Jayde whimpered as he began to rub her tender flesh, the skin still stinging from where he had hit her so many times. Did he finally realize what he had done? She looked up at him as he put her down, her cheeks stained with tears. She flinched at his touch, biting her tongue as she listened to him speak. Unable to talk without saying something that would anger him, she simply nodded, standing up and walking over to the sink. She continued to cry silently as she washed the dishes, tears streaming down her face. What had changed? How could he become an entirely different person so quickly? She wanted to please him, she truly did, but the way he had acted scared her. She had heard of people who were in to this kind of thing, but she had no idea Dan was one of them. After a few minutes, the dishes were done. Part of her wished that she had just done them in the first place. Maybe then all of this could've been avoided.
She took a quick shower, even though the hot water made her want to stay in there for the rest of the day. It helped to relax her, but at that moment, relaxing wasn't something on her mind. She needed to get out. After drying off, she slipped on Dan's bathrobe, peaking out the door to make sure he wasn't around. Walking into his bedroom, she searched for her cell phone, hoping she could call a friend to come pick her up, but it was nowhere to be found. "Damn it.." she said under her breath. The only other option would be to get out somehow. Peaking around into the hallway, she scanned for Dan once again, and still he was no where to be found. Taking the opportunity, she practically ran to the front door of his apartment, fumbling with the lock as she tried to make her escape.
