Ina dug her heels into the ground when he appeared in front of her, the sudden stop would’ve made her fall if Belail hadn’t caught her, but then she was thrown to the ground anyway and winced at the impact. She grasped his wrist with both hands but didn’t struggle as she knew it would do no good and didn’t want to waist the energy. She gazed up at him, not listening to his words as her mind worked incessantly continuing the spell in her head. It was never a good plan to speak the words in one’s mind as stray thoughts could enter and mess the spell up, possibly spelling disaster, but she had no choice. She smirked as his weight lifted and she spoke one word, barely more than a whisper: "Somnium." Her body went completely limp, then it faded to a grey smoke and dissipated before Belail’s eyes. It had not been a spell against him, nor one of any offensive kind, not even one of a defensive kind, but she was no longer there, nor could her presence be felt anywhere.
Amaya watched his tirade boredly, not really caring, but after he finished she muttered, “Actually I don’t really know it that well, I know the back streets and the alleys, and I know the holes to hid in, but I rarely use the main streets and it generally takes me longer to get anywhere I go.” She took the book with the spell he’d indicated and studied it closely, not wanting to mess it up. So far she’d only done a couple small spells, this would be biggest and the most dangerous.
Maeva looked at Af worriedly as he spoke, relief crossing her face as he assured her he was alright. She nodded, “Yes, that seems like a good idea, we won’t be able to help anything if our minds are worried about our stomachs.” She followed him to the table, sitting at his right hand with a worried sigh.
Dara couldn’t help but smirk at Abdiel’s comment about Amaya being mad at him, for all they knew she’d joined the Sanguis and was plotting to kill them all, but he was still worried about making her mad. He caught up to his friend and walked along side him, placing a hand on his shoulder, “We’ll find her Ab, I’m sure of it.” He looked worriedly towards the shelters, his mate was there and he’d hoped she’d been inside and the walls had been thick enough to shield her from the dreadful noise. He wanted to check on her but knew she was tough so he followed after Abdiel silently.”
Du’an looked at her as she stuck her head out the door and smiled at her comment, “He is scary, and he can do a lot worse than that.” He stumbled to the side as she pushed past him and watched her run to the barn, he started after her, breaking into a run as she came out screaming. “What’s wrong?” he asked taking her shoulders as he listened to her speak. He’d already started heading toward them when she asked him to. He stepped into the barn and grimaced at the sight, but reached his mind out to them, wincing as his touched theirs at the turmoil in their minds. He wanted to pull away but pushed further in, determined to stop them. Finally getting into their minds he pulled at them, sending calming waves and trying to make them stop eating the hapless edg’va.
