smile, she chuckled lowly. "...Well ... irony has always had a funny way of showing up. I wouldn't say she was ... aggressive; not in a bad way anyways. I definitely can't say I saw this coming." She paused, wondering if Elencia hated her. In the end, one could argue it was Maiyume - in a way - whom had caused her brother's demise. But ... she hadn't showed it. Unless, of course, that was an act also?

After a bit more of silent contemplation, she shook her head no, smiling up to Urowen. "For now .... I have no reason not to trust Elencia. I'm willing to give her a chance to prove she's nothing like her brother." By now, she had finished washing all the conditioner out. Pressing a soft kiss to her lover's lips, she then stepped out and began drying herself. "If you were worried about me changing my mind because of the revelation ... " Her head shook no. "I'm very sure I still want to do this. It's ... interesting, the news and all. But ... unless you have a reason to doubt her, I can consider another woman. Or if I'm completely missing another point, inform me."

Urowen should have assumed that she would be so accepting even after the information. She always seemed to be surprising him with how well she took information. “I trust her, and I am sure that she means well.” He said as he turned the water off and followed behind her as he grabbed his towel and dried his body off. “After we eat, we can go talk to her.” He said as he dried his hair off as best as he could. He suddenly was feeling very nervous about the whole thing. How does one ask someone to help please another? He sighed, knowing that would come up when the time is right. Maybe he would invite her over for the night, offer dinner and such. He smiled as he kissed his pet gently before throwing the towel over the shower rod to let it dry.

The abrupt change in poor Urowen's facial expression made her unable to help but laugh a bit. "Awww don't be so nervous love. With how .. eager she was at the celebration, I'm sure she'll eagerly take the offer up." Pressing a soft kiss to try to reassure him, she went back into their room. Trying to make a mental note from now on to bring clothes to change into with her from now on, she grabbed a raven set of fur. The color alone suggested probably from a black bear but not quite the one they had celebrated killing so recently. Wrapping it around her body to keep her from getting too cold, she sat upon their bed, laying her hands in her lap as she waited for Urowen.

(*snicker* Search engines bring up the damnedest things ... even if they don't seem related. Oh well, it was definitely a nice find.)
 
Urowen followed her up to his room and searched for his own fur to wear. He settled on a white fur that was tinted with a dark grey. It was a timber wolves fur that had tried to defend his territory. It was a sad battle, never liking attacking his own kind. He smiled as he wrapped it around him and looked at Maiyume. "It is just, I never thought that I would be asking someone for a thing like this. And especially so with my childhood friend." He said as he stood in front of her, bending down to take her hands in his. He brought them up to his mouth and kissed the back of them. "So, what do you think we should do? Offer her a bed for the night, or just a quick romp and a meal?" He had never slept with two women at once. Until Maiyume, he had never really slept with a woman, except when he was too young to know what it meant.
 


"Nor did I; or even to find someone who'd encourage me to try this. It'd be - normally - very taboo to dare suggest. If you two are that close, maybe it'll make things easier?" Her head tilted as a sudden thought came to her. "...Or ... has she ... kinda liked you before?" It then dawned on her as she recalled how he had admitted he was popular and often sought after. With good reasons but still ... if this would only tempt her to be too jealous .... she was beginning to see why it was making him a bit uneasy. Still, she kept it hidden on her face as she smiled up at him. "I think we should at least try to offer her a bed for the night though in the end, it's her call. Still, I'm sure the offer will be nice at least."
