Touch: The Fluffy Tail (Tek&Wing)

A second pair of geta were provided to him, Nick smiling as he felt like his outfit was complete. He slid them on, the feeling a bit foreign to him. He was so used to tennis shoes or low tops. He rarely wore flip flops or sandals, so this definitely would take getting used to. Even taking the first step felt weird. However, Nick loved their matching attire. They looked a lot more like a husband and wife. Although, this gave way to another thought since he was on the thought of matching attire. Nick began to wonder what Tama looked like in regular clothing like jeans and a t-shirt, or a cute skirt and blouse. Of course, with her tails, there would have to be some modification. The idea made him more curious as he would appear to just be staring at the fox beside him as they walked out. He quickly recovered and walked with her, chuckling to himself.

The air was cold and chilling to his exposed skin, but the cotton yukata did an excellent job of shielding him from the elements, another thing he was amazed and thankful for. Nick leaned over and kissed Tamamo's cheek softly, and while she wouldn't know that was his way of saying thank you again, it was. "Come on, Tama. I can't walk straight. We'll trip." Nick complained, though it was far from negative as he chuckled and laughed, an arm wrapped around her. Yet, they continued like this, and even with the awkward movement thanks to her tails, Nick loved the furriness of them, telling her to keep them that way. As she purred and enjoyed his company, Nick would often stop to gently pick a flower and offer it to her, or to stand with her as they observed the beauty of the forest around them. It was odd to Nick. He liked technology a lot, so he often joked he couldn't survive in the wilderness. But this? He felt so calm and peaceful out here, even if it was cold. If he were to spend his days with Tama like this, he had to admit that life would be awfully perfect...

Unfortunately for him, the young man did have his phone on him, tucked inside his yukata as it lacked pockets. However, being soaked from the dip in the river earlier, it would appear that the speaker wasn't working correctly. It vibrated in his yukata though, both of them no doubt probably hearing the gentle whirring of the small device. Nick sighed and patted his chest, annoyed with the call. He should probably pick it up. What if it was Yuki? Although, this was way too good a moment with Tama. He bit his lip, stuck between the choices, but he apparently didn't dwell on it long. In case, Tama would ask, Nick would just smile at her, shaking his head. "Probably just one of my friends. I'll just call them later." He told her, though he did pull it out. From there, he ignored the missed call message and powered of his phone, looking over to Tama and wanting to stir up some conversation.

"So, is this where you grew up and everything? Well, minus being out in the town with me, this is where you were too?" Nick looked around at the sight of nature, his face a mix of curiosity and awe. "Hm, did you have a lot of friends? What did you do for fun? Did you play pranks on other kitsune too? Did you..." The next thing Tama would hear would be a slew of questions all bombarding her again and again. Naturally curious, Nick wanted to learn more about Tama's personal life here in the forest. He was afraid to ask before since he felt it might've been intrusive, but now with their level of affection towards one another, he wanted to find out more about the woman he'd be spending the rest of his life with.

When the phone began to vibrate, Tama paused and looked up at him with a concerned glance, upset that their time together had been unceremoniously interrupted while also worried that someone from town might be checking up on his whereabouts. Tama nodded, accepting his explanation without dispute as she turned her attention instead to his questions.

"Yes, I spent a lot of time in these woods with my mother when I was a young kit, but when she passed away I spent most of my time with you in town. Its not like I hated these woods, as I have always felt at peace when I am out here, but... The silence would remind me of how alone I was in the world. Kitsune usually keep to themselves, especially when they have young children, so I really didn't have much opportunity to play with the other kitsune much. You were my only friend... That's why I would spend as much time as I could with you during the day, even if I caused a lot of trouble for you as a result," Tama giggled, remembering some of the scenes she had unintentionally caused, "Sure, I played some pranks on the other kitsune to help pass the time, but whenever I had time I couldn't spend with you I would often come back here and gather mushrooms, pick flowers for arrangement in the cottage, and of course fish in the river. Between gathering food, doing the dishes and laundry, and playing with you, Nick, I really didn't have a lot of time to spare. It helped me get past my sadness and loneliness, and I have you to thank for that."

Tama paused and squeezed his hand, pulling herself up to kiss him gently on the lips before continuing to answer each and every one of his questions. Sure, they had spent more time with each other than even most other childhood friends did, but Tamamo had kept most of the details of her private life a secret. It wasn't as if she was hiding any deep dark secret from him or anything of that sort. Having opened her heart to Nick, however, she felt no more need to be reserved. Her burdens were his to bear as well, and his for hers to bear. Their lives were bound together in marriage, until death would them part.

Yet, even then, trouble was brewing for the young couple within the heart of the young woman who overheard their conversation, whose suspicions concerning her boyfriend had been undoubtedly confirmed. She grit her teeth together, struggling to fight back the tears which threatened to pour from her eyes. Just what manner of monster was she? There stood Nick, showering Tamamo with questions while speaking to her in a tone of love and affection that she had never heard from him before. How had she so completely poisoned his mind to cause him to dote on her so tenderly? Yet, all this time he had told her nothing but lies. They had probably been sneaking off together to fuck every night, sneering at her foolishness as they indulged themselves in each other's bodies. It made her sick in the pit of her stomach just thinking about it... It was more than simply envy that had grown in Yuki's heart. It was full-blown hatred. She wanted to jump out in front of them, accusing Nick of cheating on her and becoming the husband of a monster, and expose his betrayal to the entire town. Yet, for the time being she could not bring herself to even move, the pounding of her heart in her chest blocking out any words they would exchange for the time being. The thought of him making love to Tamamo boiled within her, threatening to escape from her violently... But for now, she remained out of sight, wallowing in her self-pity and spite.

Nick listened on with rapt attention, Tama the most interesting subject in the world right now. He found it to be quite said that the place she would wake up and sleep in would be such a lonely place. Which he felt he should have pressed more to visit her in the forest. Granted, that would leave him victim to the majority of monster girls within the forest, so on the flip side, Nick was safer that way. Still, to think that Tama didn't really spend time with the other kitsune here in the forest, it saddened him. "I'm sorry about your mother, Tama." He said softly, squeezing her hand. "I'm sure she's really happy for you now though." Nick felt like she was over it, but he still felt it was appropriate to say something about it. With a gentle kiss to the head, they continued on through the forest, Tama answered any and all questions he had. She was so patient, and he was happy she indulged his curiosity. Nick quickly kissed her back with a smile, hugging her tightly whilst spending further time with his monster girl wife.

As they walked along though, there was this nagging feeling that something was wrong. He felt a bit paranoid after several minutes, feeling like a pair of eyes were watching him from afar. Nick would constantly dart his eyes back and forth, occasionally peering behind the both of them to ensure that no one was there. He didn't see anything, but still there was that nagging sensation. Were they being followed? If so, by who? No humans would be crazy enough to go up this far. After all, monster girls were heavy in this area, especially kitsune. They be picked up in an instant. Wait, was it another monster girl? No, Nick was sure Tama would pick up on something like that. And from what he had seen, they respected each other's husbands. Or, Tama's husband. Of the kitsune he's seen so far, they were mate-less.

Nick let out a heavy sighed and tried to calm down. Hm, she mentioned a resort. Maybe that would ease his mind? "Curious, how come you mentioned that resort? Oh, and is it nearby? I was thinking we could head there during my vacation." The young man said, trying not to show his nerves getting the best of him since he was thinking that some spy from the town was following them. "So, what could we do there? Y'know, minus the obvious hot spring and boarding for the night, kind of deal."

OOC: This feels oddly short, but I'm stumped what else to type.

OOC: Its ok ^_^"

"Thank you," Tama nodded, thinking it was sweet that he offered her a word of encouragement on behalf of her mother, "I'm sue she would have loved to meet you... But I think she knew I would meet you when she sent me away for the last time into town by myself. I do not beleive that it was simply coincidence which brought us together. She's been watching over me in her own way for all these years."

"Oh, some of my kitsune neighbors have gone in the past and they encouraged me to go with you since they know I'm married now," Tama replied, although she too was starting to feel uneasy about a certain presence sitting not too far away toward their right. It was odd that she had not detected it earlier, but whoever it was did not possess much of a threatening presence which would explain why it had taken so long for her to notice. This often meant a human was nearby, but what human was foolish enough to venture this deep into the mountain at night? "It is a few day's walk into the mountains, but I'll send a message ahead so I don't have to reserve our stay in-person. The attractions are the games tables such as pool and ping-pong, the delicious food prepared three times a day for the guests, afternoon massages, a sauna, and of course the outdoor hot springs. None of it is gender segregated, so monster girls and their husbands can spend the entire time together throughout the resort. I've heard that there is even-"

Just then, however, before Tama could continue to explain how wonderful the monster girl resort would be a large stick of wood flew through the air right at the kitsune's head. With a quick flick of one of her tails, she sent it flying back in the direction it had come, eliciting a pained cry. Out stumbled Yuki, her hair strewn across her eyes in a agitated manner as she reached out with her right hand and pointed right at Nick's face, "How... Dare you, Nick... How dare you do this to me!" Tama felt her blood run cold, the color draining from her face upon realizing what would soon follow. Yuki would doubtless stir up the townsfolk into an uproar as they sought their blood, driving them far into the wilderness and away from human civilization. Before she had long to think, however, Yuki threw her left fist toward Tamamo, aiming right at her gut. Completely by instinct, the kitsune slapped her punch away with a tail, then followed it up with a blow of her own right to the side of her face as another tail smacked her with great force.

"How... How dare you as well, little demon spawn... You stole away my boyfriend, then you have the audacity to hit me?" Yuki reached up and touched her bruised cheek, "You will have hell to pay... Both of you. Did you think I was stupid, that I would not figure out what you were up to, Nick? You haven't called me on your own for days, Nick. The only time we talk is when I would initiate the conversation. You are always wandering off, and I can never tell where you are or what you are up to. I guess it all makes sense, now. You were off fucking this monster girl. How can you live with yourself knowing that you are going to be the father of more of these atrocities?"

A warm smile crossed his lips. He was glad she took it positively, especially since he wasn't sure if he was treading on thin ice. "I would've loved meeting her." The smile just grew warmer as they spoke, Nick agreeing with her wholeheartedly. She probably wasn't ignorant to the problems facing their kind. She had to have known. So, the more Nick thought of it, it definitely wasn't a coincidence. The thought made his heart feel warm. His head titled upward at the night sky. "Thanks." Did she hear him? Not Tama, but Tama's mother. He hoped she did...

The uneasiness was still there, but he was still curious to learn more about this resort. Nick attempted to shrug off the negative feelings for the time being. "Hey, sounds like a nice honeymoon spot." Nick nudged her playfully while stepping over a rock, knowing full well that if he wasn't paying attention, he'd embarrass himself in front of his fox wife. "Oh wow." He said in response to her explanation of the games and events there. "Sounds like there's a ton of stuff." Not gender segregated? That sounded awesome. With having to stay separated during the day here in town, to think they could spend an extended period of time together at this resort was perfect. It was really needed, and hey, it really could be like a honeymoon! Wouldn't that be-

He noticeably flinched when Tama's tail lashed out and deflected a projectile, that yelp from behind them sounding awfully familiar. He spun around in shock as he saw Yuki come out. Shit. "Y-Yuki?!" Surprise was far from appropriate to describe how shocked he was. Fearful, for example, was a lot better. The realization of what was really going on hit him, Nick immediately worried that Yuki would go out and reveal their secret. He cursed multiple times in his head, swallowing a lump in his throat. "Yuki, stop!" There was really no worry as he saw the fist pull back unskillfully. Tama easily defended herself and sent Yuki reeling back as well. He flinched at that as well. Ugh, that had to sting.

And now she was back at Nick. However, the anger began to flare as she insulted Tama. Demon spawn, this monster girl, atrocities... Nick had to bite down on his lip so he didn't punch her himself. "You're so fucking pretentious." He hissed through clenched teeth. "Did you even bother to look at things from another view? Yuki, we've done everything you wanted, everything you decided on. I have to call you because you demand me too. And all our conversations were about the most boring things in the world!" Nick's tone was harsh and angry, his eyes narrowed into a firm glare at Yuki as he stood beside Tama. He was done. He was done faking everything. It hurt not to be with Tama, so he wanted to be with her freely. There would be plenty to worry about soon, however, he was sure of that.

"I'm happy with Tama, Yuki. I can't even think of an incident where I even smiled at you when we were on a date." He revealed, taking Tama's hand and interlocking their fingers. "She didn't steal me away. I finally had the balls to tell her that I've loved her for years."

Yuki took a step backward, shock and pain flashing across her face for a moment before anger returned, her hands clenching into tight fists, "Another view, Nick? The only person who sees this any differently is you! How could you to this to me, Nick? I've wasted so much of my time with you, so much of my heart loving you, when all you ever wanted was to be with that... That thing. I thought we where happy together, but I guess I was simply deceiving myself into not seeing what was right in front of me the entire time. You're right, I can't see this any differently because there is only one way I possibly can see it. You've given up everything, you life, your education, your social standing... Me... Just so you can enjoy a good fucking-" Just then, Yuki's voice was cut off as Tama dashed toward her and wrapped her tails around her, lifting her up into the air and slamming her against a nearby tree. Her eyes were filled with anger as well, but also sadness and remorse.

"Yuki... That's enough," Tama spoke firmly, "There was a time I envyed you, Yuki. You could spend hours at a time with Nick, holding hands with him and kissing him while all I could do was indulge myself in fantasies and watch from a far distance at the life I wished I had. But, I don't envy you anymore, Yuki. I overcame my fear, my weakness in wishing that things where different when there was never anything I could ever do to change who I was. I wanted to be human, so we could be normal lovers like you and Nick where. But, now that we are together, I want to be with him everywhere even though I know I will be hated for it... Because, Nick's love is all I need. Its what keeps me going each day, and each night. Without him, I think I would have died alone and forsaken by the world a long time ago."

"Therefore, I will not allow you to insult him in such a manner. If you even have an ounce of love for Nick left in you, then understand that Nick is happy with me and any action you take against us will only hurt him more. Please... I think all of us have suffered enough as it is," Tama set her back down onto her feet and drew back, leaning against Nick affectionately as she awaited her reply.

"I can't say anything against someone like you, now can I?" Yuki's unwavering gaze was just as poisoned as ever, "What will you do if I say no? Will you kill me? Monster girls loathe female humans, don't they? You say you used to envy me, but I saw the way you looked at me from the very beginning. You saw me as a threat. At the time, I foolishly believed that you were simply worried that I would take your friend away, but that was never going to be enough for you."

"No... I won't kill you, but I might come up with something even more unpleasent," Tama giggled, "You know, this is a perfect opportunity for you to understand me a bit better... I could turn you into a monster girl as well, then perhaps you will come to appreciate us a bit more when you are the one being hunted down and hated. I'm honestly surprised that you where able to get this far into the mountains without being captured by the other kitsune."

"You... You what?!" Yuki was utterly shocked beyond belief at the kitsune's declaration.

There she went again. If it wasn't about her, it was about how he looked. Did it really matter? Yuki was so stuck in being a busy body, in being a creature so hell bent on getting the top marks, on being the best that Nick... just couldn't be happy. Perhaps in the beginning, there was some shred of affection reserved for the young woman. She was beautiful, intelligent, and strong willed. She could have been a very happy and successful person, but Nick felt like she was completely absorbed in perfect. He was wasting her time? He gave up her? Nick was ready to retort back, but suddenly Tama had the young woman against the tree. At first, he was about to rush over. As much as he was angry at Yuki, he didn't want this to continue. Sure, he played pranks on people, especially bad ones. He didn't want to hurt anyone or make them miserable

"Ta-" Nick hushed himself as the kitsune spoke, revealing now her own truth to the human girl. How deep did that pain go? Nick couldn't bear to think about the hurt Tama herself had to go through, and he blamed himself for not being courageous enough before to ask her. Yes, their relationship would've been seen as the most sinful thing imaginable, but did it matter? As long as they had each other, they could be happy. So, he smiled as Tama set Yuki down, arms wrapped around the shorter kitsune as he looked to his ex-girlfriend. "Yuki, I should've at least given you the respect to end it when I saw that we just weren't a good match for each other." Sure, he was looking to be happy, but Yuki was trying to find that happiness as well. The least he could do was set her right on that path. "We don't need to continue this. I'm sorry that you had to find out like this, Yuki, okay? Just don't ruin this for us."

But, it seemed Yuki still had her gloves on and was ready for round two. Nick frowned at that as he clutched Tama tighter. Did she really have to do that? However, he did have to look on to Tama with curious eyes. He couldn't kill Yuki, and from what he assumed, Tama wouldn't either. They didn't want to take a life, no. But, that did leave their cover very much in danger. So, how could they handle Yuki, who would no doubt reveal them to the rest of the town. "Come on, Yuki." Nick groaned in aggravation, squeezing the bridge of his nose.

Yuki's shocked voice was joined by Nick's. "You can?!" He asked in pure revelation. That was interesting. He thought monster girls were simply born like ordinary human babies, just the females were the ones that were of monster origin, not the males. As horrible as it sounded, the fox's husband was more than a bit curious to know how this whole process went. He began wondering how it went. At first, his thoughts were centered around something like off a zombie flick where the intended target is bitten and then turned. Kinda like a werewolf too. Though, just like his idiot self, he briefly thought of some erotic situation between the two, and he had to admit, it was hawt. No, hot. Nice spelling. Either way, Nick quickly dismissed the thoughts and looked back to Tamamo.

That was a solution. People in town might not know that. Hell, Nick didn't know it. They wouldn't be able to believe another kitsune from the mountains, even if it was Yuki. Then she'd be stuck in the mountains trying to survive on her own. "... You seriously can?" She never did answer his question.

"Of course I can... But in this case its hardly necessary," Tamamo shrugged, "The reason why you weren't attacked is very clear, Yuki-chan. Its because you are of monster girl birth as well. Haven't you ever wondered why you have no memory of your own mother?" It was true that she lived alone with her father, who was a rather serious man who kept to himself for the most part but cared for his daughter as much as any other loving parent would. He never spoke of his wife, but this was hardly a cause for concern since he rarely spoke about his past in general. Yuki, of course, hotly protested Tamamo's accusation.

"What?! My father would never-"

"Are you so sure about that?" Tama reached out with her right hand, the tip of her pointer finger glistening a brilliant green in the darkness, "I can awaken that monster girl blood within you... Changing you isn't necessary, for you were always one of us. In fact, your name itself is a clue to your true nature: a yuki-onna. You are intelligent and beautiful, but your heart is full of coldness and bitterness toward those who threaten you." The short kitsune's grin spread practically from ear to ear with glee at the revelation, while Yuki's eyes widened and her pupils shrunk until they were the size of pinheads. She sunk down to her knees and screamed in horror, hands clasped against her ears to block out her words and deny the truth of her statements. All this time she had been living in denial, her own external appearance a complete lie. She was a monster girl herself, one of the horrendous beasts which threatened the very existence of humanity? Her mind refused to even comprehend her words.

"Shut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up!" Yuki shook her head vehemently, "Its not true, it can't be true!"

"Promise to keep quiet about this, and we might not have to find out," Tama merely shrugged, looking up at Nick for his approval, "If not, I really doubt anyone back in town will believe the word of a Yuki-onna... One of those, as you say, monsters from the mountain, right?"

Nick listened on with rapt interest. Seriously, that was cool that she could do that. Tama was a particularly skilled kitsune, so he definitely believed it. Hell, she could do tons of stuff when they were pranking people, which only made it ten times more awesome. Which reminded him, they should do something fun like that again soon. He had a couple of sports jocks that seemed like perfect targets or something like that. Ah, but he was getting side tracked. So, Nick tuned into the conversation between the two, quickly noting that, yeah, Nick never heard much about Yuki's mother. On the occasions that he did meet Yuki's father, he avoided mentioning her mother, having always wondered it to be a touchy subject. There weren't even pictures in Yuki's home. He never questioned for fear of reactions by his ex-girlfriend. Now, Nick was all curiosity and open ears.

Yuki-onna? Based off of his foxy mate's words, it made sense now. Yuki was jealous, yeah, but in such a way that Nick could literally taste the hatred off of her towards Tama. Like... like Yuki was claiming a mate or something! Others might have called it jealousy to the extreme, but now knowing Yuki's true nature, it's obviously a monster girl trait to him. "That's insane..." Nick muttered to himself as he stood beside Tama, flinching a little at the sound of Yuki's voice screaming out in denial. Looking at it now, Yuki caused them a lot of grief. But, now he felt... just sorry for her. What if he were in her shoes? Nick loved Tama, but he didn't want to destroy Yuki's world. Still, even if it wasn't now, it would've been toppled upside down sooner or later.

Looking down to Tama, he took her hand and squeezed it tightly, nodding to her. "Yuki, I love Tama. I always have. I'm sorry you had to find out like this, and even more so that you had to find out you've been a monster girl all your life. But, c'mon. We can all be happy. I won't forgive you if you endanger Tama's well being. Not for the rest of my life. And I don't want you to go back down there with your life turned upside down because of what you found out today." Nick moved to wrap an arm around the shorter fox girl, eyes still glued to Yuki's figure on the ground as he held a stern expression. "What're you going to do, Yuki?"

"Shut up... Just shut up, both of you," Yuki's hands griped the sides of her head with increasing pressure, attempting to hold at bay the truth of their words. She couldn't accept it. Rather, she would not accept it. Everything that she had believed concerning herself and the monster girls had been a farce, a carefully crafted web of lies and deceit that not only herself but at least her father as well had interwoven throughout her life. Had the feelings that she thought she had toward Nick nothing more than her base instincts to claim a mate? Why was there this deep-set sensation of pain and sadness deep within her heart, a coldness that could only be described as a chilling, piercing blade which cut at her very soul? Did she even know Herself anymore?

In her mind's eye she could begin to see dim figures, fragments of memories that she had long since buried and forgotten deep within her subconsciousness. She could see a woman's face, the face of a pale white woman with silver flowing hair and dark black eyes which stared intently down at her. She could feel her arms surrounding her, lifting her up as her bare feet hung in the air and the soft, soothing sensation of her cool fingertips through the fabric of her clothes placing her down upon the smooth tile floor. the woman had a calm yet morose look to her as her eyebrows where slightly furrowed, but her beauty was that of most fine marble. She wore a pale periwinkle robe and a sash of light blue tied about her middle, which contrasted with the full, healthy pink of the woman's thin lips. All at once, however, the vision faded, leaving poor Yuki with the full weight of the terrible truth. Yet, it took only a moment for her to conceptualize what she must do.

"You... You forget, Tama... That since we are both monster girls, then we are equals in life and in claim to Nick," her eyes, eyes of finality and determination, lifted up as she stood before them now, not as Yuki the human, but as Yuki the yuki-onna,"The bond which binds a monster and her mate is not that of love. It is of domination, control, and need one for the other. Just as humanity's continuity is dependent on human males and females coming together to bear children, our own survival is dependent on human males being taken, willing or otherwise, for our use. This is an inescapable consequence of our very being. You claim to love each other, but from the beginning was it not built on Tama's desires? How is that any different from the bond I formed with Nick?"

She turned her back to the young pair and glanced at them over her shoulder, a chilling smile spreading across her lips, "I will take what is mine in time... But digression is the better part of valor. Clearly, I do not wish for the humans of the town to stir up... additional complications, shall we say? Rest assured that I have no reason to use them to accomplish my purposes any longer. I'll do that on my own power." With that, she set out into the dim forest, each step forming footprints in the soil... Footprints made of solid ice.

Nick's expression hardened a bit. Yuki could be pretty stubborn, but in this situation, he was far from taking it like that. However, he respected her wish, he could say and just waited for her. Whatever she was going through in her head, Nick wasn't sure if he could even fathom the depth of it. Turning to look to Tama, he had to ask. "What exactly do we do if she doesn't cooperate? Yeah, you can turn her into a yuki-onna, but then what? Now we've got a monster girl Yuki who will probably attack you." He whispered into Tama's furry ear softly, furrowing his brow in thought. Straightening up, he then sighed and thought. "Man, I should've just done the noble thing and told her no when we first started dating." It was more to himself than anything, but no time to dwell on the past. Especially now as Yuki seemed to pick herself back up. Though, what he was seeing, that was far from what he expected.

Yuki had transformed herself! "Whoa..." Yes, Yuki looked quite beautiful before (and his heart belonged to Tama and he'd always find her the shiniest pearl in the bunch), but now she almost transcended her physical appearance that was both fearfully and magnificently gorgeous. Shaking his head, the now only human pretty much in this forest took in her words. Eyes briefly going over to Tamamo, he swallowed a lump in his throat. "What? No, Yuki, humans and monster girls find their love out of... well, love." He began, but he somehow felt like he wasn't going to get through to her. And it showed. One thing he knew for sure is that this wouldn't end well, and that this wouldn't be the last time they saw Yuki. Watching her leave, he shivered a bit, almost feeling the ice in her footprints.

Looking to Tama, he scratched the side of his cheek. "... I know it might look like I'm not taking this seriously, but I always imagined girls fighting over me to be a lot more, uh, exciting than this? Now, I'm a bit concerned when we see her next." What? He was being honest. Digressing from the subject, he took her into his arms and gave her a big hug, a huge sigh escaping his lips. "Seriously, though. I'm glad that it's at least done for now. I'm not gonna lie, I was scared. I still am, but less so. Just... even if you could handle it, I was worried about you." Nick confessed, standing there in the mountain forest air, enjoying the warmth her body gave him through their yukatas. It was a good bit that he just held her, happy that it ended with... less conflict that he anticipated. Yuki would be back, no doubt, but she wasn't here now.

Finally letting go, Nick smiled down at Tama, patting her head playfully since he had some height on her. "So, let's get back to just enjoying each other for now, hm? No more worrying business."

"Well, I didn't really think that far ahead," Tama pressed her pointer fingers together in a sheepish manner, "I'm more than a match for a newly-awakened yuki-onna who doesn't have a husband, but its not like I want to fight Yuki... Sure, I disliked that you two would spend time together as boyfriend and girlfriend, but that's behind us now." The kitsune shot him a somewhat irked glance when Nick stared in awe at Yuki's true form.

Yuki's words certainly did strike a cord within Tama, but there were a few essential points at which she would disagree. Monster girls were, after all, more than simply animals. They had a will and soul of their own, and possessed the ability to love above and beyond a simply physical level. Even monster girls had a point at which bonds, friendship, and love was more than simple instinct and although the way in which they went about it was different from humans, monster girls and humans could share a mutual love and respect as genuine as any that humans might possess. Of course, explaining all this to Yuki at this point was all but futile as she was not discussing the issue but rather stating the facts as she saw them. When she turned to leave, Tama could tell that she was going to be back to claim Nick, and that she had no intentions of giving up until she succeeded in stealing him away. A line of war had been drawn in the sand, but Tamamo had no intentions of backing down either. The tender warmth of the embrace that Nick hand encompassed her with served to reinforce her resolve.

"This isn't the time to be thinking about stuff like that!" Tama swatted his arm away with a comical wave of her arm, somewhat annoyed that he took full advantage of the difference in height, "I could protect us both from her if we needed to... What's important is that we have bought ourselves some time. Time is what we have and what we should cherish." She smiled as her right hand grasped his sleeve while her left rested just above her abdomen. "I'm glad you were worried about me, but I'm not going to let anyone break us apart."

OOC: Gah, I have a saved post on my other PC, but I guess I'll just rewrite it. >.<

Nick was briefly reminded of how Tamamo was, in a way, in Yuki's position before. Watching both Yuki and himself laugh or go on dates. Granted, they weren't for long, but he wondered the pain she had to endure or how much she tried to keep her own emotions at bay for his sake. Ah, but now he felt like he was going to ruin the mood again. Yuki was gone, and yes they would see her again, but they had something more important to look at; themselves! Which reminded Nick of what they were talking about before. The resort for couples up here in the mountains. Wait, couples? But, there weren't a lot of men he knew about in town that had bonded with a monster girl here in the mountain. Even if he did, they would've been chased out of town too, so they wouldn't be seen for long. Did that mean they were up here in the mountains? He had to ask. "So, how many couples do you think are at the resort? I mean, I don't know a lot of guys that fell in love up here. Do you?" Nick asked with a deep curiosity. He wondered if there were men in town that hid their own secret. If he met them at the resort, well, that would be fairly awkward. Especially when they would bump into town.

Anyways, now he was just thinking about the resort period. Oh the amount of fun they could have, he was getting excited! "So, c'mon! When can we go?!" His voice was filled to the brim with utter excitement, like a little kid in a candy store. Suddenly in front of Tama as he walked backwards, he went starry-eyed as he imagined the fun there. "Oh man, I bet they've got fried food! I mean, if it doesn't, that's cool too. But from what you said, it sounds like they've got tons of food stalls. Hey, we should probably grab an ice cream cone and share it! Or better yet, maybe we can like a super tall stack!" Nick was bouncing back and forth, hopping up and down, listing off numerous items for the two of them to do once they got there. If it wasn't evident, the sheer idea of spending even a day at this resort with the woman he loved was the greatest thing in his mind since sliced bread. Absolutely wonderful!

But, finally, Nick calmed down and beamed a smile at Tama as she spoke to him. She could protect both of them? Yes, she could. Nick wanted to be her knight in shining armor, but he had to admit against a monster girl, he would lose. The main reason was because he was a guy. They could probably infect him with their pheromones or something and that would take him down. As much as he hated the idea, too. Shaking the thought, he placed his own hand atop hers resting upon her abdomen. "We're not going to let anyone break us apart." He corrected her with a loving smile, leaning into to give her a peck on the lips. "So, when are we headed to that resort?"

"I really can't say for sure how many there are, actually," Tamamo tapped her chin a few times while her tails swayed back and forth slowly, "Its a very large resort from what I hear, and word spreads quickly among us monster girls so I'm sure even though marriages between humans and monster girls are rather rare, they would gather from far and wide to create valuable social connections. After all, its important to get to know other guys." She gave him a little nudge and a somewhat cheeky smile, "You can swap stories and perhaps even learn a thing or two from the more experienced husbands. Of course, its always nice to let loose and relax, too."

The kitsune eyed her husband for a moment. It would take some time before they could set it all up, with reservations and finding some sort of reasonable excuse for Nick to take a week or more off from school in order to travel with her to the resort. Enjoying themselves while they were at the resort was certainly a consideration, but unless he planned on turning his back on human society in its entirety, they would have to think this through clearly before making any rash moves. Still, the way Nick hopped back and forth made her heart quiver and brought a warm smile to her lips. Even as he laid his hand down upon hers, right above where the tiny life within her grew, she couldn't think of anywhere else she would want to be other than by his side every moment of the day.

"Uhm, I'm ready at any time, Love," Tama tilted her head back to look directly at him as she spoke, "I don't have a lot to pack up, after all... I'd be more worried about your collage. I mean, won't they notice if you take a few days off from all of your classes?" Nick attended all of his lessons, except for illnesses and the like, even if he found them terribly boring. They would certainly notice since Yuki would be gone as well, which brought up the problem of how Nick would explain her absence.

Ah, so it wasn't just some small time resort that just this forest's inhabitants rested at. That probably made it even more interesting. To be quite honest, the only monster girls he actually saw were the kitsune in this forest. Maybe he saw a slime girl here or there, but that was probably it. Even he did see one of those, they were probably passing by. So, it only made sense that he would be naturally curious at seeing other monster girls. It made him so curious one day that he sought out the Internet to find pictures of them. Surprisingly, he only found erotic art of them (aka, hentai) depicted in many sexual instances. Well, he would never admit to Tama, but the young man couldn't quite... help himself when these pictures found themselves up on his computer monitor. "Hm, interesting. I guess it would be fun to - hm?" Nick paused to take in her words, his brain processing it while the gears churned. Immediately, he went on the defensive and crossed his arms, staring off to the side with a small hint of red on his cheeks. "I-I don't need to learn anything!" He cutely snapped back, flailing his arms about. As big of a lie as it was, Nick still held on to that belief. "I could please you way more than any other dude can. I'm the best."

Nick huffed and puffed while she responded, rubbing his chin as he let out a sigh. "Eh, college won't be a worry. I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I'm a slacker anyways, even my professors." With that, he was certain that would wave off any concerns with that. "I even ditch some of the guys too, so they know if they can't reach me, I'm probably too busy to talk." Nick adjusted the yukata a bit on him, exposing a bit more chest since he liked showing off for Tama. Secretly, he always had. And, it was weird. Most guys would just love showing off period, to any woman. If it was in a crowd, Nick would be looking specifically for Tama's reaction. That's what excited him the most. Ah, he was daydreaming again about the past. He should spend more time in the present, especially since they were together now.

Well, since she was ready any time, that meant he was the main one that they were waiting on to find a time to go. He put his mind to it, thinking of the reservation process first. "So, makes sense, we have to put in a reservation first. You said that, right?" He continued on nonetheless. "I guess we'll do that then soon. I think the best time would be... hm, we've got a four day weekend coming up. We can practically make it a whole week, I'll just say I'm sick or something that Monday." Nick suggested, looking at her to see if she approved. Besides, it wasn't like he actually tried hard in that class. He knew the material enough to get by with average grades. "Oh, uh, how much cash would we need? I could definitely help pay some of it. Or, all of it, depending on how much it is, y'know."

"Oh, don't worry about payment," Tama waved her hand in the air in a politely dismissive manner, "Money isn't something that monster girls typically carry around with them. In fact, many of them don't have even a single cent to their name. The reservations are dealt out on a first-come, first-serve basis, with some consideration taken concerning the 'importance' of the individual. Power and prestige is important, as is proof that we are actually married." She gestured toward her fluffy tails that brushed up and down his legs affectionately, "These beauties are more than enough proof of that... Plus, they should be able to pick up on the hormones in my body due to the pregnancy." For once, she seemed a bit embarrassed about it, her cheeks slightly reddening and her hips sliding back and forth as her legs rubbed together. It was the first time she had ever actually discussed the issue openly rather than making vague hints.

"It... Its a date, then," Tama reached up and ran her fingers through her long hair before stepping up to his side, gently grabbing the fabric of his yukata in her fingers, and laying her head down against his chest, "We will go once your break comes around... I'll make all the arrangements." Little hearts were practically floating about in the air as she rubbed her cheek against him. "Let's head back home, ok?"

Slipping back, she intertwined her fingers with his and began leading him through the forest toward her cottage... The cold air feeling a bit warmer as their future together burned just a little bit more brightly than before.

(time skip?)

OOC: Absolutely! I'll hit us off!

Tama had a point. Nick honestly forgot that monster girls were segregated and prejudiced against, which only made him seem to frown as he brought the reminder back into his head. "Ah, right..." He said somewhat in a depressed manner. "Makes you kinda wonder how they keep that place up and running, hm? Although, now that I think of it, I don't think the town would let monster girls own anything more than a place to live, and even then, that's still up for debate." Nick never once heard of a monster girl owning like a restaurant or shop like that in human towns. Or, at least, not any locally. There had to be something like that somewhere. Anyways, he was starting to get ahead of himself with his random thoughts, coming back to how they would come about to ensuring their stay at the resort.

"Oh ho? Don't you sound all cocky!" Nick playfully messed with her hair, once again using his height to his advantage. The lovely sensation of her furry tails made him shudder ever so slightly with pleasure, reaching out to caress one of the three. It was then that she mentioned her hormones and pregnancy, and he too caught on to the fact that this was the first time she openly said anything about it. The thought made him smile as he leaned over to caress her abdomen gently. "Well then, keep those hormones all for me. I'll let you take care of the monster girls, but I'll knock out any guy that tries to steal my girl." Nick proclaimed, fist pumping as he slung an arm around his foxy wife, keeping her close to him as if suddenly a man were to jump out of a tree and steal her away.

Tama broke him out of his stupor, the human man smiling at her as she cutely rested against him as they walked. "Ah, this blows. The break feels so far away now. It's like it's teasing me..." He muttered aimlessly while they walked back home. He held her hand tightly, feeling his heart thump in his chest with the ever burning love and passion for the kitsune that he would spend the rest of his life with. Nick was really looking forward to going out with Tama. Just like she said, it was a date. A date where they didn't have to sneak around, pretend like they were still friends, or anything like that. They could be themselves. Two lovers enjoying time together without worry or fear of people judging them.

Her human only smiled brighter at the thought...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, the day had come, the resort staff having also sent a friendly reminder that their stay was scheduled to start today! However, it probably could've start off on better footing. Or, rather...
When Tama answered the knocking to her door, her good ol' friend Mika was right behind it, laughing once again hysterically as she didn't even mutter a single word to the younger kitsune. The moment she was able to at least get gasping breaths to try and speak, she broke out again in laughter and simply stepped to the side, revealing once again that Nick had somehow found himself walking into the river once more. Only this time, he actually was paying attention. How he ended up that way? Mika didn't know, but she enjoyed every second of him clutching on to the branch of a knocked down tree while crying out for help.
"Oh! Ouch! My sides! Hahahahaha!" Mika kept laughing, tears dripping from beside her eyes as she clutched the side the door for a moment, bent over in painful joy. "Oh, oh gosh. Tamamo! Ahahaha, I think he's hopeless with finding his way up here!" And for the second time she's made an appearance in this role play adventure, she walked off with a little wave, leaving the freezing Nick to sneeze at how cold he was feeling.
Now alone, he simply chuckled nervously with a stupid grin on his face. "M-Mind if I c-change into that y-y-yukata?"
Tama's eyes scanned her husband slowly, starting at the dripping hems of his clothing all the way to the sopping wet mop of hair atop his head while his arms rubbed up and down his sides in a fruitless attempt to muster some amount of warmth. Her warm, soft, and quite dry tails gently swayed behind her as she reached out and took his hand in both of hers, leading him inside without further ado in order to strip him out of his soaked clothing and dab the moisture from his skin.
"What am I going to do with you?" the kitsune sighed, although she could hardly resist the urge to smirk at Nick's misfortune, "are you going to drop into the river every time you come to visit? I mean, its not like it goes out of its way to stand between us or anything." She briefly stepped into the kitchen to fetch a towel with which to dry his hair and his yukata to don before they left on their trip into the mountains. She had spent the greater part of the last few days making sure she brought everything they would need, including sweets to pop into their mouths while walking along the long forest trails. Sitting him down on the bed after dressing him, she slid her thin arm around his back and laid her head down against his side, her tails reaching around him like an all-encompassing embrace
"I missed you, Love," she whispered softly before turning to look back up at him, those glistening, mischievous eyes of hers gazing at his with devoted intensity, "We can leave whenever you are ready... They will be expecting us this afternoon. I made sure to get a nice little room overlooking the sunset, but I'm sure we can both think of other ways to enjoy the late hours other than watching the horizon."
Her hands clutched the fabric of his yukata as she pulled herself upward and kissed him square upon the lips, eyelids slowly shutting as her tongue brushed across his. Already she had grown accustomed to this, the subtle cues their bodies exchanged during the tender embrace would not go unnoticed by either. Pulling back briefly, her slightly flushed cheeks and subtle smile reassured him.
One would think that he would see the river, but sadly he was quite the unlucky fellow. Dripping a trail of water into her home, smiling apologetically. "Sorry, Tama. But, in my defense, I was just... overexcited about going to the resort with you." He stared at her playfully as he shook his head, seeing her come back with a towel. At least the soaked clothes were taken care of for now. "Well, I... ugh. I don't know." Nick gave up and laughed at his own misfortune, soon feeling the cold blanket of the water leave him, replaced by the warmth of the yukata. The young man smiled as she joined him on her bed, wrapping his arms around her, the fluffy feeling of her tails making things even more enjoyable. Just being with her period, it took away the cold sting of the river's water. If only he could be here all day, or even vice versa. Nick would love if Tama could live with him. It would be like a dream come true... maybe, one day. Nothing was truly impossible if they strived for it. If it as Tama, he would work hard for it. No matter how hard it was.
The smile widened on his lips, gently kissing her forehead. "I missed you too. So much." He saw that hint of mischief on her eyes, but no matter how they looked, he would always see that loving gaze of hers, and he sincerely hoped she would forever see his own. Nick caressed her cheek with one hand, the other holding her tighter against him, the warmth in her cheek felt in his heart as well. "Well, well. It sounds like you were planning for something else." Nick managed to get her on his lap this time, playfully grinning at the gorgeous kitsune that he loved dearly. "Although, let me guess. Does it involve rolling around in some sheets and enjoying each other's touch?" He teased as he caressed her sides.
Hands tightening on his yukata, Nick met her halfway and fulfilled their kiss. Her tongue was happily granted access as he lovingly caressed her own tongue. He pulled her as close as they could, bodies molded together in a wonderful union as he enjoyed the feeling of their bodies touching. It made his heart thump faster, as if they were meeting again for the first time. When they pulled apart, Nick looked into her eyes and for a moment, got lost. "God, I missed you..." His tone was soft, almost like he was making sure these words were only heard by her. For they were meant for her. "We could leave now. Unless you'd like me to show you how much I missed you." Nick said, leaning into to kiss all along the front of her neck and throat, showering her with affection as he felt his desire flare.
His lips touched her skin, urging soft murmured protests to struggle out from her throat as she tried hard to maintain a firm grip on her own libido. Her own tails betrayed her, as they rubbed him up and down across his back and sides, warming and caressing him in an accepting manner. Struggling against her own urges, it was Tamamo's time to act.
"Oi, let's not get ahead of ourselves," Tama gently placed her hands onto his shoulders and pushed him back before things progressed too quickly, "If we start that up before we even get to the hot springs, we might never get there at all." She reluctantly eased back from him. Slipping off of his lap and taking his hand before reaching down, she picked up the small bundle that she had prepared for the trip. She could feel her entire body trembling, tingling from the sensation of being pressed up against his, but she knew herself too well to trust that they would stop at just one round. She might not have been in heat any longer, but she certainly still possessed a "healthy" sex drive.
Standing up, she slipped on her geta before stepping back toward the door to lead him in the correct direction, only briefly pausing to look over everything one last time. They would only be gone for a few days, but since this was the first time she had ever left her cottage for any number of days at all it bore a special significance. She slipped her arm around Nick's and gave him a single nod, indicating that she was ready to leave. Their footsteps gently pressed into the cold mountain soil, backs turned toward her door which closed and sealed itself not long after they had gone out of sight.
"Hey, Nick... I imagine that both you and the little one will keep me busy, but I've never really thought much about how to care for a family, you know?" she rested her head against his side, her ears twitching slightly in the cool breeze, "That's part of the reason why I wanted to go on this trip... Perhaps we will run into some monster girls who have children of their own. Keep a lookout for some, alright?" She smiled up at her husband, and while her tone was genuine it hid her deeper fears that she had long since buried. Would she know how to be a good mother?
For a moment, it seemed they were both weakened under the urge and pull of engaging in the flesh of one another. He let his tongue lightly flick against the soft expanse of her neck, his lips planting kisses here and there and never once relenting in their onslaught of affection and showering her with desire and love. He lost himself in just simply kissing her. Cheeks, lips, neck, shoulder, anything. And her tails only egged him on while his hands lightly grasped the fabric of her yukata. Slowly, his fingers began to work on that sash that barred his path to-
Aw, it seemed their playtime was over. Nick chuckled at her words, though knew she was right. "I can't help it. You don't need to use your kitsune magic to make me think about you all day and night, lover." He said lovingly, briefly pulling her against him one more time in a romantic hug. He squeezed lightly, smiling warmly before letting her go so they could separate their bodies. After all, they had a journey to a wonderful vacation to make. "Mmn, maybe I'll just save it all up for you later. Although, I'm just going to cherish every little thing we do. Because, for once, we're doing it together without worrying about everyone in town." It was true. They finally could enjoy one another's company within public eye. Well, as public as it could be. But it was the idea! Where there were other people, they could enjoy themselves! That was perfect! It was everything he had been dreaming of to now. And it was coming true.
They were off and out of Tama's house, Nick having his own pair of geta to throw on as he walked alongside the woman he was mated to be with. After he offered her the crook of his arm, she took it and they were off, enjoying the mountain air and heading towards the spring. Granted, Nick wasn't sure where to go, so every now and then, he asked if he was leading them the right way.
"Hm? What's up?" The young man answered when she called to him, the fox girl mentioning about their family to be. There would be couples, yes, and probably ones that already started their family. It dawned on him that he needed to fulfill his role as a father too. "Absolutely. I should probably learn some too. I can't let you do all the work." Nick said to her softly, smiling back as he wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.
Although it made it somewhat difficult for her to walk, she allowed him to do as he wished as her thoughts had drifted elsewhere. She had never met her own father, and given that her mother had never directly mentioned him it seemed unlikely that she ever would. Tama understood Nick's eagerness in fulfilling his duty as a father, yet it unsettled her that she knew practically nothing about such methods as her mother had taken full charge of raising her until their untimely separation. For Tama, simply knowing that Nick would support and encourage her was sufficient to drive away most of the worries, but the practical concerns yet remained. How long could they continue in secret?
The rocky mountainside path gradually widened into a wider expanse, forming a forested pocket between the distant mountain peaks far above them. Already the air had become saturated by the collection of various auras belonging to spirits and monster girls alike. Peaking out at the rim of this small valley, the young couple overlooked the village-like cluster of rooftops hidden among the pine trees. The simple path on which they walked gave way to neatly arranged cobblestone which drew them toward the central hub, namely the hot springs resort itself. Tama gave Nick a gently tug, quickening their pace slightly in order to get a closer look at what lay before them. Clay tile roofs and thick wooden frames, all arranged in a traditional style, beckoned to her.
The streets were rather densely packed with monster girls of all types. The occasional gnome, rarely encountered near human cities, and her contractor would skirt the crowds and talk back and forth in hushed tones. A few slime girls made their way amid the crowd, exchanging formalities in a variety of vocal forms and broken English on occasion. There were some harpies as well, likely local girls, perched upon the rooftops and chatting with the visitors. Then, of course, there were the kitsune. Although many were taller and demanded a greater measure of respect from those around them, they still made it a point to call out to those they knew from the throng. Tama felt both taken aback as well as encouraged by such a natural meshing of so many monster girls. Still, it was somewhat unsettling how few men were among the crowds, and none accompanying the kitsune. Almost as soon as Tama observed this, however, it slipped her mind as she felt a rather insistent tapping upon her shoulder. She turned to her left to discover one of the harpies had descended from the rooftops to talk at the proper eye level.
"Yo," the young harpy beamed with an almost overwhelming charisma, "Are you two here to visit the hot springs, too? Its rare to see new faces around here. Where are you from? Will you be staying long? Oh, I'm Vivian, by the way, but everyone just calls me Viv... Nice catch you got there." She gestured toward Nick with a wave of her left wing. "You've already sealed the deal, right? Congratulations to both of you! I hope you have a pleasant time here. There was this one couple who liked it here so much they decided to build their love nest right here in the mountain valley. Guess what? They were my grandparents, and they are still happily living on the east side of town."
It was difficult, if not impossible, to slide a word in edgewise as Viv continued to gush over her home as if it were her own personal pride and joy. Tama finally began to glance up at Nick in a pleading manner, asking for his assistance in this matter.
