Katie watched as Raf filled the two small glasses.
"Somehow Im not surprised by your 'nothing but the best' take on things Mr Hollister." She picked up the shot glass and raised it in a silent toast before taking a small sip. Katie was no expert when it came to scotch but she had drunk enough rot gut concoctions to know something which was better than anything she had ever tasted before. She nodded again in appreciation before tipping her head back and emptying the rest of the glass.
Her smile faded a touch, became a little nervous, as Raf stepped a little closer to her; they were but inches apart. He towered above her; maybe 8 or 9 inches. She looked down as she felt his hand on her shoulder. It was firm; almost reassuring. As it came up she wasnt entirely sure whether she turned her own head back to look up at him or whether it was the softest of pressures on the side of her cheek which effectively guided her gaze back up to him. She felt herself blushing at the compliment. As he bent forward, leaned into her a little, she drew her head back. Something was telling her that this just wasn't the right thing to do. This was a man who had already said that he wanted $100,000 from her. Her instinct told her that this was all part of his game to persuade her to hand over the money. And then there was JP. But JP wasn't here. And Raf was....
Her hand came up again to his chest just as it had when they had been dancing. Her mouth didn't respond to his kiss. She pushed somewhat timidly and perhaps unsurprisingly Raf seemed to ignore it. She pushed a little harder, but her mouth responded just a little, and she laughed nervously. FInally the kiss was broken.
"Im sorry... but like I said, Im not sure this is... an entirely proper thing to be doing."
