The love of gods (rosita red and lila lupin)

Dionysus frowned. He doesn't like the sound of that at all. Perhaps she has a a bit of the gift of a seer to her. Maybe there is some truth to her being promised to Hades, which worries him even more. "Don't worry beautiful Dysis. I'll make sure Hades doesn't come for you." He gave her hands a reassuring squeeze.

"Obviously you can't die from getting to drunk if I don't will," the lord of death laughed, "and I can't drink myself so I have to have you amuse me."

"I believe you." She said though she knew that Hades had not only more power than Dionysus, but if a deal truly had been made then only Hades himself could break the agreement, and no one could make him do that.

Emesia proceeded to drink, continuing in idle conversation with the lord of the dead in a manner that very few could manage to do. She was giggling and at one point as she attempted to walk over to the where the newest jug of wine was sitting she practically fell on her face, choosing to just sit there and laugh at her own clumsiness, quite certain that she was far away from her sobriety at this point.

The wine god thinks that his best bet to keeping Dysis with him is involving his father. Zeus had always had a weakness for mortal woman after all. The only problem with that is Hades could easily get Hera on his side, and she fights dirty. She couldn't do to much she hasn't already done to him, but she can do plenty to harm Dysis. "I'll talk to my father. Surely he can help us. It's well known that he and Hades are not on the best of terms."

Hades rose to his feet to retrieve his now drunk seer from the floor when she fell and started giggling. "I think you've had quite enough lovely Emesia." He scooped her up in his arms easily and cradled her against his broad chest as he made his way to her chambers to tuck her into bed. Of course he would see to it that some water and a minor dose of opiates would be around to dull the pain of the hangover when she wakes later. As always he's carefully to tuck in on her side with a few pillows and cushions. Even though she can't die from alcohol poisoning unless he wills it that still doesn't mean such an event doesn't mean unpleasantness for her.

Emesia giggled as Hades picked her up, wrapping her lithe arms around his neck and pressing her body close to his. "Oh Hades, you have no idea what you do to me." She whispered in his ear, once again trying to coax him into to taking what she already considered his. She would certainly be thankful in the morning that Hades favored her, because very few were allowed to address him without formality, and even Emesia only did so when drunk. As he laid her on her bed and tucked her into the black sheets, she pulled him down to her and kissed him, as she had done many a time before in this state, wrapping her fingers in that beautiful coal black hair. She was very thankful that he let her get away with so much, because in as long as she had known him, no other woman had been allowed to be so forward with him.

Dysis nodded, though she doubted there was much Zeus could do to rectify this problem, she was not opposed to trying. She brought Dion's hands to her lips and kissed them ever so gently as a sign of thanks. "You have my undying gratitude, Lord Dionysus." She whispered with a small smile of her face. The god obviously loved her if he was willing to oppose Hades to try and keep her.

Hades had heard such things from his drunken seer many times. He knows exactly what he does to her: what she doesn't know is what she does to him in return. He gave her a kiss back before moving to untangle her fingers from his hair. He sat besides her in his huge bed and gave her another kiss to her jaw before starting to rub her back. "Sleep it off Emesia. You'll feel better after a bit of rest after amusing your silly master."

"Come, we should probably find your father before someone suspects that we're up to something in here. Otherwise your father won't let me anyone near you." He didn't have to say that would make asking for her hand in the first place much more difficult. Taking her hands he helped her to her feet.

Emesia complied as she snuggled closer to where Hades was, almost involuntarily, and closed her eyes. "One day, you will be the death of me." She said with a small laugh, she knew the irony, and hilarity of her statement. She slowly drifted off, praying silently that Hades never grow tired of her. She would be sure to check her smoke once she awoke to see her master's triumph, but for now she needed to rest.

Dysis followed willingly as they went to seek out her father. When they found him he seemed a bit more distraught than he had when he first left them, but he smiled as his beloved daughter, and the man she had obviously taken an interest in approached him.

The god simply shook her head at her words. She can rest easy for now knowing that he has yet to grow tired of her, and for the foreseeable future (he's aware of the irony of that as well) she would stay in her place by his side. Once he knows she's solidly asleep he leaves her chamber to attend to other things.

"Is there anything I can do to help Lord Marcos? Though i bit far from home I'll help anyway I can during these hard times," Dionysus offers softly.

"Thank you for your kindness, Lord Dion." Marcos said as he gave a polite nod and embraced his daughter. He was certain that there had been something that Dion had wanted though, because he had come long before the news of his mother's passing could have traveled outside of his household. "Lord Dion, was there something you needed?" Marcos asked, giving an inquisitive look as his daughter moved to stand at her father's side.

The young lord cleared his throat, appearing abashed about the timing. "Actually there is, but the timing is a bit off." He blushed a bit more. "Lord Marcos of Athens, I came to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage, but with the events of today I'll understand if you say no."

"As off as it is there is no way you could have known what would happen." Marcos said quite unaware that he was speaking to a god, and one he worshiped quite regularly. Marcos was glad that at least something happy would take place today. "And I would gladly give it to you. Though it may be in the best interest of things to wait a few days before the announcement is made. My mother would turn in her grave if she were to know my daughter had been promised to a man on the day of her death." He said, though he really didn't care what his mother would have thought, but he did need to show the appropriate emotion for the occasion.

"That is true, but still I wish events had been different. I will make sure her heart is always filled with love and she will want for nothing Lord Marcos. If I must wait a few days that is nothing to be with her." He looked at Dysis with complete love in his eyes. What he doesn't say is that Dysis could be in severe danger. Though Dionysus doesn't want Marcos to know that his daughter could have the attention of two gods unless it's necessary.

Dysis was thankful that her father had agreed to let her marry Dionysus, and she thought that perhaps they may just yet have peace. Perhaps the agreement was false, and even if it wasn't if they consummated their marriage before she was retrieved then Hades would have to have words with Aphrodite before he could ever lay a hand on her.

Emesia had just woken from her drink induced slumber and silently cursed to herself for having yet again failing to seduce her master. She soon put such thoughts out of her mind as she conjured her smoke to her to search for the young woman that had been promised to her master. It seemed as though the young woman's father had agreed to give his daughter's hand to Dionysus, though she was certain that the poor human had no idea that the kind and gentlemanly lord standing before him was the childish, lecherous drunk of a god, Dionysus. Emesia herself had never had a high opinion of Dionysus, and it had fallen even more so now that he was seeking to snatch away that which belonged to her master. Upon seeing that Hades had yet to make his move she got out of hid bed with a yawn and set off in search of him.

Dionysus cleared his throat. If they're going to be wed and subquently united in body and mind, he might want to be a bit closer. At least that would serve as a good reason which would allow him to stay close to Dysis to protect her. "With the recent events, I understand if you're short on space Lord Marcos, but do you have any room in your villa? I have only a few servants with me, and we're currently staying in an inn not far from here."

The master of the underworld had retreated out to a patio over looking the river Styx. "Did you sleep well Emesia? I take it you peered into the smoke again and am wondering what I'm doing still down here?" The smirk on his face carried into his voice. "You're right my lovely Emesia, I'm going to crush my oh so beloved nephew by snagging his love right out from under him on the day he goes to make her his."

"Oh it is of no worry. I will make quite certain that you and your servants are taken care of. After all, if you are to marry my daughter then you shouldn't dare have to stay at the inn. It would be nice to have some more cheerful company around as well." Marcos said as he instructed a few servants to prepare a room for lord Dion and make space in the servants quarters for the few servants he had brought along.

Emesia smiled as she approached Hades from behind. As she came to him she gently wrapped those arms that appeared to be so delicate despite the deception they played. "You are in a rather wicked mood aren't you, Lord Hades?" She asked as she released her hold around his waist so that she might maneuver herself in front of him. "It could make any woman melt." She said before standing on her tip toes and kissing her master rather gently on the lips. "And I slept quite well, M'lord, thankyou for your concern."

"I'll certainly see to it that the cheerful company is provided. The god of wine would certainly see to it that this funeral has the best tasting wine. While he waits for his room to be prepared Dionysus took Dysis under his arm again. "Show me your home beautiful Dysis. Tell me your all your favorite places here." He hopes others would simply take it as him trying to get comfort her with the death of her grandmother.

"How could you tell Emesia? The thought of a good chase always gets me excited." In more ways than one, it turns out. "That would be the goal," Hades chuckled to her melting comment. "I've looked after you all this time. Why should I change now?"

(Should we do a time skip?)

Dysis smiled at Dionysus and began to lead him gently by the hand around the villa. Showing him all of her favorite places, and least favorite places, telling him wonderful stories of her child hood and the many things that had happened within the walls of this villa.

"Ah your will is as strong as ever I see, My Lord." Emesia said with a chuckle. It never hurt for her to try, the most he would really do is turn down her advances, and that had never stopper her before. She was sure she would need to hold back on her teasing and flirtatious actions once he claimed his prize, so she was just being sure to have as much fun as she possibly could before she was forced to stop.

It's true, when Hades lays claim to Dysis he will be a bit preoccupied and Emesia might have to remind him to give her a bit of attention as well. "I know one thing that I can give Dysis that my wretch of a nephew can't. He can't give her eternal youth. Without it she will age and die, if she makes it to die of old age, and I'll have her anyway." However Hades isn't willing to wait that long.

That night Lord Dion didn't sleep in the room he had been given. He slipped back into Dysis' room and laid on the bed with her and held her close. "Stay with someone as best as possible Dysis. Hades will not come to take you where someone can raise a fuss. He is however quite crafty, so we'll need to think of things that only those closet to you would know. A few things would be good actually."

Emesia smiled at her master's words. It was true, Hades did have the power to grant eternal youth, just as he had done for her. Emesia smiled as she turned her back towards Hades, looking at him from over her shoulder as she spoke. "Shall we have a look at our new favorite couple?" She asked before turning her head forward to focus her powers and call the smoke. She had a wicked smirk on her face at the very thought that her supervision of the two love birds could very well be their downfall. After the smoke had gathered Emesia whispered for the smoke to show her Dysis. In the center of the smoke one could clearly see Dysis and Dionysus laying on the young girl's bed, and hear the two of them talking about some way to fool Hades, or perhaps nullify the possible arrangement. "Oh humans can be so foolish sometimes, especially to think that you would play fair." Emesia said with a giggle.

Dysis sighed as she listened to Dionysus. She was rather tired from the days events and she didn't really want to think and conspire against the lord of death when she could be sleeping, but she knew that it was necessary if they were to eve be together. "My mother once gave me a comb that was very precious to her, but when I was out playing with my cousin Amodir our rather selfish cousin Laeva stole it from me, but I told my mother that I had lost it, because I knew that no one besides Amodir and my mother and father would believe me." She said as she continued to try and think of other things that not many people would know.

"Of course. Must you ask Emesia?" Hades followed her to the throne room and waited for her to conjure the smoke. He leaned back amused as he watched and listened to the couple cuddle and speak to each other. "I am Death personified, I always win in the end." He gave a smirk in Emesia's direction. "Sometimes I think you would make a good queen of the underworld," the lord of the dead thinks out loud. Of course that raises the issue of consummation.

Dionysus nodded. "It's a start." He brought a hand up to stroke her lovely locks of hair. "I think that's enough for tonight. It has been along day already. Some sleep will do you good my beautiful Dysis."

"Well if you didn't hold such stock in that superstition then perhaps I could be." She said as she quite casually walked over to the throne and sat on Hades lap. She knew that at the moment she was perhaps the only person that could get away with this action and even she prepared herself just in case he reprimanded her. It wasn't as though she were sitting in the throne itself, just in the lap of her master. She watched as the young woman fell asleep in the arms of that pompous little brat and smiled to herself, knowing that nothing he could do would truly save the woman from Hades grasp. For the next few months, throughout the planning of the wedding and the plotting against Hades, Emesia kept her ever watchful eye on the young couple. The day to the wedding was growing ever closer and the hour in which her master would make his move was very close at hand.

That got his attention. He stared at his seer as came over and perched herself in his lap like cat would. "What do you meant but that seer," he snapped, knowing there is something that she's not telling him.

Both Dionysus and Hades eagerly wait for the wedding day to arrive. Hades had thought several plans to snatch Dysis right from under Dionysus nose. A smirk is on his face as he holds up a glass vial to examine the contents. "Your are sure the visions in the smoke haven't changed? It's key that no one knows that you've taken the maid's appearance before this takes effect." He tinged the vile, which produced a high, clear sounding note. Her instructions are to make sure that Dysis in some form gets the liquid within. He knows that sending Emesia into the bright above world isn't her favorite thing, but he would make she is very, very richly rewarded when he has his prize in hand.

Dionysus is ready to have to quit worrying about his uncle stealing away the woman he loves, but he isn't going to let his guard down just yet. He knows very well that Hades can be utterly ruthless in pursuit of something he wants, especially when he had been bored for a while. And since it had been a few decades since the Trojan war, he's guessing that the god of death had been quite bored. He sighed as he laid his head in Dysis' lap. "I wish I could make the days go faster."

"I'm absolutely positive, she, and no one else, will know that I am not her maid." She said as she finished preparing herself. She looked nothing like herself at the moment, having used fine powders to give her skin a healthy, lively look to it, and her hair was hidden underneath beautiful blonde hair. She had the very appearance of Dysis' closest friend, and maid. "I look foolish like this, m'lord, and far from myself." She said as she placed a small necklace around her neck, resembling the one that the maid had been given by Dysis herself, which then masked her very voice. If you'll excuse me, M'lord, the lady must be attended to." She said as she gently grabbed the vial from Hades hands. Oh he would owe her big time for this, of that she was certain. It shouldn't be that hard for her to approach Dysis either because Dysis' father had set a rule in place stating that Dion was to keep away from Dysis until the day of their wedding for the next week. Now Emesia knew that Dionysus was faltering from that rule, but that meant that Dysis took all of her meals in her room, which would make it easier to slip her the contents of the vial.

Emesia made her way to the world above allowing her eyes to adjust to the light before making her way to Dysis' room. standing by the door for a second to listen to their conversation before placing a knock upon the door.

Hades looked over his servant with approval as she took the vial from his hands. He would give her a kiss as apart of her reward but it might ruin her facial make up. The master of the underworld thinks she'll like the reward he has in mind for her very, very much.

Dionysus had taken his usually position on the bed resting next to Dysis. However he had worked a simple spell so that he's only visible to her. However he can still be heard when speaking. He fell silent when he heard the knock on her door.

"Dionysus, you should leave. Spell or not you know how my father will feel if he ever finds out." Dysis whispered to him so that only he could hear her. She was always the one to follow her father's rules though and had tried to urge him to stop his visits for the past week, but all her requests were denied thus far.

Dionysus gave a quiet sigh in return to her whisper. "He would be a bit more shocked to find out how I got in here." He had simply willed himself into her chambers, bypassing all the servants Marcos had set to keep on an eye on him and Dysis. He gave her one last kiss before vanishing from the room.
