Ber'nia waited for a moment then attempted to break the tension. "Well, we should get moving. I don't know about everyone, but I am hungry. Do you think they have some good lettuce in town?"

he makes a slight bow, and starts toward town, simmering down. Reina is confused whether or not she should follow him or talk to Ber'nia.

Viviane nods. "You have to go to a little eatery, but they are quite good at cooking. Most traveller's eat there."

"Oh? Been around here a while I take it?" He responds

Viviane nods again. "I've been here about a week. I checked in with Lios's mother before that."

Ber'nia follows along with the group as they head to town. She sees the confused Reina and gestures for her to follow.

Paul follows behind the rest of the party, Volmar at his side.

Lios follows, still clinging to Ber'nia.

DM: Halfway to Evermor, on a well traveled path on the open plains.... Everyone roll your sense checks.

She nodded and followed the party, sticking close to Ber'nia. "What do you suggest though, really?"

"That... Is unusual. Roc's prefer mountains, and avoid settlements. What's it doing flying _towards_ one?" Paul speaks aloud, dragging himself out of his memories.

Ber'nia hears Paul and looks up, hoping to see what he was talking about as she must have missed it.

Balmung nodded, cautious, subconsciously taking a defensive stance to protect Reina.

Viviane is silent, eyes narrowed in calculation.

Lios sees it, but ignores it, trying to collect himself in case it becomes trouble.

DM: Ber'nia sees it.

Ber'nia gasps at the sight of the huge bird, having never seen anything like it before.

Reina clung a bit to him, startled for a moment by it's size. (would this lead to a charisma check, even if unintentional?)

Paul watches it fly by, and continues toward town.

Viviane is wondering if someone summoned or controlled it. She continues on toward town as well.
