The love of gods (rosita red and lila lupin)

RE: The love of gods

Dysis saw the log up ahead and the branch that was just within reach if she placed her jump just right. She wasn't sure how much longer she could last if she kept running, because he didn't seem to be tiring out even just a little. She made the decision to take her last resort. As she neared the log she jumped on top of it, and then used her momentum to launch herself onto the branch hanging over head. She pulled herself up and continued to repeat this action quite a few times until she was sure she was up high enough to at least tire him out a little before he could get to her, or at least this was what she hoped. She smiled at him from her perch up above.

"And what will you do now, my lord. Will you admit your defeat now?" She asked with a smile as she held on to the tree swinging her feet lightly with a radiant smile on her face. She was certainly resourceful, and it could never be said that the girl wasn't determined. If he could catch her now she was willing to admit defeat, because he would have most certainly earned it.

RE: The love of gods

Dionysus is far enough behind her that he can slow his momentum so that he doesn't go jumping over the log himself. He is quite impressed by climbing abilities. He stands close to the log, watching her climb up the tree for a couple branches before bounding after her. He perches on a branch a few below hers. "Somehow I don't think it would be wise for me to clamber up there with you. We do not want a branch to break and us to fall." Dionysus way of saying that he had lost without saying he had lost.

Slowly he starts climbing back down. When he reaches the ground he looks up to be able to spot for Dysis.

RE: The love of gods

"Are you admitting defeat, or beckoning me to allow you to claim your prize?" She questioned with a smile as she slowly lowered herself from one branh to the next until she was at a branch just barely overhead of Dion. Dysis couldn't help but smile as she got the idea to jump down, into Dion's arms, but she wasn't entirely sure if he would catch her or not. "I do believe that to claim your prize you have to catch me, do you not?" She asked as she made up her mind to go through with her plan. She smiled gently at Dion before gracefully jumping down, at just the perfect spot where he could let her land on her own, or catch her and bring him to her if he so desired.

RE: The love of gods

"Neither. I am making sure that you don't break your neck. That would be most tragic. Your father would drive me out of town in shame." The wine god watches Dysis as something seems to cross her mind. She's low enough that jumping won't hurt her all that much. But there is no fun in that. Like an eagle snatching up his prey Dionysus wraps her into his strong but very gentle arms. "Gotcha. I suppose that counts as a draw? I get my kiss and you get your dance?" His eyes are shining with merriment and excitement.

RE: The love of gods

Dysis raised her delicate hands to Dion's face and brought her lips to his. "If that's what you wish to call it. I really can't disagree with you there." She said after pulling back with a mischievous smile on her lips. She couldn't help but get a bit of a sparkle in her eyes as she thought of the dance that she would eventually get with him, but she did have a question for Dion that she'd been holding back until she was alone with him. "So answer me this Dion. Who are you really?" She said with a straight face as she removed herself from Dion's grip and took a few steps back from him. "I did some research with the help of my father, and apparently no one in Athens had ever heard of you?" She asked with an inquisitive look on her face.

RE: The love of gods

Her touch felt like magic on his face. Dysis lips felt as soft as silk. It seems all to fast that she moves away from him. Dionysus tips his head when she asks who he really is. He looks mildly disappointed that she had moved away from him. "I am Lord Dion, of Larissa. My mother was a priestress of Dionysus and my father a wealthy lord that favored traveling before he settled for a bit and fathered me." Which is true, Zeus had seen fit to give Semele a villa and surrounding farm land in order to live. Even though Semele had died before his birth the villa had never been sold. When Dionysus isn't traveling or in the heavens with the other gods he spends his time there as Dion.

RE: The love of gods

"For some reason I have a sinking suspicion that you aren't being completely honest with me, but I think I'll let it slide... for now." She said with a gentle smile as she made her way past him, her arm brushing lightly against his as she did so. "Should we head back?" She said as she turned to look at him, waiting to see if he would follow after her. She had every intention of eventually getting the truth from Dion before she let their relationship go too far. Right now she wasn't too terribly worried about it. She was enjoying his company away from the ever watchful eye of her father and the hateful gaze of her grandmother. With Dion she was simply Dysis. She wasn't expected to be amazing, and she didn't have to worry about being treated horribly. With Dion she felt like a normal person for once in her life. She was completely unaware that that was going to change for her very very soon.

RE: The love of gods

"Maybe, maybe not," Dionysus answered smoothly. He smiled again when Dysis brushed against his arm. "I suppose," he says as he takes off after her. "Your father has probably noticed that you have wondered off by now. And I do belief I owe you a dance, unless you want to wait to claim that for the next gathering, oh lovely Dysis."

But Dionysus would see her before the next gathering. When the adrenaline wears off and sleep over takes her, he would visit her in her bed chamber. There he would reveal his god hood to her.

RE: The love of gods

"Perhaps we should wait until the next gathering. I do look forward to seeing you again though,, Lord Dion." She said with a smile as they finally made their way back to the group of people still worshiping. They stayed with the group for the rest of the duration of the gathering before her father informed her that it was time to return home. She said her goodbyes and followed her father home, with a small smile on her lips, completely unaware of the immense change that would soon come to her within the next few days. That night she slept deeply, unaware that her troubles with her grandmother would soon be over for the most part, only for new troubles to arise in their place.

RE: The love of gods

Doors and walls don't mean much to a god. He comes into Dysis' bedchamber after she had been asleep for about forty five minutes he sneaks into her room. He sits on the edge of her bed. Gently he starts to stroke Dysis' hair with one hand. After a couple minutes of doing that he leans to place a kiss on here lips. "Oh beautiful Dysis, I am not just Lord Dion. I am Dionysus of Olympus." He gives her another kiss, almost addicted to the touch of her lips.

RE: The love of gods

It was rather unfortunate, or perhaps it was fortunate that Dysis was a rather light sleeper. His kiss was what woke her, but she pretended to be asleep that is until she heard his words and felt his kiss again. She reached a hand into his hair to keep him there for a bit, as her other hand gently caressed his face. When she finally allowed him to pull back she opened her eyes and smiled. "I told you I'd find out eventually." She couldn't help but feel a bit odd though knowing that Dionysus, the very god she worshiped, the very god that she danced for, was the very man that had been so wonderfully seductive towards her through out the night and the month before. "Why me, my lord Dionysus?" She asked, honestly wishing to know the truth.

RE: The love of gods

Well, her waking up is a pleasant surprise."There is something enchanting, something addictive about you. Maybe you have something un-human about you." With her mother being a former slave, it's possible that she has dryad or nyad in her blood line.

A darker spot of shadows moved along the walls of the villa. He is attracted by death, which is close by. On the bed in the room he materials into is an old woman, her breath labored and spaced apart. Her fingers and toes had started to turn black and blue. "Do not fight it, it is your time to cross the river Styx," Hades says into the mostly empty room.

RE: The love of gods

"Perhaps so, but I never would have thought that I'd attract a god to my bed, no less the one I worship so diligently." Dysis said as she placed a hand gently on his cheek as she began to sit up while he pulled away ever so slightly. Suddenly she felt as though something wasn't right, as though something dark had entered. the house but she tried to push it to the back of her mind as she beckoned Dionysus to sit next to her, unaware of what her grandmother was doing in the next room.

"I will gladly except my fate, Lord Hades, but I have one request of you. I have been a faithful servant to you and your order my entire life, and I ask that my granddaughter be taken from this place. She was to be promised to you but her father has foolishly let her worship Dionysus and now I suspect that the inferior god has been trying to sneak his claws into her, perhaps even in this very moment. I merely ask that you take what was promised to you, Lord Hades, after my breath departs from my body." She said as she took her last few breaths and with a rather wicked smile on her face let go of the last threads of life that kept her soul tied to her body. She died knowing that Hades would not stand for something that was to be his to be taken away and she would get her vengeance on that ungrateful little wench.

RE: The love of gods

He sat up a bit so that he wasn't at such an awkward angle to speak with her. Dionysus felt it to, the heavy sense of dread and darkness that could only mean one thing: his uncle Hades had come into the villa. Trying his best not to show it the young god took a seat besides her in the bed. "I will pay any bride price your father sets for you. He will know that his only daughter will be loved and want for nothing in her life, if she will have me," Dionysus finished. He picked up one of her hands from under her blankets and placed a light kiss on it.

The lord of the dead listened as the old woman spoke. He had indeed paid attention her years of service, she being the few that willingly dedicate themselves to him and him alone. He had seen how Dysis had grown into such a lovely woman as well... And one that had not yet been bedded by a man. If she had been promised to him as an infant then there would be way to challenge him for her. Hades felt excitement and arousal stir through his body at the thought of her under him, her naive womanhood his for the taking, her dark hair spread out over the cushions of his bed and the sounds of her moans in his ears as he shows her how a man should be with a woman. Vanishing from the house the lord of death retreated to the underworld to plan how to snatch her and claim what's rightfully his.

"I will gladly have you my lord, though I find it odd that a god such as your self would choose the daughter of a slave as a bride." She as she kissed him ever so gently. She was still a pure maiden, untouched by another man, which was odd as a worshiper of Dionysus. She had a sinking feeling though that something horrible was going to happen, but she smiled and did her best to give the god before her no reason to doubt her resolve to be with him. She felt a bit unsettled as though no matter how hard they tried something was going to keep them apart, and that her wretched grandmother had something to do with the whole ordeal, she certainly hoped that when she woke the next morning that the feeling would have melted away and peace would find the household.

Dionysus shrugged. "The societal state of your mother doesn't matter to me. He looked at her happily as she kissed him. "I'll go before your father tomorrow and ask him about your bride price. It will not take long to get everything he wants to satisfy it. And then we shall be together beautiful Dysis." He brought a hand up to stroke her hair to try to help her relax.

"Thankyou, my lord." She said as she leaned into his touch. She was very thankful for the chance to be given some form of peace. She was thankful for the chance to escape from her grandmother's control, and it seemed as though the stories her grandmother had told her about promising her to Hades were merely stories after all. She was rather thankful for that as well. "I will rest then, knowing that in the morning you will come for my hand." She said with a smile unaware of the unseen force that was keeping watch over her.

Emesia sighed as she waved her hand through the smoke that was showing her the images of Dysis, and that little brat Dionysus. Humans never seemed to understand that simply telling someone that you'd promised them to a god didn't mean they believed you, especially if you were as hateful as this young woman's grandmother had been. She sighed as she walked towards the throne room where she knew she was most likely to find her lord Hades. Emesia was a seer, she had been born with the power to look upon the timeline, and often used this ability to gaze upon certain people at the request of her master. When she was still a mere maiden, only 19 years of age, Hades had laid eyes upon her while coming to lead her dearly beloved father into the afterlife. Emesia noticed the way he looked at her, her skin as pale as though death had already given her it's kiss, eyes a steely blue color, and hair as black as coals. She knew that perhaps if he knew of her power, and she offered him a deal she could bargain for her father's life. Hades had graciously accepted the beautiful maiden's offer, and he treated her kindly. She had been living under Hades carefully placed protection for two centuries now and her father had since passed of old age, but instead of choosing to return to the human world and live out a natural life she willingly devoted herself to Hades, staying as his personal seer until he deemed her no longer useful. Hades, always one to reward those faithful to him blessed her with an eternal youth that would only end if she betrayed him or was released from his servitude.

"My Lord, I have some disconcerting news." Emesia said when she entered Hades' throne room. She kneeled before him after she was about 5 feet away from his throne, bowing her head in respect. "It seems as though Dionysus is planning on making an offering to the father of the young maiden Dysis in the morning. It seems that the girl was never made to fully understand that she was yours." She said preparing herself for the worst. Hades was a very, very attractive god, despite what some might thin, but he could have a bit of a temper on him, especially if something that he thought belonged to him was being taken away. Unfortunately, anyone that stood in the way of him getting what he wanted, or in the nearby vicinity seemed to receive the brunt of his anger.

"I'll stay with you until the first servants come to get you ready for the day. But your father must not know that Dion is more than a nick name." He gave a long, tender kiss to her brow. "Until then sleep well and dream of me Dysis.

Hades impatiently tapped his fingers on the dark marble of his throne as Emesia looks into the smoke for him. No doubt that he thinks Emesia is beautiful, unlike most men who would find her naturally unappealing because of her skin and steel eyes. He watches silently as she comes to rest before him. His mouth tightened into a scowl. "No matter. Not even Zeus can deny me her since she was promised to me." All he has to do is take possesion of her before Dionysus consummates their marriage. It had been so long since Hades had bedded a woman. He would never bed Emesia for fear of her losing her second sight.

(Sadly I can't seem to see the picture the link won't work for me.)

"While that is very true my lord would it not be more satisfying to take the girl right out from under his insolent little nose?" Emesia said as she drew close to her dearly beloved master. Emesia had grown quite fond of her lord Hades, though she knew he would never dare to bed her, but he had often allowed, and seemed to prefer that she stay in a close proximity to him. She had felt the kiss of the very god of death many a time, but Hades had never chanced more than that, for fear that she would lose her powers. She knew exactly how silly, superstitious, and false that idea was, but she also knew exactly how dangerous it was to tell Hades he was wrong. She draped herself over the side of the throne, leaning in just enough to whisper in his ear. "Imagine the look of utter terror on his face when you snatch away the one thing he wants most, and not even his high and mighty father Zeus can take her back for him." Emesia was very skilled at saying anything that might please her master, and she always seemed to do so by saying these things in a seductive tone while in very close proximity to Hades. After all, she would rather be on the end of Hades' passion, or desire, than at the end of his wrath.

Dysis did dream of Dionysus, but for some reason she also dreamed of the very god of death coming to claim her, to take her away, and her grandmother laughing the entire time as though she'd gotten some sort of vengeance on her. Dysis awoke to a servant knocking on her door, and true to his word Dionysus was gone when they came. The servants told her how her grandmother had passed away in the night and how they had found her with a wicked grin on her face when they had come to wake her that morning. Dysis was beginning to feel some form of unease at the news. What if he dream was real, what if it came true. Though she did her best to push the thought from her mind and continue on with her day in the excitement that Dionysus was coming to ask for her hand later that day.

"What do you think I plan on doing my dear Emesia? The boy is much to spoiled as it is." Emesia should count herself lucky: there's not to many people he would allow to live after getting close to his throne like that if they aren't already dead. He'll be damned himself if she doesn't know how to hold his interest. The lord of death moved so that he could sling an arm around his faithful servant. "When was the last time I told you you're my most favorite servant my dear Emesia? Since you foresaw the battle that killed Achilles?" In Hades mind it's really to bad that Emesia is off limits: she would make one queen of the underworld beside him.

A servant stops Lord Dion at the gate when he comes riding up on a fine specimen of a horse. Of course Dion shows the proper emotion for the loss of a loved one, and asks to be able to meet with Dysis and Marcos to be able to give his condolences in person. It's hard to hide his excitement to see Dysis again, even with the circumstances.

(Could finally see the picture, and I love it.)

"I do believe you're right, my dear lord Hades." She said as she placed a gentle kiss on his cheek, a sign of her affection and her devotion to him. Sometimes she wished it weren't so dangerous to inform him that he was wrong about her losing her foresight, but on top of telling him that he was wrong the very reason she knew would undoubtedly anger him even further. She would rather go unsatisfied for an eternity than dare to anger the god she cherished so dearly. "I will most certainly keep watch so that I may forever remember your triumph over the little brat." She whispered in his ear. Even after 200 years she still enjoyed the playful banter between the two of them, after all, she was his favorite for a reason.

Dysis waited patiently and was rather excited when she and her father were informed of Dion's arrival, though she did not let any of the others see it. She did everything in her power to feign sadness for the loss of her rather hateful grandmother, but she as best she could and no one really seemed to fault her for it, especially after all the horrible things that that women had put her through.

She's not the only one that goes unsatisfied. If only she knew about the times he had laid awake in his chambers fully aroused and unable to get her beautiful form off his mind... "As usual you will be richly rewarded when my victory is achieved. But for now I think some wine is order." He always finds it amusing when she drinks to much and he has to carry her to her bedchamber.

It seems like forever before Dion is showed to the private chambers of Marcos and Dysis. Of course Dion makes his introductions and his condolences to Marcos.

Clearly it had been a rough day for the head of the household. Marcos welcomed Dion as best as possible. He's a bit surprised when Dion mentions that he had already met Dysis at a gathering. Actually, he had met her twice before.

A servant came and called Marcos away to attend to an urgent matter. Only after making sure they're completely alone does Dionysus approach Dysis. Kneeling before her he took her hands again. "You're free from her my love. As soon as I am able I will ask your father for your hand in marriage."

"Your happiness is reward enough, M'lord." Emesia said as she gave a melodious laugh as some of the lower servants brought them a jug of wine and two goblets. Emesia's words were not just something she said to please her master, they were full of truth, though that had never stopped Hades from rewarding her as he saw fit. At the moment though he seemed more interested in entertaining himself by getting her drunk. She had determined from moments like these that Hades had a will of fucking steel, because she had lost count of the numerous times she had tried to seduce him after having a bit too much wine.

"Hopefully it will be soon. I would not be surprised if my grandmother found one last way to ruin my life from beyond the grave." She said as she sat there with her dream still at the forefront of her mind. She was excited to have Dion there with her, but that did not stop her from worrying about what underhanded trick her grandmother might have had up her now dead sleeve.

Dionysus frowned, picking up on her worry. "Is something troubling you my love? We'll find a way to get around anything your grandmother could have done before she passed into the realm of Hades."

Hades grinned as he took a goblet from the tray offered from the lower servant who kept their eyes downcast as they serve the lord of death and his favorite lady. "Bring the lady's favorite cushion and stool as well." It would make it a bit more comfortable for her drink besides the throne instead of hanging out on the arm of the throne. Along with her comfort it also allows her to stay close to him.

"I had a horrible dream last night. A dream that Hades himself had come to claim me as his. That he snatched me away from you and my grandmother was just standing there laughing at me as though she had just won some sort of game." She said as she grasped his hands a bit tighter.

Emesia sat once her stool, and cushion were brought to her, allowing her to stay close to her treasured Hades as she drank herself silly for his amusement. "I will never understand why you find this so entertaining." She said as she took her first drink from her goblet.
