Hydrophobic Romance (malin & Aise)

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren blinked for a moment watching her move closer. he didn't know why but having her closer was oddly comforting. Her grumbles were almost cute, and once again he was aw struck by just how elegant her ears actually appeared to be. She had cute defining features long silver hair, if it wasn't for her constant attitude, she could have been very beautiful, and yet her looks were spoiled by her attitude even if her grumblings made him giggle slightly from just how cute she was when she did brooded.

Her words however shocked him. She was really asking him if the kiss was bad? He blinked taken off guard by the question. He had expected a lot of things from her, but not that. His hand reached up touching her cheek lightly as he looked at her. "N-no... I enjoyed it."

He blushed lightly with embarrassed looking at her, again the realization that he didn't even know this Neko's name was dawning on him, and hitting him hard at that. His hand on her cheek was lightly caressing her face moving up slightly to touch her silver hair infatuated by it. "I mean... I don't even know you, and well I think your..." His voice faded as he tried to find the words he had.

"A-are you really scared of me?" She was the first girl he had ever gotten this close too. The thought that she was afraid of him, made him want to distance himself from her. He didn't know her name, and there was alot that was keeping him from really kissing her again. He looked at her oddly He couldn't tell if she wanted to be kissed again or not, but he was telling the truth, he had enjoyed the kiss. "Because if you are... wouldn't me kissing you just make things worse?"

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Staying dead still as Ren reached out and touched her face, her mind was telling her to pull away, to slap that filthy hand away. But she’d cornered herself under the bed, and there was no way she could jump over Ren without being caught. Her attempts to get Ren to leave had ended in vain, so the only thing she could do was wait, and put up with…. His rather gentle strokes.

She hated his touch. This was after all, the same bully that had tried to make a fool of her in the cafeteria by exposing her phobia. But even then…. Even if she hated his guts… she couldn’t resist how soft and gentle his caressing hand was. Her golden orbs fluttering shut behind her eyelids as she let out a cute little purr of approval. Her purr almost sounding like a sensual inviting moan, the smart thing for her to do would have been to pull away, but instead she tipped her head a bit so that Ren’s hands were brushing against her ear. A happy little mewl squeaking out from between her luscious lips, her eyes only fluttering open when Ren spoke again. A look of contempt on her face again, though her eyes seemed much gentler. “I… though I told you that I’m not scared…. Of you or of anything else” she repeated stubbornly.

“And I never said I wanted you to k-k-kiss me” she mumbled, stuttering at the taboo word that immediately flushed her cheeks. “I’ll scratch your ugly face of it you even think about trying again” she added unclearly, “I’m just asking if I did a bad job, I don’t care about you, but if I ever…. You know…. Get a boyfriend, then I don’t want to be the only one to enjoy it” lowering her eyes, completely oblivious to the fact that she’d just indirectly admitted to enjoying the kiss. “S-so, how was it? What did I do wrong? You owe me that much at least right?” she asked sounding a bit more desperate than she intended to let on.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren didn't want to admit it but he liked just how stubborn she was being with her tone of voice. it sounded far more cute then it should have, and even felt a little like she was taunting him, especially with her purr's and moans. he paid some attention to her ear taking note of the softer fur along the outside of it, and enjoying the feeling it for a moment lost in thought as he heard her speak. It was odd how this was the same girl who attacked him twice, and yet he found that he was slightly enjoying her company, if only in a very strange way.

She was still lying about her fear of him, but honestly he was comforted by the lie, he didn't want the truth that she disliked him, because he was slightly fond of her, at least in a physical sense of how beautiful she actually was. Her personality aside she was physically attractive, and her purring was cute. If given time he could have honestly seen himself growing attracted to this Neko, but his own ears twitched burning slightly when she said she didn't care about him. His hand stopped and he pulled away from her slightly a sigh escaping him as he gave up. he couldn't change this girls mind about him it seemed, and although it was a shaky reply she certainly meant it on some level. Even if he could grow to care about her, she clearly hated him.

"I don't know." He said turning away from her, and slowly starting to get up off the floor. "It... was my first.... so I c-cant really c-compare it." it wasn't embarrassment that caused his stutter, but rather hurt, once again another girl had come into his life and ended up hating him. more and more it seemed like he was doomed to be alone... though really what did he expect coming from this neko. "So... all I..can say is I enjoyed it."

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

As Ren sighed and pulled away Aesha looked at him confused. Genuinely not understanding why Ren had suddenly stopped, she didn’t think in her wildest dreams that Ren could have been so easily offended, and even if she had known about his sensitive social skills, she wouldn’t have thought Ren would care what she thought. Why was the feline even here anyway? It wasn’t like he was obligated to help her or anything. They weren’t even friends, and as far as Aesha knew, their dislike for eachother was mutual. Though the thought somehow seemed to hurt more than it seemed to reassure her.

Thinking that Ren would just get up and walk off, Aesha remained still, trailing his actions with her eyes, she was still pretty much naked, and didn’t want to risk getting out until Ren had completely left the room, but the man’s words, and the way he said them and made Aesha actually smile a bit. A strange bubbly warmth in her chest when she heard that Ren wasn’t some sort of kissaholic that went around pressing his lips against anyone.

The man didn’t really deserve it, but Aesha figured such a confession deserved some sort of reward. Reaching out and tugging the hem of Ren’s pants to once against direct his attention towards her, she looked up at Ren curiously, before lowering her own eyes and mumbling “Aesha…. Phantigris” in a nearly inaudible tone. A dark crimson blush forming on her cheeks before she suddenly pushed feebly at Ren’s shin, before pulling her hand and body back under the bed. “Aesha… my name” she stated sounding a bit cross to hide her embarrassment, “Now get out! I can’t change with you standing there, if I catch a cold I’ll sue you” she added, waiting for Ren to leave.

The relieved look on her face quickly changing to panic when Ren took the first step towards the door. “Uh wait” she whispered so quietly even she couldn’t hear it. “Wait a sec” she said a bit louder, though there was no way Ren could have heard that either.
“Ren! I said wait!” she nearly shouted, calling out to the boy loud enough for the entire hallway outside to hear. The sudden shout enhancing her embarrassment as she asked for something she wished she didn’t have to. “Can you get my uniform before you leave? Just drop it on the floor…. I sort of can’t….. get up” she admitted in shame, hating herself for having to ask someone to get her clothes as her earlier actions seemed to have made her ankle worse. And even crawling around under the bed was causing it to pulsate painfully.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren stood to leave turning away from her only for a moment as he felt the tug he turned back his eyes reflecting only some of the hurt that she had put him through. He blinked hearing her name for the first time Aesha He looked at her for several long moments not sure of what too say to that. not sure how he should react. He had thought that she disliked him, and yet she had given him a name. A small smile broke on his face, though he didn't move to hug her or touch her, it was just a soft friendly smile as he nodded. "I hope I can see you around Aesha." He said his voice quiet as he turned and started to leave.

As she screamed he turned back his eyes wide his tail strait from the sudden noise. The shout rang in his ears making them press back flat to his head. His vision was slightly blurred from just how loud she was. He was taken aback, but none the less paid attention to her request. "y-yeah s-sure." he stuttered as he collected her uniform from where it had been tossed onto the ground. His ears still ringing from the scream. As he brought them to her he leaned down to give her the clothing ignoring her order to just drop it on the floor but rather passing it too her with a hesitant hand.

It was odd how much he wanted things to be different between them right now. but he didn't have the time to figgure this stuff out. as it was he was now late for the swim team. A thought which had up until that moment alluded him. He blinked turning, and grabing his bag. "Im late for the swim team. I-i hope we could meet again." He said repeating his words slightly stronger then the last time he said it, turning and running down the hall leaving her with the door shutting behind him, as he bolted for the pool. He doubted that Aesha would have followed him, but... he wanted her too.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

It was a selfish request, and hence had been one that had been made under the assumption that it’d be completely ignored. Even if Ren did do her the favour, she’d figured he’d either rudely knock her clothes off the table and walk off, or if lucky hurl them her way. The most likely though in her mind was that the man would just walk off. Technically he didn’t owe her anything, and even Aesha knew that she’d been less than pleasant to Ren…. But then again, what else would one expect from someone who was most likely a bully that had approached her with the intention of screwing her highschool life over? The possibility that it’d all been an accident hadn’t even crossed her mind, and the repeated attempts to make her make contact with water whether it be bottled, pooled or whatever else was more than enough to indicate that the man wanted to make a fool of her….

So why did her heart skip a beat when squatted down and handed her her clothes? Why did he look so hurt and lonely? She wanted to ask him a few questions now, but before she could even get the chance Ren suddenly mentioned something about swimming and bolted off. Aesha opening her mouth to call out to Ren again, but this time no words came out. She didn’t have anything to hold him back with, and as the broad shoulders disappeared Aesha couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty…. Or perhaps she felt a bit lonely? She couldn’t tell the difference, but as she clutched her clothes and pulled herself out from under the bed she smiled weakly, nodding her head. “Yeah… see you later Ren” she mumbled quietly towards the door. The though of chasing after him didn’t even cross her mind, after all, she wasn’t even sure if she could even place herself back in a bed, and even if she weren’t injured, she wasn’t likely to chase after someone heading to such an expansive amount of water.

“We better meet again…. You still owe me a wish” she whispered. Putting her clothes on with a bit of difficulty before attempting to crawl back into bed with no luck. It wasn’t until much later that the nurse arrived and patched her up. The nurses offer to send Aesha to a hospital to get it checked out was swiftly rejected by the white eared girl, and the nurse couldn’t get in contact with her parents. Her father wouldn’t be back until late at night, and her mother was probably working a part time shift, or shopping around for the cheapest groceries. Either way there was no way of contacting her as Aesha didn’t know which job she’d be at, and none of them could afford a mobile phone.

Properly dressed, she slept through most of the day rather peacefully, only waking up when the chimes went off to signal the start of lunch…. Or maybe it was hometime? It was sort of hard to tell, but she could hear the sound of people walking around in the hallways. Suddenly hit with a pang of hunger, she bit her lip, realizing she hadn’t eaten anything for more than 24 hours. She considered asking the nurse for a quick bite, but after looking around found the room completely deserted.

Staring at the door, she waited a few minutes, her hunger getting worse with each passing second, for some reason the name that left her lips wasn’t her parents, the nurse, or even her friends.

“Ren….”

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren had gotten to the swim team meet up late, and even when he did hit the pool, he was slower then usual. His body was clumsy as his tail kept flicking in annoyance. He didn't know why it was so hard to focus, but he didn't like the feeling. By the time he pulled himself out of the water he sighed looking like a drowned cat. his ears flicking off drops of water and his hands ringing some of the moisture from his tail. His athletic body gave a small growl hungry, as he sat through his trudging morning classes.

by lunch time his tail was drooped and his stomach growling, an odd thought occurred to him however. as he walked too the cafeteria. Aesha had spent the entire night at the school, whats more she hadn't eaten a proper lunch yesterday either. He honestly doubted that she was still here, but even so as he lined up with the cafiteria he found himself buying two lunches. If she wasn't around, than he would just eat them both and live happily, but if she was still at the nurses office, he couldn't imagine how hungry she would have been.

He moved carefully through the halls holding the lunches close to his body. He would not have allowed the same thing to happen a second time as he walked to the nurses office. It was at least partly his fault that she was had been in here, but with that ankle he couldn't imagine why she would still be around.

He sighed standing at the door for a moment. She had already accused him of being a stalker, she had scratched him, and had so far only served to be cruel so why was he now standing outside with food waiting for a chance to enter a room she probably wasn't even inside of. Maybe it was just infatuation, but he wanted to know more about her. "She probably isn't even here."

He muttered slightly as he opened the door looking around his brown ears twitching slightly as he saw Aesha. "H-hello."He swallowed trying to put on a kind smile as he entered the room shutting the door behind him. He put the lunch tray down on a counter showing that he had brought enough for both of them. "My guess was that you would be hungry. I thought if you were still here... well I brought some food."

He spoke defensively as he passed her a lunch. He made sure that she had a small container of milk instead of water, hoping that this would go better then last time he had a lunch.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Suddenly realizing who’s name she’d called, she quickly placed a hand over her mouth,. Looking around the room frantically despite already knowing it was deserted. She had no idea why she’d called the name of her tormentor, but thinking about it certainly didn’t help. A hot flush ravaging her body as she felt her face burning with embarrassment. Her body recalling how good his strong firm hands felt against her skin, hair and ears…….. and lips. The sudden reminder causing her to squeak and curl up a bit into herself, hugging her arms and rocking a bit in hopes that it’d calm down.

She honestly felt like an insane patient, but despite her frantic mind, she picked up on the door opening seconds after, turning her head immediately thinking it was the nurse, only to find Ren standing there. The sight of him nearly causing her to topple back off the bed. “Ren?!?” she asked in disbelief, quickly pulling the bedsheets up to her face defensively, more out of confusion and embarrassment than anything else. “What are you-“ she started, but cut herself off upon seeing what Ren was carrying. Her stomach letting out a hungry growl immediately to give away her hunger.

“H-hi…” she replied back, hher golden eyes blinking a few times in disbelief as Ren approached and placed the food beside the bed. Her confusion evident, she considered the possibility that Ren was some asshole and would eat both lunches before her very eyes, just to jeer at her. But before she could start hating him for the cruel act, her thoughts were crushed as Ren spoke and offered her a tray. The disbelief on her face turning into bewilderment as she quietly took the tray and placed it on her lap, looking over the food carefully.

What game was this guy playing? Why was he even here? What was he after?

Question ran rampant in her head, but the more she thought about it, the less sense it made. Neko’s like them seldom had much money, and the mere act of offering a free meal wasn’t too common. Not unheard of, but the gesture seemed both extremely kind, and disturbingly generous.

“What is this?....” she asked still perplexed. Her mind wondering if the food had been drugged or something, though she knew how rude that’d sound and kept that part quiet. Her tone of voice was unusually calm, a bit curious, but predominantly confused.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren blinked seeing just how she was when he came in. Still jittering and still so nervious he almost felt like he could break her just by talking to her. Though it was still cute too see her bewildered face as she took the food. He gave her a smile and jestured for her to eat. This was many things, in that it was the last of his lunch money for the month, but also part of his apology. No matter what she did to him directly he had still started this, and was the current cause of her injuries. and where he could at least walk around and move from class to class, she could not.

"I-it's food... I.." He took his own tray as he sat aside from her and took a bite of his lunch too stop himself from talking before he could think over all the words he was going too say. swallowing down the bite he continued. "I wanted to apologize... This was the best way I could do that." His voice was slightly mumbling. He had spent most of the morning thinking of what he would say to this woman if he met her again, and now that he was face to face with her again, he was falling flat on his face.

Still he bit his lip slightly. The food had cost him the last of his money for the month. If she rejected it which part of him expected her to do. He half heartily expected her to take what ever kindness he could give her and throw it back into his face. He took another bite of his own food.

His tail swayed slightly he was wary of her, but it wasn't fear, just a nervious anticipation. "I want to put our misunderstandings behind us." His voice was soft and quiet, but still loud enough that he was confident she could hear what he was saying. His ears twitched with anticipation still on his guard for what was to come.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

“Food…” she repeated after Ren, staring at the food as if this were the first time she’d ever hear the word. Her mind still unable to recover fully from the shock of seeing him so soon, though what really shocked her was that Ren had arrived seconds after she’d called his name. Like a loyal dog or something which came at her beck and call.

“Apologize?...” finally taking her eyes off the food, she looked at Ren clearly confused, taking a few moments to recall exactly what Ren was referring t before the hostile wary look Ren was probably familiar by now with settled on her face. She wouldn’t accept kindness from her enemy. She had no idea what Ren had done to the food, but she was nearly certain that he had.

Holding her stomach and trying to keep it quiet she pushed the tray away from herself a bit. Listening to Ren’s words carefully. She didn’t think there was any misunderstanding between them, but if she outright refused Ren now, she’d give Ren the satisfaction of badmouthing her to others and saying how rudely she acted, and there was no way she’d let him do that. She’d worked way too hard to gain her current status, and Ren wasn’t going to take it away from her.

Determination in her eyes she pointed at the tray Ren had eaten out of. “I prefer that tray” she said a bit crossly, ignoring the fact that the contents of both trays were exactly the same. “If they’re the same thing, you won’t mind switching with me right?” she asked using her realization to support her own demands. It was a peculiar request, but one that’d make sure there was nothing wrong with the food Ren had brought her.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren had already taken two rather large bites out of the food he held, and so her question confused him for a moment. ~Does she think i poisoned the meal?~ he thought briefly He shrugged, he hadn't touched the milk or anything other then the main part of the meal, so there was no real harm in trading she just had a slightly eaten entry. "Fine." He said giving a shrug the last time she had looked at him like that she had clawed him, and thrown medical supplies at him, did he honestly care anymore?

He gave a small sigh his ears drooping slightly as he took up the tray she had pushed away. Taking it onto his own lap. as he traded with her. His ears and tail drooped slightly along with his eyes. even when trying to put his best foot forward it seemed she judged him. It wasn't just that she didn't trust him, it was the look she kept giving him, like it was like she declared him a mortal enemy, and he didn't know why but that just ended up hurting.

Then again why should she be any different from any of the other female's. Human or Neko, it seemed women just outright disliked him. Giving a small sigh he started eating showing that nothing was wrong with the food. He didn't care anymore, if she was only going to treat him with a cold sholder why should he go out of his way too do anything to help her.

"Your stumach's growling so just eat already so I can go." His voice was somewhat defeated now. He didn't want to be Aesha's enemy, but she kept glaring at him, and kept putting him on the defensive. the only move he could make was to not play into her hand. "I don't want to be your enemy." He muttered as he took another bite.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Aesha just watched as the man before her started eating the tray they’d traded without seeming to give it much thought. The willingness initially catching her off guard, she was nearly tempted to tell him to ‘stop’ the first time he raised the food to his lips. Though such requests were quickly swallowed and lost as the food in Ren’s mouth too disappeared without causing any problems.

Well, not health problems at least anyway. Even Aesha knew that her demand had been a bit rude if the food hadn’t been tampered with, and Ren clearly had thought the same thing, for his tail and ears dropped visibly, and the kindness in his voice disappeared only to be replaced by apathy. It wasn’t fair. This wasn’t fair at all. She hadn’t done anything wrong, so why was she suddenly feeling so guilty? Why was she caring that she’d hurt Ren’s feelings? More importantly, how could she make it up to him?

Apologizing seemed to be the obvious thing to do, but she wasn’t sure Ren would take it to heart, more importantly Aesha herself didn’t want to apologize, as Ren would surely use it against her henceforth, and most likely use it to trick her into some other act….. Would he really?

Watching Ren eat for a bit, she didn’t even touch her food. Staring warily at the milk, making a mental note not to drink it…. Due to personal reasons. Everything else seemed fine. But eating it now seemed inappropriate after she’d doubted Ren’s intentions.

As Ren moved to fill his mouth once more Aesha reached out and grabbed his arm. Her Small hand hooking around Ren’s halfway around Ren’s arm as she hesitated. “Wait, I-I want that now” she stuttered indicating the food that was already halfway past Ren’s lips. “If you’re not my enemy, you’re a friend right? You’ll listen to my request if you’re my friend right?” she blurted out, having no idea what she was saying.

Gnawing on her lip, and flicking her tails awkwardly behind her, she hesitated one last time before closing her eyes, and parting her lips just a bit. A faint trace of red on her cheeks while her body trembled a bit. Her body seemingly bracing itself for a kiss, when she was actually asking Ren to feed her the piece he’d just been about to eat. Her hand was still wrapped around Ren’s arm, so while Ren could easily shake her off, Aesha would know if Ren got a different piece and gave it to her from his arm movement.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren didn't pay much attention to Aesha's movements up until she grabbed his arm. it shocked him for a moment and he looked at her. He blinked for several moments as she called him a friend, and once again wanted the food that he was eating. At first he thought she was just doing this to be offensive, she had already doubted him, and now it seemed like she was mocking him wanting the food to come literally from his mouth. He sighed closing his eyes for a moment calming himself.

She was calling him friend that was new, maybe she actually meant it on some level. He doubted it. Aesha never had a heart before why would she start to care now? His ears twitched but he still played into the small hope he had left for her, maybe she wasn't trying to pull something. He turned the food around and guided it towards her mouth with his hand, once again this Neko was confusing him, but for the moment she was calling him a friend... and that made him want too at least try to be nice.

"Here you go." His voice was still dipped in depression, he wasn't going to do a one eighty just on one line of dialog, and he also didn't trust her at the moment. All she had to do was move her hand too quickly and the food would have been spilt all over the floor. He had a few scenarios he could believe at the moment everything from the girl twisting his wist and pouring the foot onto the ground, too her somehow throwing it literally into his face.

Or all she needed to do was dig in with her claws and scratch him, the feeling of her hand on his arm was a reminder of how she did just that the last time. The way she had blurted out her request made him wary, but the red flush of her face, and the embarrassed movements of her tail... her body language wasn't trying to be evil... so unless she was a really good liar she had to be genuine right?

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

If Aesha had known the things going through Ren’s head at that stage, she probably would have at least tried to throw the food in Ren’s face. But even then, she’d been brought up to not play with her food, and wasting it in such a pointless act seemed silly. Either way, it wasn’t likely she’d notice either as her eyes remained firmly closed, her nerves on edge as she waited for Ren to comply, her arms seemed to be locked on to Ren’s as the food slowly made it’s way over to her mouth. The fact that the food had pretty much been in Ren’s mouth already not really bothering her as much as it should have. After all, he’d already kissed her once.

Feeling the food pressing against her lips, she purred quietly before opening her mouth a bit wider, leaning her head forward, her lips closing around Ren’s fingers, and even risking a brief lick of the tip of Ren’s thumb, before pulling away swiftly. Chewing the food she couldn’t quite taste as her brain felt all cluttered and confused. “Thank you….” She mumbled before pointing at the salad next. “Can I have some of that next?” she asked shyly, intending to make Ren feed her until she was full. She probably would have scratched Ren’s face off if anyone were watching, but seeing as they were alone, there was something awfully soothing about the exchange, and somewhere along the line she’d forgotten about apologizing. Finding a strange pleasure in having someone feed her. She flicked her ears and smiled weakly.

“You sure you didn’t do it on purpose?” she asked uncomfortably, a bit more willing to trust Ren now. She hadn’t trusted anything Ren had said, but his actions were apologetic enough, and he genuinely seemed to be wanting to get along to some extent. “The water and everything” she blurted out, not wanting to touch too heavily on their earlier encounter where he’d seen her pretty much naked, and then stolen her first kiss.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren let out a soft pur, and blinked not sure why he had. there was something about watching her eat and feeding her which even Ren had to admit that he was taken in by her cuteness at that moment, and as she purred his ears actually perked up a little. He smiled as she opened her eyes. He blinked as she thanked him, it was up until now really unlike her. She had never shown any kind of appreciation before, and to hear her actually say something like that brought him out of his depression. Maybe she was being honest about this attempt at friendship.

He stabbed at the salad with his fork gathering up a good mouthful as he shook his head on her question. "What happened yesterday was an accident. I was overly excited about my food, and wasn't watching where I was going, and I am guessing you were distracted as well. either way we just ended up bumping into one another." He said finally able to explain what had happened that fateful day when she had caused his lunch to spill out all over the ground.

He guided the salad towards her mouth making sure that none of the dressing dripped as he guided it across the bed. It was odd, but he didn't mind playing the part of a nurse when she was actually being nice to him. Hearing her say thank you really helped his spirits. His mind drifted back to when he had walked in on her with little to no clothing on. for him it had been a bit of an experience. Everything from the kiss to her body... seemed distant, and seeing her with an honest smile made him smile back at her.

"And well this morning I was really just passing by to go to the pool when I heard a crash... im on the boys swim team so my schedule always has me come in that early... well until the women's swim team changes has the morning slot." He spoke softly and danced lightly around the issue of her being partly naked when it had happened, he doubted she needed or wanted to be reminded of that, but either way he was happy that he could finally see her smile.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Aesha was still a little doubtful of Ren’s sincerity, but she couldn’t keep treating him with suspicion forever. She wasn’t a complete idiot, so all she had to do was play along until Ren did something which would give her an excuse to start ignoring him… Though strangely enough, the thought that things would come down to that didn’t seem pleasant at all. She only intended to play along with Ren’s kind friendship act, but there was just something about Ren… maybe it was his personality, or maybe it was their common heritage, but either way, she couldn’t say she disliked having him around.

“An accident…. Right” she said, more to herself than Ren, nodding her head slowly to try and convince herself that it was possibly. Trying to ignore the dark flashes and snickering voices in her head that reminded her of years long past. Accepting the salad and chewing on it for a bit, she tipped her head and listened to his other excuse regarding the events that had unfolded that morning. Somewhat happy that Ren wasn’t going to dwell too much on her nakedness, or interrogate her in regards to why she’d spent the night at school, or been sleeping naked.

But one thing stuck out in her mind, and as Ren tried to feed her another mouthful, she kept her lips pursed in firm rejection for a second. A serious look in her eyes which were neither warm nor accusing. “And the kiss?” she mumbled staring at her lap and fidgeting nervously. Her eyes were lowered but her tail and ears where perked right up, intent on not missing a single word. “The kiss was an accident as well?” she asked a bit rudely.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren blinked seeing her reject the next bite of food, and then paused for a long moment thinking over what to say about the kiss. In an odd way she had seemed like she had wanted it. The feral look in her eyes had provoked a feeling that Ren had never felt before, and in a way it head called too him making his blood stir. He remembered faintly how electric it had all been, with her looking at him with a rather seductive glare. He looked at Aesha, slightly red remembering the feeling of the kiss when he had pressed his lips against hers.

The way the hairs on his body had stood up on end. from the feeling of her licking the blood from his wounds. Wounds she had inflicted. He didn't know how to phrase an answer, but the more he analyzed the moment the more he realized he did not regret his choice, nor did he really think it was unintentional. "W-was... it an accident when you started licking my blood?"

He said shifting the conversation towards the starting action of the kiss. His tail twitched from embarrassment. He did think that her question was rude, but at the same time he just let it slide, if he was really going to be this girls friend... then there had to be some common ground between them.

Aesha would have been lying if she said she thought she’d get a decent answer. But when Ren answered a question with one of his own, she felt a twinge of irritation. Especially since she thought Ren was indirectly referring to the fact that she’d scratched him. As far as she was concerned the licking of the wound had been completely natural, and not something worth taking note of.

“You deserved it” she pouted, not being very clear whether she was referring to the licking or the scratching. Aesha of course was referring to the latter, but Ren’s question had been the former, so by logic he’d probably interpret the response as Aesha saying that Ren deserved to have his injury licked. Most likely coming off as some sort of responsibility.

“Show me the wound again, and I’ll do it again if you weren’t satisfied…” she added, thinking Ren was complaining that she hadn’t shown enough sincerity the first time. There was no hiding that she was rather insulted that Ren would ignore the topic of their kiss, and start whining about the scratch. Actually it sort of hurt that Ren seemingly thought the latter was more important… which wasn’t quite true, but neither Ren or Aesha were mind readers, and both weren’t quite skilled in explaining things apparently.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren blinked he wasn't sure what she meant. In fact her reply only confused him, was it just a natural custom to lick the wounds you inflict on another person, and was she saying that she would willingly scratch him again if he presented his wrist too her. His head leaned slightly to the right in confusion, and he breathed maybe he should re word what he meant.

"No... what i mean was..." His ears twitched and his face flushed red. as his eyes adverted. He was now stuck trying to awkwardly explain the feeling he had back when she had licked his wound. With it all being so intense and the fist time he had ever felt such a rush, he didn't quite know how to explain it. "When you.. licked me, it was weird, the way you were looking at me it was..." He paused for a long time digging up some food which he held out for her to take.

his hand was shaking slightly from how nervous he was, he felt like if he didn't choose his words carefully then Aesha was just going to turn on him again, and then all of this would be for nothing. "I-it was.. exciting... I-i got washed away in the moment, and well... I don't regret it."

He said lightly unsure if he had just made his case worse or better, but he had said his thoughts on the kiss. "It felt odd. my tail and ears were on end, and my heart was pounding in my ears. It... was the most alive i have ever felt..."

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Pushing her irritation aside she tried to listen patiently to what Ren was saying. Frowning a bit with confusion when Ren said she was misunderstanding him yet again. She hadn’t realized it until now, but now that Ren seemed awfully bashful over the topic the realization slowly overcame Aesha until she blushed lightly and lowered her head. Suddenly extremely interested in the tray of food before her… though she didn’t reach out to take a bite, doubting she’d be able to transfer food without spilling it, or missing her mouth and making a fool of herself.

She peeked up at Ren once more, and noticing Ren offering her food once more…. Which she reluctantly took with her mouth, only to nearly cough it right back up when Ren admitted to not regretting it. Coughing a few times as the food went down the wrong way, she reached for the milk, but curled her fingers and pulled them away before reaching the glass, the voice of her friends suddenly echoing in her head.

Eventually she managed to swallow the food properly, a few tears on her lashes from the coughing fit, she glared angrily up at Ren for a second, before letting out a sigh. Scratching her left ear before placing the tray aside on the sidetable, and swinging her feet over the side of the bed, letting them dangle freely as she looked Ren straight in the eyes.

“So what you’re trying to say, is that you have a crush on me?” she asked, awfully calm.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren blinked as she asked that his ears dipped slightly in shame. A crush was the perfect word to describe it. Ever since he had met Aesha she had been on the front of his mind, and even though they constantly had some form of misunderstanding thoughts of the kiss, had only made her appear stronger in his mind. He didn't even know why, by all rights she had been down right cruel to him at most turns. Maybe he was a glutton for punishment though he doubted it, he had clear limits on how far he was willing to be pushed before he started pushing back, but so far Aesha had yet to get anywhere near them.

He swallowed lightly thinking about what to say to her moments must have passed as he stared at her eyes his ears twitching in embarrassed, his face flushed his tail twitching in agitation. Before he finally nutted up and said it. "Yes." He didn't even stutter on his reply he didn't know what was going to happen now. She had him on the defensive, but the flush did fade from his face as he admitted it.

just the act of saying yes, felt like he had a large weight lifted off of he dug up some food and took a bite out of the lunch he had been feeding to Aesha. remembering just how hungry he was as well. "Ever since we met it's been strange. I keep thinking about you and it's kind of distracting Aesha."

His voice dried up, for some reason he knew what came next would be painful. Rejection was the most likely event to take place he honestly couldn't see Aesha wanting him around, if anything part of him knew that she still viewed him as some kind of spy, and to her this would just be an attempt to 'get close'.... He didn't hold much hope, but he knew it would be painful.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Aesha’s surly mood seem to only get darker when Ren admitted to liking her. Her golden eyes flashing dangerously as she balled her fists until her knuckles went white. She knew that she didn’t stand a chance against Ren if the boy got physical, part of her nearly wished Ren had, as it would’ve hurt less than the humiliation she was being put through now. Her mind snapping as Ren began explaining himself.

“Distracting? Strange? Yeah I’ll agree, you’ve constantly been on my mind as well” she stated awfully coldly, her lips turning upwards slightly, but her eyes getting duller with each passing moment. It was almost as if she were looking right through Ren. “As much as I hate to admit it, I enjoyed our kiss, I was happy you came back to see me, I actually started liking you for a second…” her voice cracked, and her small smile burst into quiet laughter, her laugh much like that of an insane patient, before suddenly stopping.

“Get out.” She ordered curtly, lifting a hand and scrubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. “I said Get out!” she yelled emotionally, her dead eyes flaring up with anger, it was probably a good thing she’d set her food aside, as she would have undoubtedly hurled it at him if it was still on her lap.

“Do you really think I’m that stupid? Love at first sight? Is that what you’re telling me?” she shouted not caring if anyone in the hallway heard. “Oh that’s right, I probably am, I mean I nearly trusted you over something as simple as a free meal, must have been funny huh?” she continued, tears streaming down her face. She couldn’t believe how cruel Ren could be. He’d taken her first kiss, seen her naked, made a full of her in the school cafeteria, and it apparently wasn’t enough.

Running out of steam she tossed the sheet over her head, curling up into a white bundle, as she sobbed quietly. “I know I’m annoying, rude, stupid, and ugly. I’m not even human. But did you really think I’d believe someone could fall for someone like me? If you hate me so much, I’ll transfer out again. Everyone probably already knows I can’t stand water anyway, no thanks to you.” She whimpered pathetically, curling up. “I’ll make today my last day…. I promise not to bother you again…. So can you at least let me enjoy my last few hours here in peace?”

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren looked at the floor oh how he knew that was coming. Though the way she did it was heart breaking. Starting by telling him how she could have liked him, and then she turned around and hit him with harsh words. Harsher then he deserved, but this time he wouldn't stand for it. He put his trey to the side as he stood up his tail lashing in anger a low growl in his throat. His knuckles turned white as his eyes narrowed slightly his ears on end. "Your delusional!" He yelled right back at her. He had enough of her idea's that he was some kind of sick stalker.

"Stop twisting around my words! I never said I loved you, I said I have a crush on you there is a difference! Love is something you earn, and once again here I am trying oh so very hard to actually give you a chance, and trust me that isn't easy!" His voice was angry now as he let the passion flow from his body it felt so good to finally just shout and let everything out putting every single card he had on the table. "I am trying so hard too actually see the good in you, and yet here you are constantly telling me off, you collapse into my arms, i carry you to the nurses office. I stay with you till you wake up, you throw medical supplies at my face! I try to help you stand up after you fall down in your underwear, You claw my wrist open. I bring you food during lunch you guilt trip me for things ive never even done!"

Ren took a long breath notticing how wet his own eyes had become, and how stressed his throat was. He would end up shouting himself horse if he kept up that tone, so he bitterly chose his next words more carefully. "Your not the victim here, and you can't even see it. I never told anyone about your water problems, I was actually willing to help you get over it. I honestly did want to be your friend."

"Oh and about not being human. In case you didn't notice I have a tail and ears too! I am not exactly... one of them either." He paused for a moment looking down at his tail, his hands holding it carefully as he spoke. Most Neko's have problems fitting in with humans... Ren was no different, and saying that he wasn't human, hurt slightly for all that looked like he never did have many Neko friends, never grown up with any around. He searched the fur along his tail for a long moment before finding and holding onto a single area.

He sighed after saying all that he needed too say. His own heart pounding as he fell back into the chair ringing out his tail as he sat.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Aesha tensed up the moment she heard Ren retaliate, feeling all too vulnerable under the bedsheets, she hugged her arms tightly, wondering when the painful strike would come, but hearing Ren continue his emotional shouting, she couldn’t help but feel a bit relieved. She was by no means enjoying being yelled at, but hearing Ren yell at her so emotionally, and spew out the words of contempt assured her that there was still the possibility it wasn’t a lie. It had been something Aesha had been bothered with regarding Ren for as long as she knew him. Kind, patient and overly understanding, none of it made sense unless he was after something specific. A flicker of hope sparking in her mind as she considered the possibility that it indeed wasn’t some cruel joke.

Though that said, it was probably all too late now anyway. If there had been a crush of sorts prior to her verbal lash out, it was surely gone now. In all honesty Aesha couldn’t tell the difference between a crush and love. Both were forms of attraction, and Aesha honestly didn’t think she’d done anything to earn Ren’s attention. Another insecurity for her, as she felt uneasy getting unwarranted attention… attention which could once again only be described by Ren having ulterior motives.

She knew Ren was her kind. But a lot of male Neko’s sought out human partners and friends. Females did as well, but human females tended to be more accepting, and a neko’s status in the world could easily be elevated by marrying a human. As far as Aesha could tell, Ren had a handsome face, and a nice body. A figure she couldn’t quite imagine the human girls leaving alone. While as a sharp contrast, Aesha was short, and small-breasted, nothing like what most men would consider attractive. Aesha had been teased enough over the years to be certain that all men liked big breasted mature women with long skinny legs. None of which Aesha fit into. The mere idea that someone would have a crush on her was ludicrous. A cruel joke, that Aesha honestly couldn’t bring herself to believe.

Hearing Ren’s final words Aesha lay still for a few moments. Fully expecting him to storm off in a fit of rage. Only to hear the clatter of a seat that indicated Ren had sat down again. A few more seconds passed, and even then Ren showed no signs of leaving. Her curiosity once again peeking out and making her wonder what Ren wanted now. After all, he’d made it quite clear by saying in past tense that he ‘did want to be her friend.’ The comment making her think such intent had been destroyed already.

She knew it wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but slowly she lowered the bedsheet, rolling over to face Ren once more, she felt a pang of guilt when she noticed the moistened tears, but remained resilient, her proud nature preventing her from apologizing immediately. Instead she asked in a calm quiet voice “What’s in it for you?” she paused, and reclarified her question. “I never asked you to help me with any problem, didn’t ask you to get me lunch, and I didn’t ask you to be my friend….” She trailed off a bit at the end, slightly stung by her own comment. “Why are you doing things for me? Tell me honestly” she demanded, semi-expecting Ren to lose his temper once more.

RE: Hydrophobic Romance (east & Aise)

Ren rubbed his eyes for a moment his ears twitching his vocal cords relaxing slightly. He still held his tail breathing slightly as he sat back. His mind was anything but relaxed as he tried his best not to storm out. Then he saw her head poke out from the bed sheets. with most of her body covered she looked a bit like a gofer. and he let out a slow growl when she said she didn't ask for him to be her friend. Her question was reasonable, it was just how she worded it already he was physically and emotionally ragged and that just felt like she was kicking dirt into his face.

His low growl faded as she asked him why. He sighed did he have a reason? well there was the crush, but that wasn't why he had tried to be so kind to her. there were other reasons that he had for doing that, and now he was being put on trial for them. He sighed rubbing his eyes for a moment with the back of his hands. He had been more then patient, but she had broken that chance.

"Because you're a Neko like me." It was important too him. His ears twitched as he sighed now having to give out a small part of his own personal history. "I am around humans constantly, when I was young I went through a phase where I really wanted to be like them. I hid my tail wore a hat. Seeing you was really the first chance I had to make a connection with another Neko, but more than that." His grip on his tail tightened slightly here was where he looked extraordinarily stupid just by talking.

"I don't really have friends, I've never been on a date, and I can never find any common ground with women. The closest I have ever gotten were people who just wanted to have the cute neko athlete too show off. I thought maybe since you were a neko you would be different then them, and with the kiss..." He sighed wanting to not talk anymore, but rather just walk away from her. He had given her enough time already, why was he defending himself to her?

"And what's your excuse?" He bit back bitterly he was tired of playing the nice guy. He decided that he was done being defensive he had come here with the best of intentions, and instead he had her throw his words and kindness back into his face, it was time that she answered for some the pain she had caused him. "Do you just enjoy throwing people's good intentions back into their face? Do you like being alone and afraid? Or are you just honestly so judgmental that you don't care about the people around you? I came to you because I was worried, and thought maybe you would be a little different from the women in my past, but instead you have constantly twisted my words, and my intentions. So what do you have to say for yourself?"
