Looks change but do people (Frelance & Notte)

Mercy closed her eyes and rested her head against Jason's shoulder, looking both like a child and a matured woman. A mix of innocents and knowledge or a life that had seen to much. "I don't know if I will ever be safe with him out there." She sighed and buried her face deeper into the hollow of his neck, "Not while the nightmare of Romania follows me." Her arms wrapped up around his back and her fingers seemed to dig in to his flesh through her shirt. As if she were trying to protect them both from the evils of the world. The empty look in her eyes faded away as a fierce fire started to rage within their depths. A look that said she wouldn't be defeated and no one would harm the person that she loved.

Jace watched the encounter and when she saw Mercy's eyes start to change, she knew exactly what it meant. For she had seen that look before, one of such fierce loyalty and protection. Without looking, her hand found Jadien's, and she leaned her head against his shoulder. On the outside it looked like it was merely a comforting gesture between siblings, but the truth was that it was so much more intimate. When Jadien's hand tightened around hers, she knew that he felt the same way as well. Taking as much comfort and intimacy that they could in that one act.

Mercy didn't say anything at Jason's comment, but she looked up at him and smiled a secret knowing smile that was only between them. She looked over at the others and nodded her head as a goodbye, not sure if she was able to speak past the way that she was feeling. The contradicting emotions swirling around inside her like a tornado. When they got into the taxi, Mercy leaned her head against Jason's shoulder and when his arm came around her, she put her own on his chest and over his heart. "I will be fine, because I have you." The feel of his fingers running through her hair and the lull of the taxi drive made her drowsy and when they pulled up to her house she was nearly asleep.

Jadien dropped his arms around Jace's shoulders, making it look completely casual, a smile tugging at his lips. "Sure, lets go, I'm up for some popcorn too." As they started to walk back towards the theater, Jadien threw a look over his shoulder back at Clark and couldn't wipe off the shit-eating grin from his face. "So, Clark, did you hear that again part?"

Mercy gave out a little kitten yawn as the taxi pulled to a stop in front of her house and she blinked her eyes a few times to bring the focus back. She must have taken a quick catnap. When Jason spoke of getting undress, her heart went aflutter with excitement and something foreign. The memory of their time in the bath together coming back with a full force and her body started to tingle and react. When her dress was removed and he kissed the back of her neck, Mercy's head feel back with pleasure and she watched him with half lidded eyes as he undid her corset. When he just stayed behind her, she turned around to look at him and raising his head up, she placed her lips against his in a delicate heartfelt kiss before pulling away. Lifting up one small foot, she put it on his thigh and slowly she rolled down her stockings one by one and took them off.

When she was finished, she hooked her fingers into her underwear and slowly slid them down over her hips and legs before she stepped out of those as well. She stood completely naked before him and she walked into his arms once again, pressing her body against his clothed one and enjoying the feel of it. However, skin to clothing just wasn't enough and her hands came forward to undue the buttons on his shirt. She slid it off down his arms and let it drop to the floor. Stepping back, she took his hand and tugged until he stood up. Tilting her head back, she looked up into his eyes and smiled, "Jason, what would I ever do without you?" It was deep and heartfelt and she meant it in every way imaginable. "I just wouldn't be me without you." As she spoke, her hands ran down his chest and she took hold of his jeans, fighting with the button for a moment before they became loose and fell to the floor around his ankles. When she tugged forward again, he stepped out of them, and was left in only his boxers. In which Mercy was still to shy to take those off of him.

She walked with him to the bed, holding his hand, and climbed the stairs to get into bed first. After a moment, he joined her, and she pulled the covers over them, wrapping her arms around Jason's torso and her leg slid across his hips. She pushed her body up slightly and kissed him, wanting to be as close to him as possible. "Goodnight, Jason." After just a few moments, her body relaxed and the tension out of the day drained out of her, letting her fall into a peace filled slumber where there was only her and Jason.

“I will keep you safe. Keep me close and I will protect you from it.” His words were rough but he stayed strong and kept his tears back. He had lost everything that he loved at one time or another in his life. He would not loose Mercy again, it had been hard enough to pull himself back together when she was taken from him. He didn’t think he would be able to do it again. Jason smiled at her words and kept running his fingers through her hair. “You will always have me. Even when I am not there I am yours.” He let his eyes close until they had to get out of the taxi.

Clark looked up at Jadien and there was a hint of something dark in the depths of his eyes but within a second his grin mirrored the other mans as he laughed. “Well its time he got something. He waited long enough.” He laughed again until Linday squeezed his hand and glared up at him. “Oh shut up you two. I am happy they have each other finally. You two don’t know when to leave something unsaid.” Even though she was scolding them Clark saw the ghost of a smile on her lips. She had not realized what Jason had said but now that Jadien had pointed it out she couldn’t help but smile. Clark couldn’t help put get one last comment in though. “Jadien just imagine how awkward that would be for them.” He paused then added as if they wouldn’t get it but he wanted to make sure they got it the way he was thinking. “With the difference in height and all. Ouch!” He looked at Linday who was glaring daggers at him and had stomped on his foot. “What everyone was thinking it I just staid it.” Shaking her head she pulled him into the theater and walked past the line for tickets and into the lines for snacks.

Jason let his eye roam over her exquisite figure until he was looking into her eyes. He leaned into the kiss as he reached up and ran his fingers through her hair. Despite how tired he felt he could feel himself getting excited as she slowly undressed less than a foot from him. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around her while she pressed herself against him. He leaned is head forward and let it lay on her shoulder loving the feeling until she pulled back slightly and started to undo his shirt. When the last button was undo he let it slip down and off his hands as he moved his arms behind his back. He stood with no resistance but couldn't help but his smiled had more loving feel to it as he heard her words. “If it weren’t for you I would not be me either.” He put his hands on her shoulders and moved them towards her neck then up his as she undid his jeans and let them slip down his legs. He started walking out of them as she pulled him out. He chuckled a little as he noticed she didn’t go for his boxers, a few seconds later he slipped out of them then let her lead him to the bed.

As she climbed into the bed he watched her and wondered how luckily he was to have met her when he did. His hand went to his arm again and ran his fingers over the scars that were just slightly lighter than his skin. When she was in the bed he slipped in beside her and relaxed after helping her pull up the covers. “Goodnight Mercy.” He put his arm around her and lay there for a few minutes thinking about how natural it felt to have Mercy with him again. But soon he had fallen asleep again.

In the morning the maid walked into the room quietly quickly looking around as she walked over to the curtains and spoke in a clear voice. “Mistress Suou, Master. It is time to get up for school.” She took a steps back before turning and heading into dressing room and picking up the clothes they had left there.

Jason woke immediately when the maid spoke and tensed but had even presence of mind not to sit up with Mercy laying next to him. After a moment he realized who it must be and groaned softly as he remembered the first time he had stayed over and something similar had happened then as well. He lay there for a minute longer listening to the maid moving through the room before brushed a few strands of hair out of Mercy's face as he spoke softly and shook her lightly. "Mercy. Time to get up." As he spoke he sat up slowly using his arms to support Mercy then he lay her down again and started to pull back the curtain when he realized he was still naked and his clothing was in the dressing room.

HE cursed softly then carefully he pulled a thin sheet from the bed and wrapped it around himself before he pulled back the curtain and stood up. He took about three steps before he froze as the maid walked out of the dressing room with his clothes in her hands. "I um." He could feel himself blushing and hated it. "I will take those thanks." He tried to keep eye contact with her but after a few seconds he looked away as he took his clothes and headed for the bathroom. He had only take a few steps before he heard her speaking to him again. "Master, would you like a tea or coffee before you leave." Jason cringed when she called him master not liking the word at all but he looked back at her. "A coffee will be fine. Lots of sugar and cream." She nodded and Jason walked into the bathroom closing the door but not locking it then started to get dressed. He was going to have to go back to his place as soon as possible so he could get a change of clothes.

The maid, Miranda, varied a bit differently from her normal routine, knowing how difficult it could be to get her Mistress up. However, with the Mistress visitor, she didn't want to interrupt anything that may or may not be going on behind the curtains covering the bed. She had been working for the Suou's ever since Mercy had been born. First hired on as a wet nurse, then a Nanny, and now she took care of her full time. It had been five years since she had last seen Master Jason, knowing that he and Mercy were bound together by fate, she had no doubt that when the Mistress came back that she would see him again. Even though he was as uncomfortable now, if not more so, then he was when he was a child.

When Jason walked into the bathroom to dress, Miranda moved forward and pulled back the curtains on the bed. "Mistress Suou, it is time to wake up. Breakfast, tea, and the coffe is going to be served in just a few moments for you and the Master. Are you going to take it naked?" At the instant noise, Mercy finally woke up and groaned, stretching like a kitten. She sat up and rubbed her eyes before looked over at Miranda with a mixture of annoyance and adoration. "Miranda, how many times have I told you to call me Mercy. Mistress Suou is what my mother is called and I would rather not be compared to that vile woman."

Miranda just nodded her head and held out her hand as Mercy crawled forward to the edge of the bed and walked down the steps. She was used to the nakedness and it did not bother her, but her mind couldn't help going over the fact that Jason was naked as well. Her Mistress' virtue was still in question, but if it was lost to Master Jason, then she had no problem with it. Walking with Mercy over to the dresser, Miranda took out clothes and started to efficiently dress her with a known swiftness. "Mistress, I fear that we may have to get new corsets, your bust seems to have gotten bigger again." A distressed noise crawled out of Mercy's throat, "Bigger? They can't get any bigger! They are overly large already." Miranda pursed her lips and looked Mercy in the eyes. "Now, Mistress, I know we have talked about this before, but seeing as how Master Jason has spent the night, I believe we need to go over it again." With that, Miranda launched off into a sex talk, trying to prepare Mercy for the pain that could possibly come from the copulation, and finally she ended with how being sexual can make a woman's breast heavier. By the end of the talk Mercy's cheeks were bright red and she was happy that Jason hadn't been there to hear Miranda's talk.

When she was finished being dressed, she looked over herself in the mirror. A white lolita dress with black trimming and bows and lace, black stalkings to accentuate the whiteness, and white Mary Jane shoes. She waked over to the vanity and Miranda brushed out her hair. Jason had joined them back in the room redressed in the clothes her wore from yesterday and Mercy's cheeks pinkened, wanting to suggest how he should bring some of his clothes over here, but unsure of how to brooch that subject.

They ate breakfast together and chatted about nothing in particular, Miranda having left the room when the breakfast had been served. When they finished, they grabbed their things and walked out of the house and got into the family car that was waiting for them. When they got to school, they scooted out of the car and Mercy tensed up slightly, her hand holding onto Jason's. "I'm a bit afraid, I don't want anything bad to happen." Yesterday's incidents with Stefan crossed through her mind and then she remembered that she would have to face Mia as well. She rolled her eyes and gave Jason an encouraging smile that was both real and fake. "Let's just make it through the whole day, I don't want you to get into trouble." As she spoke, they walked to their History class. Stopping when they ran into the group. A few of the people who weren't their last night just looked at her as if questioning what the hell she was doing there. She moved and partially hid herself behind Jason, so she wouldn't be able to be seen.

Hands wrapped around her from behind and she had a brief flare of panic thinking that it was Stefan and she dropped her books to wrap her arms around Jason's neck. "Calm down Pixie, it is just me." Jadien's voice penetrated through her fear and she loosened her hands around Jason and looked back at him. "It isn't polite to come up behind people and especially not to lift them up! Where you trying to scare me?" Her voice was both pouty and friendly as Jadien brought her back into the view of the others in the group, Jace sliding up beside them and smiling at Mercy, "How are you today? Jadien is sorry." Jadien set Mercy back down in front of him next to Jason's side and looked up at the others, showing that she was apart of the group and belonged to Jason.

Jason looked at himself in the mirror and groaned as he ran his fingers of his face and felt the oil that had started to build up as he slept. He grabbed some soap and washed his face quickly. He used his fingers to comb back his hair a bit before he quickly got dressed. As he walked out of the bathroom he glanced over at Mercy and smiled at her then walked over to the bed grabbing his boots as he went. Sitting down on one of the steps he slipped on both boots and started to tighten the lace as he tried unsuccessfully to stifle a yawn. He looked up as he was tightening the other boot and started thinking about how familiar the maid was to him. It had been some time since he had seen her so he did not recognize her right away. He put his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands as he watched Mercy. He wasn't sure what to say, everything seemed wrong now that he was not alone with Mercy. He thought about it and wondered if it was the maid that made him so nervous. He thought back to the time that he had been living with her and how even then he had felt nervous when he was around the maids that Mercy’s parents had hired.

When Miranda left the room Jason stood up and walked over to Mercy and put his hands on her shoulders. “You are so beautiful. I can’t get enough of you.” He stayed there smiling at her until their breakfast was brought in. As they ate he relaxed again and almost right away he was talking with her and not really thinking much about what they were talking about. He quickly finished his coffee then followed her out of the house and into the car that was waiting to take them to the school. He felt the slight tensing of the muscle in Mercy’s hand in his. He looked down at her and smiled trying to get her to relax a bit even as her words got him wondering how he would deal with Stefan in their math class. “If anything happens, Stefan will be the one who gets hurt.” He nodded and started walking with her. “Okay, but I will do whatever I need to keep you safe.” He squeezed her hand reassuringly as they walked into the school.

He smiled as he saw the group standing around near the history class but his smiled tightened when he saw the looks that they gave Mercy. He frowned and held her hand even as she moved behind him. “Back off, she has more to do with this family than most of you can even imagine.” He looked from one pair of eyes to another searching for the ones that would accept his words first. He assumed that they all would learn to deal with it eventually. He had no reason to think that they would do anything else, they had always accepted it when someone was brought into the group so why would they not accept Mercy as well.

He felt his hand being pulled up and he had to let go of Mercy’s hand just as her books hit the floor and he started to twist around to see what was happening. He stopped halfway when he saw that it was just Jadien. He gave Mercy a reassuring look as he put his hand on her arm and then turned back to face everyone else. He put his hand on Mercy’s outside shoulder so that she was right next to him. Jason glanced at Jadien. “Try to hold back on sneaking up on us for a bit will you.” He was smiling saintly betraying that he had found it slightly amusing, not that he would every admit it.

There was a low sound of disgust from the other side of the group as Mia watched everything with fire in her eyes. She pushed through the people in her way until she was glaring at Mercy. “Just because he knew you before you up and left him doesn’t mean he is yours.” She had kept her voice level but just barely. “You weren’t here when he pulled himself back together.” One of the other guys from the group who had just joined them over the summer spoke up. “No shit she wasn’t here too help him.” Linday had just walked up and listened to what was going on thinking that the guy was standing up against Mia but his next words saw that it was a setup. “Oh ya that’s right I forgot she was the one who broke him in the first place.” Before Jason could move to react Linday had walked up to the kid and slapped his which caused the rest of the group to go silent for a moment since Linday almost never hit anyone. She was usually the calm one and Clark was the one who dealt out punishment. “You have no idea what you talking about you little maggot. All your doing is listening to Mia and following her without really thinking about what she is saying.” She glared at the kid for a few more seconds then spun on her heel and moved to stand on Jason’s other side showing that she was with him.

Mia just glared at Linday. “Your just going to let her take Jason and pull this group apart?” She had directed the question to Linday but then she looked at Jadien and Jace before she looked around the rest of the group. “Are you all just going to let her take him from us?” She smiled to herself as she heard more than a few people muttering in the crowd.

Jason stepped forward getting a bit closer to Mia. “This group?” He growled slightly then glared at Mia. “That’s all this is to you? A group? I thought you had changed and I tried to help you but if you still think that we are just a group then you have been a waste of time. I have told everyone that we are a family.” Mia interrupted again cutting Jason off. “Everyone says that they are a family Jason. Every little group that wants to be cool says they are a family. It doesn’t make it true.” Jason was seething with anger as he glared at Mia. He clenched them unclenched his hands repeatedly wanting to hit her but he could not let himself do it. No matter how much she deserved it he could not let himself hit her.

When Jason said that she was more than the family then most of them could imagine, her heart thudded hard in her chest and she smiled. Giving his hand three squeezes to tell him that she loved him before Jadien had lifted her up. Jadien looked semi-sheepish when he got reprimanded by Jason, he didn’t mean to scare her, but he wanted to show that she was a member of this family. “Sorry Jason. I will be more careful with your precious Pixie.” He emphasized the ‘your’ so that some members of the group would pick up on the meaning. He tilted his head down so that he was halfway bent over Mercy so that she could see his face, “I’m sorry, Pixie.”

Mercy gave a little huff of annoyance, “would you stop calling me Pixie.” Jadien gave a little chuckle, but when someone in the group whispered Doll, he grew silent as Mercy tensed up. To try to relax her again, he teased, “but you are an enchanted Faerie meant to capture the hearts of men. Or well, at least one man.” He ruffled her hair slightly as she blushed and she moved closer to Jason, that’s when she heard that sound of disgust and she instinctively knew who it was. Her eyes narrowed as Mia came forward through the group. “I didn’t have a choice in not being here, you no good jealous twit. Do you really think I would have left him in the first place if I had a choice?” Her voice was low with a growl and she stepped forward, away from the protection of Jason and her other new friends. She looked up at the faces in the group and snarled like a cat. “You really fucking think that I wanted anything to happen to him! You have no fucking idea what I would do to protect him. No idea. So before you go getting all huffed up and acting like you know shit when you know nothing, tell me what kind of torture that you would endure for the person that you love.” That’s when she was interrupted by Linday slapping the kid and her jaw slightly dropped in a shocked surprise before she quickly closed it. When Linday turned around, Mercy smiled up at her and mouthed “Thank you.”

When Mia started barking again and Jason responded, Mercy laughed, it was high and girly, but there was bit of an evil undercurrent to it. She stood in front of Mia, completely unafraid and even though she was smaller than her, she seemed to look down her noise at Mia. A regal queen if there ever was one. “You fucking bitch, bend down so that I can slap you. I’m not going to take him away from his family. And the truth is you aren’t worried about anyone else in this group you two faced whore. The only thing that you are pissed off about is the fact that I have his attention and you don’t. Newsflash honey, Jason isn’t a fucking piece of meat that you can chew up and spit out when you’re done with this little phase of yours. He is a real human being, unlike you apparently, who deserves to be loved for everything that he is. You have no fucking idea what it means to be a family to someone, no fucking idea whatsoever to what it means to have someone be your everything.” As Mercy spoke, the first time losing her cool and actually swearing, it would have been cute for it to come from her mouth if the words weren’t so dark and cold enough to give frostbite. “My parents sent me to Romania with the threat of harm coming to Jason over my head. I fucking endured hours and days of being tortured, whipped, bound and beaten, and I took all of that with a smile and a fucking thank you. For five years, you frivolous cunt. Think you would do that for someone? I doubt it since you can’t pull your head out of your own ass long enough to really see anything outside of your own self-centered desires.”

Mia rose up her hand to strike Mercy, but Jace had caught her hand and held it above her head. Mercy eyed Mia with disgust and then turned around and walked into her classroom, not looking back at anyone for the fear that her temper would grow. She got to her desk and slammed her books down, trying to take a deep breath, and calm the whirling emotions inside of her. Against her will, a small hiccup of a cry escaped her throat as tears streaked down her cheeks. She looked up into the window and saw her reflection, saw the tears, and came to a resolve, just like she did after her first day in Romania. Anything to protect him…

Jason nodded his thanks to Jadien then turned his attention back to the group as a whole. He felt disappointed that they were reacting this way. He had thought that they were closer than this. HE had spent so much time around these people. They were not kids, he knew that every single one of the people in front of him had not been children for a long time. They may look youthful but their eyes always gave away at least a hint of the pain and torment they had lived through.

He shook his head in disgust as he looked around the group and saw the mistrust in their faces. “I really thought that we had grown closer than this.” He was going to turn and go into the classroom after taking Mercy’s hand but when she moved in front of him and started to speak but he could hear the cold anger in her voice and he stopped himself from turning away thinking that he would have heard everything before. He had moved up closer behind her and put his hand on her shoulder as he watched Mia through narrowed eyes.

Linday gave Mercy a quite smile at her thank you even though she was blushing deeply. She moved behind Jason and then Jadien using him as a shield as she composed herself again. She had surprised herself by her actions but at the same time it felt good to shut the kid up. Her attention was drawn back to the group and away from herself as Mercy started to get back at Mia. Jadien had looked over at her but she just gave him a quick smile and went back to watching Mercy. She was not sure how she would explain why she had hit the kid if she was asked but as she kept listening to Mercy she realized that her actions would be the last thing on anyones mind. A shiver went down her spine as Mercy spoke of the torture she had gone through but the shiver was one that she would have lied about if anyone had noticed. She knew what the bite of a whip felt like but she was sure that Mercy did not react to it the way she did.

Jason had looked down at Mercy as he heard what she had gone through to keep him safe. For five years they had threatened to harm him is she had not obeyed and smiled while she did it. HE had thought that his life had been hell without her there but he knew better now. What her parents forced her to endure made his life seem like heaven. His hands dropped from her shoulders as she turned and walked away into the classroom. He stood there for a few seconds still looking at where she had been standing then as the stunned group started to talk amongst themselves he moved away from the group and leaned against the lockers before letting himself slide down and rest with his knees bent up to his chest as he stared off into space. Later he would notice that this was the second time he seemed to shut down since Mercy had come back but at the moment his mind kept playing out her words and images of what his mind attached to each word flashed through his mind.

The voices started to get louder and more numerous as the seconds ticked by even with them arguing some sticking with Mia but most defending Mercy, Mia was completely silent as Jace let go of her hand went back to Jadien taking hold of his hand wanting to be with him and safe away from the turmoil of the voices all around them. Mia could not believe what she had heard. No it had to be a lie, no one would take five years of torture just to protect someone. Not even Jason was worth that. When she started to realize what was being said around her she knew she was losing the support she had gathered. She slipped back into the back of the crowed them slipped away mumbling that she had to go to class. She needed to come up with a way to show that Mercy was lying. It would turn everyone against her and she could have Jason for herself then.

After a minute or two the voices quitted again and after looked around the at everyone else one by one they all turned to look at Jason who had lowered his head not looking at anyone as he came to terms with what Mercy had gone through. He knew her words were nothing but the truth. He heard the group go silent but he did not get that they were all waiting for him to speak. It had always been that he had given a final verdict so it was out of habit that everyone turned to him but he was to out of it to see what was happening. Finally after what felt like ever someone broke off from the group and went to kneel in front of Jason. Reaching out and shaking his shoulder he spoke. “Jason. Snap out of it, you should be in there with Mercy, you need each other now.” Jason blinked a few times then looked only the see the guy Linday had slapped staring back at him. He watched as the hand print on his cheek slowly faded for a few seconds before he nodded and stood up. He looked around the group once then walked to the history classroom. It took everything he had not to fun in and scoop up Mercy into his arms. Instead he walked over to her desk and wrapped his arms around her as he knelt beside her and kissed her neck as his hands sought out hers so he could hold them as he spoke softly to her. “Thank you for being strong and thank you for coming back to me.” He kept thanking her for everything he could think of as those who were in the class already looked on and watched them silently. As more people walked in one person or another would hush them and the class room would go back to a hushed silence.

Inside her, war raged on as she was left alone staring in the window at her reflection. She wanted to scream, wanted to throw a fit, wanted to fight and give back every hurt twice as badly as she had it. However, she did none of those things. She stayed perfectly still, her hands gripping the sides of her desk until they had turned red and then white from how hard she was holding on. Her whole body was still like a statue, as it was when she took every punishment they handed to her. The tears that burned her eyes stopped falling as she looked into them in the window, almost hypnotizing herself.

She wasn’t aware of anything else that had gone on around the classroom, didn’t hear the whispers or feel the stares. Everything outside of her mind was still and made in stone. Inside there was only a whirlwind of screaming, of acceptance and denial. She knew that she shouldn’t have gone off like that one Mia, but that bitch had just gone too far and she had heard enough. She knew that Mia only wanted Jason for his prestige inside of the group, but didn’t feel anything for him outside of an obsession. Without a doubt in her mind, she knew that Mia would never have lived what she had to live through for a day, let alone five years.

The sharp razor of one of her fangs bit down into her lip and blood welled above it. She felt no pain from it, not even a sting, for she had felt so much more pain, knew the worst of the worst of it and no one could even imagine. The perfect Doll, oh yes, she had become it, her parents had broken her. Just as that thought passed over her mind, she felt arms wrap around her and looked into the window, even though she knew that it was Jason. When he kissed her neck, it almost shattered the fragile control she had over herself. When he started to thank her for multiple things, she turned around in his arms to look into his face. She brought her hand up slowly and caressed his cheek. “No, Jason, never thank me for anything. If it weren't for you, I don’t know what I would even be now, probably the Doll that my parents want me to be. You gave me the will to have life and not just be what they desired of me.” She looked into his eyes, her own filling again, before she would let them fall, she pulled him forward, his face partially resting on her chest as her bloodied lips found his and she kissed him as if she were trying to show him… everything. Finally, pulling back with her pupil’s dilated and an interruption cough from the teacher who wanted to get class started, she smiled at him. “I love you.”

Jason stopped speaking as Mercy told him not to thank her. He kept his eyes on her as she turned in his arms then locked his eyes to hers as he listened to her speak. He felt a swell of pride that he had helped her but at the same time he felt he needed to do more to help her but he did not know what else he could do. As she pulled him to her he tightened his grip and started to move his arms up her sides as his fingers slid up through her hair. “You always had it in you. You just needed a focus point.” He paused and just before her lips pressed against his he spoke again. “You’re the focus point I need.” The emotion in those few words was shown again in his lips as they kissed. He tensed slightly when he heard the teacher coughed and at that moment he realized that the class was almost completely silent. He smiled back up at her. “I love you to.” He stood and sat down in the seat next to hers and slumped down a bit so that it would be easier for everyone behind him to see. For once it did not bother him, he was fine with relaxing and sitting lower in the seat.

He started to write as the teacher started to speak grabbing the attention of the rest of the class. Jason looked over at Mercy and smiled then looked back at the board and kept writing. After a minute or two he licked his lips and then glanced over at Mercy again as he tasted blood on his lips. He had not noticed before but he could see now where her fang had cut her lips. A small amount of concern spread over his face but he was pulled back to the task at hand as the teacher asking him a question and he answered correctly almost immediately.

Mia had walked straight to her class not knowing where else to go but since it was on the other side of the school she was one of the last ones to walk in. She noticed Stefan right away and still blinded by her anger she sat down right next to him not really thinking about anything other than that he could help her get Mercy away from Jason. She was silent for a moment as her fingers drummed against the top of her desk then she turned to him with her hate smoldering in her eyes. “Will you hurt her when you have her?” She did not want to speak Mercy’s name and she was certain that Stefan would know who she was talking about. “Because it will take either her or him to be tortured before they separate.” She had just enough presence of mind not to tell him everything as her anger subsided and she remembered the feeling of his hand on her neck cutting off her air.

Jace and Jadien had watched the whole thing and tears streaked down Jace’s cheeks at the love that Mercy and Jason had for each other. The group was all around them, watching the interaction between the too. One of the guys smiled and made a joke about the height difference and how “it” would work. Jace rolled her eyes and Jadien tried not to laugh while he brushed the tears from his twin’s cheeks. When the bell rang, they all ran off to their classrooms.

The tornado in her mind finally calmed to a storm, and even though it was there, it no longer raged on since Jason calmed her down. What would she ever be able to do if it wasn’t for him? She wanted to show him just how much he meant to her, but had no idea how to do so. A thought crossed her mind on how she could, and the idea of it caused her cheeks to pinken. She was happy that they were both in their seats and paying attention to class, so that Jason couldn’t see unless he looked. However, the teacher looked at her and saw her flushed face, “Mercy, are you alright? Do you need to go to the nurse?” She wrinkled her nose as her embarrassment grew, “No, I am fine, just a little flushed.” The class went on after that and through the whole thing, Mercy smiled, her eyes often landing on Jason.

When Mia sat down next to Stefan in a huff of anger, his annoyance grew. He’s hand twitched with the need to teach her a lesson and he leaned in close to her. “This is not the time or the place to talk about what I would or would not do to her. However, if you keep opening your trap in a room full of people with that loud ass voice, I will make sure you could never speak again.” His voice was a low threatening growl. “As for the answer, I’m going to torture them both right in front of each other’s eyes and watch as they both break.”

Finally, the bell rang and first period was over. Mercy slid out of her seat and looked up at Jason with a worried smile. “Jason… I’m scared. What if the teacher makes me hand things out again? I don’t want to go near him.” Her mind ran over all of the things that happened yesterday and her arms tightened around her books. She gave a slight sigh as they walked out of the classroom to go their separate ways for their next classes before they would be reunited again in Calc.

Jason sat in his chair taking notes only looking up when he heard the teacher ask Mercy if she was alright. He gave Mercy a questioning look but didn’t speak as she dismissed the teachers question and he started lecturing them again. He was still thinking about what she had gone through at a lower level of his mind but his immediate attention was focused on what the teacher was talking about and the notes he was writing on the board.

Mia had lowered her gaze as she pulled out a note book which gave her a few moments to regain enough confidence that when she heard his threat she looked back up glaring at him but her retort stuck in her throat as she saw the same look in his eyes as he did yesterday. She sat up straighter and looked away from him not wanting to give him a reason to hurt her again. She started to smile when she heard that he would torture Mercy but as everything he said sank in she looked back at him her uncertainty about him torturing Jason showing on her face but after a few seconds she looked away her face impassive as she thought that with Jason broken she could take control of the group and control the ever growing group. The thought made her smirk and lick her lips at the thought of all those kids under her control.

Jason quickly slipped his backpack over his shoulder then walked out of the classroom with Mercy at his side. He looked down at Mercy and put his hand on her shoulder. “I will hand out the papers around him then. That way you still do what she wants but at the same time you get to stay away from him.” He tried to give her a confident smile but it fell short of his eyes. He squeezed her shoulder reassuringly then glanced around before speaking again. “I will see you in Calc. But I have to get to the gym if I am going to stay out of trouble.” He hurried off hoping to get there and get changed before they started taking attendance. When he had gotten to the class he was glad to see that he was not late, if he wanted to stay out of trouble and be at Calc on time he had to make sure he was not held back in gym.

Mia had gathered her books quickly when the bell rang and left without a word to Stefan. She knew they had classes together after lunch and even though he was helping her get rid of Mercy she still did not want to spend much time around him. She shivered and her hand went to her throat again. She would not forget what it had felt to have her lungs burning as she was forced to stare into his eyes.

After the class was over he had gotten dressed quickly and went straight to the Calc class so that he made it there before most of the other students. He took the seat he had the day before since he guessed Mercy would want to sit in the front so he would stay with her instead of going to the back where he would usually go.

As her English class ended, Mercy waited until everyone was out of the room before she poked her head out of the door, looking to see who was around. Making sure that neither Stefan nor Mia were there. "Mercy," a voice spoke above her ear and right beside her, "what are you doing?" When she looked up, she saw Jace and gave her a small innocent smile that showed one of her fangs. "Making sure the coast is clear?" She tried to make it sound like a joke, but Jace picked up on her nervousness right away and gave Mercy a reassuring smile. "Want me to take you to your next class? Jason is probably waiting for you there already."

Mercy grimaced slightly, not wanting to appear like a child to Jace. When seeing the look on her face, Jace knelt down and looked her in the eyes. "Mercy, its alright to be afraid and it doesn't make you seem weak or childish to me. There are somethings and some people in this world that you are going to be afraid of and for good reasons. Now," she took the books from Mercy's arms and stood back up, "You have to come with me or else you won't get your things back."

"Jace!" Mercy let out a sound of protest and tried to take her books back, but Jace held them close to her chest, so unless she actually wanted to practically molest the woman to get them back from her, it wasn't going to happen. Giving an indigent sigh, she gave in, "Fine." They walked to her Calc class together laughing and talking openly. Jace wasn't afraid to talk to Mercy like she was some other people, because she knew in the back of her mind that Mercy could understand some of her pain and not judge her for it. When they neared the classroom, Stefan was waiting outside. His eyes were revetted to Mercy and they narrowed when he saw that she wasn't alone. Just as he was about to say something Clark walked up from the hall behind him and called out to the girls on his way to the classroom, "Yo, Jace, Mercy, whats up?" He saw the whole interplay between the girls and didn't want to interrupt, when he saw Mercy tense and the man step forward from the lockers, he knew that it had to be Stefan. Walking up to them, he kept his back to Stefan and felt eyes burning into his back as he was in the way of Stefan being able to see the object of his twisted desire. Clark stood stragically in front of the door and waved in at Jason, giving him a signal of some sort and hoping that he would understand.

Mercy smiled up at Clark and whispered, "Thank you." At his nod, she continued with small conversation, and then made her goodbye's, taking her books from Jace when she held them out to her. "Thank you Jace, thank you Clark. I will see you at lunch." She moved and walked into the classroom at their nods and under their protection, taking her spot beside Jason with a quick kiss to his cheek before she sat down.

Out in the hallway, Clark stayed in front of the door talking to Jace and Stefan shoved past him with a hard knock to his shoulder, but Clark ignored it, even though his hand curled up in a fist. He knew that this would be trouble. Turning he watched as Stefan walked over to where Mercy and Jason were, then take the seat directly behind Mercy with a dark gleam in his eyes. Turning to Jace and watching her reaction, he pulled her with him, "we will deal with it later. Jason will have to handle this. Stefan isn't stupid enough to do something so public to her." As they walked away, they both knew that a storm was brewing ahead.

Seeing Clark at the doorway and his signal he shifted in his seat as he got ready to stand but as he heard a bit of the conversation in the hallway he stayed seated but he was ready to spring up and get to Mercy at a moments notice. So when Mercy came into the room he relaxed and smiled at her. “So how was class?” He brushed his hand over her arm as she kissed his cheek. His relaxed feeling vanished as soon as he saw Stefan walked between them and sit down behind Mercy. His mind started to race as he tried to figure out a way to get Mercy away from Stefan. As he tried to think he shifted his gaze back to Mercy and asked. “So what were you and Jace talking about?” He wanted to make it as hard as he could for Stefan to get any of Mercy’s attention.

Stefan smiled smugly at Jason as he sat down but the smile held his dark desires as he moved his hand over the desk closer to Mercy’s smooth hair as it trailed down her back. But he stopped as Jason looked to person who had taken the seat behind his and next to Stefan. He did not know why Jason was smiling but he knew it was not good for him. His suspicions were confirmed when Jason stood up and pushed is bag against Mercy’s desk before smiling and running his fingers over her cheek making the blood boil in Stefan’s veins. No one except him should be able to touch his doll, especially not some uneducated boy.

Jason let his devotion show in his gaze as he let his fingers fall from her cheek. “Can you move to my seat?” He paused not sure if his reason would sound convincing at all but hoped Mercy would help him out somehow. “I was told I should try to get more sun.” He nodded in the direction of the sun that was shining directly into the room. As soon as she vacated the seat he sat down and stared at the guy that was not sitting behind Mercy. The look he gave him told him that if he moved from his seat he would wish he was dead.

Clark kept watching over his shoulder as they walked away from the classroom. As he and Jace turned a corner he looked over at her. “So is the group full of more roomers today or did I real miss something big?” Jace looked at him and nodded just as they walked into the class they shared together. She waited until they were seated and settled before she started to explain what had happened while he had his spare.

Clark had been at home working of some of his pet projects and getting the place ready for the next inevitable get together of the group. He and Linday tried to keep the basement of the house ready for a party since they both knew all too well that if a gathering was decided they would have less than a day to get everything ready.

When Jace had finished explaining everything to him he nodded not sure what to say. He wished he had been there but at the same time he knew it was better that he had not been there since he would have hit Mia at least once and that would have caused this to grow even more out of hand not to mention the legal implications of something like that. Shaking his head he looked over at her. “I was hoping this would just be a minor annoyance but I have the feeling that this is going to be much worse.” He had started to fear that Stefan and Mia might meet and start to help each other but he pushed the thought out of his head and tried to pay attention to the lesson.

When Mercy walked into class, her heart had lifted at the sight of Jason and his interest as they were apart. "Class was rather boring, actually. The teacher was so surprised that I knew most of the answers and of course there are those whispers that constantly go around of how I look and thus I should not have a braincell in my head." She shrugged her shoulders without care as she moved back to her seat and kept talking to him even as Stefan walked past and sat behind her. The only noticeable thing was that her shoulders tensed, however she hoped that Stefan wouldn't be able to notice it from behind her. She kept on talking, "Jace and I really didn't talk about much of anything, mostly it was small talk like we had this morning at breakfast." There was a dig to the comment that she hoped Stefan picked up on, the fact that they had breakfast together. It was to show him that they were together and he would never get her.

She thought she heard something behind her, but didn't turn, her eyes kept firmly on Jason. When he stood up and told her to take his seat, she happily did so, although worry clouded her heart. His excuse, however, she did not believe for a minute, although she would not question him on it. She new one of the things Jason hated just as much as Stefan would have to be doctors. Just as Jason sat down in her spot, the teacher walked in and started class, she heard a distinct crack of something and looked over to see if Jason was alright. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed blood dripping down from Stefan's hand as he broke a pen in half. Turning back to the front, she ignored it.

Inside of Stefan his anger and hatred seethed towards both Jason and Mercy. When Jason took her spot and touched her as he did, it took all of his power to not react. His hand tightened around his pen and he wanted nothing more than to bury it into Jason's back as if it were one of his knives. Instead, the pen snapped in two in his hand and sliced his palm open. The pain of it felt so good that he grew hard beneath the desk.

Finally, class was over, and Stefan was the first to get up. Slamming his bloodied hand and the broken pen down down onto the desk with so much force that everyone in the classroom stopped and few even jumped. He grabbed his bag up and walked out of the classroom with the teacher calling after him. Mercy looked over a Jason with a hand over her heart and a slight fear in her eyes. She stayed in her seat for a few moments trying to get her bearings.

Jason tensed as he heard the snapping sound behind him but he resisted the urge to turn around and see what it was. He forced himself to relax his body as he took a few deep breaths then gave Mercy a quick smile that was not quite as confident as he wanted it to be. As he started to listen to the teacher he tried to ignore the burning sensation on the back on his neck. He knew that it was because Stefan was so close to him and out of his sight but he held fast knowing that Mercy was safe at least until the end of class.

When the teacher took a break and started walking around the room answering question Jason sighed and looked to Mercy. “They will get over it and see you as one of them. It might take longer but you will just blend into the background like everyone else.” He smiled at her to let her know that he had not meant it in a bad way. He was going to keep talking but the teacher walked to the front of the class again and gave him a dirty look before continuing the class.

Mia walked down the hallway towards the calc class and saw Stefan walk out the door. She froze for a second and was considering turning and walking away before he noticed her but a moment later she realized he had seen her already and she stood up a bit straighter hoping to look more confident than she felt. He scared her but at the same time she needed her if she was going to get between Mercy and Jason.

Jason tensed and was just barely able to stop himself from jumping as Stefan slammed his hand down on the desk. When he was in front of him Jason let out a slow breath as he tried to calm his racing heart. When he saw the fear in Mercy’s eyes he knew it mirrored his own fear and at that moment he knew he would do anything to make it so he never had to see that fear again. His lips pulled tight as he hid his feelings behind the mask that had protected him and Mercy so many times when they were younger. He put his things away quickly and leaned across to Mercy and kissed her cheek softly as he whispered. “I will take care of him. He will not harm you I swear on the life of mine that you saved all those years ago.” As he pulled back he took her hand and squeezed it encouragingly as they headed out of the classroom.

It only took them about a minute before they found most of the group in the large mall area just outside the school cafeteria. The group shifted and made room for them as if it was one organism which just went to show how close they all were. Jason sat down next to Jadien and looked around the group and was relieved to find that there were only a few people who still gave Mercy unfriendly looks.

She gave a soft but throaty laugh, "Jason, I really don't think I will ever be able to blend in. However, I would be able to fade into the back if there were people in front of me. Vertically challenged as I am and all that." Her tone was light and teasing, airy, built with the confidence of a woman who knew how she appeared to the world. She looked like a beautiful porcelain doll and people were attracted to the perfection of her. The gothic lolita outfits, her almost body length raven black hair, the lavender of her eyes and smooth skin like ivory. That was, at least the parts of her that they couldn't see, the scars that ran along her body hidden by her clothing would ruin the perfection of her dolled image. She also knew, that if she didn't try to hide her breasts, that men of all types would find her sexually appealing. The teacher got to the front of the classroom and after her look at Jason, she turned it to Mercy and you could see something in her eyes, something that ran with distaste.

When Stefan walked out of class and saw Mia there, his eyes narrowed. He walked towards her as if he were perfectly calm on the outside and when he reached her, he grabbed her arm with his bloodied hand, not even registering the pain and turning her around, dragged her with him. His hand was tightened painfully around her upper arm and would leave a bruise. Leaning into her he wispered. "If you even make one fucking noise, I will make it worse. Put a fucking smile on." His other arm was behind her back and his hand rested at her hip, although his fingers dug in, no one would be able to see. It would appear that they were lovers. He walked them straight out of the school.

When Jason finished telling her not to be afraid, she stopped and gripped his hand so that he would have to either stop or drag her. She looked up at him with anger in her eyes. "Never, ever say that again. I don't care what he does to me, I will never let anything happen to you." Her eyes were fierce, like a predator who was protecting her cubs. Even though she didn't see Jason like that, she would never let him be hurt. Sure, Stefan scared her, but she resolved herself. She would do what she had to do to keep Jason safe. "I saved your life because I love you, and I will do it as many times as it takes."

They continued walking again and when they got down to the cafeteria, she felt a little unsure of what to do. She did not bring anything from home and the idea of eating school food made her stomach quiver with distaste. When Jason sat down, Mercy hung back for a minute, unsure of what to do. Jace walked up behind her and pushed Mercy forward with a light hand to her back that no one could see. "Hey Mercy, how was class?" As she talked, she kept on pushing her forward, until they were between Jason and Jaiden. Jaiden scooted over to the side and made the person at the end move on over to the other side so that both of the girls could sit down.

Mercy looked at the benched seats with an odd look and then she set down her books on the table and grabbed each side of her skirt. Lifting it up at the sides, she first put one leg over the bench, which if anyone had looked closely, would have shown the top of her stalking and garter belt, then she pulled the other leg over and sat down next to Jason. Jace got in next to her with no problem, but she was smiling. She turned her body towards Mercy and they started in on a conversation. "Well, I really don't think my Calc teacher cares for me very much. I know it has only been two days, but whenever she looks at me, she gives me this look as if I am the bane of her existence. The class was very.... tense." She gave the pause so that Jace would understand that Mercy was actually talking about Stefan.

“Stop that, I didn’t do anything to you.” Mia hissed at him and reached up to her arm as he spun her around. She tried to push away from him for a second but stopped when he heard his threat. “Fine just stop hurting me.” She forced herself to smile as they walked out of the school and as she saw the looks they were getting she got worried that people might see through what was going on. She slowly wrapped her arm around Stefan’s waist and leaned into him a bit hoping she would fool most people.

When they had left the school property and let her arm slide of his hip and rest between them at her side. “Can you take your hand off of my sleeve? I don’t want it to stain my clothes.” She kept her voice low hoping he would not get angry at her for asking. She looked away from him and clenched her jaw, she hated that he had so much power over her. She was used to having the power not the other way around.

Jason stopped when he felt that Mercy was not coming with him. When he turned and looked down at Mercy. “Mercy. I am just making you the same promise. I don’t think I would be able to live with myself if I let him get to you.” He had lowered his voice so that not many people could hear him over the sound of everyone moving around as they left the classroom. He looked around then bent down and kissed Mercy quickly. “Please lets just try to enjoy the rest of the day. We can talk about this later.” His face had softened but there was still an edge to his eyes and the way the features of his face had settled. He rubbed her hand gently as he let his love for her show in his eyes.

When he heard Jace’s voice he turned his head and looked up at her and Mercy as he shifted a bit more to the side to make room for them. He listened to the conversation between Mercy and Jace but he turned his attention to Clark. “Thank you for keeping her safe earlier.” Clark just nodded and kept eating his sandwich. When he finished his bite he finally spoke. “Your welcome but you know I would have done the same for anyone of us.” Jason nodded then turned and looked at everyone else. He scanned the faces looking for evidence that something had happened to any of them. There were a few who looked away from his gaze and he suspected that they would need more attention than the others.

Sighing he put his arm around Mercy running his fingers over to corset that only the two of them knew she was wearing. He looked over at Jadien. “Have you noticed anything today?” Although he thought of the twins as close family just like Linday and Clark or maybe because of it he had gotten into the habit of using them as extra sets of eyes if he needed information.

Linday walked over to the group and slid into Clark’s lap then took a quick glance around before kissing him quickly. “So is the house ready?” Clark rolled his eyes as he smiled but he nodded. “Its as ready as it will ever be but that does not mean that we should have a party tonight.” He was smiling as he said it but they both knew that he would be fine if there was not a party for at least a few days. Linday just smiled and shook her head. “I want to make the most of the weather we have so I think we should have a pool party. I mean we only have a few weekends of good weather left so why waste them?” Clark had started to frown but as soon as she spoke but when she mentioned the weekend he relaxed knowing he had a few more days before anyone would come over then. Linday leaned back against the table so she could see past Jason. “Mercy, Jace how does a pool party sound too you?” She paused then added as if it were just an after thought. “It would have to be on Saturday after you and Jason come over for dinner Mercy.” She smiled brightly at Mercy as Jason cringed slightly since he had not thought about the dinner that he knew he would have to go to.

"Stop hurting you? Stop hurting you, you say?" He hissed and released her with a shove finally only to backhand her across the face. Stepping close to her, he brought his face right up to his. "Keep that whinny little mouth of yours shut and never speak unless your spoken to." When he heard someone walk by, he pulled her closer with a bruising hand at her waist, flushing her body fully against his. One hand rose up to painfully knead her breasts, and he put his head down by her throat as if he were actually doing something, but his voice was cold and turned to frost. "I could care less about your clothes, you bitch, but keep up this attitude and your blood will be what is staining them just so I don't have to listen to you anymore. And if you try to tell anyone, I won't just kill you, I'll kill your whole family. Both of them. You have a little sister, don't you? I believe your mother calls her Sara." There was no lie in his words, he would do exactly what he said, and he would make her watch as he did it. "Do you want to know what I would do to her?"

Jace looked over at Mercy and noticed her lack of food. "Aren't you going to eat? Here, take this." As she spoke, Jace put down an apple in front of her. Mercy was rather shocked by the kindness, but she lifted the apple up and gave it back to Jace. "Thank you, that is very kind of you, but I'm not really able to eat apples or hard fruit that I would have to bite into. My fangs tend to get in the way of that ability and I usually end up bleeding." She scrunched her nose up, feeling less than human about that fact, as if she were defective. Jadien gave a small laugh as he listened to the girls and he took out a small pocket knife, taking the apple from Jace's tray, he started to cut it and even designed it into little rabbit apples and then put them back on the tray between the girls. He often had made things out of the food that he scrapped up for himself and Jace when they were younger, just so that she would eat it. Jace looked over at him and gave him a fond smile. Mercy looked over at him and smiled, "Thank you. I didn't know that you had rabbits in you." She teased him and when he laughed she gave a small giggle. Picking up an apple slice, she took a bite out of it and groaned at the crisp sweet taste. Jace took up a piece and joined her.

When Jason put his arm around her, she leaned into him and rested her head against his chest as she took another piece of the apple slices. She didn't say anything, but then again, she didn't have to. Jadien looked at Jason, and gave a subtle nod of his head. "The heat meet up with the cold and there is a storm coming, Amigo." This was his way of telling Jason that an ally had sided with the enemy, but no one save Jason and Jace knew what he meant. He wasn't sure how many people here would side against them given how they couldn't face Jason and the mistrust and doubt they showed for Mercy. He knew that Mia could be a very good manipulator and what he had seen earlier sent alarm bells ringing.

As they talked about the party, a slight frown pulled Mercy's lips down, even though she had been invited. "A pool party sounds fun, but I won't be able to make it Saturday. I have to go to a business meeting." The way she said business had sarcasm dripping from her tone. What she really had to do was visit with her parents and give an annual report. They left her alone most of the time, but now that she was back and in school, they had called her to set up a meeting. She briefly wondered if they knew that Jason was back in her life again. Either way, she didn't care, because come Saturday, they would know and she would make damn sure that they knew nothing was going to tear them apart this time. She looked over at Clark and Linday, her eyes were sad like a lost kittens and had darkened the lavender to a dark purple, her lips were pulled down slightly into a frown. "Is there anyway that we could have the party sooner? I promise to bring all of the snacks and refreshments." However, Mercy was still somewhat shocked, she hadn't know that she had been invited to dinner until now and she did hope that she would be able to make it, since these people were a part of Jason's life.

Mia reached out and tried to steady herself as he pushed her backwards only to feel his hand slam into the side of her face. She cried out but stifled almost immediately as he pulled her back to him. She was about to yell for help since she had heard someone as well but when he mentioned her sister she bite her lip and looked away from the couple that turned the corner. Her body stiffened as the full weight of what he was saying hit her. He knew where she lived and she knew about her family. She started shaking her head even before he finished speaking. “No, please I will do anything you ask just don’t hurt her.” Her voice broke and she blinked away a few tears before speaking again in a slightly less shaky tone. “I will do anything you want just please leave Sara alone.” She could care less about her mother but Sara was her sister and she could not let anything happen to her. She tried to stop herself from shaking but against her best efforts her body still trembled in his arms.

Jason nodded when he heard Jadien’s words. He looked around them back at Jadien. “Then its time to close the shop and settle our debts.” He knew Jadien and Jace would be able to get that they needed to find out who was loyal to them. He glanced at Clark and Linday saw that Clark had been listening. “I can get on it over the next few days. We will find out where we stand.” Jason nodded and then smiled as he saw Jadien cutting up the apple. “That never gets old.” He reached over and took an apple rabbit as he kissed Mercy’s cheek. He sighed when she started talking about the business meeting knowing all to well what had happened in the past. His grip tightened on her just enough to let her know that he was there for her but not enough to really cause her any discomfort.

Linday frowned and looked at Clark. “Come on we could move it a sooner date. We have the house ready its just getting the food and everything.” Clark was considering it as he looked over at Mercy and saw the look in her eyes. “Well I guess we could have it sooner if you want.” The thought of her bringing drinks and food was something he liked but he would still collect money from everyone who showed up. They always got something from everyone who came. It had always been that way and it always would as far as he was concerned. “The house is ready so just tell me when and it can be arranged.” HE smiled hoping to make her more at ease.

Jason looked at Mercy and leaned down so that he was close to her ear as he spoke quietly. “We don’t have anything to do tonight and I could do with a good party.” He smiled and kissed her cheek again then sat up and looked around everyone. “Who else wants to have a pool party?” A lot of the faces around them smiled and nodded before turning to each other as they started to talk about what they would be doing.

Clark looked over at Jadien as Linday waited for an answer from Mercy. “We can use the party to see what debts we can collect.”The party tended to be a great time to get a feeling for the mood of the group in a whole and for the individual members.

When the couple walked out of site, he moved away from her as if he were disgusted by her. He lifted his hand up and caught her jaw, the pad of his thumb running over the blood that trickled down from her lip. He brought his thumb up to his mouth and licked the blood away with a dark smile that showed a brief flare of insanity as he looked into her eyes. There was almost nothing human about him, a true psychopath. Even his mother had tried to kill him when he was born, saying that he was the Devil's spawn. When he got old enough, he gutted her because of something she said about his obsession with Mercy. It was the first human life he had ever taken, having killed animals long before hand, and each time he got a sexual high from it. He couldn't wait till he had Mercy in his hands and turn her into his marionette. First, however, he would have to play the strings on Mia. He would use her as he needed to, but his one desire was to cut out the whores tongue just so he wouldn't have to listen to her talk. Then he'd fuck her mouth and choke on not just his dick, but her own blood. Yes, he really liked the sound of that. "Remember your place, princess. Everything about you now belongs to me."

Jadien and Jace nodded their heads in unison, knowing full well that Jason meant both of them. They each brought their own uniqueness to the group and could be perfect spy's. Jace whom observed everything as if she were a ghost and a shadow. Jadien, who could charm anyone into giving him what he wanted, a true con artist if he desired to be. They were a perfect match to find the information Jason wanted and their loyalty to him ran as deep as it did to each other. "Don't worry, Boss, the recon will be set into place." Jadien's tone was light and airy as if he were joking, but to anyone who knew him well, there was a dark undercurrent. As someone had wants called him, the "Guard Dog" is on the move.

When his arm tightened around her, Mercy looked up to him and smiled, then kissed hm back on the cheek. Of course, she had to pull him down a bit for her to reach. As she felt his hand still glide over her corset, she remembered when he took it off of her, and her cheeks heated slightly. She looked back at Clark and Linday with a hopeful smile when Jason leaned down and whispered in her ear. She perked up and her face came to life as she still stared at the two. "Can we have it tonight? I can get everything arranged, just tell me what kind of food and drinks to bring. I think it would be fun to help relieve some of the stress."

When Clark looked over at Jadien, he did a small salute, "Aye, aye, Captain." When he brought his hand back down from the salute, he hung it over Jace's shoulders like he was leaning on her and he tapped his fingers against her arm to give her some intel. "What about you, sis? A swim sound good for you tonight?" Jace rolled her eyes and shrugged off his arm at the perfect time, "You know that I have nothing else to do." She looked over at Mercy and winked. "Although, I do need to do a little shopping for the swimming suit then. Linday, Mercy, how about we do some girl time while we make the boys go and get the stuff?"

Mercy let out a soft laugh, "I'm up for it." She had never been out shopping with friends before, it was always by herself or being chaperoned by one of her Maids. This way they could all get to know each other better. However, she turned and looked up at Jason, "Of course, that is if it is alright with you?"

Mia had to stop herself from taking an involuntary step back as Stefan moved away from her. As he caught her jaw she dug her nails into the palms of her hand in an attempt to not smack his hand away. She had to keep Sara safe no matter what it cost her. Trembling slightly with fear and rage she never took her eyes off him as he licked her blood off of his finger. With that dark smile of his she saw how close to the edge he was and she took a step back from him only to feel the brick wall of the school against her back. Her hand was on the pentagram amulet around her neck before she realized it had moved. Mia prayed that the amulet actually worked because she did not see Stefan as human anymore. No he was a nightmare, some psychopath that she had let get to close to her. When she heard his last words her eyes dropped to the ground and she fought back tears that attempted to slip from her eyes. In the end she lost the battle and black tears started to run down her cheeks as her makeup was pulled along with the tears.

Jason nodded to the Twins with a tight grin knowing all too well how good their skill sets fit together. They had figured out what had happen to group members faster than anyone he had seen and they tended to do it without much force. Until he had met them it had been him and Clark finding out what they needed but that had gotten them in trouble more than a few times. He knew that even if Clark would not admit it he was glad that the twins had showed up. Neither of them wanted to get kicked out of their school and they were close to that when they had met Jace and Jadien. They had still been contained by the schools walls but after Linday had come into the picture their numbers grew and soon they had family in almost every middle school in town. Jason smiled and gave Jadien and Jace a salute that was almost a perfect copy of Jadien’s but just a bit stiffer.

As Mercy started talking with Linday and Jace he looked around the group again. He stopped when he spotted the guy who Linday had slapped. He studied the bruise on his face for a few seconds then motioned for him to come over. When he came over Jason moved over a bit so he could sit down. Clark seeing what he wanted moved him and Linday down a bit farther. LInday glanced at the guy then stood up and walked over to Jace and Mercy where she crouched. “Shopping sounds like a good idea to me. There is that new store that opened in the mall. We could go and check it out while they guys go to the Wal-Mart for the food.” She figured it would help Jason at least if he was close to Mercy even if he could not see her. She looked at Mercy. "What do you think? We can really go anywhere you want." She gave Mercy a smile and then took one of the apples popping into her mouth as she listened to Jason.“I am fine just keep your phone on you and call me if he shows up.” Jason's smile was forced and it showed but he was trying to act a bit more relaxed for the benefit of the group as a whole and to give Mercy more confidence. He also knew that if he showed weakness about anything it could splitter the group even more.

He leaned down and twisted so he could kiss her briefly before he turned back to the guy he had called over. As he turned his attention back to him he saw Clark was writing in a note book. He knew that he was probably starting to plan out of he would try to find out who was loyal to them. “Sam, I want to thank you for what you did earlier in the hall.” Sam stared at him slightly confused but he had relaxed. “But I sided with Mia. Why are you thanking me for that? I thought you would be pissed.” Same was a senior at the high school already but he was small for his age so more than a few people mistook him for someone much younger. Jason just shook his head. “I was but I think Linday proved any point I would have tried to make.” Sam nodded even as he ran his hand over his cheek. “But what I am thanking you for is what you said to me. You were right, I needed to be with Mercy not sitting in the hall like an idiot.” Sam looked away for a moment and shrugged not sure what to say but as Jason put his hand on his shoulder he knew he had to rethink his decisions and what the group meant to him. “No hard feelings?” Sam smiled weakly and nodded. “Family is closer than blood.” Jason smiled and nodded even as he saw Clark smiling as he heard his saying being used. “The family sticks together thought everything.” He made sure to speak loud enough that everyone could hear him.

Sam stood up and started to walk away then stopped and walked back over but instead of looking to Jason he sunk down onto the balls of his feet in front of Mercy. He cleared his throat and looked at his hands for a few seconds not sure what the best way to express what he wanted to say or if he should even be saying anything to her. He cleared his throat once more and glanced over at Linday when he noticed she was watching him carefully. Pulling his gaze away from her he looked up at Mercy. "I am sorry for what I said. I should never have spoken about you the way I did." He paused unsure of what else to say. "I am glad Jason is happy. Thank you." He looked away but made no move to leave. He felt he should wait and listen to Mercy even if he still was not sure if she should be there with them.

Stefan touched the back of her hand which held the pentagram with the back of his knuckle and chuckled. "That thing will give you no power or protection here. You don't even know what it truly is or the power it invokes. You worship a Deity from a different pantheon entirely. Ancient Egyptian and Wicca do not the same religion make. They aren't listening to you anymore." His words were dark and meant to frighten her. He moved both of his hands and put them on either side of her head on the wall and he leaned in to kiss her. Biting her lip to draw blood, then rolling his tongue up her cheek to taste her tears. "Clean yourself off you conniving slut, we have to get back to our next class. You better put on a really good show to save Sara, cause all your so called friends are supposed to be joining us." As he spoke, the bell rang, and he turned and walked away, back into the building into his next class, which was Chemistry. None of them were there yesterday, so he couldn't wait to see all of their faces as they walked in to see him as the first one there.

Mercy gave such a bright smile at the prospect of going shopping for a swimming suit with Linday and Jace. "That sounds wonderful! I can't wait to go, it will be so much fun. I've never gone out shopping with anyone that wasn't employed by my family. It will be nice to go out with friends." It would be her first adventure out, but suddenly a thought struck her and she worried about how she would try the swim suits on, since she didn't have a maid there to undue her corset. One fang popped out and worried her lip as she thought about it and then she looked up and Jason, raising up slightly in her seat, she whispered in his ear, "What am I going to do about my corset? I can't get it off by myself. I think it may shock others to see my... errr... size." Pulling back she kissed him as if nothing had be wrong and she didn't care who saw, even though she heard a snort at the end of the table. Looking back up at him, she smiled, even though her eyes were still filled with a slight panic over the shopping, "I promise I will call if anything happens."

As she was about to turn back to Linday and Jace, the boy from before, Sam as Jason had called him, stopped and hunched down in front of her. She tilted her head to the side as she waited for him to speak. When he finally did, she gave him a small, but real, smile. Lifting her hand, she ruffled his hair like she would a child. Right when she did that, the bell sounded, but she kept her hand on his head as she spoke. "I'm not mad about it, I was just hurt. I am happy that Jason has friends that want to protect him. I understand why you would worry and get defensive on his behalf." Pulling her hand away, she held it out in front of him as a sign of truce. "Friends?" He shook her hand and nodded his thanks, still slightly unsure, but felt a bit better about the whole situation now. He wouldn't exactly call her a friend, not just yet, because he didn't know her. However, he could no longer see her as just an enemy.

When Sam walked away, Jace looked over at her and smiled. "Mercy, yours and Jason's next class is Chemistry. The teacher called for both of you yesterday, but neither of you were there. Jaiden, Clark, and I are all in the class with you two. So is Sam and a few of the others that you don't know." Jace did not know that the Stefan who Mercy and Jason were afraid of, was the Stefan that had been missing yesterday, so she didn't think to mention it. Linday made a noise as Jace finished talking and stood up, then leaned down to kiss Clark. "I'm just the odd one out, maybe I should do a class transfer so that we can all be together." She gave a soft laugh and they all started walking towards their rooms, she and Clark separated with a kiss as she left down a different hall to get to her next class.

As they all walked into the classroom, Mercy froze for a moment at the site of Stefan, before she continued onwards towards the lab table furthest away from him in the back of the room. Normally she would choose a table at the front so she could see, but she refused to raise the tension in Jason from Stefan being so near. Either way, there were friends in the classroom that she could borrow notes from. When she got to her lab table, she looked at the stools that were to be used as their chairs with an annoyed look, since they were tall. "This is just discrimination against vertically challenged people." Her voice was filled with disgust and loathing, there was no way that she would be able to get onto the stool in her dress by herself.

Mia wanted to hit Stefan for what he said but she just looked away to try and hide her fear and anger. She didn’t care that what he was saying was true since it was not the power it represented. She had gotten it when she first joined the group and like all those before her she was with Jason and a few others when she picked out the pendant. She needed to find away to get away from Stefan but only if she could keep Sara safe as well. She nodded a little to make sure he knew she was listening to him. She didn’t want to give him an excuse to her hurt her again. She flinched as he put his hands on either side of her head and leaned in. She wished she had the room to pull away from his kiss but in the end she closed her eyes and let his lips press against hers. She flinched and let out a short cry as he bit her lip. Her hands came up and pressed against his chest for a split second before she wrapped them around herself and prayed he would let her go soon. A shiver ran down her spine as he licked her cheek and she had to ball her fists to stop herself from reaching up and either slapping him or to wipe her face. His words made her blink and there was a flash of anger in her eyes. How did he expect her to clean up and be all happy after what he had just done. But she just nodded and went to the closest bathroom. She knew she had to do what he said. It was not about getting Jason all to herself anymore it was about keeping herself and Sara safe. With this thought she went to work fixing herself up.

Linday beamed at Mercy’s excitement. “Your first time? Well then.” She glanced at Jace and smiled before looking back at Mercy. “We will have to give you the best first impression we can.” She was excited to get some more time with Mercy and none of the guys. She just had to remind herself not to ask about the last five years.

Jason sighed as he heard Mercy’s whispered question and pulled her tighter to him. He kissed her back as he thought about what to answer her but even as he was thinking his eyes darted up to see if he could spot who had snorted. After seeing none one who stood out he looked back at Mercy. “Thank you.” He smiled and then leaned down and kissed her neck as he spoke softly. “Ask Linday, she will keep your secret you can trust her.” He turned her head to face him and kissed her lips then sat up. He had just picked up another piece of the apple when Sam came back. He leaned against the table and watched him carefully to see what he wanted now. As Same and Mercy spoke Jason looked around at Clark then to Linday and finally to the twins to see what they might be thinking if he caught their eyes.

Jason stood as he heard the bell and put his hand on Mercy’s arm softly as he looked at Clark. “So did you blow anything up yesterday then?” It was no secret that Clark had a habit of mixing chemicals in just the right way to ignite them or have them eat through their container. He heard a few people laugh around them as Clark just winked and smirked. “Not yet but that was only day one.” This got a few more laughs as the group started to move to class. Clark kissed Linday and whispered to her quickly before she moved off to her next class.

Jason had fallen behind Mercy so when she stopped he almost ran into her. He looked up as he regained his balance and his eyes narrowed as he ground his teeth. He wished someone had mentioned that Steffen was in the class but as he was about to turn on someone Mercy started to move again and he followed her like a shadow. When they stopped at a lab table Jason looked back at Stefan making sure he had not tried to move closer only to have a smile crack the thin line of his lips as he heard her words. He turned to her slowly and then lifted her so her could kiss her before setting her down on the stool farthest away from Stefan. “If it had been a normal chair you would not have gotten that kiss.” He tried to make his tone sound light but there was a tension in it that he could not cover up.

Mia walked in just after the teacher and as she glanced around the classroom no one would have guessed what Stefan had done to her. She had almost been late because she was trying to look her best. As she looked around she spotted Stefan and then Jason and Mercy. She was tempted to run to Jason and beg him to help ber but she pushed the urge down and just shook her head with a look of disgust on her face. She then walked to the lab table Stefan was at and sat down. For a few seconds there were a few glances made between Mia and Jason then a few boys and girls stood up and walked over to take seats around Mia.

Jason watched it in silence but he burned the faces to memory and knew that he would think long and hard if they came asking for his help anytime soon. His let his hand slide down Mercy’s arm then took her hand as he glanced at Jace and Jadien.

Mercy looked up at Jason after he kissed her and helped her into the chair. She could feel the tension radiating from him and when he kissed her, it seemed rather hollow, as if he were putting on a show and they all were characters in the play. "Thank you." She knew from the bottom of her heart that this class was going to be something like hell, she knew how deep his frustration lay and knew how hot her blood ran with rage towards Stefan. There was a war that was brewing and it was going to end badly, people were going to be hurt.

Jace, Jadien, Clark, and Mercy all watched as Mia walked into the room. The men wouldn't notice the freshly painted on face, but Jace did and she typed out a tattoo on the table to alert Jadien that something was up with Mia. If looked closely enough, there were faint lines down her cheeks from tears where the makeup had been applied. So why did Jace notice? Because she knew what it was like to cover up tear stains. Unless the old coating was removed and the new one placed over it you could tell that there were layers in certain areas. Either Mia was sulking about Jason, which was the most likely of scenarios or she was crying in anger towards Mercy, those were the only explanations that came to Jace's mind as Mia walked towards and sat down right next to Stefan. A traitor to the highest degree. The twins had always known how deep Mia's greed, envy, and vanity ran. Jadien figured that if Mia couldn't have Jason, then she would find a way to try and make Jason either jealous or angry, even if that meant shacking up with the enemy.

As Mia stared at Jason, Stefan stared at Mercy, who was now looking at Jason and watching him stare at Mia, then at the group that sided with her. The one thing that Mercy had never wanted to do was rip apart Jason's family, maybe this was just a trail to show who really was family. "Yea, right..." Mercy mumbled to herself in a whisper low enough that no one else could hear. She looked at the ones surrounding their table; Jace who sat right next to her on the opposite side of Jason, Jadien who sat next to his sister. Clark was at a different table near the doors, surrounded by some of the faces she recognized from the group at lunch. She noticed that he was writing in his notebook without even looking at it.

Unsure of what she could say in such a tense situation, Mercy stayed quiet, but was thankfully saved as the teacher walked in and began class. It was relatively a normal class and Mercy copied off of the notes that Jace took, since she was unable to see the board over all of the people. The speakers came on and the teacher was called out of the classroom for something. The room settled down with a suffocating silent air after he left, like one wrong word could set anyone. That's when the explosion happened over at Clark's table and all of the people that were at it were ducking, except for Clark and a trail of blood ran down his cheek. There were multiple girls screaming, a few guys headed out of the room. Mercy watched the chaos happen. With an easy stroll, Clark walked over to the emergency chemical hazard shower and pulled the lever. After he was done a few more people from his table jumped in and cleaned themselves free of chemicals as well.

The fire from the chemical explosion still burned bright and the sprinklers came on, dousing the fire and everyone in the classroom. Fire alarms sounded and everyone got out of the room in an orderly fashion, Mercy safely secured between Jason and Jace, just in case Stefan decided to try anything. People filed out of their classrooms and outside the building to keep safe from the fire and any potential hazards. Teachers were running around frantically trying to keep the students calm and in line. Clark meet up with them outside and smirked over a Jason, knowing that no one would know who started it. Linday walked up to them and kissed Clark's cheek, fussing over the cut. A slow smile spread across his lips and he said in a rather slow drawl, "Looks like school is going to be out early today, Ladies and Gents."

A few minutes after Clark said that, the announcement system came on that said all students were free to go home and that the buses were pulling up on the other side of the building so that the Firefighters could get through. They just wanted everyone out of the way. The whole group turned as one and walked away from the school. The twins side by side, Clark with his hand thrown over Linday's shoulders, and Mercy with her hand in Jason's. Linday spoke up first, "Well, looks like we can start the shopping and the party early." They walked to the mall, which wasn't far away from the school grounds, corporate strategic planning at its best, who loved to shop more than teenage girls, after all. The guys dropped the girls off at the mall and then continued on after Clark kissed Linday and Mercy kissed Jason after she pulled him down to her level. "I will ask Linday for help, I can't wait for you to see me, I hope I look good. I promise I will be safe and call you if anything comes up." With that, the girls headed through the mall to the swimsuit shop.

Jason gave her a hollow smile. He had tried to make it real but he knew it was nothing close to real. He would make it up to her later. He just could not keep his eyes off the traitors who had shown their true colors. He had to let go of her hand as he clenched his fists in an effort to stop himself from standing up and shouting at them. Luckily the teacher walked in right at that moment and Jason took a deep breath then as he exhaled he pulled out his note book. He started to write then stopped and looked at his notes. He had a short hand way of writing notes and so a lot of people had never been able to read them. After a few seconds of studying them he was satisfied that his note taking was about the same as when Mercy left so he figured she should be able to still understand it.

Clark quickly wrote down the names of the people who walked over and sat with Mia. Then he looked around him at the faces of the others who had stayed. “Our family is here to stay. If they want to leave then they can, but we are not going to do them any favors out of loyalty. They have shown who they have sided with.” He glanced back at Jason then Jadien and Jace before turning his attention to the teacher.

Jason had just turned to Mercy when the explosion had happened and without thinking he pulled Mercy to him and kept his body between the explosion and her. When his mind caught up to his body he gently released her. “Sorry, I guess I jumped the gun.” He looked over to the front of the class just in time to see Clark jump into the shower and shook his head not surprised at all. “We should get out bef-” he was not able to finish before the sprinklers turned on soaking his hair and running off his jacket within seconds.

When they were outside Jason shook his head causing water to spray everywhere. There were a few good hearted grumbles with a bit of laughing as everyone tried to dry off. “Couldn’t you have waited until the teacher got back? At least then we could have avoided getting soaked.” Jason laughed and crouched down and kissed Mercy. He kissed her then stood up as they started for the mall. As they walked Jason relaxed now that it was just their family around. When they stopped he smiled as Mercy pulled him down to her level and it was really and full of his love for her this time. He put his hands on her waist as they kissed then smiled at the thought of seeing her in a swimsuit. “You will be beautiful I am sure of it.” His smile hardened just a fraction when she ended with calling him if anything came up then he kissed her once more before her and the girls headed off. After a second he turned to everyone around him. “Alright how much does everyone all have on them?” He pulled out his wallet and held it out in an open hand as everyone added the cash they had to the pot. He saw a few dismayed looks and sighed. “Hey don’t worry about it, Mercy said she would pay for the food and she will. You will have your money back in a day or two.”

When they walked into the store everyone broke off into groups and spread out through the store getting what they needed. A few of the older members had gone to the get the harder drinks for the night. Jason had kept Clark and Jadien with him so that they could talk not that he really thought they would have left him at the moment anyway. “So whats the game plan now?” He looked between the two. Clark grabbed a few bags of chips and dropped them into their cart then shrugged. “Do what we always do. I say we let them leave and if they need help they can go find it somewhere else.” He had been pissed that people were leaving so soon. “They must have realized what they were doing when they left.” He looked at Jason who did not look happy but he wasn’t disagreeing either. Jason looked over at Jadien. “Do you or Jace notice anything when Mia walked in or about anyone who sided with her?” He stopped and put a container of dip in the cart then kept walking

Linday listened to everyone chat as they all walked into the swim suite store then started to run her hands over some of the suites. “So what style do you like Mercy?” She looked at her and even though she knew Mercy was hiding something under her clothes she still had to work to see her as more than a child. It was made easier since she knew Jason had spent the night with Mercy but even that just made her want to ask more question. She held her tongue not sure if she could word them in a way that would not embarrasses them to much.

Jace picked out a few swim suits and held them up on herself and then when she saw one that she thought Mercy might like she held it out for her. "How about this one Mercy?" She smiled at her and passed another one to Linday to try. When they all had a few swim suites picked out they headed for the change rooms. She looked at Linday and saw that Linday was frowning slightly as she looked at what Mercy had picked out. She could tell it was not that she didn't like the swim suites so she figured Linday had noticed the same thing. But it was Linday who asked. "Mercy, are you sure those tops will fit you? I mean they look a bit big." She didn't stop walking as she asked so when she finished they were at the change rooms. Jace and Linday waited as two ladies in front of them finished with the three rooms.

Mercy's hair was still wet when they walked into the mall and even though she had tried to dry it off or hoped the heat would evaporate it, they weren't outside long enough for that to happen. As the girls walked through the mall, Mercy took out her cellphone and sent a text message to Jason that read, "I didn't want the others to see, but I slipped the money for the snacks into your front jacket pocket when I pulled you down. Hope $100 is enough." It was sent in two separated texts because of the length, but she didn't care, she refused and hated text talk with a passion.

Jadien threw some sweets and cookies into the cart as well, knowing that a few of the girls had sweet tooth's and it was safer to get more than necessary so there wouldn't be a war if something was finished. "Well, Jace noticed that something was up, but she doesn't trust Mia and she never has. With good reason too. My sister sees and has more knowledge of people then they probably know about themselves. A lot of people underestimate her and that's why Jace makes the perfect Ghost." Jadien coughed into his hand and cleared his throat as a member of the group walked by to put something into the cart and stood there with them. Jadien looked at the kid and made a face that said he forgot something, "Damn, I knew I forgot to grab something, Kyle can you go and grab some fruit and cheese trays for me? The ladies love them." He gave Kyle a wink and a know it all grin. Kyle scurried off to run and grab them. When he was gone, Jadien turned back to Jason. "Well, I noticed that everyone that sided with Mia was male, except for the two other girls. Makes you wonder why exactly they sided with her. I've noticed that most of the females in the family have never liked Mia, you gotta question why that is." Jadien didn't want to say it out loud, but he hoped that Jason understood what he meant, since the two girls that sided with Mia were only in the group because of her and like women more than they liked men.

Back at the swim suit shop, Mercy was going through the racks of swimming suits and having a very hard time finding the correct size for the top. Honestly, she had not worn a swim suit in years, since she had her own private pool that only her maid entered with her. It was just easier if she didn't wear a top. At Linday's question, she stopped and looked up at her, "Well, I'm used to things with frills, but I don't want something that looks childish. I want people to see me as a woman."

After she had picked out a few and they waited in line for the dressing rooms to open, Mercy looked down at the tops with a frown when they asked if they were to big. "Well, we will just have to see if they are, won't we." She made a slight wince as the ladies left their dressing rooms. "By the way, can one of you help me get out of this? I'm unable to do it by myself." She was slightly embarrassed by the fact that no one outside of Jason and her Maid had seen her without clothes on. Linday looked over at Jace, "I will help you, Mercy."

As Jace walked into her dressing room, Linday went into the room with Mercy and pushed Mercy's long hair over her shoulder to unzip her dress. When she saw the corset underneath, she raised her eyebrow, wondering why someone so young would be wearing one. She loosened the laces, "Is that enough or do you need more help?" Mercy shook her head no and her cheeks were stained red with a blush. "Thank you." With that, Linday got up and went to her own dressing room.

Mercy let out a long breath and looked at the swimming suits as she disrobed, stepping out of her dress and corset, but still leaving her stockings on, since it would take far to long to remove everything. Slightly dismayed, she eyed the tops and then her breasts. "Too big? These things are too small." She let out a stifled groan as she got the bottoms on and then put on the top to her first swimming suit. The top was being over strained by her breasts and she could feel the material digging into her breasts, before she could change, she heard Jace call out. "Mercy, are you alright in there? Come on out and show us, so we can give each other advice."

Popping her head out of the dressing room, but still hiding her body, she looked out at Jace and Linday. "Oh! You two look fantastic in those. I think I will just stay in here." As she spoke, Linday slid up to her and grabbed her hand. "Come on, Mercy, you have to show us." Mercy lost her hold and stumbled out of the dressing room, her arms up to try and cover her breasts, but failed miserably. "I think I actually need a bigger top." As she spoke, a man that was in the shop walked by and tripped, running into a rack full of swimming suits, while he eyed Mercy's cleavage. Mercy hid her face in her hands with mortification. "Maybe me going swimming was a bad idea, I can just stay in my regular clothes."
