If You Only Knew [XxMoonlightRomancexX & Warr]

He saw the cuts and bruises that peppered her body, and he stared for a moment, trying to process how he was feeling. "Well..." he said as he looked from scar to scar, cut to cut, bruise to bruise. "I won't lie, I think I'm gonna hunt down this son of a bitch and murder him right then and there...whoever he was..." He was livid. how DARE someone hurt her like this.

Roxanne looked up at him, watching his eyes as he looked over the marks that covered her body. "No, you aren't. He isn't worth it, my wolf." She said, standing on her tip toes and kissing Adam on the cheek in an attempt to calm him down and distract him from the marks on her body. "Shh... Calm down, Adam." Roxanne whispered into his ear in a soft, calming tone. "Why not just focus on us for a little?" Roxanne asked, knowing showing him the rest of them could wait a little bit. After all, if he was this livid over the more minor ones she didn't want to think how pissed he would be when he saw the ones her t-shirt covered.

She was right. she needed the attention right now. So he looked over her body, gently touching her wounds and wincing. Some of them even seemed fresh, which worried him. Whoever did this had to have done this recently. "These are pretty bad, Roxy," He stated the obvious. "Does anyone else know?"

Roxanne was glad to see the livid look in his eyes begin to fade as he looked over her body. When his hands began to touch her wounds, even with the gentlest of touches, Roxy winced with him. "Yeah, I know and damn near all of them have been done over the past two or three days." She said, figuring she owed him that much. He deserved to know when the last beating was. "No, you are the only one who knows and please don't tell Mom and Dad." She said, knowing if her father knew he would be ready to hunt the son of a bitch who did this down, too. Roxanne seemed hesitant to ask her next question. "W.. Would you like to see the rest of them, that way you know everything?" She asked, wanting him to know about every last mark on her body.

Well he HAD to tell mom and dad,, lord knew when she was involved he owed it to her that much to try and help her. The dread hit him even harder when he asked to see the REST of them. the rest of them!? She was hurt even more?! Jesus, the second he found out who this scum bag was, he'd break his god damn neck. But he needed to remain calm. He took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah..." he said."Yeah, show me."

Roxanne watched, looking up into his Emerald Green eyes with her own as she asked if he wanted to see the rest of them and when the question finally registered in his mind she noticed the livid look return to his eyes for just a second before he was able to calm himself. When he nodded and told her to show him she removed her t-shirt and the pajama bottoms so that she was only left in her bra and thong. She then tried to read his reaction as the ones one her torso, especially the almost black one that covered most of the skin over her rib cage on the right side, was revealed. Her legs weren't as bad as her torso. In fact, they were only about as bad as her arms.

"Oh god, Roxy!" he exclaimed. "Roxy, how the hell long has this been going on! Someone's really going out of his way to hurt you...' he said, as one hand reached up to stroke the intense bruises on her right side, his eye twitching. He needed to remain calm. "God, dammit Roxy this isn't good..." he said, worry lacing his voice. Worry and anger. Worry for her. Anger for the fucker who did this. "Roxy stop trying to defend the guy doing this and just tell me.'

It probably started a few months after you left for school last year." She said, unable to keep from wincing and whimpering in pain as he reached up to stroke the intense bruises on her right side. "I know it's not good, Adam." Roxy said, her voice laced with intense pain as she spoke. As she listened to her brother speak she could hear the anger and worry in his. "I'm not trying to defend him and I'm not telling you who he is. I've taken care of it, I broke up with him a few days ago. That was when he did this." She said, nodding down to the intense bruises on her right side. "You nor Dad are going after him, it would only make things worse." She said to him, trying to focus on her breathing instead of the pain that ripped through her as he stroke the worst of her wounds.

A boyfriend. Of course it was her boyfriend who fucking did this. He frowned a little bit and gently touched the wound, perhaps a little longer than he would have liked, but he shook his head. "We need to get these taken care." he said. "Have you even been treating the wounds?" He asked as he stood up, trying to remember what got rid of bruises the best. Ice, right?

Roxanne continued to whimper in pain as Adam's hand stayed on he trail of wounds on the right side of her torso, her eyes stayed looking up at him. When Adam shook his head, Roxy couldn't help but feel ashamed and weak. In addition to that, she felt like Adam hated her for letting this happened while he was away at school, even when she knew he could never hate her. "Yeah, I've been treating them. Well, except the one's your touching. They hurt too bad to touch, Adam." She explained to her brother, Roxy's voice still laced with pain as she did.

"I'll go grab some ice." he said to her as he walked back itno the kitchen, grabbing a plastic bag and filling it with ice from the freezer. He walked back in and took a seat beside her. "Since it hurts too much and you're rather...fidgity, I'll do it okay?" he asked her. "it'll hurt a lot but it should at least make it go away."he chuckled. "Just like what mom used to do hm?" he asked, pressing the bag against the immense bruise on her side.

As he went to get some ice to put on her wounds Roxy sat on the couch, still only in her underwear and bra and as she sat there part of her wandered if she had made the right choice by showing the wounds to Adam. When he returned with a bag of ice and took a seat beside her, Roxanne's eyes went to look into his. "Okay. Thank you, Adam." She said in a tone that wasn't much above a whisper. It helped her relax a bit when she heard him chuckle. "Yeah, I remember." She said with a small smile. When he pressed the bag of ice against the bruise on her side she winced, whimpering as she felt the ice cold hit the sensitive black and blue skin. She closed her eyes and bit down on her lips, continuing to whimper as she did. Clearly she was doing all she could not to scream out in pain.

He hated seeing her in pain, and this position just wasn't doing it for them right now. It was awkward and crooked. So he adjusted a little bit so she was leaning back against his chest, which allowed him to place the bag on her ribs more comfortably. "There." he said as his other arm wrapped around her comfortably, trying to give her some form of comfort.

"That any better?" he asked.

Roxanne didn't fight him when he gently pushed her down so that her head was rested on her chest and so that he could place the back on her ribs more easily. She closed her eyes, taking comfort in feeling his arm wrapped around her. Feeling his arm around her made her feel both comfort and protection. "A little." She said, sounding as if she were tired and about to fall asleep. Now that his arm was around her, Roxy's whimpering from the pain had stopped but now she was starting to shiver from the coldness of the ice against her bare skin.

"I know it sucks, I know." he said softly, stroking her stomach a little bit as he kept the plastic against her bruised skin. "But in the end it'll help it, at least a little bit." he said as he lifted up one leg so she had more room to lean against him. He just stared ahead, trying to ignore the fact his sister, half naked, was pressed up against his chest, his arms around her. He gulped a little. now was not the time. "Remember whne mom used to do this when you fell off your bike?"

She smiled as she kept her eyes closed, him stroking her stomach with a light touch helped even more to keep her mind off of the pain as his other hand kept the plastic bag against her bruised skin. "Yeah, I remember." She said with a smile as she opened her eyes to look up at Adam. "What's wrong?" She asked as she noticed him looking ahead instead of down at her. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked, leaning against him more when he moved his leg so that she had more room.

"I'm just thinking." he said to her, idly as he pressed her a little closer to him. Well, he was in honesty. He was thinking about...well, anything other than being even marginally turned on right now, and he was thinking of...well, he tried to remember what the name of her boyfriend was. She did mention him a few times in a few texts, and it was on the tip of his tongue. Argh, who was it again...

"You're trying to remember his name, aren't you?" Roxanne asked, it was almost as if she had read his mind. Roxanne smiled, some how feeling safer as he pressed her closer to his body. "If you want to know his name is Brent, and he isn't my boyfriend anymore. I broke up with him a few days ago." Roxy told him as she closed her eyes once again. "Please, just don't go after him, my wolf."

"Ah, Brent, a douchebag name if I ever heard one." he said with a scowl, pulling her closer. "Hm...." He didn't want to promise her something he couldn't keep. He had hurt HIS Roxanne. HIS Sister. He was fiercely protective of her, nearly all of their friends knew, since they were kids. Whoever this brent fucker was, he was gonna pay. He'd just need to do it when she wasn't even looking. But for now...

"Fine." he huffed. "I won't murder him."

Roxanne couldn't help but smile at what he said as her body was pulled closer to Adam's. Some part of her, the part of her that knew she loved her brother far more than she should, loved the feeling of his body against her's. Sure, she knew they would never be more then siblings, but it was nice to let herself believe otherwise for a little bit. When she heard him promise her that she wouldn't kill him Roxanne felt revealed. Sure, she wished that Adam would leave Brent alone, but she knew how possessive and protective he was over her. Many of her friends over the years had said that Adam put them in mind of a wolf protecting his mate. As Roxanne laid there, her head rested against Adam's chest with her eyes closed, she couldn't help but to think back on her friends comments and as she did it gave her some hope that maybe he did feel the same way; maybe he saw her as much more than his baby sister.

"You know I love you, right?" he asked her softly, looking at the wall in front of him. "You know I really don't like when people touch you like Brent did." he said as he applied a little more pressure on the plastic bag on her ribs. "By the way is that feeling any better?" He asked, almost as if they'd be instant. "I mena, it has to be numb by now."

"Yes, my wolf, I know you love me and I've never questioned that you do." She said, opening her eyes once again to look up at him. Roxanne couldn't help but frown when she saw he wasn't looking at her, but instead at the wall. "Yeah, I know you don't and I don't expect you to, Adam. Nobody should be okay with letting someone touch them like that but I think I put up with it because I was convinced he would love me if I let him do whatever." She explained, not expecting Adam to understand it. This time, when he applied pressure to the cold pressure bag, Roxy didn't wince or whimper in pain, the cold having pretty much numbed her right side. "Yeah, it's feeling better and it's pretty much numb now."

"So what else did this Brent guy do that I should be aware of? He asked. "I mean, I'm not gonna go after him I swear, I just need to pile on the reasons about why he's the scum of the earth adn that there's a special place in hell for what he's done." He said. Yeah, sure, let's go with that. Just to pile it on. "Besides, you should try to find someone who'll love you despite what you do, not to completely change who you are." He paused. "I hate being deep and philosophical." he laughed.

"He raped me." She said simply, not looking at him and instead looking down at the floor as she said this. Then, it was almost as if Roxanne had read Adam's mind and knew exactly what planned to do to Brent, once he was given the chance. "The least you can do is be honest with me about what you plan on doing to him. You seem to forget that you and I have always been able to read each other like a book. I know the first chance you get you are going to go out, hunt him down and beat him within an inch of his life and that the only reason you wouldn't kill the scum bag is so you can keep your promise." She said, sounding pissed off that Adam wasn't being honest with her. "Yeah, you're right, but the guy I want I can't have!" She said, able to feel water against her skin as the ice in the plastic bag that Adam was holding to her side started to melt. "Take that off, my side is numb and the ice has helped all its going to." Roxy said, still not looking up at him. She didn't even laugh at his last comment like she normally would have. After a few minutes of silence, Roxanne spoke again. "I'm sorry I went off on you, Adam." She apologized, looking up at him as she spoke this time. "I've just been so stressed with Brent lately." She added, hoping he didn't ask who this guy that she liked was.

He kissed the top of her head when she apologized for snapping at him, shaking his head. "You know, you saying that this guy is doing almost everything to hurt you and not expecting me to hurt him, or at the least call the cops on his ass, is just getting harder and harder, Roxy." he said softly. "And don't say you're sorry, you're just venting right now, anyone in your position would. It's natural. If you wanna scream and shout then just tell me, it'll be good for you I promise."
