Eh, maybe I played too much Resident Evil, but my preferred big weapon is the grenade launcher.

Grenades are fun, but I personally enjoy things that can sling lead down range. It also helps hold doorways/fall back locations.

I'm decent with CqC.. as good as I can be with no formal training. I've got a little swordplay down

Also, I prefer bow too, although it's bad on the joints without gear or extensive practice.

I could hit okay, when I used to have one. Then we lost the string, and I fell out of practice. My joints thank me though.

The rat NMCs are more filler, and while easy to kill, usually come in packs and have a nasty bite.

I wouldn't know. I am terrible with rifles of any kind. Last time I tried one I almost got knocked over by the recoil >.>

I had my dad take me to a firing range a while back. I'm actually a decent shot with a gun.

I'll stick to pistols. Only gun I was decent with, a Glock I think, when I fired some with my mom's friend.
