Zato produced an almost empty bottle, then chugged the last few mouthfuls of whiskey inside.

"Here you go" he offered the empty container, swaying slightly.

The running madman, his gaze set entirely on the armored figure of the knight, did not notice the cook approaching, his hammer kept raised to strike the hated Morr.

Morr, meanwhile, finally managed to ram his sword through the gold-grafted skull of his adversary, the tainted flesh sizzling where the blade struck, the smell of charred flesh added to the stench of spilled blood as he tore the blade sideways out through the creature's head, it falling, twitching, to the ground, blood, brainmatter and pieces of gold flying everywhere,

The frenzy of battle crashing around his ears, Kaleed swayed and slid his way around the room.

Every chance he saw, he took the legs out from a monstrosity, a well placed kick here, throwing a chair just in time. Anything to give his allies an advantage. He probably had a couple of broken ribs, at at some point he was sure he had dislocated his shoulder.

The screaming madman he had heard earlier ran into the room. A great, grotesque creature lurched into the room shortly after. Distracted, a rusty sword came whistling at his head. Kaleed threw himself to the ground, and drove the creature to the floor with a leg sweep. As it hit the ground, arms failing, he quickly hopped up and leaped in the air. Bringing his heels down straight into the creatures throat, he crushed the damned ones windpipe.

Turning his head he saw a figure charging on him, and abruptly it stopped.

"YOU! YOU! YOU YOU YOU!!! YOU- YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!"

To Kaleed, the being seemed almost comical with its hate and anger. Almost like a child that was throwing a tantrum.

Looking behind his shoulder, he noted that the massive figure that had spoken to him earlier was the target of its hostility. The great fighter had his back turned, and was dealing with another creature.

His body flew into motion, crossing the room and dodging bodies, swords, and crossbow bolts. To his side, he saw that the creature had began began its rush to the great knight. At the same time, a young woman had appeared on the battle field. Was she.....hells! She was trying to rush the damn thing. "Stupid fool!", he thought to himself.

Forcing himself to run faster, he intercepted the creatures path. The huge golden flecked man, did not even notice him coming into his path. A dozen feet or more to the side, the girl had not been fast enough.

In his haste due to the concern for the girl, Kaleed had no actual plan. In a second the creatures massive body loomed before him, and Kaleed did the only thing he could think of.

He ducked.

"Hurrrmmmm" Zato grumbled, reaching into his bag. He found a jar, with a bumpy texture near the edge, telling him it was quite clean.

"Here, I saved this in case if I found a new ingredient for brewing." he presented the jar.

His gaze set unmovingly, the murdering psychopath ran straight, falling over the suddenly-appeared, now ducking man, the force of his charge now redirected towards the kneeling fool, while the madman himself landed in a heap behind, the hammer lost from his grasp.

Screaming with hate, his eyes still only set on the knight, he cared little about whatever tried to keep him from killing Morr "YOU FUCKING FAGGOT! I'LL FUCKING TEAR OUT YOUR SPINE AND BEAT YOU TO DEATH WITH IT!" picking himself up, he resumed his running again, though Morr, beset anew by another beast, had finally gained notice of the psychopath barreling towards him.

As kaleed ducked Vanessa drew on all the fighting training her father taught her. Vanessa slidd on the blood on the floor and stabbed the creature in the stomach then pulled out her daggers and rolled to the side. She stood up ready to strike again.

"Excellent." Valetni said, taking the jar. He placed the jar on the ground, and with the utmost care, carefully uncorked the glass bottle holding the glass tinted fuming liquid. Again, with the utmost care, ignoring the sounds of battle around him, he slowly poured into the new container, until it occupied about a fourth of the total volume. This operation done, he re-corked the jar, being especially careful to avoid coming into contact with the lip. Once the first container was secured, Valetni picked up the second, this one clear.

He paused for a moment to pull his gas mask over his face, tightening the straps as tight as they went and exhaling to check seal. Once he was satisfied that his protection was in place, he began to pour.

The dagger-blades ripping his guts open finally let the madman's rage redirect itself towards the woman that had dared striking him. His internals beginning to stream out, the psychopath cared little and instead turned straight around, charging at the cook.

Whilst the chaos of battle erupted to its highest, the tentacled nightmare encroached ever nearer, the ground where it had tread eaten up by its secreted acids.

Vanessa was ready she was watching how he would attack her. She dogged one claw filming at her and responding by lashing out one of her daggers and stricking at the arm. She saw the blood come pouring out of the arm when she pulled back her dagger.

A dazed Kaleed saw the young woman strike a glancing blow at the Mad One. The its stinking guts came seeping out, and it fixed its attention on the poor woman. The crazed damn thing had actually started running back towards them.

Kaleed came to all fours, and lurching to his feet unsteadly. Picking up speed, he accidently shoulder checked the poor woman, as he ran by. Spotting the Mad Ones hammer that had had fallen, he scooped it up, holding it in both hands as he ran forward.

At 5 feet apart, Kaleed leaped straight up towards the creature, swinging under and up, using the hammer he had acquired in a great curving arc.

Steel met flesh as the hammer crashed into the Mad Ones Jaw. The jolt of the impact knocked both participants down, but Kaleed kept his wits about him. Scrambling towards the creature, he slipped on a pool of blood, and fell on top the the thing. Frantic scrambling ensued, with the creature trying to throw him off, and Kaleed trying to maintain a desperate hold.

The crazed eyes burned at him, as they jostled against each other.

Rage built up inside him, and bringing both hands up, shoved both thumbs into either eye socket, aiming to puncture the creatures eyes.

Bellowing the creature began to swing its heavy muscled arms wildly, with Kaleed hanging on for dear life.

As the dark-skinned one tried to puncture his metallic eyes, the madman merely laughed again, before slamming his head forward, jaws open wide, attempting to tear out the other man's throat with his knife-like teeth.

Morr had finally managed to dispose of his last foe, cleaving it apart at its midsection before beheading it whilst it writhed on the ground. Setting his cold, helmeted gaze on the now prone madman with the dark-skinned one trying to hold it down, he broke into a run at the two.

Vanessa picked herself off of the floor and saw a dark skinned man with white hair take on the beast. She did not quit she ran after him and the ugly monster and at the same time she saw sir Morr coming thier way. She knew when this was over she would need a bath.

Valetni cursed as he felt a drop of the incredibly concentrated acid land on his hand. He ignored the boring, constant pain as it chewed its way through epithelial tissue, connective tissue, and muscular tissue as he continued to pour, doing the best he could to get the proper ratio as close to perfect as he could.

He carefully replaced the cover on the second jar, taking a spare cork from his robe to place on the third jar. He held the Jar in his hand, his fingers separated by fractions of an inch of glass from the most acidic substances he knew, and the only one that he knew of with the ability to dissolve gold. 1 part white fuming nitric acid to 3 parts hydrochloric acid. Aqua Regia, Royal Water.

WHAM!

Kaleed felt his grip loosen a bit.

The fucking thing had headbutted him!

Craining his head and neck back as far as he could, the snapping jaws of the thing beneath him, writhed and pounded his back and head with its arms.

Vision growing dark, he finally had to detach himself.
With a push, he rolled himself off the being, coming to rest at the feet of the woman, before blacking out.

Vanessa had no time to think about kaleed at her feet. She jumped over him and landed on the beasts chest and drove her daggers into its chest. She saw it trying to head butt her as well but she dogged it by jumping off the beast taking daggers with her.

Valetni carefully made his way down the stairs, his cane tucked in his belt, one hand on the railing, and the other carefully holding the aqua regia at arm's length. He had enough base components to attempt this one more time, but he'd rather get it right the first time.

At the base of the stairs, Valetni removed his cane from his belt. He started walking towards the tentacled creature, keeping low so as to no present a target to the other monsters that inhabited the combat zone.

Cackling, blood running out of his mouth in streams, the madman tried to rise again, only for those damn knives to rip open his chest cavity, though failing to damage more than two rips. Rising again, visibly unsteady, he was stopped by Morr barrelling towards him, ramming his shoulder into the thing's back, toppling him again.

Slamming his foot down onto the back of the head, he prepared to ram his blade right through the madman's skull, had it not been for the constants kicking of its legs hitting Morr's other foot, forcing him back, instead driving his blade through the thing's back, effectively pinning him down.

"Sister Vanessa, I suggest you end this madman now, the demon, the tentacled nightmare, draws nearer, we will have to retreat if it isn't stopped." he stated, voice utterly emotionless as he nodded at the downed figure of the psychopath, who was still trying to rise even with the sword in his back.

In the background, said demon's smaller tentacles shot out, managed to grab two Hellguards, dragged them to its body where the two, screaming in unimaginable pain, were quickly dissolved with their armor by the monster's acids, the remains drunk by the ever-screaming maws.

"Morr, if you could get me closer, I may have something to deal with that." He indicated the tentacular monster, showing little reaction to its gruesome dispatch of the two men.

He pulled the bottle of nitric acid from his belt, uncorked it, and began pouring it on the head of the pinned man, leaving at least one part remaining. He was careful to avoid any of the spatter from getting on him. He re-corked it, and returned it to his harness. "This'll be even more effective, on that." He said, giving the Aqua Regia a little shake.

Lifting his gaze from the now-still corpse of the madman the instant Valetni had done his work, Morr nodded at the older monk, while saying to sister Vanessa "Sister Vanessa, I implore you to get one of the soldiers to help you carry him-" he gestured at the downed, dark-skinned man, "- to safety, fear not, I will draw the enemy's attention away from you while I grant Valetni the possiblity to strike with whatever he concocted at the beast."

Nodding to brother Valetni, Morr ripped his blade from the corpse, pointed it at the mutated madmen standing between him and the demon "SHOW ME WHAT PASSES FOR FURY AMONGST YOUR MISBEGOTTEN KIND!"

Breaking into a run, he charged at them.

Urist could hear the battle outside with surprising clarity.

This only made him want to get away more.

He took his hammer to the cell door, pounding the hinges away rather quickly. Kicking the weakened door down with a resounding slam, he hurriedly moved for an exit, searching for a window he could climb out of.

Vanessa did as she was told and sunk her blades into the madman. She then turned as morr told her to get Kaleed to safty. She was quick to wave over a knight and taking Kaleeds front the kinght taking his other half they got him upstairs and laid him on a bed.

Following close behind Morr, Valetni did his best to keep his footing on the blood and offal slicked floor. His cane slid out from under him, sliding on a mass of internal organs. Valetni released his hold on the cane, dropping to one knee. The Aqua Regia sloshed dangerously. Through the mask, he could barely see where he was walking, each breath was a struggle to draw sufficiently oxygen to power his exertion, already his face was becoming slick with blood and the eye pieces were in danger of fogging over.

He looked up, only a couple meters away now, it would have to be close enough, fuck that hero shit.

Dragging himself to his feet, he took hold of the solution, and flung.

The jar tumbled through the air, before smashing against the mountainous mask of tentacles. For good measure, he flung the two component jars as well, both extremely acidic in their own right.

His payload delivered, not bothering to stay and observe the affects that his concoction had on the beast, Valetni turned and made his way from the monster as quick as he was able on the treacherous footing of the blood slicked floor. His fight here was over. The high ground beckoned to him.

The fighting reached its chaotic peak, the Hellguards only barely managing to hold their lines with great casualties, the ground was blocked from view by blood and gore, dozens of mutated and Hellguard corpses lining where the fighting was thickest. Yet, the Hellguards held, kept their unity, fighting side by side unwavering against the chaotic flood, halberdiers pinning the enemies down for the sword-bearers to finish them off while crossbows kept on firing the ones that kept entering the buildings at the entrance. The ranks of madmen were barely thinning.

Morr meanwhile found himself about to be overwhelmed by the number of enemies that had answered his taunts, his breastplate dented deeply, forcing every breath to be made with labor as the battle's exhaustion did its part. Ramming his blade straight through the skull of another beast, another madman barrelled into his side, the blade denied to be let go ripped sideways from the other creature, toppling him as it began to punch its massive fists onto his down figure while it resolutely slammed its trunk-like leg onto his sword arm.

Under the sound of his armor's metal screeching in defiance to the beasts's inhuman strength, Morr answered in kind, slammed his metal-encased knee into the beast's groin, it opening its fanged mouth to merely laugh at the attempt, before he rammed his free fist directly into its maw, crushing through teeth as he forcefully made his entrance. While the beast looked at him in a shocked daze over his audacity, he propelled his hand further, tearing through its throat before he finally managed to grab something, he pulled with all his might, the creature's following roars turning to bloody choking as he brutally ripped out its spine through its throat.

Twitching, the corpse fell on him, burying him under a mass of flesh and muscle, before it was pulled away by another beast to take its predecessor's place.

As the jars were swallowed by the demon's ever-open and ever-hungering maws, breaking and releasing the foul-smelling fuming red solution, the beast's numberless mouths cried out in wordless pain as its internals and vital core of gold was brutally, rapidly corroded, tentacles twitching in agony as its screams grew in volume by the second, the mutants near it falling to the ground in equal pain.

The madman that was trying to choke Morr to death while he was prone on the ground was equally affected, it screaming thrice-tongued alongside demon in its demise "THE CALL! THE CALL! I CAN HEAR THE CALL!" before its skull exploded in a shower of blood and brainmatter.

The numbers of madmen notably lessened, some with their heads erupting like the one at Morr, others merely falling to the ground, spasming and screaming, while the rest was weakened in both resolve and aim, quickly falling to the remaining Hellguards or tearing eachother apart.

Valetni turned, watching the havok he had wreaked upon the enemy force. He stripped the gas protection apparatus off his face, the smell of blood and carnage assaulting his olfactory senses even as the slight breeze from the breached opening chilled his flushed face. A smile forced its way onto his lips. "Nice." He said. "I love it when ze plans come together."
