"All right I'll show you, besides there is a theme to the ones I'm showing you." Then he pulled her back to his memories, this time the young boy had aged quite a few years, and was now a teenager. He was playing in a great field surrounded by the young spirits of the winds, he was happy once again, but then the matron appeared and all play ended. "It's time last wing for you to find your way in the world of man, I have tought you many things, but now you must return to the world you were born to. But do not fret, for I will not send you out un-aided here are a few gifts for your journeys." She presented to him a long elegently crafted curved sword, "this blade is light, and sturdy, it's blade is sharp enough to even cleave the winds in half." This she handed to him, and he took it with great care, then she formed a bow and quiver, simple in design, but massive in size "this bow will never miss, nor will it ever shatter. With these tools, and the skills I have tought you, you will never find youself in need, and will be able to forge a path for yourself in the world." Through this entire exchange he was solemn, but never angry, never affronted at being thrown out from the only world he knew, he simply trusted in his skills, and the will of the matron, as it should be.
Time once again sped up, and she saw him forge his way out of the valley, hunting and scrounging what he could from the environment. Eventually he came upon a small caravan and arranged passage aboard in exchange for providing fresh meat for the whole group. They stopped at a small port town where he seemed to melt into the environment, helping others as they needed help no matter the inconvenience, and greeting all as though they were a dear friend. At one point a group of men told him of some work he might be able to do, and trusting them, they brought him to an alley where they assaulted him and tooke everything but his bow, and sword. Leaving him with nothing, and injured, but he did not cry or wallow in their trickery and instead when he had the strength got up and found a ship that was willing to take him on as a cook/medic.
Again time sped up, and the images she saw were of him doing the work of cook, and medic, as he himself healed, and increased his duties. He quickly became a friend to the crew, his body grew strong with the work, and he once again had a family, and was happy. The vessel itself was a trading vessel, and as was to occasionally happen came upon pirates, where he found a use for the sword, and not only forced the pirates back single handedly as his blade cut through armor, weapon and flesh in single powerfull strokes, but was able to even cut the ship in half. After which the sailors horrified by his skills, and the magic of his weapons abandoned him at the next port, only leaving his earnings with him as they too abandoned him.
Finally with a senes of a great pull, Sky found herself back in the present, the dragon god looking exhausted. "Did you learn anything Sky, tell me what did you think of the events as they unfolded."
