The Best Man

Eike nodded, "stubborn is to pleasant of a word to use. You know the scar he has on his right knee? He got that in a car wreck. His break line died on him, he went 60 down a highway, went up a hill, hit a pole and split it in two, rolled down back onto the highway three times, and skidded for a while on the roof of the car. He was a bit cut up but in two days, he was back to work as if nothing happened." He took another swig and said, "okay, how did you get him to be yours?"

"Whoa!" Fiaza said "And only that one scar? Crazy."

" He's the one who made the first move, pinned me to a wall and kissed me." Fiaza smiled happily. "He did get slapped afterwords by the way."

"Anything else?" She smiled at Eike.

OOC - Sorry for the delay, college caught up to me.

Eike chuckled a bit and said, "yeah, he was always making bold moves." He finished the rest of his drink off and said. "Not much comes to mind. When do you two plan on having the wedding?"

OCC - No problem. C:

"He's thinking about sometime next month if all goes to plan." Fiaza said smiling "I hope I can be a good wife."

Fiaza looked up to ceiling. "I hope he and I are making the right decision."

Eike razed an eyebrow and said, "you guys hope you are? What is keeping you from being sure about it? Seems like you two love each other, and he seems to tell you everything about his life." Except about if he was back in the old business of war. Eike prayed Christian wasn't, war and being married didn't mix at all.

"He's a really good guy, but I can't help but worrying there might be somebody better." Fiaza said "He's changed since we've starting dating. He's missing some of the fire that made me fall for him."

She sighed "But I know he'll make me happy."

"Sounds like you have some unresolved doubts in your mind," Eike stated as he ordered another round of drinks. "Tell me, what did he use to do for you that he dosen't do now?"

"Before he used to wait in bed for me to wake up, and if I was taking too long he'd jump on the bed, but now I'm not even sure he comes home at night." She sighed "I'd rather have him home than having his constant calls."

Fiaza sighed. "I really shouldn't being pouring this all on you Eike." She leaned over and kissed his cheek "But thanks for listening."

Constant calls, not good. Eike smiled a bit and placed a hand over Fiaza's hand and said, "have you tried talking with him about this? I know hes stubborn at times but I bet he would be willing to listen to a sweetheart like you."

Fiaza smiled at his touch, it felt nice.

"I know I should talk to him but," She sighed "I'm afraid he'd brake it off if I did. I don't want to be alone."

Eike sighed and said, "you know, if that kind of fear is running through your mind, maybe you should wonder about the marriage. I mean, he needs to be there for you and if he isn't, and you think he would leave you, might want to think on it is all," Eike advised as the drinks were placed on the table.

"That's just his lifestyle though." Fiaza said frowning "He's a great guy when he's home."

She took a sip of her drink. "Maybe I'm just being a needy bride." She said

Eike shrugged his shoulders. "When is he home for you though? Does he call you on his trips? Look, I don't know what happened to him but one thing is for sure, he's acting diffrent, diffrent then usual."

"You have a point there." She said "He calls alot on his trips, you can check my history if you want."

"Do you think I should be worry Eike?" She asked.

EIke sighed, if he said yes, he would have to explain why he's worried. But if he said no, he would still have to explain why. "Look, as far as him being on his trips, I think he is okay, he can handle himself well. I doub't he cheating on you or something, but if hes acting cold to you in a way, its something to wonder about."

"I'll talk to him when he's home," She said "If a good moment arises."

"Do you want to dance?" She said finding something to change to subject "I'm a terrible dancer but it'll still be fun!"

"Sure," Eike replied. "Havn't done it in many years but I think I still remember the bask rythems and such. He had a small smile on and walked over to Fiaza's side and offered his hand to her.

Fiaza blushed slightly as he offered his hand to her but she gladly took it. She smiled at him as she walked towards the stairs. "Your a good guy Eike." She said "I hope you find the right girl ."

Eike chuckled to himself about being a good guy. "I'm a loner in this world," Eike stated, "I travel with no roots or ground to call home. Where I go, wouldn't be good to a woman with all the trips I do." He looked over at Fiaza and said, "your a lucky woman to have Christian, just wish things were better for you two."

"I just hope I'm the right girl for him." She sighed. "I'd hate to be the person keeping him from finding the right one."

Fiaza started to hear noise from upstairs, there was a lively crowd tonight.

"I'm certain your not holding him back," Eike stated as he guided Fiaza up the stairs. He could see the crowd along with flashing lights, music, it made him think of the raid on Gustin, a small rave club years ago.

"I hope so." She said.

Fiaza smiled widely as she saw the crowd, tonight would be fun. She pulled Eike towards the dance floor "Dance time!"

Eike followed right along and couldn't help the old habbit of watching corners to make sure everything was okay. Minus a few things here and there, it was fine to him. No real threats visible and such. When they got onto the floor, Eike looked at Fiaza and said, "I don't recognize the song, let alone what moves these guys are using." He notioned at one guy that was dancing, yet it looked like he was having a seziure or something.

"That might be a good thing." Fiaza laughed. "I'm going to bounce to the beat until I recognize a dance."

And she did just that, hoping up and down to the beat smiling.

Eike tried his best to meet Fiaza's rythem but without a set move, he wasn't sure if he was hitting a good rythem or not. The music was still alien to him and the people around looked either way to young to be here or something else entirely from being human.
