Touch: The Fluffy Tail (Tek&Wing)

"You... You're such a masochist, you know that?" Tama returned with gentle teasing, her words spoken with more than just a hint of playfulness indicating that she did not intend him to take her criticism seriously. As her husband continued to penetrate her with building pace and intensity, her fingertips pressed into his back a bit more firmly, clinging tightly to her lover and the source of the pleasure which flowed through her smaller frame. Compared to how quickly he had climaxed the day before, Tama was rather impressed at how well he was gauging himself, setting a pace that was both satisfying yet not too aggressive so as to quickly bring their session to a close.

"Kitsune tails grant raw power proportional to their number... I want enough of them so that I can protect you as well as our children. Plus, it has a nice added benefit of standing for the proof of our love for each other," Tama nibbled on his ear lobe, careful not to damage his sensitive ear before turning her attention back to his shoulder. She decided against replying to the rather embarrassing comment he had made concerning how good she felt, as his latest request was a much more pressing matter.

"I... I know you want to spend lots of time with me, Love, but, we really need to be careful... If you spend too much time with me in the mountains, they will figure it out," she paused briefly to restrain the urge to moan, "I want to be with you too, Nick... But I don't want you to be hated because of our love. Please, if you insist upon seeing me again tonight for dinner and to spend the night here, you must think of a reasonable excuse for doing so if you are questioned."

A masochist? Maybe. The idea of Tama scratching him up a little or biting and nibbling along his shoulder or neck was nice. Hell, it was downright sexy in his mind, and it made him twitch in further excitement. Combined with Tama's nails digging in more and velvet entrance caressing and squeezing him so tightly, he wasn't sure if he could continue his pace for much longer. That familiar quivering of his member as enough of a reminder to both of them that Nick was drawing closer and closer to the blissful ending. He groaned softly, a hand caressing her rear end that soon turned into a needy grope as he began pulling her harder into his thrusts. The water of the river splashed louder around them as they continued their act together.

Nick felt like he should be the tough man protecting his family. However, seeing as he was only human and she was monster girl, Nick quickly surrendered to her words. She probably would've been able to do more than he ever could. One thought did cross his mind. He could stand proud in the fact that Tama was his eternal lover, and while he might not live as long as her, he wanted her to know that every day they spent together would be more special than the last. That he promised with all his heart. "I wish I had a tail then. I could help protect you as well." He gasped out, feeling her teeth play with the earlobe. God, she was good.

Easier said than done. Finally together, after holding it in for so long, the young college man couldn't bare the thought of not being around Tama. Call it just be a fool in love, but that's how he truly felt. It was probably the main reason why he was holding out for so long. Once they were finished, Nick knew he'd have to return back to the town soon. Luckily it was the weekend, so no school. Unluckily, he probably knew that Yuki was trying to contact him last night. And in a rush, Nick had left his phone at home. But, to put her mind at rest, he had an idea. "My... house." His voice was urgent, suppressing further groans as he was practically a blur of motion underneath the water. "C-Come to my house...!" Would he make dinner? What time? Oh, was this really the time to talk about this?!

Nick shuddered against her, another familiar twitch and that oh so wonderful feeling making his member feel like it was about to burst. "T-Tama, I can't hold it back anymore! I'm going to cum!" He declared, clutching her tightly as he came around to the home stretch.

"Be careful what you wish for, Nick," Tama smiled, acknowledging the role that his male pride as well as his undying love that played in his declaration. A human that could stand on equal footing as a monster girl, and a kitsune at that, was quite a ambitious desire. The knowledge that Nick wished to protect her gave rise to an even more warm and tender sensation bubbling up inside of her. Yet, combined with his more insistent and needy grasps, gasps, and thrusts into her body she could tell that their loving mating session was drawing to an undisputed yet unavoidable conclusion. When it came, they would have to part ways, for the time being at least, which would give her ample time to think over what the future would hold for the two of them... Perhaps she might even have some time to make some clothes as she had promised her new husband.

"C-come to your house?!" Tama's train of thought was completely derailed and thrown into a nearby ravine upon realizing what he had just suggested, "I... I can't do that, Nick. If someone sees me there, at your house, and notices that I have three tails they will know. After my public confession of my feelings there won't be any doubt in their minds as to who my husband is. I love you, Nick, more than anything, but because of that we need to be careful-"

Presently, however, her husband was starting to twitch and pulse within her as announced his inability to hold back the floodgates of his own climax. As if in perfect sync, she could feel her own peak of pleasure just pass over the edge, her soft, warm inner channel clenching tightly around him as her toes curled and her body shivered, contractions along his length seeking to draw out his thick, potent seed as she held him firmly to herself, her grip holding him deep inside and preventing him from pulling away even if he wished to.

Her warning made him chuckle. Of course it wasn't serious, though it was humorous still. One thing he knew was that as much as she would be the physical prowess against another monster girl and such, Nick could be her defender against other humans and maybe even some monster girls at times. Hey! He wasn't completely useless after all! That own realization by itself gave him the determination to truly take care of Tama (and in the future, their children) for as long as he lived. Not to mention it gave him a bit more willpower to hold off his impending orgasm. But, boy oh boy, it was knocking on the door before. Now, it was more like ramming against his defenses. He quickly kissed and nipped her neck gently to distract his mind. It did little to help...

"Y-Yeah..." Nick groaned over the splashing, their bodies pressed closed against one another. Although, it seemed she was a bit more mindful of the situation than he was. True, true. That wouldn't be an issue if not for her public confession. Still, he still burned to see her. Okay, maybe he'd go to the drawing board to figure out a plan. For now, there was a more pressing matter...

Nick was kicking it into overdrive, bouncing Tama along his length as he kept demanding entrance to her already full womb. It seemed, however, that wouldn't be happening anytime soon. Almost as if to apologize, Tama came for him and her entrance hold on to him tightly and kept him locked inside. That was it, that was the final blow for the young human man pistoning into the kitsune as he moaned out loudly. Nick called out her name, pulling her tightly as a final thrust into her core sent drop upon drop of hot semen into her tunnel. It washed inside her, bathing her insides in white as miraculously, this morning's load was large, no doubt from pacing himself and avoiding the edge many times before. "Oh Tama..." He groaned as he slowly came down from his high, sadly thinking that soon he would have to leave.

But... he would see her again. That he promised.

Tama let out a long, relieved sigh upon feeling him release himself inside of her, the familiar sensation of warmth spreading outward from her core causing her to relax and bathe in the pleasent afterglow of her orgasm, her tails wagging behind her as she offered whispered words of encouragement, "N-nick... Don't worry, it will work out for us. Even if things go sour and we are forced to leave, we will still be together. No human on the face of this planet has the power to keep me from you." The kitsune pulled herself up slightly and kissed him square on the lips, her tongue eagerly entering his mouth and sliding across his as she attempted to ease herself off of his member. They were getting short on time, but she still wished to cuddle a bit instead of simply having sex then sending him away as if that were all she was interested out of their relationship. With arms wrapped around each other, warm bodies pressed tightly, and lips locked to perfect the intimate embrace, Tama couldn't think of any other place she would want to be other than where she was then.

Reluctantly, she backed away from him and slipped out of his arms, swimming over to the bank after washing herself clean of their combined sexual fluids which had coated her inner thighs. She stepped up onto the bank and gestured for him to follow her, making no effort whatsoever to conceal her naked form from his view. Like many monster girls, she was proud of her body and didn't mind showing it off, especially to their husbands.

"Nick... Uhm, don't forget to pick up some tofu and eggs from town for me next time we see each other. I'll prepare a delicious supper for you," she bent over and plucked her yukata from the branch she had draped it over before making her way toward her house, her soft footsteps sounding more lonely and sorrowful than before. She stopped to slip the yukata back over her shoulders and wrap her obi around her waist, concealing herself behind the beautiful fabric as before, "I'll see you then, ok?"

----------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Yuki sat on the steps leading up toward Nick's house, a frustrated and confused expression on her face as she awaited her boyfriend's arrival, unaware of the events which followed Tama's public confession. The sun had risen steadily into the sky by then, and she had even foregone breakfast in order to arrive at his home early enough to ensure that she was the first person to meet him when he left home. Why had he been ignoring her texts and insistent calls? Perhaps his phone had conveniently broken the afternoon before... Or, worse, that vicious kitsune had taken and forcibly had her way with her boyfriend. Although prepared for the worst, she strongly believed that he would have the self-restraint necessary to prevent such a revolting action from occurring. They were practically animals, after all, and Nick had fairly normal interests.

She was supposed to be his childhood friend, right? It was a moot point now, anyway, since she had shown her true colors. They were all the same, addicted to sex and destructive to human society. Although large-scale attacks were a thing of the past, they still clung to outer-rim human settlements like parasites, playing the victim as if humans were the sole aggressor in the conflict between monster and human kind.

"Come to think of it, Tama never really warmed up to me, did she? She's probably been biding her time, waiting for her moment to strike for a while now. The truth has been revealed now, as well as her true colors. She'd better never show her face around here again," Yuki tapped her fingers against her chin as she continued to wait, "Why do we even allow them inside the city at all? Its not like its a big secret what their intentions are."

Despite his large load, it ended rather quickly. But, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Nick soon relished in both of them sharing a loving embrace, wading through the water as they enjoyed the afterglow of their moment together. He felt his breath start to even out, sighing deeply while their lips met. Her eager tongue was met with equal intensity, Nick running his hands up and down her body as he held her close, feeling her leaving his softening members as their combined fluids (unfortunately now out of her hungry womb) began to leak out into the river water. "I'll follow you wherever you go, Tama." He whispered to her as he let their foreheads rest against one another. A warm smile crossed his lips, the young man squeezing her side affectionately as he brought them over in the river where they could stand on the river floor. "I promise you that. No matter where it is. No matter who's in my way."

It made him frown when they separated, his arms feeling empty and cold now that the kitsune was no longer in his grasp. But, the logical reasoning that Nick had to carry out his day rang in his head. It was important, and definitely needed, lest people start to suspect their relationship and maybe even pursue them. That was the last thing he needed for either of them. And to put her in danger like that? Nick wouldn't be able to forgive himself if it happened. So, he sighed in acceptance, watching Tama climb out. He really wasn't sure if he could resist such a perfect view like that, but combining today and last night, the young man began to feel an aching in his legs and back. Oh boy, this was going to be a fun day, trying to look like he was as normal like any other day.

"Tofu and eggs. You betcha." He told her with the best smile he could muster. Although, just like her own lonely steps, it did very little to convince either of them to try and be happy. He sighed sadly, lifting his hand weakly to wave. "I'll... see ya."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking into town with his hands in his pockets, he realized that was probably the most depressing thing to experience so far. He had a constant frown on his face, and thankful that no one saw him leave the woods, Nick was gloomy compared to so many other times. The young college student let out a long sigh again, for the umpteenth time, walking down the sidewalk of his neighborhood. When was he going to see her again? It would really be nice to see Tama right now. He had to will himself not to spin on his heels and head back to the forest. Just bide your time, Nick. Everything will be worth it the next time you do see her.
Rounding the corner, Nick froze immediately and dived into the nearest bush, parting branches to see Yuki on his doorstep. Crap! He was expecting his phone to be constantly buzzing from missed calls and 1000 text messages. But this?! Nick had to come up with something to get back into his home. The front door, obviously, was not an option. He could hop the fence and get in through the back. Ah, but the back door made such a loud noise. He'd need to put some oil on the hinges. Note to self: Tofu, eggs, WD-40. Mhm.
Nick's eyes then found the window of the guest bathroom on the side of the house, cracked open. He could probably push that up and sneak in there! The plan from there is to quietly get into his bedroom, quickly change into some sleepwear, and then feign sleep. The next time she rang his phone, he'd act like he just woke up and then answer the door. Perfect! Er, or so he hoped. Nick shook off the worry and with a determined glint in his eyes, hopped out of the bush and set forth for that window. Grasping the edge, he yanked it hard upwards, holding back a grunt of back pain (Oh jeez, Nick better plan for this in the future with that lovable fox girl). After several attempts however, it finally rose up and Nick stumbled in, falling on the floor with an soft thud as he quickly scrambled to his feet. The next thing he knew, he was knocking stuff over on his way to his bedroom. So much for stealth and silence.
Yuki would have to be deaf not to hear it, practically equivalent to the volume of construction work going on in there. Wait, was that a giraffe and a monkey sound? The hell?!
Yuki bolted up, the loud noise from inside the house startling her. She turned and ran up to the door, rapping on the wood of the door loudly, "Nick! Nick, I know you are in there! Open up and talk to me, darn it! I've been so worried about you and you won't answer your phone. Did your phone break or something? Please talk to me... I'm your girlfriend and I have a right to be concerned when you shut me out like this. Its not like you. Look, I'm not upset. Its not your fault that she had those sort of desires for you. That's what they are, after all, and you didn't do anything wrong. I know you enjoyed being around her as a friend, so its going to be hard but that's why I'm here, to help you out at times like this."
She rested her head against the door gently, eyes closed as she pondered what to do or say to make this any easier on him, "Please let me in... I want to talk to you face-to-face, Nick. You don't need to hide from me, I'm not a monster."
That one last phrase, however, most certainly sealed her fate more-so than anything else she had ever done in their entire relationship. She wasn't a monster, a monster girl that is, who should be feared and hated above all others. She was a human, a proper match for Nick, rather than some would-be girl whose only thoughts day and night were now to snare unwary humans and lure them in with promises of pleasure. No, Yuki felt confident that she was superior to those whoreish beings in every way possible, and it came across clearly in her speech.
Oh crap! Hearing Yuki starting to rap her knuckles constantly at the door, Nick knew he had to get his ass in gear and really play the part. Throwing himself into the room, he immediately found a pair of dorm pants that looked good. Red plaid with navy blue mixed in. He then quickly sifted through a pile of clothes he had built up due to an infectious disease known as procrastination, taking a hold of him for days on end. Anyhow, he didn't truly find something that would really look like he'd sleep in, most of it actually button up shirts and tee-shirts that looked more like when he went to class. Unfortunately, he'd have to model off his body again. For Tama, he'd do it all day long just to see that cute face of hers blush up. For Yuki? Er, if he really had to. And he had to. So, the game plan set, he ruffled up his hair a bit, wore the perfect "I just woke up" face, and rushed to the door. He sighed and prepared himself, hand on the knob until Yuki shouted through the door.
I'm not a monster.
Those four little words made him stop in his tracks, hand squeezing the metal knob painfully as Nick let the words sink in. He never let anyone get away with that. No one called Tama a monster, no one. Even if he was head over heels for Yuki, Nick wouldn't stand by for such an insult to the person that was his best friend since day one. And worse now, his mate for life. It took every ounce of willpower (and then some) in his body to not fling that door open and seize Yuki by the throat, hissing at her with venom. If it were not for the fact that Tama's own safety relied on how he reacted to Yuki's insult, the young man who was almost 99% of the time calm would have gone from zero to ballistic in a heartbeat. So he took a deep breath and sighed out softly. 'For Tama. She needs to be safe. Play the part. No matter how fucking lame it is.' Nick thought, grinding down on his teeth briefly before the door swung open. Perhaps a little too strong.
Yuki would see a tired expression now, his eyes barely open as he let out a fake yawn, stretching before her. "What, what?" He mumbled with a sleepy voice, rubbing his eyes. "I just woke up and everything. What's got you so flustered?" He asked, nearly gagging to have to put on this charade in front of her. Ugh, and he would have to act all cute with her, didn't he? Nick guessed so...
Yuki jumped back at the sound of the door sliding open, somehow managing to catch herself from falling forward into Nick as she had been leaning against the door until just a moment ago. She reached up and brushed a lock of her hair behind her ear nervously, unsure what to say when he was looking so cute with his early-morning face and haggard expression.
"Oh, so that sound was you falling out of bed? I could hear it all the way out here," Yuki let out a sigh of relief and an ironically lighthearted laugh, "Do you mind if I come inside for a bit? I've been waiting out here for a few hours now... But I guess I was just paranoid. I should have known better, you know? But I'm glad you are alright, Nick."
((OOC: Short reply, I know >_<" I just couldn't think of much for her to do while standing outside the house like an idiot.))
Nick only raised an eyebrow as she seemed to stumble forward. He crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame, nodding his head at her assumption. Was it? Or wasn't it? Heh. "Uh, yeah. You just sorta startled me when you started knocking on the door." He was about to procure another query upon her when she asked to come inside. He debated on it... until she mentioned she had been standing out there for a few hours. "Hours?! When the hell did you get here?!" Nick asked in disbelief, blinking several times as if he really was tired, that would definitely wake him up. Ugh. He'd feel like an absolute dick if he didn't let her in after that little revelation. Still, he juggled the thought in his mind before finally relenting with a sigh. He slid out of the door way and offered a small (fake) smile. "Come on in."
Shutting the door and flipping on some lights, the host quickly went to the kitchen and looked over to Yuki, hazel eyes looking inquisitive to her. As much as he wanted her to be out, he was still respectful. So, he offered. "Want anything to eat? Coffee? Milk? I'm not really hungry right now, but I'll make you something if you want." Nick told her, shrugging lightly as he began looking through the fridge and cupboards. There had to be something good for her to munch on in here.
Well, whether she took it up or not, he soon sat down at the table with her and relaxed in it. Whoa, who knew a wooden chair like that would feel so good on his lower back. Thankfully the smell of sex had been washed off in the river afterwards. "So, why were you out there for so long? I mean, it's a Saturday. You know how I like to sleep in on a Saturday. Especially after a long Friday like that." He mentioned, scratching the side of his head as he knew she probably would react strongly against that. Now, he just had to figure out how to reply. And so the game began.
"I've been out here since seven," Yuki replied, rolling her eyes in a self-deprecating manner, "Its pathetic, I know, but I couldn't help worrying when you didn't answer a single one of my texts. You are usually rather religious about answering your texts within an hour or so, so I assumed the worst I guess." She stepped inside and took a seat opposite him at the kitchen table, and although she seemed civil enough in the morning despite the fact that she had apparently just woken him from his precious morning nap time, she could sense that something was a little off about his behavior. For the time being, she simply filed it away in the back of her mind and continued the discussion.
"Some coffee would be nice," Yuki shrugged, figuring that it would be better if they were both wide awake instead of fighting off drowsiness throughout the discussion, "You really don't have to go through the trouble of fixing up a snack for me, though." She glanced around the room, unaware of what he had been up to the day before as well as early that morning. Her eyebrows knit together slightly, however, instantly picking up on the hint he let drop.
"What do you mean by, a long Friday like that?" she repeated, lifting her mug of coffee to her lips and taking a sip, "Wasn't it a pretty ordinary Friday afternoon, other than the fact that your childhood friend showed her true colors? I know I would have trouble sleeping after something like that, but even so... You didn't do anything reckless, did you?"
OOC: Oh sorry, I meant to say no worries in my previous post. >.<
Jeez, seven? This girl was really nuts. How'd they end up together again? "I mean, drastic, yeah. You could've gone back home and I'd text you back... eventually." He said with a little chuckle, still wrapping his head around the fact that she literally sat down on his doorstep for several hours until he opened the door. He couldn't imagine if this was in the dead of a winter blizzard. Would she have an igloo set up outside for him? "Seriously though, you really shouldn't have done that. I'm fine, I just like to sleep in." There was something in her gaze. For a second, he felt nervous. However, even if she suspected something, she didn't seem to act on it quite yet. Trying to relax, he knew if he did freak out, that would not make things easier on him. Best to relax and play the game.
"Coming up." The young man walked over to the coffee pot, fishing out a filter and mug from the cabinet above. He then went to grab the actual coffee, a darker roast for Yuki. She probably liked that strength, right? Er, he hoped. It seemed odd that he wouldn't know something a simple as that. He let the coffee brew for the time being, knowing it wouldn't take very long as he replied back to her. "I thought I would offer to my girlfriend. Especially with you sitting out there for hours." That's right, take the bait, Yuki. Nick was doing all the tricks he could muster up to play the part of her loyal boyfriend. Even to the point that he poured her cup, set everything up, and mixed it all in. He set her mug in front of her before taking his seat again.
At first, Nick inwardly thought he was caught. But immediately after, he reminded himself to remain calm. Yuki might be trying to psych him out if she suspected something. Best way to cast those doubts away for her would be to remain calm and nonchalant. "We knew each other for years, Yuki. It's gonna be a pretty big thing." He mentioned, letting out a deep sigh as he crossed his arms and titled his head down in thought. "I didn't do anything reckless. Trust me, it would be awkward as Hell after that. In fact, I haven't even heard from her since yesterday afternoon." Nick lied, looking back up to his girlfriend. He tried to avoid saying anything mean about Tama, because he wasn't sure he could even fake that. She's his wife now. Even if it were a lie...
Perhaps he should probably point this back at her. He wasn't sure if it was a good strategy, but it might work in his favor if he played the cards right. "What do you mean by reckless? I like to have fun, yeah. But, I won't go out and do anything bad. Miscreant, yes. Bad? No." Nick started, watching her carefully. Hm, he should probably look for this subtle cues too. Body language? Yeah, that's what it was. Maybe he could pick something up and use it to better counter attack. He could practically see the gauge between them measuring their headway into this matter, the scale even as they remained balanced. How long would that last, he wondered.
"I know you are rather fond of Tamamo, and I was just worried you might chase after her to the mountains in an effort to bring her back," Yuki replied with a shrug, "I think we both know that is impossible, because monster girls rarely give up on their target once they have set their sights on someone. I'm glad you haven't heard anything from her since then, which means she hasn't acted out anything yet, but all the same you should be extra careful, Nick. I'm not saying that you would do anything bad, but you are a kind and thoughtful person, and you tend to do things without considering how they could go wrong. Tama's dangerous, Nick, and however much you might wish to spend time with her you should realize that its impossible."
She reached out and cupped Nick's cheek in her hand, as if testing for his body's reaction to her caress, "I just don't want to loose you, Nick... Not to someone like that. I never really told you about it before because I was worried you might get upset with me for saying it, but I never really liked Tamamo. She would always cast strange looks in my direction, as if my presence were unwanted. I should have realized it sooner and told you, and perhaps you wouldn't be in such a state of shock now that the truth has been revealed."
Yuki bent forward slightly, bringing her face close to his as her eyes gently shut and she attempted to press her lips to his. She had rarely shown such forwardness with him before, often showing much more subtle signs of affection rather than openly displaying them. For Nick, however, this would be the ultimate test. Could he afford to give his girlfriend the reassurance she sought, even if it meant betraying Tama in the process?
Fond was a bit of an understatement. Anyways, Nick simply sighed again and shook his head. "The mountains are full of monster girls. I won't lie, I was worried and all. But, c'mon, if I went up there, Tama would be the last of my worries." He said with a scoff, already feeling so guilty for having to lie like this and say Tama's name with such... such venom. Like he hated her when he loved her with all his heart. "Well," At least he could interject somehow. "Maybe she'll respect our friendship, Yuki. Think about it. Why didn't she just do something then and there? To me, I always thought monster girls just took what they wanted. Instead, I haven't heard a thing from her since then. Maybe she's backed off?" He could delve too deep into her defense, lest Yuki become further suspicious. And, he guessed he was thankful he was a thoughtful person, since it was his defense in this situation. Although, his hand twitched at her mentioning that Tama was dangerous. He never wanted to punch a woman so much in his life right now.
He froze when Yuki cupped his cheek, and he looked into her eyes. He was still relaxed, but if he continued to get his nerves up, she'd definitely start noticing. 'Calm down. Just calm down.' Nick kept repeating, listening to Yuki barely as he was more focused on making sure he wasn't found out. Yuki was popular at school, so if she knew, that would spell their doom. He didn't care if he was the laughing stock, but it would endanger Tama. He couldn't imagine seeing it all happen as Tama was thrown out of town. It made his heart sting and occupied his mind, unable to even register Yuki's confession. Even if he did, he knew. Tama was more open about it, even if she didn't say directly why. "Yeah." The young man said softly.
But now, this was highly unexpected. She presented her lips as if asking for a kiss. No, she was asking for a kiss. But, shit! Nick was in a really bad position for this. In the brief millisecond he had, he was running over all possible options. The first one of course, was not to kiss her; the worst of all. That would only confirm her suspicions. He knew Yuki. She was the smartest girl in the entire university. Not kissing her would seal Tama's doom, an angry mob probably ready to rush out into the forest and drive her out. On the other hand, he could make up an excuse. Gah, no. The context of everything would keep her suspicious, and there was always the possibility that she wouldn't buy it, especially since he didn't exhibit any fake coughing or sneezing. Nick should've tried to do something like that. Nothing was cooking, so he couldn't quickly excuse himself. So, that meant he had to kiss her. But seeing the context, he would have to really kiss her. Damn it, his lips were only meant for Tama. Nick didn't want anyone else besides the kitsune who stole his heart. And now he was faced with betraying her love in order to save her so much trouble from the town.
Nick was waiting too long. Another second and she would notice. 'I'm so sorry, Tama.' He groveled in his mind, having bit his bottom lip this entire time. Soon, Yuki would be granted the reassurance she was expecting no doubt, Nick pressing his warm lips against hers in a comforting, gentle kiss. He was begging his mind to think that this was somehow a nightmare, or that he was really kissing Tamamo. Yet nothing erased the cruel reality of it. He at least attempted to break it off rather quickly, smiling and nodding to her gently.
"S-So, what're you doing on your day off? Ugh, I feel like just crawling back into bed and going to sleep." Nick said to hopefully change the subject, thinking that maybe if she had an agenda today, she would probably leave him be. Yuki was typically busy, today was no different... right?
"I really can't claim to understand what goes on in a monster girl's head," Yuki shrugged in a dismissive manner, "Perhaps its just me, but I just I have a hard time believing that this will be the last we will hear from her. I really don't think that it was because she respects our relationship... Since when do monster girls stop and ask if their victims are married or dating? I honestly don't think they even care about that sort of thing." Yuki didn't seem particularly suspicious concerning his effort to defend Tama. She realized that he couldn't just cast her off just like that, as he was far too empathetic for his own good. She figured ff she pushed too hard, she might end up distancing herself from him unintentionally, unaware of how harmful her words had already been to their relationship.
The kiss was brief and pleasant, but also strangely hesitant although she simply attributed it to surprise for the time being. Yuki still appeared mildly offended at his obvious attempt at brushing her off, however, "Was the kiss really that bad that you would rather go to sleep? Alright, but plug in your damn phone and answer me next time something like that turns up. I scheduled a get-together with some of my friends for another study session in an hour, so I have to get going."
She whispered a quick thank-you for his hospitality before heading out toward the front door, although she couldn't shake the distinct sensation that her presence was unwanted. Something was definitely different about him, but she couldn't tell if it was merely a result of being betrayed by his best friend or if it was something more. She didn't want to accuse him of anything without concrete proof, but the nagging feeling that something important had been simply passed by remained in the back of her mind. In any case, she had given Nick some much-needed space for now... There was no guarantee how long this deception would last.
God, talking and reasoning with Yuki was a futile effort unless you agreed with everything spilling from her condescending mouth. He grasped his hair in mock irritation of the situation, when he was truthfully annoyed with her. And, it really was starting to become more than just for Tamamo's sake. Did every single monster girl have to be demonized like this? It's in their nature to mate and find a suitable male for that role, yes. However, Nick knew that they would just throw caution to the wind about another human couple's union. Tama must have gone through a lot, so very much, and coupled with her heat cycle, it finally broke her past the breaking point. Thinking on it now, he felt guilty now that he was with Yuki. Well, more so than not. Which only served to be a firm reminder that, hey, she was still here.
Nick really wanted to answer yes, the sheer curiosity of wondering what her response would be making him nearly spill the reply automatically. He only cleared his throat and shook his head swiftly, holding his hands up in defense. "Y-Yuki, you misunderstand. Seriously." He stuttered, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his head. If only she knew how right she was. But, for a moment, he had a clear train of thought and heard her mention a study group. Perhaps she was thinking she was polite by not dragging him along, especially after such a "traumatic encounter" yesterday, yet Yuki always seemed to drag him off. If he was deathly ill or had something contagious, Yuki was always bringing the group here or providing the notes to him. None of that. Bah, he was probably over thinking things. He waved of the thought and merely gave her a nod. "Sure, sure. My bad." The young man spoke softly, clasping his hands together almost in prayer, begging her forgiveness. "I'll plug it in as soon as you leave."
The air felt a bit thick around them as she left, and he knew that while he may have dodged the bullet, she saw her mark for a bit. Her suspicions weren't laid to rest, and that only meant she had another round in the chamber and would return. Hopefully not soon, but knowing Yuki, it could be any second of any day. Especially now after learning about Tama's confession. That only made him worry more so of his new kitsune wife. Crap, if only he could be with her 24/7 and protect her, at least from humans. At least something! Nick felt like right now he was just biding his time for the inevitable: Yuki would find out, along with the town, and Tama would be thrown out.
Nick slammed his fist on the table. "Damn it!" No use pummeling the table into oblivion. Perhaps he'd go out and grab those ingredients for Tama, knocking it off the list before more time meant he'd forget. Picking up his dead phone and eying it with low interest, he sighed and slid it into his pocket. It wouldn't take him long to get dressed. Just a pair of jeans, a tee, and a hoodie at most. He wasn't going out to impress anyone...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Isn't that the Monster Girl lover?"
"That fox girl confessed, and supposedly no one saw him last night."
"Ugh, I bet they were screwing. That's disgusting!"

The super market was tensely silent. Everyone was giving Nick a cold glare, feeling each pair of eyes going right through him. It was him against the world right now, and honestly? The world was totally kicking his ass. Why, one might ask? Nick felt like a complete outcast. He did, however, have the benefit of the doubt. The rumors went around that they blah blah blah'd, but they had no solid proof. And it helped (not for him, but for everyone else) that Tama wasn't here. It was a kind of subtle counter evidence against everyone, even if they were telling the truth. And Nick didn't regret his decision at all. Except when, for some reason, he had to pay a little extra for everything. Apparently there's a special tax against Monster Girls as well... and their lovers. Seriously? Lame.

OOC: I was thinking maybe a skip forward? Not hugely, maybe another Yuki incident? They attempt to go out on a date, and Nick still has to make it look legit? Otherwise, we could go with a further skip forward and Nick and Tama can investigate Yuki's sudden distancing like we mentioned. :3

OOC: Lets skip to the next time the new couple meets up and tries to get out for a date. Not in public, of course, and Yuki begins to hone in on the two of them. If she figures it out or not is dependent on how the date itself progresses.

Tamamo sat in the far corner of her room, her hands sliding across the smooth, soft cotton fabric laid across her lap, fingertips skillfully sliding her needle in and out as she worked the embroidery by hand. She held two needles in her mouth, for easy access to three different colors. Her attentive eyes stared passively out into space as her fingers worked autonomously, following the motions she had learned from countless hours of toil and training. She had already adjusted the size of her husband's yukata to match his shape and build perfectly. Tama had memorized every inch of his body, after all, so this hardly came as a surprise. Yet, even as she worked for his sake there remained a distinct lack of something... Nick himself.

It had not even been long since they had last parted ways. Just a few days at most, but even still the young kitsune craved her husband's embrace. No, it did not have to be a sexual embrace, but merely hearing his voice, smelling his scent, and feeling his arms around her was enough to drive away the nagging loneliness which now took up residence within her heart. "Darling, when will you come visit me again? I am... Trying to be strong, for both our sake, but its hard... Why is it so hard?" The gentle whistle of the wind through the cracks in the ceiling gave no answer to her pleas.

Setting down her work to give her hands some rest, she let her left hand rest upon her lower abdomen, right above where the tiny new life her husband had given her grew and matured within her. Her eyes softened, the hint of tears glistening in those wide eyes of hers as she considered the rude awakening their children would be exposed to upon entering that world. Humans hated their kind, even on the off chance that one of their children would be a human instead of a monster girl, they would still be despised from simply having been born to a monster girl mother. She knew that even then, their father (and her husband) would be experiencing just a hint of the unending discrimination and hatred that humans often bore for her kind. Nick was different. He could see past her long, fluffy tail and her laid back personality, her fondness of pranks and her pointed fox ears, perhaps even finding a way of loving each and every part of her in his own unique way. She might not have been human, but her husband loved her more than any human woman, and for that she was eternally thankful.

Turning back to her work, she once again slid her fingers across the soft fabric and slipped the needle through, back and forth in a seemingly endless rhythm as her attentive ears remained ever vigilant, listening for the sound of footsteps. Thankfully, few monster girls, especially kitsune, would wander past her territory even though the mountain pass pressed itself alongside the mountainside and right past her small cottage. Few travelers were brave or foolish enough to take a road directly through the heart of a mountain known to be infested with monster girls, which begged the question of why the path had been made in the first place. Perhaps, at one time there were human towns and cities deep within monster territory? Tamamo could not say for certain, but monster girls often lacked the discipline necessary to set designated routes of travel which made the path's construction undoubtedly of human origin, at least originally.

Perhaps it was in some way related to the kitsune village she had heard tell of from a wandering kitsune which had passed through not so many days ago. She had picked up on Tama's maternal scent and informed her of a distant mountain village centered around a giant hot spring resort, owned and run completely by kitsune. Supposedly, the owners were friendly toward visitors and encouraged them to bring their husbands along for a time of pleasant socialization, relaxation, and recuperation from the daily strain. It was certainly tempting, but her more possessive side flared up every time she considered it. There was no stipulation against single kitsune joining in, or perhaps attempting to lure away the husbands of married kitsune... Perhaps she was just being paranoid. She would ask Nick about it when he arrived.

Letting out a self-satisfied sigh, she held up the finished yukata with satisfaction, the dark blue contrasting nicely against the red and gold embroidery which formed the likeness of a mighty eastern dragon upon its sleeves. Upon its hem she had etched his name in black. The kitsune slid a pole through the sleeves and hung it up proudly, her tails wagging in an excited manner as she imagined how happy her husband would be when he saw his gift. Oh, the married life certainly had its perks despite the worry and loneliness which often accompanied it.

OOC: Sounds perfect, I like it. ^^

The days apart from his loving kitsune mate felt like an eternity, driving him up a wall as he attempted to find any kind of hobby or task that could occupy his mind and thoughts away from said fox. It was extremely difficult, and as of today, impossible. It was like scratching at a black board; painfully annoying. Mainly because he was away from her. Before they were together with one another, Nick would just feel like he was more impatient with waiting until they hung out again, happy once they were beside one another and plotting their next prank. Now, it felt even more painful. He felt like he was missing something. A huge piece within his own heart that Tama was holding on to. It wasn't too far from the truth. With his love, Nick also gave her his heart. When they were apart, his body would ache to be with her again. Yes, it may be the urge sometimes to be intimate with her. But 9 times out of 10, it was deeper. Nick just missed her. Anything would do, so long as she was there. It could be just the sight of her, her smell, her voice. Just bring him Tama, and life would be perfect again.

That's why, Nick was climbing up the mountain path after class, a bag of groceries in his hand. It was everything she had asked for from him. It was a bit difficult to get there stealthily, of course. And it really wasn't because of people labeling him as the "Monster Girl Lover". No, they weren't obstacles. Yuki was the main one, but even supposed friends were as well. God, they wanted to do a couple things with him, which was getting in the way. Nick wanted to see Tama! So, he had to use every trick and lie he had. Oh, Nick had to go stock his fridge with food. Oh, Nick had to repair an appliance at home. He wasn't feeling too well, he'd stay in. Everything and anything that popped in his head was his weapon against them. But, thankfully that was done. Now, he just needed to get to Tama's little home and be with her for the rest of the night. Hopefully. Just in case, Nick brought his phone. Charged, in case of Yuki. He had to keep up the charade, after all.

Walking along the path, he saw the curious eyes of other monster girls. Not just kitsune, but others as well. Kitsune apparently seemed to be heavy in this area, however. Compared to before though, they seemed to be keeping their distance, though watchful as always. Nick raised an eyebrow at that, but supposed it was better than being pounced on. Perhaps Tama's scent was on him. Didn't ordinary foxes do something similar? It was what he assumed, and it felt like it made the most sense. These other kitsune were being respectful, and he was glad. It would be dangerous traveling through here if they weren't. He wasn't interested in being raped by a random monster girl. Nick promised himself to Tama, and Tama only. Although, a worrying thought passed his mind.

What if Nick wasn't enough? Well, maybe love wise he would, to which he thought he would make sure never to screw up. But more importantly, for her other tails. Would she... require more lovers if he couldn't keep up? Nick bit his lip nervously. He wanted her happy, and if she wanted more tails, then perhaps she would need more. Although, he'd still be Number 1, right? Nick hoped so. Ugh, why did he have to bring this up?! He rustled his hair and groaned out in frustration, punching himself in the head. The thought was enough to distract him and make him forget that he was stepping off the path. He began rambling about how it was annoying, that he was nervous, that he questioned his own abilities. Nick was oblivious to where his feet were taking him, deeper into the forest still until his figure would be completely unseen from the road...

... An hour later...

... A knock came to Tama's door. Upon opening it, Tama would find another kitsune, stifling a laugh as she held a kimono sleeve on her mouth. "Tamamo? Did you lose something? Or rather, did your mate not know where he was going?" The older fox asked, snickering yet attempting still to hold it back. She simply shook her head, a silent response to tell Tama not to answer while she stepped to the side. Behind her was Nick, completely soaked from head to toe with his hair blocking his eyes, shoulders slumped forward as he held himself. The kitsune then burst out laughing as she clutched her sides, a single tear dripping down her cheek from sheer amusement.

"Oh Gods, Tamamo. It was hilarious. I was passing by and saw your husband, rambling on about some nonsense without even noticing he was walking towards the river. Then he just stepped right in, bwahahaha!" A moment to let her fit of laughter run. "Oh goodness. He shouted out and nearly floated down river, further into the mountains. It was so funny! He was splashing everywhere, the fish jumping on to him as he tried to stay afloat. Ahahahaha!" Meanwhile, Nick simply shivered from the chills he received from drenched clothing. He sniffled a bit, raising his hair so he could look at Tama. "Oh, I'm sorry. You should get him inside before he comes down with a cold. But if you saw it..." She trailed off before turning around and laughing again. She couldn't find a moment to breathe let alone say goodbye. So simply waving at them both, she was walking off, leaving the two lovebirds in front of Tama's home.

A mess, the young human man gave a sheepish smile while sniffling again. "H-Hey. The foods a little wet," He held up the bag, though miraculously, he was able to keep it all. "But I got the eggs and tofu. R-Right?" Hopefully she had dry clothes for him, Nick unaware of the lovely yukata she had made for him. But he definitely couldn't stay in this. Nick had good health, but he wasn't about to press his luck.

Tamamo's ears perked up upon hearing two pairs of footsteps approaching the front door, one light-footed and graceful while the other was heaver and more distinctly human. This alone peaked her interest sufficiently to bring her to the door, even before her one of her visitors knocked on the door. She carefully dispelled the seal she had placed on the entryway and turned the knob, peering through the crack to see Mika, one of the older kitsune that lived nearby. The two of them were on a first-name basis, mostly since Tamamo allowed her to frequent her part of the river for fishing, laundry washing, etc. However, Mika rarely paid Tamamo a visit unless something particularly out of the ordinary occurred, which was clearly the case as she noticed Nick's shivering form hunched over and rubbing his sides for warmth.

"Nick!?" Tama quickly took him inside, hardly listening to a word of what Mika was saying until she had eased Nick into a seat at the table and began to strip the wet clothes from off of him, "Thank you for taking care of my husband, Mika, but I can take it from here-" By then, however, the other kitsune was long gone, the door closed shut after her leaving the two of them in peace. Tama worked quickly, pulling Nick's clothes off and placing them in a pile beside the front door.

"What am I going to do with you, Nick? Can't you at least pay attention to where you are going?" Tama gently scolded him as she eased herself into his lap, her arms wrapping around him as she pressed her warm body against his and her long, fluffy tails wrapped around his middle. She pulled herself up and kissed him, extending the kiss for some time as she savored the sensation of their lips pressed together, his scent surrounding her. By the time she finally pulled back, her cheeks were tinted slightly red and her eyes watered with gentle tears, "Nick... I've missed you so much... Please visit more often. I know what I said before, but I'm not sure if I can take being apart from you for so long. I love you so much-"

Tamamo dried her tears with the tip of her sleeve before gesturing toward the far wall where she had hung her reciently finished yukata as she had promised, "I made it for you, Love. Would you like to try it on now, or... Would you prefer to enjoy me, first?" The kitsune gave her husband a playful wink, making it perfectly clear what she was referring to by those words. She eased herself off his lap and stood up, carefully removing the yukata from where she had mounted it before presenting it to her husband, "Please... Accept this as a sign of my love for you, Nick."

Finally inside, Nick was soon shed of his clothing quickly. It might have been a little perverted to think it, but she could take his clothes off fast. He internally snickered like a typical guy, but offered her a nervous smile as she scolded him. "In my defense, I was busy thinking about you." The fox on his lap now, sharing her warmth, Nick could help but feel complete again. This was right. It felt so perfect. He smiled lovingly as he let his arms wrap around her as well, resting on her lower back as the warm, soft fabric of her yukata felt lovely under his fingertips. "So really, I think you're to blame." He stuck his tongue out teasingly. "If I didn't think about you so much, I wouldn't be walking into the rivers so much, would I? Then again, I guess it's a nice trade." Nick would think about her all day. In fact, he already did. As if he would stop thinking about the wonderful monster girl - no, woman - that completed his life.

Their lips met, their bodies melded together as her tails kept him nice and warm. He didn't know how long they were kissing, but he really could care less. He just loved the feel of her lips, having missed it the second he stepped out of her door several days ago. He held her tighter, kissed her deeper, everything to convey in simple actions how much he truly missed her. When their lips parted, he was slightly out of breath, having forgotten to breathe as he looked up at her with such deep, burning love. "Trust me, I'm going to try every day." Nick whispered to her, nuzzling himself into her neck as he nibbled gently along her skin. "I love you, Tama. I love you more than anything in this world. I'm going to drop by more. Even if it has to be in the dead of the night."

His eyes followed where Tama was pointing, seeing the yukata. The dark blue was deep and striking, no doubt complimenting the tuft of fuzzy red hair adorning his head. Not only that, but the red and gold seemed so royal and majestic. It made it look like a yukata meant for an emperor. Tama stirred him from his daze, her little flirt not going unnoticed. However, he smiled and held up his index finger, signalling for her to hold that thought. She presented his yukata, Nick taking it gently as if her present to him would shatter if not handled correctly. Since he was undressed and cold, he felt this would be perfect to try it on. He slid the cotton fabric on, the feel of it wonderful against his chilled skin. It was perfect. The size, the length, the comfort. "It's perfect, Tama. Really, it's perfect." Nick said in excitement, laughing happily as he adjusted it on to his shoulders. Perfect. Like her. Just perfect.

And then a glint passed through his eyes as he grinned at her. Tama would find a pair of arms wrap around her again, pulling her against his partially clothed body as A, he lacked any undergarments, and B, he had the yukata open. "As to your previous question... how about both?" Nick teased in a naughty tone of voice, leaning up to her ear to ever so softly take it between his lips and nibble gently. He had accepted her sign of love. And he had a feeling he knew the perfect way to thank her.

"Why, thank you..." Tama's cheeks reddened slightly more upon hearing his praise, "I really tried my hardest to come up with a design you would like, and I guess I hit a home run with that one, hm?" Her ear flicked as he nibbled on it, his attentions to her ear apparently feeling slightly ticklish. When she turned her head upward to look at her husband, however, she had an oddly conflicted look on her face. Her arms slid up and down his sides, fingers pressing into his skin as she remained silent for some time. Did she really need to think this over? Her beloved husband was practically giving her an open invitation.

"Nick," Tamamo laid her head down on his chest, rubbing her cheek against him affectionately, "I... I want to make love to you again, as I always do, but could we hold off on that for a bit, today? I mean, if we tire ourselves out like that, I'm afraid we will use most of our time together sleeping off the fatigue instead of interacting with each other. Its not that I don't enjoy the time we spend in that way... I'm sure you know this better than anyone..."

"But, its not like I can get any more pregnant than I already am, right?" the kitsune cast him a sideways glance, "Which reminds me..." Tamamo briefly gestured toward her chest. "Mother would often try to reassure me when I would worry about how small my breasts are... She told me they would get bigger if I got pregnant, but they are exactly the same size as before! I know this to be true. I've measured them every two days just to make sure. Its been nearly two weeks already, too."

Tama puffed out her cheeks in a pouting manner, testing to see what sort of reaction Nick would have to her little monologue. Granted, Tama already knew that Nick did not mind what size of breasts she had, and considering the difference in scale between the two of them she felt reasonably certain that if she did have large enough ones to make a significant impact, it would likely result in her looking rather top-heavy. Tamamo was rather small for a kitsune, after all, and she often wondered why. From what she could remember, her own mother was rather tall. Did her father happen to be someone of small stature? So many questions remained unanswered.

"Well, you didn't have to try hard. You know me perfectly, but still, this is amazing work." Nick replied to her, smiling as she looked up to him. Though, he could see that look on her face. Conflict? Confusion? Debating something over? That seemed like a pretty good summation of what exactly was going on. Or, at least to him that is. Nick seemed to tilt his head to the side, awaiting her to speak about what was on her mind.

He held her closer when she pressed her head against him, smiling warmly as she affectionately nuzzled him. Though, he did admit, her next words did sound confusion, especially when technically she was the one that suggested. Nick wasn't ready to start a debate, mainly because she had a point. He was human, after all. Although, to think that even she would be sleeping off the fatigue added to his ego. He could go head to head with a monster girl? Nick was beaming with pride on the inside, and it took all his willpower to gloat. So, shoving it back down for the moment, Nick gave a nod and patted her head since he had the height on her. "Y'know, that's a good plan, Tama. Besides, this'll be our first dinner together. Let's do that." He reminded her, though it seemed she was going on. Did she hear him? Nick blinked several times as she went on.

Pregnant? Hm, the thought didn't cross his mind a lot. Since she brought it up though, "I did cum a lot. I guess not." Nick stated matter-of-factly, scratching the side of his cheek. He then looked at her curiously when she spoke softly, pointing to her chest. Was she worried about her breast size? And she's been measuring them? Aw, that cute pouty face. Nick couldn't resist melting away in her arms at such cuteness. "... You're so cute." He said, squeezing her affectionately before returning to the matter at hand. Her breasts, that is. Which weren't in his hands.

Tama would feel Nick placing his hands on her breast through her yukata, though it was far from seeking a sexual encounter since they both agreed to relax for today. This was more just to mess around. Squeeze squeeze. Nick paused. They were the same size, yeah. Squeeze squeeze. Another pause. The young human man had a contemplative expression on his face. It was as if he were observing and experimenting with Tama's chest. Squeeze squeeze. Finally, he sighed and let go. He looked into her eyes, a serious stare that locked their eyes to one another. "Tama..." He began, his voice almost sounding dramatic in some strange fashion. "... Your breasts are still wonderful." Silence. The wind seemed to whistle outside that made the air thick between them. A second later, and Nick chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. "You really want larger boobs? Besides, maybe it'll be until later, y'know?"

It was a thought. Her breasts were wonderful right now. He didn't really like really large breasts on a woman too, so he found Tama to be perfect figure wise. He wouldn't change a thing. Although, if she wanted larger breasts, he was contemplating how to accomplish that. Was there some sort of natural herb or food that could help? He could fondle them a lot. Didn't that make them bigger? Nick rubbed his chin in thought, apparently letting them become naughty as he thought more about groping her. "Hmmmm..."

When Nick reached down and began to grope her through her yukata, Tama did not put up even an appearance of resistance, instead simply closing her eyes and savoring the sensation of his warm palms pressing against her chest. A soft sign slipped past her lips, as if his actions were relaxing and soothing to her. Her tails even began to rub against his back a bit more fervently, returning the favor as it were. She clearly was not expecting him to actually comment on his exploration.

"... Your breasts are still wonderful."

Tama's face turned pure red upon hearing his words, her breath catching in her throat as her mind practically locked up. She had considered the possibility before, but hearing it from his own mouth was a different experiance entirely. Why had she fallen so completely for this man to such an extent that even such simple things left her completely flustered? "O-of course not, Stupid! I was just asking because I wanted to hear you say it... That you like me just the way I am. Before we got together, you never really showed any interest in me sexually, even before you went out with Yuki. Pardon me for being somewhat worried about my appearance... I mean, I like myself just the way I am, too. I mean, if I weren't a kitsune perhaps it would have been easier for me to confess to you and become your lover, but in the end it all turned out fine."

The kitsune snuggled up closer to her husband, "You didn't have much trouble getting here, did you? I mean, besides the part about the river. Most monster girls should leave you alone since I've claimed you as my husband. Of course, not all monster girls care about that sort of thing, but most kitsune do. Sure, human males are important but our peaceful, laid-back lifestyle is, too. If we spent all of our time fighting over males, everyone would end up more unhappy in the end. so, its sort of an unoffical aggreement that if we can land one on our own, the others will stay away."

Tama's ears perked up and she carefully eased herself away from Nick in order to head into the kitchen and prepare some food for the both of them, "Say, that reminds me... Would you happen to have any interest in going with me to a monster girl hot spring resort? I could pull some strings and get us a reservation. I mean, it would be a great opportunity for us to spend some time together and perhaps get to know some of the other kitsune in the area a bit better."

"No, I don't mean in that way," the kitsune's eyes narrowed slightly, "I've heard there are strict regulations concerning indeciency in the public areas. The owner doesn't want the baths to turn into some sort of orgy." She carefully unwrapped the package Nick had brought, her eyes glistening upon spotting the packaged tofu. She quickly lit the stove and got to it, wrapping a pink frilled apron around herself before dicing the ingredients. Her skilled fingers worked quickly, frying strips of tofu and eggs in canola oil while she mixed seasoned potatoes, onions, and broccoli together in another pan. To finish it off, she set down bowls of plain white rice (that she had prepared beforehand) for a base starch for their meal.

Tama sat down at the kitchen table in relative silence, stealing glances at Nick while she worked her chopsticks, picking up each savory bit of food and placing it between her lips. Her tails were wagging, however, showing her satisfaction with the current situation. After they ate, she stood up and walked over to his side, whispering into his ear, "Lets go out for a walk, ok?" Her fingers gently intertwined with his as her eyes shone like brilliant pearls.

His words had the intended effect, Nick imagining in his mind that he was some master Navy general that blew Tama out of the water in surprise. Success! Yet, seeing her like that, her face beet red and her otherwise derailed mind unable to cope, the young man suddenly picked her up in his arms and swung her around, smiling from ear to ear. "You're so adorable! I could just... I could just hold you all day! Cuddle with you and make you blush all the time!" Oh wait, he had a word for this. He looked it up, and while it probably wasn't that great, Nick went ahead and said it. "Kawaii! Kawaii ne!" Yes, he Googled it. He couldn't speak Japanese to save his life, but since kitsune were from Japanese legends and stuff, he thought it was appropriate. Plus, he was hoping it would impress her. Secretly.

Soon, Tama was set down on her feet as he chuckled at her words. "C'mon, foxy. You know I love you no matter how you look or act. You're my dream girl." Then she mentioned how he never showed interest in her before they became a couple. At this, it was his turn to blush as he looked away and scratched the side of his cheek. "That's... not really true." His voice was all but a mutter as he swallowed a lump in his throat. A little too embarrassed to say it, Nick sighed and just shook his head, holding her tightly when she snuggled up to him.

Well, minus the river, yeah, he did well. "I think I would've made it. Maybe missed a turn here or there, but I think everything would've been all right." Nick replied, smiling as he kissed her on the head. "Actually, I knew most of the way." He paused to gauge her reaction, grinning as he revealed something she never knew. "When we were kids and you went home, I remember that I was never allowed to go up towards the mountains. Well, I always wanted to know where you lived, so I started following you when we were a little older. I only got about halfway up here though before I lost track of you. So, halfway up here was all familiar to me. The rest? Eh, I'm sure I would've made it." Nick took a second to contemplate if he really would make it. "... Eventually."

She went to prepare the food, and Nick (although he wanted to help) took a seat as he watched her. Her words peaked his interest as he mulled the thought over. Did he have any interest? Well, yeah. Just for the hot springs and togetherness with Tama sounded wonderful. "Totally. You said you were going to take me to a hot spring resort once anyway." Nick replied with an excited expression. "It'll be a great break as well. Y'know, getting away from the town and having to worry about all that stuff. We should make it a nice vacation too, not just a one day thing. And with it going to get colder soon, a hot spring would be the perfect getaway. Right?" The thought was more and more enticing, Nick starting to really get excited with the idea of a vacation. And other monster girls? He pictured several kitsune or other monster girls there, probably scantily clad, dressed up in towels, and-

Tama apparently dismissed his thoughts, Nick blink at her innocently. He laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his heads. "H-Hey now, come on. I'm not constantly thinking about sex and all that, or public sex... despite how hot that sounds." Nick mumbled the last part and would claim innocence if she inquired. "Seriously though, we should go. It'll be great." The human male repeated, watching her continue the process of cooking with her cute, frilly apron. He held back the urge to run up and cuddle her to death. God, she was so cute, so adorable!

They were soon eating, Nick digging in immediately (though he began fumbling a bit with the chopsticks. Tama always poked fun at him about that). "This is really good. Tama, I don't think I can settle with instant ramen and pizza at home." He said between chewing, practically inhaling his food. He noted her silence, constantly letting her know that her food was amazing and wonderful. Miraculously though, they ended at the same time when Nick was quite certain he would've finished first. The soft sound of her voice though erased the thought from his mind as he felt their hands meet, fingers crossed and laced together as Nick smiled. This was nice, this was really nice.

"Sure thing. I'd love to do that. Show me around the forest?" Nick asked as he stood up, adjusting his yukata as he tied the sash and obi around his waist. He also would have to get used to this. He was currently naked underneath, so he was hoping that the yukata stayed on while they were walking.

"Of course," Tama nodded and stood up from the table, allowing him ample time to fix his yukata while she fetched two pairs of wooden sandals called geta which where traditionally worn with yukata. She slipped her feet into her sandals and helped Nick into his own before sliding her arms around his left arm, walking by his side as she led him out into the dim forest and the door shut and resealed itself behind them.

It was cold outside the cottage, their breath forming visible puffs as they exhaled, but Tamamo felt safe and warm beside her husband. Her tails wrapped around his middle, holding him snugly against her although it did made it rather awkward for them to walk. She rubbed her cheek against his sleeve, a soft purring accompanying the affectionate gesture. She led him on in continued silence, the still beauty of the forest opening before them as they walked past old trees, sharp rocky pillars and peaks, and grassy open areas decorated with rare mountain flowers. While before this had been a rather lonely time of year as she had spent many days such as this cuddled up beside her mother at the warm hearth while she was little more than a soft ball of fuzz, Nick's presence evoked a far different surge of emotion from within her heart. The wind blew colder than before, as the sun dipped ever closer to the distant horizon, but she felt safe and warm with him at her side.

That afternoon, however, there was another human wandering the winding mountain passes, trying hard to stay just out of the kitsune's sharp detective range. Her eyes narrowed slightly, unaccustomed to the dim light which obscured the two lover's features from the view of their observer... Who was none other than Yuki. Over the past few days, Nick had begun acting more and more anxious although the source of his anxiety remained a complete mystery. Upon finding his house empty that afternoon, she decided to go the one place she feared he might venture. After spending over two hours of searching, she had managed to find a young pair, a kitsune and her husband, but due to the darkness it was impossible to tell if the human was Nick and the kitsune was Tama... Not that she really cared if it were her or any other random kitsune. She dipped into her jean pocket with her right hand and drew out her phone after crouching behind a rock, tapping through her list of contacts before settling on Nick's number. Taking a deep breath, she pressed the call button, waiting patiently to see if the young man she was tailing would pick up the phone and confirm his identity.
