Ohh! That happened to me once! It was a wooden crate, wrapped in rope, then a smaller box in chain, than a duct tape box, then one with a combination lock, then a origami star box, and it had a DS game in it.

... XD You had to play a puzzle game just to get your DS game. What game was it? Was it at least worth the trouble?

Nope. Phantom Hourglass was too easy. And not really. after I undid the rope, I got annoyed and just broke the chain and tore the boxes to shreds until I got to the combination lock.

Well, now that we've gotten some of the morning/afternoon drama out of the way, can we get a post Mr. DM Ghai guy? ;P

The lock was simple though.. you could feel the tumblers click if you focused

I thought it worked like the hypnotism spell and I still get a will save, just with no bonuses. At least that's what it looks like according to the rules.

Hrm? ... Oh, maybe. How would the will save work here?
"While the subject is fascinated by this spell, it reacts as though it were two steps more friendly in attitude. This allows you to make a single request of the affected creature (provided you can communicate with it). The request must be brief and reasonable. Even after the spell ends, the creature retains its new attitude toward you, but only with respect to that particular request."

Ber'nia is already kinda in this state, so... I don't think she gets a will save anymore. Unless you can come up with a will save to go against the Diplomacy? How would that work? Hrrmm.... *thinking* Any Ideas?

Also according to hypnotism it would be increasing Ber'nia's attitude by 2 steps, which really doesn't do anything as she is already either Friendly or Helpful. She'll pretty much comply to a request like that unless the situation is unreasonable to do so.

Edit: And you put that up above. I don't think it's really going to do much in this case, other than give her a little more incentive which would be player description stuff rather then mechanics. Maybe a penalty to Lios trying to convince her when she doesn't want to/thinks they shouldn't?

A battle with yourself to resist the hypnotic affects on the inside? like Ego vs. Id? Woo! Psychology!

True... well, I don't know. I assume it's just something to remember for the future, just in case.

EDIT: Ah! That's a good Idea! ^.^

Hi Harper. And nice dream, wish I could have that kind of dream some times XD

Also you're the resident expert, what would you judge for the hypnotic effect?

Ah, still wondering what happened to Harper. Or is he trying to make a ruling, and just taking longer than normal?

I kinda avoid hypnosis, since in D&D it's rarely used. But if a suggestion to a _specific_ action is made, then the person will be the highest attitude (excluding fanatic) towards that action.

Well Hypnosis in real life is simply a lowering of inhibition and an increased likelihood of following a suggestion. It's not mind control and the D and D version actually seems more realistic looking at it.
