His lips tasted so very good and she felt her heart beat rapidly in her beast from his kiss. Lord how she loved him. As their lips parted, she nodded her head, "I do need the time, but I meant what I said about your ring," she removed it again handing him it once more. "Me having it is a message that I don't know we should send to your family yet. If they disapprove of me, it will be easier if the never see me with this."

He allows himself a soft smile as he feels her kiss back slightly. He opens his eyes watching her tilting her head. He takes the ring slowly as he stares at it for a moment. His eyes glance back to her face as he slips the ring back on to his finger. "Ill take it for now Kiana but I still wish to marry you. I hope you will accept me." He goes out on a limb pressing his lips to hers softly once more.

Her lips did kiss back, as she seemed almost relaxed that he finally accepted his ring back. A soft sigh of relief seemed to leave her as she told him softly, "If I feel like you family can and has accepted me, even after they know who I am, where I have come from and... what has happened, then I shall accept your ring again."

He looks into her eyes stroking her cheek. "No one but the four of us has to know what happened in the mountains. Its no ones fault but the bandits." He wraps his arm around her waist pulling her close his lips almost touching hers again. "What will you do untill my parents accept you?"

"IF your parents accept me," she corrected him, her head moving to rest upon his shoulder, her arms wrapping her arms around him, just needing to be held at the moment, "I don't know. I suppose I can stay with Nessa and Angus. If we are going to lie it would be easy enough to lie and say I was a sister too one of them I suppose."

Lund smiles as he holds her close. His fingers stroking along her back gently as holds her close squeezing her gently. "Kiana...do you think you might be pregnant?" He lifts his head to look into her eyes studying her face and her reaction to his question. His thumb comes up to run along her lips as he waits for her response giving her time.

She bit her lip and shook her head, "I don't know. It was just a thought that came to me when-" she stopped and looked away, seeming to be afraid to finish her though, like it upset her. "One... one of the men. When he was... with me, he taunted me about putting a bastard in me." She looked like she was going to cry once again suddenly. "I won't know for sure for a week or so."

He gently turns her back to face him as he looks into her eyes. "Kiana you do realize theres more of a chance of the child being mine dont you?" He runs his finger along her braid smiling as he tugs on it softly. "And I would be happy if you were pregnant." He leans in kissing her softly. "I love you Kiana.

"Wouldn't you care?" she asked sadly. "Never knowing if the baby you had to look at every day was really yours or not? Never knowing if that child was destined to grow up and... and turn into a monster like the ones that did this? The apple does not fall far from the tree." She shook her head a little, "I don't know if I could do it. If I could look at that child and have to face my rapists over and over again every time I looked at them." Kiana's eyes welled up once again, she didn't know if she could hold them back this time.

He moves to her slowly taking her in his arms slowly. "Dont say that Kiana. The chances are higher for it to be ours then one them." He reaches out to place his hand against her cheek. "Lets just get some sleep darling. We can sort all of this out when the time comes for it alright." He places a soft kiss on her cheek before turning away.

He moves to strip a couple of sheets off the bed turning back to her. "Would you like me to sleep on the floor tonight?"

She shook her head, "Let me sleep in your arms tonight. Please? We might not get the chance to again for awhile so I just... I need this night to last me until we can once again." Kiana removed the dress, having put the shirt he had given her the day before as a new shift for herself. Wearing only that shirt, she climbed into the bed, leaving space for him beside her.

He nods softly as he moves to lay beside her. He douses the candle before wrapping his arm around her waist pulling her close. He lays his head on her shoulder breathing in her scent. "Ill always have a space for you in my heart and my arms Kiana. No matter what you decide." He kisses her neck as he tugs the blankets over them squeezing her close.

The night was so peaceful. Kiana really loved being in his arms while they slept through the night and even loved more to wake and find herself gazing upon his sleeping face. She hoped they would like her. She didn't want to think about not being able to wake to this sight every day for the rest of her life. Rising, trying not to wake him, she slipped from his grasp, she went to the water basin and washed her face. Slipping her dress back on over her head, she walked to the window to open it, letting in the morning air.

She sighed as she took the air into her lungs.

Then, something in the distance caught her attention. A group of riders, coming towards the inn. The looked to be riding hard and fast. She didn't know who they were, but they looked rather important. Something told her word of Lund's return had reached farther then the inn.

Lund sleeps throughout the night and for once he doesnt toss and turn but simple holds her close. He sleeps on as she moves out of his arms. With her gone it causes him to shift slightly pulling the blankets closer as he whispers her name in his sleep. His arm comes out from under the blankets showing off his signet ring as he feels the fresh air from outside smiling softly as he stirs.

He sits up slowly as he does his own sneaking out of the bed and moving to stand behind her. His fingers ease along her waist as he nuzzles her neck pulling her close. "Good morning love. Did you sleep well?"

"Fine, but I think we are about to have some company..." she told him as she pointed out the window to the approaching riders. The lead rider looking rather well to do in his fine clothing as he rode a top a mighty horse. "Family? Friends? I think they might just know you are here."

Lund rubs his chin as he steps up next to her studying the riders from the distance that is quickly fading. "The lead rider is going to be either my brother or the captain of the guard." He quickly splashes some water on his face before slipping his shirt on tucking it in. "If its my brother it means the incident with the General reached my parents. Which means alot of explaining to do." He smiles as he buckles on his sword kissing her cheek. "Will you get Angus for me?"

The lead rider is indeed his older brother who spurs his horse faster towards the inn. His horse seeming to be of finer stock as is outpaces the soldiers riding with him. He pulls the horse up inside the courtyard of the inn looking around at the windows giving the soldiers just a moment to catch up with him.

Kiana quickly left the room, going to knock and Angus and Nessa's door next door. Angus cracked open the door, holding a blanket around his waist. I was clear what they had done the night before. "Lund needs you. There are riders outside. He thinks it might be his brother..." she told him.

Angus closed the door and tossed on his clothing quickly before he opened it again, "Kiana, you wait here with Nessa till one of us comes up for you," he told her as she gave Nessa a parting kiss and went swiftly to Lund's side. "So, what are we dealing with?"

Lund moves down to the general room motioning Angus over. "I believe my brother is riding in with a few of our house soldiers. If he's leading them here then it means my family knows about what happened with the general." He begins drumming his fingers on the table surface swallowing as he waits for the door to open.

Lunds brother slips out of the saddle as his guards join him. He motions them out to scan the grounds before heading inside. Just inside the door way the resemblance between them is easy to see with Lund being just an inch or two taller.

"Can you see anything," asked Kiana as Nessa peaked her head out the window, looking down over the riders in the courtyard below.

"Five riders, the head one looks like he could almost be Lund's twin... but he older," Nessa relayed to her, adding as he rider got off his horse and went into the doors of the inn below, "And a bit shorter..."

"It must be his brother," Kiana said, a little worried. She had hoped for a few more days with Lund to herself, but that was clearly not going to happen now. Lund's mention of his brother not being as understanding as his sisters left her only to worry all the more as she waited for word from below.

((Do you want to play the brother or me? And if me, what would you picture him to be like?))

Lund glances up as he sips at a cup of tea. He stands slowly as he spots his bother. His own nervousness comes through as he tugs on his shirt trying to straighten it. He sips his tea as he sits down motion angus to join him. "Just try to stay calm and let's not mention the ladies till we know why he's come." Lund sits sipping his tea slowly.

Jak walks across the inn leaning over the table studying his bothers face. "Well it seems you finally came home. It's about time you decided to return." Lund smirks softly as he shrugs. "I figure I had to come back and keep you out of trouble brother. "

Angus gives a brief nod to show both his understanding and his agreement with Lund's statement about not mentioning the girls upstairs for the time being. He was perfect at staying calm really as he became almost jolly as he drank his morning mead. Not even Angus could pretend to like tea.

Meanwhile, Kiana was already pacing the room up above. "I wish I knew what they were saying down there!" she groaned in frustration...

LUnd seems to be perfectly content to sit there and sip at his tea despite the fact he wish he had a cup of mead. He glances over at Angus then back to his brother. "What is it exactly that brings you out here so far?" He smiles as he leans back in his seat running his fingers along the edge of the cup.

Jak sits down ordering a glass of mulled wine. "Your little stunt with the general as you were leaving the army. I see your friend who was involved but the reports also indicated two women. What is it youve gotten yourself into brother?" Lund glances down at the tea. "I only did what I had to do. My friend can attest to that."

"Indeed," Angus chimed in to support Lund's claim. "We were free agents, free to leave whenever. The general knew that but he was greedy. He wanted what we took with us.... my wife." He saw no reason to hide at least that fact, he did know of the girls but he left out any other information about the other girl and the fact they were both upstairs at that moment. "What happened was done only in defense of what is rightfully, by law, mine. If the general had just let us go, we would not have had to defend ourselves."

Jak glances at Angus as he speaks studying him as if sizing him up. He shakes his head as he sips at his wine. "Be that as it may. You have both causes a stir that is not very good. The general was a cousin to the king." Lund slams his fist down on the table as he stands showing abit of his temper. "Angus and I defended ourselves. If you cant buy that then we dont need to be speaking. Instead Ill speak my peace to our parents."

Jak shakes his head turning to look at two of his soldiers who enter shaking their heads. His eyes glance upwards at the rooms upstairs and they nod heading up the stairs loud enough to alert Nessa and Kiana. "Angus will you go make sure they dont disturb your wife."

Angus did not feel right about leaving Lund to face his brother alone, but he knew that the girls were likely in a bit of a panic hearing the solders climbing the stairs. He nodded and calmly left, climbing the stairs, but the moment he was out of sight, quickened his pace to reach the room the girls were in before the soldiers did. Entering, he was meet at once by a worried Kiana, "What is going on down there?"

"News of the general's death has reached her. That bastard was a cousin to the king and things look a bit rocky at the moment." He lowered his voice as he drew both girls close, "They know you were with us during the escape. It would be best if we tell them that you, Kiana, are Nessa's sister. It would look far more favorable if they were to believe you my family though birth."

She nodded, "I had the same idea myself, but... what about Lund?"
