The New Slave

"Figure something out," was all the girl said. She crossed her arms and looked over at him. "Can we go now?"

He paused and said "What will you do for me in return? Just curious."

Ariadne watched him in confusion. "What will I do for you?" she asked. She thought about it. She didn't know. She wouldn't offer sex. She didn't know what else he wanted. "How bout I'll marry you," she said. At least she could have a good wedding. Divorce him later if she wanted. "Or I won't tell my parents what you've done to me."

Ariadne frowned and stood up. "Can we go, then?" she asked. She didn't want to be with him, but there were ways out.

He nodded, and slowly got himself ready, while waiting for her to do the same.

She got up and got dressed, combing her red hair and sitting back down on the bed when she was done. She looked up at him when he finished. She couldn't believe he trusted her enough to take her out of this prison.

He kissed her on the cheek, and said "Don't even think about divorcing me. The world is dangerous for me if I'm alone. Thank you."

Ariadne huffed as he kissed her. She growled and shook her head. "How so?" she asked, standing up and following him to the car.

He explained "My family had enemies everywhere, and they're back, to finish what they started. They want to kill me."

"Doesn't that just put me in danger, too?" she asked. "If you loved me you'd let me leave so I'd be safe." She crossed her arms as they got to the door, and she waited for him to unlock the door. "They could just kidnap me to get to you. And if I have a baby, they'll kill it, too."

He said "Good point, but I want you by my side. I'll sacrifice my life if I have to."

Ariadne didn't see his rationale. She sighed and gave him the address for her house, and waited for him to take her there.

He asked "How long will it take, sweetheart?", before getting his car ready.

"I don't know," she murmured. "I have no idea where we are." She crossed her arms and sat in the front seat, as close to the door as possible.

He drove off, looking for her parent's house. He asked "Do you really love me, or not?"

Ariadne glared at him and rolled her eyes. "No. Have I ever told you I love you?" she asked. She leaned her head on the window and growled.

He said "You'll learn to love me. I'm a great guy." They were about half way there now.

"Who bought himself a wife," she muttered. She ignored him the rest of the way, hoping he'd just leave her alone. She was sure her parents were worried about her. Hopefully they wouldn't let her leave again.

He got there, introduced himself to her parents and said "I saved your daughter from a fate much worse than death. But our relationship was rather... Bumpy.. But I really want to marry her."
