Lund let's out another playful laugh as he looks into her eyes. He spins his horse letting her take in all of the view as he ignores the stares from his brother. He reaches over in the saddle tugging an apple free. He offers it to her smiling softly. "How can I bit be happy. I'm home and I'm in love with the most beautiful woman ever. "

Taking the apple, she holds it in her had, amazed at how fresh it looked. A deep, dark red color. Lovely really. After eying it a few moments before biting into it. Her eyes went wide, "Mmmm, thank you. This apple... it's... delicious!" She commented before offering it to his lips, "The apples taste nothing like this back in my home. Is all the fruits of your land's labors like this? Why did you ever leave such a glorious land like this to fight?"

Lund smiles as she offers the apple to take a bite from. He does take the bite looking into her eyes. "I left because I was called to. Besides if I hadnt left then I never would have meet you darling." He takes another bite from the apple. He reaches over to another tree calling to angus before two apples arc over to Nessa and him. "Try a bite out of those." He places a soft kiss on her cheek as he nudges the horse to keep it moving.

Nessa and Angus both take bite and Nessa at least gives the same reaction that Kiana had. They were from the same land after all. Angus did give his approval only said, "Not had an apple as fine as this in a long, long while. And never this far north before."

Kiana smiles as she takes another bite from the apple that were sharing as she looked about, "How far from your home are we? Will we make it by dark?"

Lund smiles at Angus reaction smiling softly. His arms wrap around Kianas wasttaking another bite from her apple. "I'm sure we will be there by nightfall. My parents probably will hve a banquet set out for us." He glances over at Angus smirking softy. "I hope you brought your apatite with you. My parents know how to set a table."

Angus laughed loudly, "I'll let my appetite know it should prepare itself for a fine night ahead."

As if on cue, Kiana's stomach growled with the thought of food, even as she was taking another bite of the apple in her hand. It dawned on her at that point how she had not actually eaten anything at breakfast she was meant to share with Jak. She was to busy attempting to avoid his advances then to think about filling herself for the day's travels. "I suppose even I must admit... a fine meal would be welcomed tonight."

Lund laughs at Angus comment as he keeps a firm grip on kiana as they ride. His head dips as he looks into her eyes as her stomach suddenly growls. "I think your stomach is agreeing with all of us love." His head dips whispering to kiana. "Are you sure you won't take the ring back love. It might wars my brother off."

She sighs a little, "I don't know. If I don't wear it, it leaves me vulnerable to your brother. But if I do wear it..." she trails off a little, taking her hand and reaching to brush her fingers of his hand, over the ring now on his finger again. "I don't want to insult your family by showing up wearing your ring around my neck. Especially if they end up hating me. I don't know what to do..."

Lund sighs softly as he presses his lips to her cheek. "I'll follow anything you want to darling. I know what I wish for but I won't press you." He wraps his arms around her waist tugging her closer with a smile. His lips brush her neck as he moves to take a bite of the apple.

She can't help but smile a little as his lips trail over her neck. "I will make you a deal. The ring stays off until after I meet your family. If I think they take to me well then, I'll let you give the ring back to me. If this first meeting goes terribly wrong though..." she trailed off, pretty sure that he knew what the rest of her sentence was going to be. He likely didn't want her talking about the idea that they may not end up together forever.

Lund smiles softly as he lifts her head looking into her eyes. "You wish to become my mistress if they dont accept you. That is what you were going to say isnt it?" He gently kisses her lips then takes a bite from the apple as he thinks it over. "Ill accept your deal Kiana. Its the best Ill get I believe." He smiles giving her a soft kiss once more.

"Then it seems that we have ourselves a deal," she said sealing the promise to one another with a kiss on his cheek. And so, their fate was decided. By the end of this day, she would go to sleep either a woman engaged to be married to the man of her dreams or the mistress of the man of her dreams. She supposed it was not that bad then. Either way she would still have him. Just one way, she was honest, and the other.... well not so much. And only time would tell, which she would become.

((Skip ahead?))

Lund nods softly as he turns the horse to ride along the cart. He goes quiet as he let's his mind wander thinking about the possible future they might have together. His fingers gently take her hand squeezing it as they ride. "Just think if things go well tonight you will be planning our wedding."

(sure)

They rode all day long, not stopping for a rest at any time. But it paid off as with the sun still in the sky, they climbed the last hill and looked ahead to see their final destination. Lund's home took her breath away. The almost castle like keep was the size of her entire village, the tall walls protecting those that lived within the walls and the gate were open for those that lived in the village around it to come and go as well. Their approach was noted by the people and many came out to wave and welcome Lund home as they passed. Eventually, as the sun was setting over the hills, the party entered into the bailey were they were greeted by people ready to take their horses to the stables and to lead them inside. Kiana still rode in Lund's lap, even thought she had argued she should not be seen riding like that into his home, he would not let her back into the cart with Nessa.

Lund holds Kiana close almost as if he is afraid that letting her go would mean losing her. He smiles nodding o some of the people who recognize him. He slips off his horse then moves to help Kiana down smiling softly as he looks into her eyes. He hands the reigns of the horse to a stable boy thanking him.

He then turns to look at Angus ready to say something when a blond blur races between them and hugs Lund tightly. He lets out a short laugh hugging them young woman now attached to him. Once they have seperated its clear to see this is one of Lunds sister from the look in her eyes and her face.

Kiana first felt a great twinge of jealously flash through her as the bouncy little ball of blonde hair threw her arms around Lund and he in turn wrapped his arms around her. But after the initial feeling passed and she looked at the happy yet warm look upon Lund's face, she knew even before seeing the girl's face that this girl was family of his.

"Oh Lund! You're home! You're finally home!" his sister exclaimed with great joy. Taking another moment to give him another hug before pulling away again. "I started to think you'd never come to your senses and come home. Is it for good? Please tell me it's for good!" his sister didn't seem to notice that Kiana was there, who had already taken a few steps away to stand with Nessa and Angus. Lund deserved some time with his family.

Lund laughs softly at his sisters reaction to his arrival. He gently rubs her head as he returns the second hug once more. He doesnt realize Kiana has take a step back as he listens to his sister talk holding his hands up. "One question at a time sister. I cant answer if you wont give me time to. As for being home for good it depends. If Im needed again I will have to go." He turns wanting to introduce Kiana and blinks seeing her with Angus. "I want you to meet someone sister." He leads her over to Kiana taking Kianas hand pulling her close. "Kiana this is my youngest sister Lily."

Kiana gave a little bow of her head in respect to Lily as her greeting, "It is nice to finally meet some of Lund's family." Kiana couldn't help but note how very charming Lily was. It seemed the girl's smile was plastered to her lips for it looked so natural and so constant.

Lily kept on smiling as she greeted Kiana back. "It's nice to meet some of Lund's... friends!" She glanced at Lund a moment, giving a knowing smiles towards her brother, really a smug smirk before she turned her attention for the rest of the group. "Who else do we have here?"

Lund notices the look from his sister giving her a playful jab in the side. He turns to Angus and Nessa smiling. "These are my friends. Angus and Nessa." He smiles letting them say hi before stepping in slightly. "And just so you know Nessa is a dressmaker. Im sure you will love that."

He glances over at Kiana offering her another smile his face still showing the enjoyment from his race earlier. He turns catching movement out of the corner of his eye. An older couple is coming out of the castle. The man looking more like Lund then Jak but older and more regal. The woman could almost be an older twin for Lily with her bright smile as she approaches Lund.

She smiles back a moment before she notices that his attention was somewhere new. Turning her head, she spotted them and she felt her stomach twist up at once. One look and she knew that she was looking at Lund's parents. And they were coming right for them. She instantly started to straighten her skirts, brushing off the dust of the day's travel. You could only make a first impression once. As they grew closer still, Kiana only prayed she did not mess this one chance up. She only had once chance.

Lund smiles as he moves towards his parents embracing his mother first then his father. "It's good to see both of you well." He leads them back towards to group. "I told you I would return safe mother. And I have a surprise for you." He first introduces Angus and Nessa once more mention Nessas skill as a dress maker. His smile brightens as he holds out his Hand to kiana. "And this mother Is Kiana. She isn't a dressmaker but she is a skilled healer.

Kiana steps forward on cue, her heart still racing as she bows her head and even dips a little in a sort of curtsy, "It's very nice to finally meet Lund's parents. You raised your son to be a perfect gentleman and a strong warrior as well." She know that one side would compliment his mother while the other complimented his father.

Lund's mother smiled at her, and laughed a little, "Are you sure you are speaking of our son?" Looking each of them over, she nodded as if in approval, "You bring home with you so many friends that will be such wonderful additions to our keep. Our healer, old Bertha, passed away a few months ago and we have been without one. Your services would be greatly appreciated... Kiana was it?"

She nodded, "It would be my honor. I am still young but I am not without training and I learn something new every day." This was looking promising...

Lund smiles softly as he gently wraps an arm around Kianas waist. His arm is slightly tense almost as if bracing himself for what has to come next. "She is also the woman I've asked to marry me." He glances at his parents then his sister. His last glance is to his brother who seems to be alittle angry. Lund swallows watching his brother walk away from the sma gathering. He gives Kianas waist a gentle squeeze.

Kiana was just about to pull away from Lund's grasp when she realized just how tense he was as he held onto her. Before she could question why or stop him from doing it, the truth of their situation came spilling from his lips. Instantly, everyone around him seemed to pale. This sudden deceleration unforeseen by anyone there. Everyone had a different reaction.

Nessa could not believe he had gone against Kiana's wishes to downplay the relationship for a little while. Her jaw hung open. Angus held a smirk across his lips. The look on his face showed how he admired Lund, yet how crazy Angus thought he was at the same time. Lily's face was a mix of shock with a hint of delight. It was clear from the start that she would be the one to accept the idea of Lund marrying Kiana at once. She's accept Lund marrying anyone really with the same look.

Then there were two of the more important reactions. Kiana stood there, feeling almost guilty. She had just walked into these people's lifes, wanted them to her like her so much, and if they were unhappy now because of this bold announcement from Lund it would be all her fault. She was pale white, her lips where were curved into a smile only moments ago were suddenly flipped into a light frown.

Lund's mother stood there, her face just shocked. It was not a happy look, nor was it a sad, disappointed look. It was just shocked. "Well..." she finally started, "this is certainly another surprise, Lund." His mother seemed to look more towards her husband for his reaction to the news. It looked like everything weighted most of all on the approval of the leader of the family.

Lund continues to hold on to Kiana seeming to draw alittle strength from her presence. He glances towards Angus and Nessa frowning at seeing their looks. He then glances towards lily seeing her approving smile. His own smile starts to fade as he steps towards his mother taking her hands. "Mother please try to understand." he glances toward his own father then swallowing.

His father stands there his own face standing there passively for a few moments. His own eyes glance towards Lunds mother. "We will need to discuss this first your mother and I." He takes her arm turning slighly
