She jumped at the sound of his voice, freezing in place. She didn't even try to struggle as he pulled her away from the door, knowing it wouldn't help. Instead, she simply went limp in his arms. Did she like being punished? Did he like having needles shoved in his eyes? Of course not. Fuck no, she didn't like being punished. Though she was thinking that, she certainly didn't say that to him, fearing what he would do. Never before had she been scared of Dan, but now she was terrified. "No.." she said quietly, her eyes tearing up. "I don't want you to be upset.. I don't want pain. I just want us to be happy." she told him. "I want to make you happy." she said truthfully. She really did. He meant so much to her, and she couldn't risk losing him. Though she was scared, part of her was willing to go through with this. If this was what was going to make him happy, then what other choice did she have?

"I.. I'll listen to you. I promise." she said after a moment. The hesitation was obvious in her voice. She was definitely skeptical, but she had to agree to it. If she didn't, he might not want her. She just couldn't have that. "But please.. can you just, maybe go easy on me? At first? I don't understand this.. at all." She hoped her question wouldn't make him angry. Desperately, she wanted to please him, but this was so new to her.
 
Dan saw the tears, but they didn't move him. He felt the honesty when she said she wanted to make him happy. He wasn't sure about her promise to listen though. Then she made her request. A smile slowly formed on his face. "That is up to you. I will go easy on you all the time if you simply follow my instructions and do what I ask you to do. It is your choice. If you think about it, in a way you are in charge. Only you're not. I get the final say. Now, why don't we watch a movie before lunch. Because I believe that you really want to make me happy I'll let you pick what we watch and what we eat for lunch. You're making it though." He turned and picked up the remote for the tv. He took a seat on the couch next to her and pressed the power button. He sat back and relaxed, waiting for her to choose a movie for them to watch.
 
"Ok.." she said quietly. She could manage that, right? She hoped. As long as she listened, she could keep him happy, and then maybe things would be like they were before. She just hoped he wouldn't ask her to do anything terribly out of her element. Even though she had promised, she knew there were times when she would be reluctant, but she needed him to believe her for her own sake. After a moment, Jayde picked a horror movie. They had always used to watch those together when they first started dating. She hoped that by picking it she could feel comfortable with him again. After picking the movie, she scooted a little closer to him, trying to find comfort in his touch.
 
Dan felt a little surprised when Jayde picked a horror film. He knew they had watched them before, but things weren't exactly the same. He didn't mind at all though. He smiled as she slid in close. At least she wasn't afraid of being close to him. That wasa relief. He felt as if she might actually start obeying him. He wrapped an arm around her loosely and settled in to watch the movie. It got started and it felt like one of their early dates. Dan enjoyed the time spent together. He wasn't sure how Jayde was feeling, but he didn't worry about it. For the time that they spent watching the movie he was tender again, not demanding anything and letting her do whatever she wanted as long as she was still with him.
 
At first, things felt tense, but after a few minutes she seemed to relax, laying her head on his shoulder as she cuddled up close to him. Soon, everything felt normal again. Truthfully, she didn't want it to end. Even though she had told herself she would give this all a try, she was nervous. She knew that they were going to butt heads even if she tried her hardest, and she wasn't sure how prepared she was for that. Either way, there was no escaping it at this point.
 
Dan was happy as Jayde relaxed more. It made him feel confident that eventually she would learn and be good for him. It didn't seem like she would leave him even though she was scared by what was happening. That made him even more sure of what he was doing. He was able to fully enjoy the movie. As it came to an end he smiled and sat up. "That was nice. Good choice. So, what will we be having for lunch? There should be plenty of options in the fridge and the cupboards. I know you will make something good." He leaned in and kissed her cheek before removing his arm from around her.
