Isabelle decided that she wanted to take a quick stroll through the gardens before she got something to eat, and so she remembered the directions the maids had given her, and the way she'd gone there just the night before. Just as the sun was beginning to sink into the sky, the beauty made her way into the garden, trying to discern what kinds of flowers had once been planted there. She saw that she would have a lot of work to do to get the weeds out of the flower beds, and she would need to do much for the soil that hadn't been cared for, but she could turn this place around fairly easily given the right time and tools. She would have to move slowly, but it could be done.
She wondered if the prince had a favorite flower. He had given her the job to transform the palace into some place great again. Now that she thought of it, it was a rather daunting task, considering the way the outside of the castle looked to her when she first arrived. Then again, he had said she would have all the help and resources that she needed to help her. She could easily see herself taking advantage of that particular offer. There was a lot of work to do, but she felt as though she could handle it. But then, she had seen some ladies in the court last night...why was it that none of them had this job? Perhaps they had refused...what an awful thing! To refuse a request from the prince...perhaps that was why none of them left the castle, either.
She frowned as she continued to ponder these things, her feet carrying her deeper into the garden toward the statue she'd seen last night.
