The past four years had been long and tiring for the now seventeen year old Trinity. Not long after the death of her parents, she took up the road of 'hunting'. To be more precise, she went after vampires. The puncture wounds upon her neck had only made it so very obvious that it had to be one of the blood-sucking bastards. Though why ... was beyond her. Then again ... they don't need a reason ... She reminded herself, shaking her head as an annoyed sigh left her lips.

It was dark in the streets of London, England. It had taken several trips to pub after pub, but finally she believed to have a lead. It wasn't as steady as she desired ... but given she had never found one before, Trinity would eagerly take all she could get. Thanking the bar keeper, she walked outside.

Pulling a silver-tipped arrow out, she began gazing around with her light blue eyes throughout the streets, into the alleyways even. Oh she knew how dangerous it was; especially the latter. People like Jack the Ripper often waited and lurked there. But in a slightly ironic way, vampires were somewhat like the historical figure. They preferred dark places, women, and were usually violent. Or so she heard anyways. She'd never met one before ... but she had always heard about them. Almost everyone in London did, really.

Pulling the string on her longbow back, ready to fire if she found a figure matching the description, her eyes continued gazing silently around. A few raven bangs fell in front of her face, though not too badly. She would still be able to see and attempt to hit her target....

There was a gentle breeze blowing through the air as a tall nineteen year old male stood on top of a block of flats with his arms folded across his chest. Icy blue eyes were scanning the surrounding area below. The nineteen year old male standing on the edge on top of a block of flats went by the name of Dante. He had icy blue eyes with medium length jet black hair. Dante had a slim and somewhat muscular build, and he also had a slight tan to his skin. He had been standing on top of the block of flats for almost thirty five minutes now, searching for one thing in particular. Dante was searching for his next meal. He was hoping that his next meal was going to come walking by any second now. He was hoping so anyway. Of course he was hoping that he wouldn’t have to wait too long as just in the distance, he was able to see a few pubs, so he was sure that there would be a few people spilling out of the pubs sooner or later. Dante was hoping it would be sooner much rather than later of course. See, Dante was a vampire, and he had been for the last year now. He had been turned on a night out with his friends around one year ago. Dante had been attacked by a vampire who then thought it would have been fun to turn him instead of leaving him there to die.

Standing on top of the block of flats, Dante continued to look around for a meal to walk on by. Luckily for him, he didn’t have to wait too long as a rather attractive redhead walked by. His lips curled up into a small smile as he watched the woman walking by. ’She will do.’ He thought to himself before letting his arms fall to his sides. A second or so later, Dante stepped off from the top of the building, and he landed in a crouched position without so much as a sound a few moments later. He rose to his feet and focused his attention on the redheaded woman just up ahead in the distance. She hadn’t spotted him just yet, so Dante stuck both of his hands in his pockets as he started to follow after the woman.

He smirked a little bit as he saw the woman turning into a darkened alleyway, presumably to take a short cut to get somewhere else. Dante knew this was going to be his chance to feed, so he sped up and was in the alleyway behind the woman in a flash. Dante came up behind her, quickly cupping a hand over her mouth to stifle any scream that was likely to have followed. He pushed her up against the wall in the alleyway and as he did, he looked down into her terrified green eyes. ”Worry not my darling, this will only sting for a moment.” With that said, he used his free hand to tilt her head to one side, exposing her neck. Looking down to the woman’s neck, Dante was able to pick up on the scent of her blood, and it caused his fangs to grow inside of his mouth. He leaned down towards her neck and opened his mouth. As he did, he let his fangs graze over her neck, and the hand that had been covering her mouth slipped a little bit. Dante didn’t bother moving his hand back, and instead he simply sank his fangs into the neck of the woman. His eyes rolled into the back of his head as her blood started to fill his mouth. Feeling his fangs sink into her neck caused the woman to start screaming rather loudly. Anyone who was close enough would have been able to hear her, but right now, Dante didn’t really care. He held the woman close to him as he fed on her blood, and he continued to feed on her blood for close to five minutes. However, at least one minute after he had started feeding on her, the woman had stopped screaming as the pleasure of the bite had started to kick in. Dante had smirked a little bit as he was sure that he had heard her stifling a few moans of pleasure as he had been feeding on her. Sure, he may have been feeding on her for close to five minutes, but he still didn’t take enough blood to cause her any lasting damage. She may end up feeling slightly light headed, but it was nothing that a good night’s rest couldn’t cure.

When Dante was finished feeding after five minutes, he pulled his fangs from her neck as blood was dripping down his chin. The woman slumped down the wall of the alleyway to the floor, and as she did, she placed a hand on her forehead. It wasn’t long after this that Dante started to make his way from the alleyway.

((I will have the link to his picture up shortly. Right now, Photobucket is playing up for me. :())

The scream had definitely caught Trinity's ears. In fact, she almost let go of the arrow she had notched. Thankfully, enough self-discipline and training had aided out with her from avoiding this. Following the voice, she arrived a bit too late; but not so much. The sign of a woman against the wall with the tell-tale hint of puncture marks made her scoff in annoyance. "Fucking bloodsuckers ... " She murmured lowly. It did feel a bit wrong to leave her ... with the risk of gangs still being out and about. But ... she had to go after the lead, moreso now that his presence had been made known. "Forgive me ... " She murmured, double checking to try to reassure herself the woman would be fine.

As far as she could determine, the answer would be yes. With the hope she hadn't assumed incorrectly repeating through her mind, she darted out of the alleyway. A man not too far off had began walking away. Inhaling softly, a copper-like smell entered her nose. ... Blood ... She had been hunting and around the crimson liquid more than long enough to know that had to be what it was. Her fingers pulled the string back as she prepared her aim.

"...Hey! You there! Were you responsible for the woman in that alley? Or at least know what happened to her?" She would give him benefit of the doubt; but the timing was almost too perfect. Besides, the true hints would be somewhere on the front of his clothes - maybe face even. And if he turned and showed himself ... she would know for certain. If he tried to run, she would definitely know. So for Trinity .. it was a win-win. Keeping her fingers ready to let go if he made her feel it was justified, she also kept her distance. If this was her lead ... it would be foolish to be too close to him.

(xD No worries. I always use pics ... you don't have to though. It's just a habit of mine)

As he had been exiting the alleyway, leaving the woman behind, Dante had started to think that maybe he had been feeding on her a little too long. He had started to think that maybe someone may have heard her screaming. There again, he hadn’t seen anyone else nearby when he had fed from her, but it didn’t really stop him from hoping. As he had been walking away from the alleyway, he had been hoping that he would have been able to get away without really arousing too much suspicion. Unfortunately for him, that hope went right out of the window when he heard a voice behind him.

Shortly after he had heard the voice behind him asking him if he was either responsible for what happened to the woman in the alleyway, or if he knew who was responsible, Dante stopped walking. He didn’t say anything at first. Instead, he simply looked around, just to see if the female voice could have been talking to anyone else who may have been around at the time. Of course he didn’t look behind him, but he did look from left to right a few times. Dante didn’t see anyone, so he simply shrugged his shoulders. ’So she’s talking to me.’ He thought to himself. Blood was still dripping down his chin, and Dante made no attempt to wipe it away at all. ”It is my assumption that the woman in the alleyway has been fed on.” He still stood with his back to the woman, still not turning around just yet. ”She is not dead. I am pretty sure she is very much alive.” His voice was silky smooth as he was saying all of this to her.

A few moments later, Dante finally turned around to face the woman who had spoken to him. ”She was very much alive when I left her not so long ago.” It was at this point that he wiped the blood off his chin with the back of his hand. ”I must say that her blood was very sweet.” He smiled a little bit, but then he saw the bow and arrow that she had in her hands. He tilted his head to the side slightly. ”And who might you be?” He asked curiously. ”There is no need for such weaponry.” He offered the woman a smile, studying her quite a bit. ”My name is Dante Alexander by the way.”

((I will be sure to get the picture up when Photobucket decides to work properly. ^^))

Trinity stayed silent, watching his every move and listening to his every word. For a while, he seemed to avoid the subject ... which secretly annoyed her and raised her suspicions. Finally, he did turn though. Between the verbal confessions and the signs of blood, even as it got removed, she knew this to be the same lead. It ... was, wasn't it? ... Why is he introducing himself? Her head shook no quickly. It's a damn trick ... a lie! They're good at that after all ...

"Regardless of whether she is dead or not, the fact is ... you still attacked her. Have you not gone after enough?!" And as his name left her lips, she let go ... and allowed the arrow to fly at him. "Thief!" She hissed angrily. "So it was you! Even if you weren't the same, though, it is still my job to get rid of your kind. This - however - will make it all the more sweeter. This is what you get .... for taking my family away!"

With a determined mix of a scream and hiss, she began notching another arrow. Pulling the string back near her ear once again, she took aim. The last - unfortunately - hadn't been so even if it hit, it wouldn't have been anywhere vital. This one, however, was going right for his chest ... through his sternum .... and his heart. At least lungs if the heart somehow got missed. Making damn well sure she had the proper place aimed at first, then she let go, allowing the second arrow to fly loose towards the vampire.

Studying the woman standing in front of him, Dante had to admit that she was very beautiful. He had thought about what she had said to him though. Sure, he had attacked her, but it wasn’t because he had wanted to. It was more along the lines of needing to. After all, he needed to feed, and it wasn’t as if he had drained the woman of all of her blood anyway. He may have been a vampire, but he wasn’t necessarily such a bad vampire. Well, he didn’t think he was anyway. Dante liked to think of himself as being a really good vampire actually. He would only really feed when he really had to, even if he did enjoy it.

Dante had found it hard not to feel confused when the woman went on to accuse him of taking away her family. He honestly had no idea what she was talking about. His eyes widened a little bit as she had fired her first arrow. Luckily for him, the arrow had just missed him, skimming by his head. He watched the woman as she notched up another arrow, firing it off at him. Dante had to be really careful with this arrow as it seemed to be flying straight at his chest. A direct hit from the arrow would turn out to be really bad for him. The arrow flew at him, but then Dante dashed quickly to his right side, causing the arrow to barely miss him. Dante was suddenly grateful for the increased sense of speed he had acquired as a vampire. He turned the focus of his attention back towards the female a moment later. ”I am not the vampire you seem to think I am Miss. I did not take your family away from you. I have not taken no-one away from their families. You have the wrong vampire. I simply fed on that woman in the alleyway.” He spoke in a serious tone, looking to the woman who didn’t look to be very happy at all.

It was after this that Dante started to back away from the woman, trying to increase the distance between the both of them. ”I do not wish to fight with you Miss. I believe you have issues with another vampire that is not me. I also believe you are wrong to think that all vampires are the same, which I’m sure you are thinking right now. All vampires are not the same, and I am sorry for the loss that you have suffered, but I was not the one responsible. I do not expect you to believe me, but I speak the truth.” Of course, he really didn’t expect her to believe him. He hoped she would, but he really couldn’t see it happening. Dante continued to back up and away from the woman, keeping an eye on her just in case she was going to notch up another arrow to fire at him. Turning on his heel, Dante looked back over his shoulder as he started walking at first, but it wasn’t long before he had started to break into a run, looking for a dark alleyway he could jump into.

Tch, dodgy bastard ... She heard muse in her mind. Then again, that was one thing that apparently came with becoming the undead she had heard; an increase in both speed and strength. Her eyes narrowed as she listened to him. "....Then why was I given your exact name?! And not too long ago at that matter? It's only been ... not even ten since I was given the tip. Now I find you - having just fed no less - and .... " Her head shook, finding it hard to believe. "The timing is too perfect ..... " She murmured.

Once he turned and broke into a run, she followed suit. "Liar! Coward! Stop!" Moving targets were a real bitch to hit. But .. at least it wasn't impossible she supposed. In a way, however, he was kind of doing Trinity a favor. Range was better for her, not worse. Her fierce eyes remained on his back as she took aim whilst running. Making sure it was securely notched and ready .... she pulled the string back once again.

Waiting for him to turn into the alley, she then allowed the third arrow to fly, aiming for his sternum yet again. This time, it'd merely go through the back. Still ... she had been frustrated to have missed the last two times. Her arrows weren't infinite in ammunition; she would need to start making these shorts count .... and quickly.

Dante honestly didn’t know if he was going to be able to lose the woman who seemed to have something against him and his vampire kind. He was hoping that he would have been able to avoid any sort of confrontation with her, which was why he had turned on his heel to run from her. He had fed, and all he really wanted to do was to get back to his home and get some rest. That was all he really wanted to do, and he was only now regretting the fact that he hadn’t kept his hand over the mouth of the woman as he had fed from her. That way, he was sure that he wouldn’t have to run from this woman who was on his tail right now. If he had kept his hand over her mouth, then he would have been able to get back to his home without so much as a problem, but now that was wishful thinking, it really was.

Soon he had managed to find an alleyway, and just as he was turning into the alleyway, he felt a sharp piercing pain shooting through his shoulder. It caused him to hit the wall of the alleyway. ”Argh!” He winced in pain as his hand instantly went to his right shoulder. When it got there, he felt the sharp pointy tip of the arrow that had come through the other side of his shoulder. Dante sighed and rolled his eyes as he disappeared further into the alleyway. He glanced back over his shoulder only to see the woman right behind him still. ’Geez, she seriously doesn’t give up, does she? What’s her deal?’ He thought to himself, shaking his head once again. Dante started to get the feeling that this woman wasn’t going to leave him alone until she had set out what she had said she was going to do.

Turning back around to face the woman, Dante took a few steps forward. His hand wrapped around the arrow that was sticking out of his shoulder, and he snapped off the sharp pointy tip that was sticking out of his shoulder. Unfortunately for him, he was able to feel the silver pulsing around inside of his body. He knew that it was going to make healing all the more difficult for him. Dante stepped forward towards the woman. ”You couldn’t just leave me alone, could you? I didn’t want to fight you, but you’re leaving me with no choice now.” With that said, Dante slowly let his vampiric side take over. His eyes changed to that of a blood red colour, and as they did, he suddenly launched himself at the woman, launching at her with spinning back kick.

Her eyes never once left her target. If they ever blinked, it was but for a few seconds. And even then, she was very careful on doing so. Trinity had a habit that went with her reputation. Once she found someone, she never - if she could allow it - let them out of her sight. It had been what aided her in hunting the bloodsuckers down for all the years, since she started it. None had survived; though her still being a human was proof of that, she supposed. A smirk crossed her face as she watched her arrow connect.

But ... then he started to act ... more vampiric. His attitude abruptly changed, he yanked the arrow out as if it were nothing. But the real sign that had gotten her attention ... was the sight of his eyes going crimson. ... W-wait so ... he'd been telling the truth?! Her own heart raced as she felt herself take a few steps back. "I ... well .... " But that was as far as she got, verbally. She had no excuse, she knew. Moreover, there was about to be no point in giving herself one - it seemed - as he lunged at her.

Her feet had tensed to jump back; but with his true speed, she had done so a few seconds too late. A wince and a weak "Ngh!" left her lips as she hit the wall of the alley. A slightly trembling hand reached back for an arrow as she gazed up at the .... vampires? ... Damned double vision .... Her head shook as she began blinking quickly, trying to get her eyes to readjust.

Even though he was a vampire, Dante was the type of vampire who usually liked to avoid any sort of confrontation whenever he could. Sure, he knew some vampires who loved the thought of getting into fights whenever they could, but he wasn’t one of those. He had been a vampire for just over one year, and it was something he was still trying to adjust to. Sure, it was difficult at times, especially when it came to him feeding. Sometimes he found it hard to control himself, but he had been getting better with that over time. It was why he had only decided to feed again today as it had been quite a few days since he had fed last. He had been feeling fairly hungry when he had been looking for his meal before finding the redheaded woman he had fed from. Since he had his fill now, he didn’t really think that he was going to need to feed anytime soon.

As he had focused on the woman standing in front of him, Dante had narrowed his eyes as his vampiric side had taken over him. It wasn’t really a side that he would let take over very often. It was only something that would happen when the time really called for it. Unfortunately for him, this was one of those times. The wound left by the arrow he had pulled out his shoulder was still having trouble healing as Dante looked down to it. This caused him to growl a little bit, and then a second later, he had launched himself at the woman, sending her into the wall of the alleyway with a strong kick. He landed on his feet a second later, and as soon as he saw her hand reaching behind her for an arrow, he was on her in an instant.

Standing over the woman a second later, Dante looked down at her before picking her up off the floor. His crimson red eyes stared angrily into hers as a growl rumbled in his throat. ”I only asked to be left alone, but you could not grant me that request, could you?” With that said, Dante brought his knee up before planting it directly in the woman’s gut. As he did so, he let go of her and let her fall back down to the ground.

Her eyes had remained upon Dante. As her hand finished clasping around an arrow, though, she felt herself pulled up. Her head bowed ... in shame. She was slowly beginning to see, he had been right. Not all vampires were the same; and for once in her life, she was hating herself for doing what seemed to be the right thing. "I ... ngh!"

Her eyes widened as wind quickly began leaving her from the kick in her gut. Coughing and wincing, she didn't mind being dropped. Letting go of her arrow, wrapped her arms around her gut. Her head felt like it was beginning to spin --- almost give into passing out. Her head shook no adamantly. She couldn't let that much happen. No matter what ... she had to at least stay conscious, even if weakened.

With the fear beginning to get the better of her, she wasn't noticing it was slightly making her tight jeans drenched. Her focus had been too much on Dante to care about her sexual side that was starting to emerge. Exhaling deeply, she began slowly - painfully - pushing herself up on her feet.

As soon as he had planted his knee in Trinity’s gut, he looked down at her and shook his head back and forth, watching her just a little bit. He knew that he wouldn’t have been getting into this fight with her if she had just left him alone in the first place. Even though he was now fighting with her, he knew that he couldn’t get too carried away with the fight, because as much as he didn’t want to fight her, he knew that he would only end up killing her if he got too carried away. That really was the last thing that he wanted to do. After all, he wasn’t really that type of vampire. He just really wanted to show her a lesson more than anything.

He took a step back from her as he watched her struggling to get to her feet. Standing a few feet from her, he placed his hands on his hips and shook his head at her once more. ”You are so blinded by your hate for my race.” He sighed a little to himself. ”In your mind, all vampires are the same. You are convinced that all vampires are mindless killers, but that is not the case. Not all vampires take great joy in draining the life out of humans. There are some vampires who will only ever take what they need when they feed.” He lifted a hand from his hip and pointed a finger to his chest. ”I am one of those vampires, but you could not see that. It is such a shame you could not bring yourself to leave me alone.”

Dante focused on Trinity and he waited for her to get back to her feet. As soon as she was back on her feet, he took a few more steps back from her. ”You wanted me so badly, now come and show me what you’ve got.” He challenged her as he made sure to keep an eye on her. Dante already knew that she was good with a bow and arrow, but he had no idea what she was like when it came to hand to hand combat. Of course he was hoping that he would be able to find out, and at the same time, he was hoping that he would be able to get a challenge out of it. He was hoping so anyway. ”You obviously have skill with that bow and arrow, but what kind of skill do you possess in hand to hand combat? Show me.” He challenged her once more.

Trinity ... almost couldn't believe her ears. He could have run then and there. But ... he was asking her to come at him? ... Why?! A mix of a laugh and a scoff couldn't help but leave her as her head shook. "...Fine then! I was going to try to do as you've been begging and pleading ... but now ... " Finally completely upon both her feet, her arms left her gut. ".... Now .... you've given me every reason to avoid losing!"

It was true that normally she was horrid at hand-to-hand, regardless of the opponent. But he had asked for this ... and she had felt an adrenaline rush begin upon the fear that had been beginning to get to her. The mix of the two sent an amount of energy that she just couldn't ignore or resist. For her, she felt stronger ... faster ... as if she had been turned herself. But she knew that wasn't the case.

Whatever had been paining her, she finally ignored it all as she ran forward. The alteration in her pace was now very obvious to Dante. A deft right hand formed into a fist ... and it went for, at first, a seemingly unusual target. His right kneecap ... but anyone with enough anatomy knowledge would know that was actually a very smart choice in the end. With enough pressure to the right spots could lead to immobilization ,even the joint breaking. Even if he could regenerate ... bones would take longer as well.

Dante Alexander

Of course Dante knew that he could have turned and ran off if he had wanted to. He had definitely been tempted to just turn around and run as he was sure most vampires would have done. At the same time though, he was convinced that Trinity still would have kept up the pursuit of him, and that wasn’t really something that he had wanted. It was why he had stayed where he was and decided that it would be better to fight. Did he think it was such a good idea to let her attack him? He didn’t really know, but he did want to see what she was capable of in hand to hand combat, and in his mind, this was the only way that he was going to be able to do that. She was good with her bow and arrow, so Dante simply made the assumption that she should have been just as good in hand to hand combat. That was what he was hoping anyway.

A small smirk appeared on his face as he had heard what she had said to him. She told him that she was actually considering letting him go, but Dante didn’t know whether to believe that or not. After she had pursued him this far, he just couldn’t be sure if she would actually have let him go just like that. Dante simply thought she was saying it to lull him into a false sense of security, and that wasn’t something he was willing to fall for. He was only able to imagine what would have happened if he did fall for that. Dante was convinced that he would have ended up with an arrow through his chest, and that wouldn’t have been good for him. Far from it.

He didn’t move as he finally saw her launching herself at him. Of course he didn’t know what she had in mind, so he kept himself rooted to the spot. Dante let her get closer to him, and as she got closer to him, he was about to jump backwards as he saw her balling her hand up into a fist. He had expected her to attempt to punch him in his face, so it came as a surprise to him when she targeted his right kneecap. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t able to move out of the way fast enough, despite his increased speed. Dante winced in pain as he felt her fist connect with his right kneecap. ”Argh!” His right knee collapsed from underneath him and he dropped down to one knee. Dante planted his left hand on his left knee as he planted his right hand on the ground. He dropped his head down to the ground for a few moments before looking back up to Trinity. As he did, he laughed a little bit. ”You’re better than I imagined you to be.” He nodded his head a little bit. ”This might turn out to be quite fun.” With that said, he winced in pain a little more as he forced himself back to his feet once more. It did take a while, but he did manage to get back to his feet, but it was clear that the blow to his kneecap had weakened it considerably, even with his ability to regenerate. With that said, he pushed off on his left foot and launched himself at her, balling his left hand into a fist and he aimed a punch straight for the centre of her chest.

Her own smirk crossed as she saw the hit connect. And it worked ... almost too perfectly. Good, now this will be more even ... Or so she hoped; but from the difference she could already see - and noting how much the punch had easily affected him - she knew it should. A mere scoff left at his words, "If I weren't somewhat decent, I'd be dead or turned by now! I have to be good! Otherwise I'd have no right to call myself a hunter .... now would I?"

And that was when he began his own charge. Once she saw his aim, she smirked again. That had been one reason she went for his kneecap; it was always easier to go for the more 'unexpected' places. He'd already gotten her gut once; she wouldn't let that happen if she could prevent it. Waiting for him to get closer and close the gaps, she side stepped around. As she got behind him, she threw a punch for the dead center of his back.

He smirked a little bit and rolled his eyes at what she had said in response to his comment. Of course, he did think that maybe she did have a point. After all, if she wasn’t so good at hand to hand combat, then it made sense that she probably would either be dead or she would have been turned a long time ago. There again, Dante didn’t really know how long she had been a hunter. He was guessing that she may have been a hunter for some time, but he couldn’t be sure just how long to be exact. Dante had only been a vampire for just over one year, so he was sure that she had probably been a hunter for longer than that. Still, no matter how long she may have been a hunter, this was the first time that Dante had encountered her. Normally, he was very careful when it came to being out and about at night. Not that night was the only time he was able to come out anyway.

When he had launched himself at her, Dante didn’t really know if his attack was going to find its mark. When she had sidestepped, he growled a little bit to himself, feeling slightly irritated that his attack had missed. Quickly, he looked back over his shoulder, and just as he caught sight of her, he felt her fist connecting with the centre of his back. This sent him stumbling forward towards the other wall in the alley. Seeing the wall, Dante regained his balance, and then he jumped at the wall. Dante pushed off the wall with his right leg, wincing in pain in the process, and then he pushed himself up into the air and came back at Trinity. Coming down on her, it almost looked as if Dante was going to land right on her, but his right foot came down gently on her shoulder, which he used almost like a stepping stone. Pushing himself back off her shoulder, he landed in a graceful manner behind her. He rose back to his feet a moment later. ”What you say holds some truth, but you know I cannot let you win this fight.” He smirked a little bit before charging at her once more. As he closed in on her, he brought his left leg up as if he was going to kick her, but it turned out to be a fake, and he spun around, and as he did, he went to ground and used his right leg to sweep her feet out from underneath her. Whether he was going to succeed, he didn’t really know, but he was hoping it would fool her either way.

Tch, of course not ... Keeping her thoughts to herself, she winced from the pressure on her shoulders as he used it to 'land', more or less. Shooting an annoyed glare, her eyes went right to Dante's. ".... I'm not some damn stepping stone! Don't use my body like one!" That had definitely fueled her on as she got ready to charge. But he had been one step ahead and went for a kick. .... No wait! It wasn't till near the last second that she saw the change; and even by then her muscles in her ankles hadn't reacted fast enough.

Fucker! She hissed, a low groan soon following as she fell on her back. Between the punch her gut took, the pressure on her shoulder, and now this ... she was sore. Trembling hands tried to begin to push herself up; but she didn't even get up to a sitting position. Her heart - which Dante could easily hear now - was racing in fear and anticipation. Her eyes closed as she waited - expected - for one of the more worst case scenarios to happen.

His lips curled up into a small smirk as he saw his leg successfully sweep her feet out from underneath her. As she had hit the ground, Dante sure had been able to pick up on just how fast and hard her heart was beating. He closed his eyes for a moment as he listened to the sound of her heart beating. As he had opened his eyes though, he had expected to see her attempting to get back to her feet, but she hadn’t done that. Instead, she was still laying there on the ground with her eyes closed. It almost seemed as if she was waiting for something. ’What could she be waiting for?’ He looked down at her a little longer, and then it finally hit him what she was waiting for. She was waiting for the end. She was waiting for him to kill her. Well, that was what it looked like to him anyway.

Keeping his eyes locked on her, Dante moved over to where she was laying on the ground, and he stood over her for a few moments. He shook his head a few times before he crouched down beside her, and as he did, he grabbed a hold of the front of her top and pulled her up into a sitting position. ”You still think I’m like all other vampires, don’t you?” He growled to her, waiting for her to open her eyes. ”You lay here, almost as if you are expecting me to kill you.” The irritation could clearly be heard in his voice as he was speaking to her. ”Well, I don’t care how much you may or may not want to die. I’m not going to be the one to kill you. It pisses me off to no end that you think all vampires are the same.” His eyes trailed down to her neck, and he leaned in closer to her. As he did, he tilted his head to the side slightly as his nose brushed against the skin on her neck. Dante inhaled deeply as he did this, inhaling the scent of her blood. He closed his eyes as he was doing this, but then he pulled back a moment later. ”I could kill you right now if I wanted to, but I don’t want to do that. I could feed from you right now if I wanted to, but I’m not going to do that either.” He spoke in a serious tone as he got to his feet, pulling her up to her feet with him. Once on his feet, he didn’t let go of the front of her top though. ”You are going to be coming with me.” With that said, he threw her up in the air and let her land on his shoulder. After doing so, he placed a hand over her lower back to keep her in place, and then just before he walked out of the alleyway, he picked up the bow and arrow that she had dropped. It wasn’t really something that Dante wanted to leave laying around. Besides, he had to admit that it was a nice set too.

Making his way out of the alleyway, Dante started to head out of the town. Dante lived out of the way, so he had a fair distance that he needed to go. He lived outside of town, close to a forest and it took him around ten minutes to get there. A small smile formed on his lips as he finally managed to make it back to his mansion. Well, it wasn’t his mansion. It was the mansion he had taken over when the vampire who turned him had been killed. The link the two had shared had informed him of this, and since Dante had been looking for somewhere to stay since being turned, he saw it as the perfect opportunity. He has been living there since. As soon as he had made it back there with her, he walked inside, making his way through the foyer and over to the rather long curving flight of stairs. Dante climbed the stairs, and when he reached the top, he turned left and walked down the hallway. He stopped the third door on his right and pushed it open. It appeared to be one of many spare bedrooms in the mansion. It may have been a spare bedroom, but it was decorated rather well, and was more like one of the main bedrooms. The room was painted in a crimson red with two large windows on the far wall. The curtains matched the colour of the paint on the walls. Against the far wall was a large queen sized four poster bed with silky crimson red blankets and matching pillowcases. There was also bedroom furniture in the room, including a walk in closet, a smaller wardrobe and dresser, a nightstand on either side of the bed and a flat screen television and dvd player in the room. It was like this in just about every bedroom in the mansion too. Dante walked over to the bed in the room, and then he tossed her down on the bed. Afterwards, he turned on his heel and walked back over to the door. Once at the door, he closed the door, whilst still in the room and then he turned back to look at Trinity. ”You’re going to be staying here with me from now on. You’re going to learn that not all vampires are the same. Now, tell me your name.” He said as he placed his hands on his hips.

Seconds passed, steadily turning into minutes. By now, her eyes had to open to see what had happened. Right as she did, she felt her top grabbed. Soon she was making direct eye contact with Dante. "W-well ... " That had been as far as she got before he interrupted. At one point in time, he got close - a bit too much - towards her neck. Her head jerked as she tried to pull away. A shiver trailed down her body as he revealed he wouldn't feed nor kill her, making her sigh in relief. But then ... what did he have in mind?

That was when she got tossed. A scream left as she found herself over his shoulder. "...Y-You idiot! Do you know how risky that was?!" Wincing as pressure got applied to her back, she tried to pull away. Maybe if she had more strength and was less sore; but due to those factors, she found the task of escaping easier said than done. Sighing in frustration, her head rested against Dante's back as she found herself being carried away.

Even though she wasn't the one walking, she did note it wasn't as close as it could have been. Her head peeked back every now and again .. trying to recognize where she was heading towards. Her eyes blinked... even did a double take at the mansion as it came into view. Holy hell ... It looked really nice; not like the typical sort of place a vampire would reside in at all. Even the rooms, she noted once inside, weren't what she had expected.

As she got tossed upon a bed, she quickly sat up but stopped as she saw Dante in front of the door. Swallowing nervously, her head shook no as she turned away. ... He really expects me to cooperate after dragging me away like that? Tch ... She kept her head turned away, blatantly refusing to speak or make any further eye contact.

As he stood by the door, he watched Trinity sitting on the bed, turning her head away from him. Of course this was something that he had almost expected her to do. Dante folded his arms across his chest as he looked over in her direction. ”Cat suddenly got your tongue huh?” He scoffed before shaking his head a little bit. ”Fine, don’t tell me your name then. You’re not going to be leaving anytime soon anyway, so I’m sure I should be able to come up with something else I can call you.” He rubbed his chin a little bit before nodding his head. ”Yeah, that should give me something to think about a little later. I might even think about that tomorrow actually.” He smirked a little bit at this, knowing full well that it was something Trinity probably wasn’t going to like in the slightest. Well, he was hoping she wouldn’t like it anyway, mainly because he was hoping it would cause her to give him her name.

Dante let his hands fall to his sides as he approached the bed. When he stood in front of the bed, he tossed her bow and arrow onto the bed. Since she still had the rest of the arrows on her back, he decided to leave those with her. Sure, Dante knew it was a risky move, but then he also wanted to prove to her that not all vampires were the same. He took a step back from the bed a second later. ”You may despise my kind for what they took from you, but like I’ve said to you so many times before; not all vampires are the same. I am giving you your weapon back as I did not want to leave it out there on the street. I can imagine you are probably feeling really tempted to just pick that up and fire an arrow right through my heart, aren’t you?” Of course he was sure that he already knew the answer to the question.

He ran a hand through his silky jet black hair and sighed softly to himself. By now, his vampiric side had died down, and his eyes had returned to their usual icy blue colour. Dante focused on Trinity as she was sitting on the bed in front of him. ”I hope this room will be good enough for you. I know it is not the best in the world, but it is going to have to do.” He took a look around the room before looking back to her once more. ”I know you probably couldn’t care less, but this mansion belonged to the vampire who turned me. It might be hard for you to believe, but I was human once….just like you.” His voice became a little softer as he had said this to her.

"...Trinity. Trinity Langton." The mere suggestion of him thinking of a name definitely did not appeal to her at all. With a sigh of defeat, she forced her head to look away from the wall and towards Dante. Her hands tensed, ready to push herself off the bed as she saw him coming. But rather than grab her again he .... put her weapon and arrows on the bed? She stared down in disbelief. ... What the hell is he thinking?

When her eyes gazed back up at his, she quickly noted the alteration from crimson to icy blue. She ... hadn't been seeing things, right? Hadn't they been crimson not long ago? Maybe all he was - had been saying - was true? But then what was the point in bringing me here? Teach me? How the hell does he intend to pull that off? The only solution that had been coming to her mind - not that she would like it - was being turned herself. But he had already said he wouldn't so ... gods she was confused.

She gave a light nod to acknowledge the room would indeed work. "... You kidding? Not the best? Hell I'll admit ... this is not at all what I expected. Compared to the image that had been in my mind ... it's a lot better." He ... had been turned? That may possibly explain the reason his eyes had changed colors. But ... it still didn't completely make sense as to why - no how - he would teach her. Now, the cat had finally seemed to get her tongue, so to speak. She ... really had no idea what to say or do. One part was suggesting taking advantage of using her weapons but another ... was refusing to let her. Though why was beyond her ...

His lips curled up into a small smirk when she did finally give him her name. He knew that she wouldn’t want him to think up a name for her, so he was glad when she did give him and give him her name. Dante folded his arms across his chest once again and he nodded his head a little bit as she gave him her name. ”Well it’s nice to meet you Trinity Langton. I believe I have already introduced myself to you. I am Dante. Dante Alexander.” He bowed his head once more, but then he saw the look of disbelief that had formed on her face when he had put her weapon and arrows down on the bed in front of her. Even though she hadn’t moved forward to pick up the weapon, there was a part of Dante that was able to tell she must have been tempted to use it on him.

Dante tilted his head to the side slightly as he looked down at Trinity after her comment about the room she was now in. ”If this room is a lot better than the image you had in your mind….what image did you have in your mind? Did you think I was going to throw you in some dungeon or something prison like?” He was curious as to what she may have meant by this. ”This is just one of the many spare rooms here in my home. I believe this bedroom even has its own bathroom.” He motioned over towards a door to his right side. After doing so, he refocused his attention on Trinity once more. ”Tomorrow afternoon, I will show you around.” He said to her. ”It can be easy to get lost around here if you don’t know where you are going.”

Letting one hand drop to his side, Dante used his other hand to brush strands of his jet black hair out of his eyes. He looked back to Trinity soon afterwards. ”I can imagine you are probably wondering what I’ve got in mind for you, aren’t you?” Of course he was sure she was probably wondering what he was going to do with her. Dante still hadn’t fully figured it out himself actually. ”Well, it’s like I have already said. I am going to show you that not all vampires are the same, and you’re probably not going to like my methods either.” He paused for a moment before continuing. ”I’m not going to harm you if that’s what you are thinking. If I had plans to harm you, then do you think I would have gave you back your weapon? Think about it for a second.” Dante really had no intentions of hurting Trinity, but he wasn’t sure if she knew that or not. ”However, I will be expecting you to do your fair share of work around here.” He spoke in a fairly serious tone as he had said this to her. Not that he was expecting her to like it though.

Finally allowing her gaze to study Dante, she had to silently admit ... he was handsome. Were it not for the fact she had noted his strength and speed and crimson eyes, he easily could pass off for a human. So .. he really was turned ... Her hands slowly uncrossed, leaving her breasts as they went to her sides. Maybe she had taken this the wrong way? All the same, she wouldn't apologize for defending herself; not when she had been taught all vampires were malignant bastards who took what they want - blood and women especially - and cared for little else.

"...Yeah ...." She admitted slowly, her head glancing down to avoid seeming as if she were staring now. Afternoon because he sleeps long periods of time? Or vampire habit? Still, when she herself wasn't much of a morning person - and she was still a human. "It looked like it from what view I did get over your shoulder .." She admitted, nodding in agreement.

"Well ... yeah. You can only learn so much about vampires from staying with them and simultaneously remaining human. I don't see how this is going to work." This .... vampire was confusing. He had a habit of saying she wouldn't like something ... but always insisted it wouldn't harm her. Ugh, it was beginning to hurt her head. Finally, the suggestion of being his labor servant made her scoff and laugh softly. "... I'm a hunter, not a maid." She murmured, glancing away again. She could deal with having been defeated - especially in hand-to-hand combat - against Dante. But now being subjected to lowering herself from a civilian to a slave more or less? That was pushing it. Vampires were not the only ones with a huge sense of pride. Humans could have that too; just had to find the right one.

It came as no surprise to him when she told him how she had thought that he was going to put her in some sort of prison like place in his home. Dante wouldn’t have done that anyway. For one thing, he didn’t have anything prison like in his home, and even if he did, he still wouldn’t have done it anyway. Dante knew that if he had done that, he knew that it would have strengthened her beliefs as to what she believed vampires were really like. Besides, Dante wasn’t really that type of vampire anyway. ”I will give you the tour tomorrow afternoon. There are a few things that I need to do in the morning.” He paused for a moment before he continued speaking. ”I say I have a few things to do in the morning not out of force of habit, but simply because I do have things I need to do in the morning. You see, I’m not the type of vampire who can only venture out at night. I am capable of going out into the sun too. I’m a Daywalker, just like the one who turned me.” Dante didn’t really know if she would have believed him or not, but he thought it would have been better to tell her anyway.

His lips curled up into a small grin as she went on to tell him how she was a hunter but not a maid. Of course Dante knew that she was a hunter, and he also knew that she wasn’t going to like his idea of making her do work around his home. ”Oh, I know you are a hunter, and I did tell you that you weren’t going to like what I had planned for you.” He shrugged his shoulders a little bit as he focused on her on the bed. ”Just try not to think of it as being my maid. Sure, you might have to do a little work around here, but it’s not really going to make you my maid, is it?” He didn’t really think that she was going to agree with him. ”You’ve got to give me some credit here. Firstly, I could have killed you, but I didn’t, and then I’ve given you back your weapon when I didn’t have to.” He paused for a moment. ”If you’re willing to comply with what I’m asking of you…..then I would be willing to let you go out hunting other vampires. Of course if I do allow this, I’m going to have to go with you.” Dante placed the suggestion to her, wondering what she was going to think of it. He didn’t really know what she would make of it, mainly because he knew just how much she didn’t like the idea of being his maid, as she had put it.

((Sorry if it's short.))

Oh Trinity knew perfectly well what he meant when he said 'Daywalker'. But ... those were so fucking rare. Then again, it probably explained why he had been stronger then others she had fought. Nodding after a bit, she replied, "Actually ... I do believe you. I've just never met a Daywalker before because they're not common." It also meant that somewhere deep down in his heritage ... he was somehow related to the very first Daywalker, Vlad the Impaler. Or, going by his more infamous name, Dracula. She wasn't sure how to feel; more honored or terrified to be in front of someone whom, even if he didn't realize everything about himself, she certainly did. Or ... rather, he would have had this heritage if he was a full one. Once her mind reminded her he had been human, she realized whomever had turned him probably had this heritage. Still, whomever had turned him probably gave him a few of those genes.

With her having become a Vampire Hunter also came the tiring task of research. Lots of it; starting from their origins and tracing the now modern-esque ones. Not only that, but all their weaknesses besides the typical ones like silver and holy water. For instance, the fact they couldn't walk in anywhere without being invited; they were more complex than a typical human gave them credit for.

"...Are you purposely choosing these things to try to piss me off?!" It was hard to do; but if one hit the right buttons, Trinity could lose her patience. And that was exactly what was happening. The desire to shoot at him was becoming stronger and stronger ... and she was trying, first and foremost, to be civilized! She shot a glare as she scoffed, "...In it's own way, yes, it will." Glancing down to her bow, she looked back to him, "Yes .. I will give you those credits. I will also say my patience is dwindling as is my pride. Though it wasn't easy to accept, I already did with the defeat. I'm not doing work."

But the final snap was the very daring suggestion of him allowing her to hunt; which made her stare for a bit then laugh. "... That was my choice of life! I'm hunting regardless of getting consent or not!" This was becoming stupid ... why the hell was she seriously allowing herself to even be kept here?! Gods what was wrong with her?! Tossing her quiver over her back, she feigned a shot; before darting past him, aiming to fling the door open and go down the stairs.
