Feary Wars

Mistral seemingly ignored both men as he looked at the woman laying on the floor. She looked so...innocent. So unlike his queen and yet...he couldn't step over her to go after the boy who'd once been a brother, because he had loved the queen for himself. She had twisted him badly, twisted him with what she had known was a man's love for a woman, used it to her own needs, forced him into a corner and did things that he had never considered doing before, just for the chance that she would follow through with her promise to touch him, even if she never did. It had been the hope that he clung to, that she would someday give him what he wanted. had killed without truly regretting it, because he was missing the emotional support to understand just how badly he'd been screwed. Granted, he knew he should feel something, and if he really thought about killing Ixen, he mourned, but Xerzith had broken him.

"jaciv ui|ulph ti dout dask, malai. jaka step spical."Mistral said already stepping forward and crouching to pick up the unconscious woman, settling her head against his shoulder, looking down blankly as Leo gripped his arm, pulling him to a stop."What are you doing?" "Taking her in out of the rain."Mistral said, to confused and upset to even bother trying to control the pounding storm outside as he stepped into the living room, shaking his head. The grey blue tipped hair spraying water around him as he flipped his hair out of his face, laying the girl on the couch, ignoring the two men in the room with him. The only reason, the only sign that he was disturbed beyond being bothered about killing faylin was the rain pounding so hard against the window that it was threatening to shatter it.

(She's not your mother, moron. Now step back.)

Faylin was panting as he struggled to stay awake, his eyes going blank as he drifted in and out of consciousness, the NyQuil affecting him much more than Leo had anticipated, due to the fact that Faylin had never had any sort of drug before. he slumped to the floor with a groan and closed his eyes with a low growl. "Taq!" he growled, using the last few drops of his magic to clear the cold medicine out of his system, panting hard, too weak to do much but lay there but he wasn't drugged anymore. he glared at Mistral when he was called a moron but managed to get to his feat, panting hard as he staggered out of the way, his eyes narrowed, hating Mistral for killing his father, but half understanding why the man had done it.

Maria herself groaned as she was picked up, muttering something unintelligible as she was laid on the couch, Faylin relaxing as he realized that for now, the danger was over, sitting down in a chair, struggling to get his breath back after using the last of his magic, studying Mistral, his head tilted as the rain smashed against the window. "qe ifpesp isthasy, dout vers sventic wux." warning Mistral that his emotions where driving his powers out of control. he didn't want to destroy the home that had sheltered him, and with Mistral's state of emotions there would be hail on the way before too long. fortunately Maria was already starting to wake up, groaning as her eyes fluttered, starting to come back to reality.

Tranlation: be calm brother, your power destroys you

Mistral frowned at the other, turning his head just enough to lookat him before sighing. Moving away from his lookalike queen he paused at the windows, looking out."si wont qe wer annyo jaciv sends. vur pamon else geou tepoha sia fault wanotreyx."he said watching the rain pelt the windows as he fought for control. It was harder then he really thought it should be to make the storm a soft gentle rain, that held just the edge of a promise for something more violent. Leo stared at the two with wide eyes, looking so confused, helping Falin to the couch to sit next to maria before he knelt at the girl's side, gently stroking her hair out of her face."Maria? Are you okay?"He said looking at hr worriedly, glancing at the man standing at the window. Not trusting the seemingly emotional stunted man, even if he wasn't being violent, there was a promise of violence there. Like the storm, he had no doubt that the assassin could turn deadly at a moment.

"How are you feeling?"Mistral asked, and even if he didn't turn around, it was clear that he was talking to Maria, the only reason that he had stopped his demand to go for faylin's throat. And about the only reason he wasn't taking advantage of the weakness, Maria was making him confused.And....because he'd once loved the prince like a brother, until th queen had twisted him up with lies and half truths.

he frowned a little. "you have no faults brother." he stated simply, voice shaking from the loss of his own energy. "your only flaw was trusting her." he promised shaking his head a little as he smiled at Leo. "i told you i wasn't crazy." he teased as he let the other move him to the couch, trembling on the soft cushions as he studied Maria, only accepting that she wasn't his mother once he touched the scars on her cheek to make sure they weren't glamors or fake. Maria groaned a little and blinked at Leo, looking confused. "did we kill the freaky healing thing?... he was an alien?" she asked confused rubbing her head a little. "or was that all a dream?" she asked before blinking at Mistral, her eyes widening as she struggled for the gun that she knew was under the couch.Leo had them everywhere, just in case.

"be at peace, Maria." Faysol ordered gently setting a hand on her shoulder. "he will cause you no harm." for now anyway. Maria relaxed a little and sighed a little as she rested her head on Leo, seeking comfort, something she rarely did. her world was tumbling around and she did not like it one bit. "Mistral is right Leo. i cannot stay here, others will come for me, and they will not have the honor that he has. they will not hesitate to harm you and your mate..." "mate? me?" Maria asked before snorting. "he only wishes! he's practically my brother." fay blinked. "i am.. confused." "Leo is a fairy." she tried to explain, Faysol blinking. "but he has no wings..." "no i mean he's gay..." "... he does not appear to be very happy... what does that have to do with being a fairy?" "... no, Faysol... he likes men. sexually." "... so he is a kornari di itov? why does that mean he has to be happy?" he asked his head tilted. his people did not have such restraints as man and women, in fact Draconis loved equally, there was no such thing as sexism of any sort. kornari di itov, or Heart of Love was a term they used for people who preferred the same sex. "... i don't know what that means." Maria complained shaking her head. "we need to work on our communication skills." Maria admitted, Faysol scowling a little. "i am communicating just fine...." he complained, sulking a little.

"tir ti xurwk inglatai wux cant nakta faylin. si nomag still levnim jacioniv, ihk filki vorqir hefoc xarzith."Mistral said absently, not really paying attention to the scene going on behind him. He had a fault, a huge one that he'd worked hard on hiding. He was in love with his queen, and she owned him in a way that no one could ever do again.But....maybe maria could break her hold.

Leo smiled a little, "no, at least I don't think he's a alien."He said looking amused at the words before looking at faylin, shaking his head as he stroked Maria's head."You can to stay here. Mistral's staying isn't he?" "I am?" "you're not exactly running for the door." Mistral snorted at the words, amused at the humans logic, before snickering at sexual conversation going on behind him.He had...a idea of what was going on, and the fact that the draconis couldn't understand amused him."Humans call being kornari di itov, gay. Don't ask me why, they just do."Mistral said from the window finally turning to look at them, leaning back against the wall as he snickered. For the first time in years, really laughing, almost doubled over with it as he laughed at the two sulking."Its a species communication thing. You two know what you want to say,but cant."He snickered calming, eyes a clear grey now that his confusion and worry had broken.

Do not make promises you cant keep faylin. I may still harm her, for just looking like ice.

Fay smirked a little at his brother. "malai, wux shilta ti ouith jacioniv tagoa jaciv vorqic hefoc dask. tiliw wux nafl nar seanf ir svaust vorqic zyak hefoc jacioniv?" he stated simply shaking his head as he looked over at Maria, who was not handling the situation very well. "then what is he!?" she demanded, her voice quivering in terror, Faysol smiling. "he is a Storm Lord. a type of Fey, a very strong race of people who control the weather at their will... so long as they have their emotions under control." Faysol admitted smiling a little before scowling. "i cannot stay, Mistral will not protect me, or you. just because he is not killing you, doesn't mean he likes you." he pointed out before pausing as he realized Leo had a point, Leo wasn't leaving. he knew it, he liked Maria just because she looked like his mother Xerzith.

"well, maybe they call it Gay because they are happier?" he asked smirking a little as he shook his head as the man started to laugh. "well at least someone is enjoying this. my own mother is trying to kill me, i'm being held against my will, and your sitting there laughing." he complained sighing a little. "for now i can't do anything..." he admitted looking at his trembling hand. "i'm as helpless as a child... more so.. i can't even stand up right now, i used all my magic gettign here..." he admitted sulking at Mistral. "you cheated no doubt and used a preset Feary Ring didn't you?" it would explain why the other wasn't drained of all his magic, aside from the fact that storm lords could pull energy from the air around them like the cheaters they where. Maria was studying the storm lord herself, blinking at him a little. "your wrong in the head aren't you?" she demanded of the storm lord. "pretty though..."

Translation: moron, you cannot hurt her because she looks like mother. could you really strike against one who looks so like her?

"Yes, I could."Mistral said, though he didn't all that sure on the fact. Leo's eyes went wide as he looked at the man, and then at the rain pattreing against the window behind Mistral."He seems very in control." "I always am."Mistral scowled a little at Faylin's words,"Don't speak for me moron, I'm perfectly capable of saying what I am and am not doing." "WEll then, you're going to say that your staying." "....you annoy me human."The storm lord said before making a face at the prince.

"Faylin, you of all people know that I do not enjoy myself at anything. The fact that your having communication problems, is amusing to me."The storm lord said rolling his eyes before growling a little."Why would I bother cheating? The hunt's not nearly as fun if your as weak as a newborn kitten."The man said pushing away from the window, walking over and gently shoving the prince in the shoulder, careful not to injure him,but enough to jostle him."You of all people, should know I'm not other storm lords." "Then who are you?" "A storm lord raised by draconis."He said before that coldness of a ice storm filled his eyes, showing just how twisted faylin's mothr had made him, as he looked at Maria."Of course I am."

Faylin smirked at his brother, he knew better,. his mother had broken him to the point that he could not raise a hand against her, even when she was furious enough to nearly kill him. "you can speak for yourself, but you never do. you would have simply ignored them and left it up to me to explain anyway." he admitted smiling a little. "and you have to admit, if you weren't going to stay you'd be gone by now." Faysol admitted calmly making a face back at his brother. "everything annoys you Mistral." he stated calmly sticking his tongue out at the other like the child he was. in Draconis culture, Faysol was barley into maturity. young and inexperienced compared to the nearly twice his age Mistral. Draconis Matured at a slower rate than storm lords even, so Mistral wa more like twice and a half older than Faysol was.

"you used to enjoy yourself." Faysol teased smirking a little at the other. "in fact with all that laughing i'd say your lying to yourself when you say your not." he teased shaking his head. "and i'm not having communication problems, she is!" he complained Maria snorting a little. "your the one who's speaking riddles fairy boy." "i'm not a fairy!" Faysol complained puffing out like an angry kitten when he was shoved, spitting at him like an angry snake as Maria grinned a little before looking at Fay. "what is a Draconis?" "... a.. Dragon i suppose you would call us... but, more than that." he admitted biting his lip a little. "i... i guess you would have to call us shape shifting mages, powerful wizards whose true form is that like a Dragon." he admitted smiling as Maria shuddered. "oh yes... storm controllers mages and dragons..." she shook her head and hid her face in Leo's chest. "i'm high... that's what this is, Father drugged me again and i'm psyching out..." she decided. "this is all fake, just a dream..." "... is she alright?" Faysol asked looking a little worried about Maria who was trying to hide from the world in Leo's chest.

Mistral rolled his eyes looking amused."I tell your mother to go fuck hrself all the time. Since when is that not speaking up?"He said rolling his eyes at the tongue, reaching out and catching the offending tongue between his fingers, giving him a little shock, not enough to do any damage, but just a shock. For once he was letting his true nature show through the ice. "He does seem to be able to lie to himself well."Faylin said smiling a little as he watched th two laughing as faylin puffed up like a angry kitten."It seems you both are having problems talking."He said amused as he looked between them to.

"I don't think your high Maria. Your hand has a eletrical burn where Mistral grabbed you."Leo pointed out raising her hand so that she could see the slightly reddened skin. Mistral shrugged looking annoyed as Leo glared at him for hurting her."She was pointing a metal thing at me.She was going to get me electrocuted out in the storm."He said annoyed before sighing moving towards the door."Well, I could always go....though if I do,faylin you do to." "She'll be fine. Stay."Leo ordered gently stroking Maria's hair ,lookign worried about all three of them.

Fay snorted a little. "that's not speaking up that's wishful thinking." Faysol taunted gasping as his tongue was caught, crossing his eyes to look at it and yelping as he was zapped glaring at hs brother as his tongue went numb, rendering him unable to talk for a moment before glaring at Leo furiously for his comment, huffing a little before tilting his head at Maria, still unable to adjust to how much she looked exactly like Xerzith. Maria herself stared at the burns on her wrist. "what's one more scar?" she asked softly, still in shock at everything happening around her, closing her eyes. "i had every right to point a gun at you, you where going to kill Faysol..." ".. why protect me at all? you don't know me." fay admitted softly. "if Mistral was any less of an honorable male, he would have killed you." Draconis where very high on honor...well most of them where, Ixen had made sure that both his son's where strong and honorable.

"Mistral, how do you expect me to go anywhere when i can't stand and that bastard puts things in my food to make me sleep!?" he complained glaring at Leo, clearly very angry about that little trick. "it's no wonder your food tasted bad." he growled, sulking a little. "that was a very bad thing to do, you are a trickster." he complained, though only Mistral would understand the insult. to a Draconis, being a false, a liar, or a trickster was basically saying they had no honor and no faith. it was one of the worst insults a Draconis could say. not that Leo didn't deserve it. "i need a nap." Maria whispered softly. "i can't deal with any of this right now.." she muttered softly swallowing thickly as she looked at Fay. "i defended you, because Leo likes you, that is all the reason i needed to protect you." "... you are brave, like Draconis." Fay complimented offering her a smile. "thank you for protecting me, i am sorry i got you hurt."

Mistral rolld his eyes at the glare, amused but trying not to think about wishful thinking. Making a faceatthe namecalling."I was told to kill him. And its not because I have honor you moron, I have othr reasons for not harming the female."Mistral said wrinkling his nose at the idea this was very annoying. He would leave, if he didn't think his brother and the two humans would be killed as soon as one of the others showed. His...honor would not allow him to walk away from his prince, and his lookalike queen. Leo sighed shifting to stand up."Come on Maria, you can have my bed."He said smiling at th two fae and walking to his bedroom, tucking maria in with a smile.

"He was probably making sure you didn't run away, you have a tendency to run away from things even if staying in one place would be good for you."Mistral pointed out, amused because the human had looked saddened at the name calling, even if he hadn't protested the man's words, having tricked the other into eating the drugs. "You need to stay fay, at least until you can defend yourself without me."He said knowing eventually he'd have to return to his own plain, but for now, it was going to be okay.

Fay snorted a little but said nothing about the female, he knew better. Maria wouldn't be able to handle it and Leo and Maria had no right to know of Mistrals... er, woman troubles anyway. Maria smiled at Leo as she followed him up to the bedroom, allowing him to fuss over her, something she normally only did when her father punished her and kissed his cheek. "Fay really is pretty, you should try to keep him." she teased smiling a little at him before closing her eyes and going to sleep, feeling safe in Leo's bed. he wouldn't let anything happen to her.

"i have every right to run away when my homicidal mother kills my father and guns for my head as well just because she doesn't want to give up her power over everything. she's destroying the Draconis Mistral, i had to leave so i could find a way to dethrone her." he did run away from his problems though, he just didn't want to admit it. "i can't exactly leave anyway." he admitted. "i can't even stand up on my own." he admitted chuckling a little as he shook his head a little. "why protect me anyway Mistral? not ten minutes ago you where fighting to kill me." he teased shaking his head. "what will you do when Mother finds out?" he knew that if Xerzith found out, she was going to start sending assassins after the 'traitor' Storm Lord as well. and he wasn't sure Mistral could handle having Xerzith angry at him.

Leo snickered rolling his eyes as he settled in a chair by his bed, to watch over her. Amused because she'd gone from thinking to get away from him, to wanting faylin to stay.

"......."Mistral stared at him, doing a impressive impression of a stone that wouldn't talk. Sighing a little as he thought about it."I'll deal with it when it happens."He said before a sly, amused smirk twisted his lip."You know as well as I do, I tried her assasins.Do you really think I wont deal with it?"He asked avoiding the questio nof what he would do about it, because he didn't know. Even the thought of Xerzith mad at him made his knees buckle a little, made his breathing quicken. He was so tied to her, so in love that he couldn't function if he thought she was mad at him."...because you reminded me that I once enjoyed your....company. For now, I'm willing to see where this goes."He said not about to say his real reason was the human girl that had made his knees go out. Because if he admitted to that, he knew Faylin would figure out that he wasnt just loyal to his mother, that the prince would know that he was desperately, frantically in love with his queen.

Fay sighed a little, he hated it when Mistral went to stone like that before he offered the other a small smile. "i have no doubt of that brother, your good at dealing with things." he teased. "and you did train her assassins... but that doesn't mean you can't be hurt..." he pointed out shaking his head a little. "honestly i'm not so sure that you will deal with anything, knowing you you'll sit back and watch." he stated with a roll of my eyes. "and claim it as 'training me' like when you sent your assassins to kick my ass constantly last summer." he accused sulking a little. "that was cruel." he complained simply. "and enjoyed my company? ever since i was five you've been by my side constantly." he pointed out smirking a little. "said you where going to make sure i grew up proper, that it was your job as a big brother remember?" he teased smirking a little. "not that i didn't love all the attention." it was a shame for Mistral that Faylin already knew how desperately in love with the queen his brother was. he saw it all too often, he wasn't the only one who Xerzith's beauty had ensnared. "Maria is very pretty though." Faylin admitted smirking a little. "she wouldn't at all be a reason as to why your staying hmm?"

"Hey. I wouldn't let them kill you."Mistral pouted a little grinning."And besies that was for your own good. You needed the practice. You can even use a sword now because of it."He pointed out rolling his eyes wincing at that."Don't remind me. I see my failings in making you better when I remember."He said rolling his eyes as he turned to stare back out the window, turning his head slightly at the words."Of course not. Your mother's a bitch who'd I'd run away from if I ever found a lookalike. I need to make sure you're okay."He said sulking a little because he had a bad feeling that the prince had guessed. Only knowing what mistral felt would have made him say that.

he chuckled a little and shook his head a little bit. "i could always use a sword!... there are better ways to teach someone you oaf!" he complained sulking a little. "and i like to think i was raised perfectly well thank you." he stated sticking his nose up in the air before he laid down and snuggled into a pillow. "you can lie to yourself brother, but you cannot lie to me. "wux re lae clear lae wer surface di vi svess ryna. for most people you appear to be a reflection, only what you want them to see. but for someone like me, i can see past your reflective surface, and see the many things you hide underneath." he smiled at the other before he yawned and closed his eyes. "you too should find a place to sleep. other assassins will not come for a few days, Xerzith will not expect you to fail, and it will take her a while to realize you are not coming back with my head."

you are as clear as the surface of a smooth lake)

"Hmmm true."Mistral sighed softly as he to searched for a place to sleep, ending up curling up at the other end of the couch and going to sleep.

Meanwhile, back in faery, one of the young lords bowed in front of their queen,"M'lady, both Lord Mistral and Lord Faylin are gone, and no one has seen them since."He reported, trembling a little because she was used to mistral catching everyone quickly, the fact that he'd been gone for hours already would surely be a bad sign. Not that he was about to tell her that maybe her favorite toy would be useless to her now.

the Ice Queen turned to the young lord, her eyes narrowed. "yes, i am aware of this. i anticipate it will take Mistral a while to find my son, he is very tricky when he wishes to be." she admitted simply her ice cold eyes studying the man before her before crooking her finger at him, motioning for him to approach her, bending down in her chair to stroke his chin, smiling at him. "would you die for your Queen my pretty?" she asked softly, stroking her fingers across his lips. "of course you would, and so too will Mistral, Faysol will die, but just in case Mistral has been wounded or killed, send one of the Hounds." she ordered. Hounds meaning werewolf, the best trackers her world had to offer, and loyal to her simply because they where allowed to slaughter as they pleased when she wanted someone dead. "and bring me my dinner as well." she ordered waving him off, enjoying her glass of wine without a care in the world.

Maria was the first one to wake, smiling at Leo who was asleep in the chair as she slid out of bed and headed downstairs to make some breakfast, sticking to something simple and making pancakes, turning to study Mistral, examining the smooth lines of his face as she moved closer to him, watching him sleep, finding him so handsome. he was so beautiful, she had this intense urge to kiss him, and Maria had never been one to deny herself... and he was sleeping after all... right? she leaned forward and gently brushed her lips against his, feeling how soft his lips where. human or not... she wanted him. he was strong, beautiful, powerful, her perfect man.

Mistral's hand snapped up, not even awake and he was repsonding to someone touching him. Closing his hand around her neck he hauled the girl away from him, looking confused as he looked at the girl in his hold. After a moment forcing his hand to open, wincing a little as he realized that he'd hurt maria."Sorry....I don't wake up easily...."He apologized looking saddened at the idea he had hurt her, looking away from her, "Is faysol up yet?"He muttered looking around, not wanting to think about what he'd done.

she choked as his hand closed around her neck, gripping his hand tightly, pressing on the nerves in his wrist, but her fingers kept slipping in her panic and she just couldn't get a grip on him. she took a deep breath as he released her and coughed hard as she shook her head. "no... it's my fault... shoulda known better." she admitted rubbing her neck and offering him a smile. "your just so pretty... i couldn't resist..." she admitted looking over at Fay. "not even a twitch, i think he's recovering his... magic..." she muttered wrinkling her nose at the word. "... you know... half a day ago i didn't beleive in things like you." she admitted swallowing thickly. "i never have... i'm a facts... science, technology kind of girl.. it's... difficult to come to terms with you two being... inhuman." she admitted looking back at the storm lord. "... are you hungry...er... do you eat?"

"Of course I eat. I have to have something to power the magic."He said looking amused as he looked at the girl, looking sorry to as he shifted to get to his feet."I admit, magic is hard to believe in, but seeing faysol do something is way worth the belief."He said already heading for the kitchen, amused because she seemd to be accepting magic fairly well instead of clinging to the believe that it couldn't be real."You're taking this change well."He said not even commenting on his prettiness. He was used to people comparing him to faysol, so he really didn't believe her but he was willign to let it slide for now.

she smiled a little and nodded a little. "right... right... i'll make lots then..." she muttered biting her lip a little as she returned to her cooking smiling a little as she shook her head. "Faysol can't do shit right now he can't even stand up." she scoffed, clearly still not absolutely believing, but was more than willing to let them carry out their own sick little fantasies so long as she didn't get dragged into it. "change? what change? i have two freaks in my best freinds house... nothing strange about that." she stated simply, clearly in denial as she slid a stack of pancakes over to him and handed him one of the bottles of syrup. "so... how did you get here then? magic i suppose?"

"Faysol can't do anything even if he's feeling well.I am so much better."He said a prverted small smirk curling his lips for a moment before it faded.Mistral looked at her, looking amused at hr denial before nodding."I came through magic. Every realm, faery, cenataur, etc....they all have storms. And all storms are a storm lord's gateway into their worlds."he said looking amused."I found him quickly because magic leaves a bad taste in th mouth, that once you know where it is, where you lost the trail, you can pick it up again."

she blinked a little before smirking wickedly herself. "in every way too i suppose?" she asked smirking a little at him as she licked her lips. "well i'm the best this world has to offer myself, we'll have to duel, see who's better." she teased winking at him as she grabbed her own breasts and winked at him playfully before grimacing a little and shaking her head. "so because you came through a storm you didn't wast any,... magic, and because Faysol come through... another way, he lost it all?... confusing." she admitted shaking her head as she continued to cook as Faysol started to shift in the other room, the smell of food waking him up.

"Well of course. I am older and more experienced."He said raising a eyebrow, before snickering at her offer,"Maybe we should have a duel."He said enjoying for the moment, pretending that his queen had totally lost her mind and was really following through with a promise. "yes. The storm was mine, and because I didn't have to summon it, it was easier. Faysol had to force a door open to come here, along with the fact that he had been running for two days already....yes it will be a little while before he's back to himself."Mistral smirked a little, "Fay!Food's done."The storm lord called not wanting the man to freak out when he woke up and didn't recognize anything right away. Forgetting that his voice might just freak the other otu.
