Love between cousins. (Darkness and PickleChiffon)

She set her fork into her pasta, and tucked a pice of errant hair behind her ear, as she looked at him, smiling softly.

" I am on nights for the next four days, but then have two off and then four on Days, and four off. We will find some time in there to hang out I promise. And you won't get lost, but if you do..I will ensure you have my cell number you can text or call or whatever." She nudged him gently with her foot for the puppy dog eyes he set on her. "That's not fair!!! I do have to work!" She laughed whole heartedly before turning back to her pasta and glancing at the TV.

"I understand the dating thing too, it's been a bout a year maybe longer since I was "seeing" someone, but I am sure you will find lots of girls here who will love to have your attention, especially once school starts."

He looked at her and smiled. "Yea, if I find someone." He took another bite of his food. Most girls he knew were either dumber than a brick or really needy. One girl he dated, they dated for a while, but she always asked him to buy her stuff. He was always broke from buying her things, until she moved away. He was a mix of happy and sad. He was glad that he could have his money back, but was sad because even though she sucked his wallet dry, he enjoyed being with her. They dated for almost two years, and they still keep in touch. Another girl he dated, didn't last long. He couldn't stand that he had to explain almost everything to her. Sometimes more than once.

He then tried to take another bite to realize that his bowl was empty. He then shot Gus another puppy dog face, wondering if she'll get him more. "August, can I have more food, pweeze?" He asked, leaning against her.

She shoved at him playfully, a smile on her face as she did so.
"Get off me you oalf! I will tonight, but tomorrow you aren't a guest any more," she winked and stood up. Leaning down she took his bowl, the vee of her tshirt shifted as she did so, flashing a glimpse of the royal blue lace bra she was wearing. She straightened and made her way past him.
"I'll be right up," she trotted down the stairs, putting her own dish in the sink, filled it with water, then scooped him another bowl of pasta. August smiled to herself, at least her liked her cooking, that was a good starting point. She made her way back up stairs and handed him the bowl, sitting down on the opposite side of him from where she'd been before, but so close she was nearly touching him. She looked at him.
"Hope this is okay, I just didn't want to block your view," she nodded her head at the TV. "I kinda think I am going to have to leave you alone anyway, I need to do some paperwork and then get to bed. Twelve hour shifts are brutal if you don't have enough sleep."
She put her hand on his thigh patting it before using it to push herself up, she turned and smiled, just shut off the lights and stuff before you go to bed, the door is already locked, Night Jason." She voice was soft as she said his name, she paused at the stairs.

Jason put his bowl down as he ran up and hugged her. "Thanks for letting me stay with you." He held her tightly, not wanting to let go of her. He eventually did let go when he realized he was still hungry. He went back to eat, waving goodbye to Gus as she left. While he was eating, the vision of Gus's bra was etched into his mind, making him wonder what she looked like with her shirt off. He stopped to try and snap himself out of it. He kept telling himself that she was his cousin, they were family. He then finished his pasta and turned off the tv. He then put his bowl in the sink, filled it with water, and went to his room. He didn't stop to notice whether Gus was asleep or not, he just went to his room to distract his mind from her bra.

He looked through his games, wondering what to play. He then figured his new game would do best. Duke Nukem, it was the perfect amount of mindless action that could distract him. He made sure his tv wasn't too loud and he started playing. Before he knew it, he was laughing at all the cheesy one-liners that the character said after almost every kill.

She'd been shocked when Jason got up and hugged her goodnight, she she stood in her room slowly getting undressed, she replayed it in her mind. It felt as though he'd held on for a bit longer than neccessary, but it had felt good at the same time, to have a pair of strong arms wrapped around her, but he was her cousin, this was little Jason, who really...wasn't all that little anymore. Gus sighed as she slipped into her night shirt and into bed. Grabbing her book, she turned on the night light to read for a bit before lettign sleep over take her. Today was definately the beginning of an adventure, tomorrow should have some interesting results. She turned out her light after a half hour, and fell into a deep sleep, her mind lost in dreams instantly.

Jason eventually stopped after he couldn't stop laughing when his character used the giant boss's balls as a punching bag. After finishing the level, he turned off his xbox and got his laptop out. He turned off the lights in his room and began playing his Magic card games on his laptop. He calmed down as he got sucked into the game, not thinking about anything else. After an hour, he shut down his laptop and went to bed. His eyes grew heavy as he thought of his first day here. He had a lot of fun reconnecting with Gus. He remembered the warmth he felt when he hugged her. With that thought in his mind, he quickly drifted into sleep.

August woke with a start, her alarm reading 5am. She whipped a bead of sweat from her brow. That had been one intense dream! _The scene was clouded, but she had been laid out on an opulent bed, doused in flowing translucent curtains, waiting for a lover. when he had joined her it had been epic. She'd not seen his face, it had been fuzzy when he had crawled between her parted legs, kissing and caressing her. She had given herself fully in the dream remembering nothing was more important than this lover and making sure he knew she loved him. After the torrids of making fabulous passioante love(the best she'd ever experience awake or alseep) he had pulled back looking down at her. His face came clear as he whispered her name August Raine, and it was Jason!! _That was what had jolted her awake ...she'd had an erotic dream about the boy down the hall. August sunk back into her now cool sheets and closed her eyes. Wasn't that the Freudiean slip of the century! She rolled over and tried to sleep some more.

Jason woke up after falling out of his bed. He had some strange nightmare, but it felt so real. He imagined that Gus came home with her new boyfriend. After dating for a while they got married and started a family. The thing was that the whole thing really bothered Jason. He couldn't understand why, but it really upset him to see her with another man. He didn't bother looking at the time as he went to the bathroom. After flushing the toilet, he went to the kitchen. He noticed that it was about 5:30 in the morning when he looked at the clock on the microwave. "Hell, it's too early for me to be up." He grabbed a soda from the fridge as he went back to his room. He looked at his phone to see someone called him while he was asleep. He wasn't surprised to find out it was his friend Tom, the boy never sleeps. He sent him a quick text telling him that they'll talk later when he's more awake. He chugged down the soda and went back to bed.

She woke, if you can call the in and out of conciousness she'd been flirting with sleep, at 8 am. She slipped out of bed and into the ensuite, ran herself a shower, steam curling around her ankles as she waited for it to be the right temperature. After waking from that dream last night, her sleep had been fitfull. It was if a switch went off, and everywhere she turned it was Jason, every touch that was done on to her, it was his voice, and his hands. She shuddered as she stepped into the hot steaming shower. She was nearly gald she wouldn't see him today, because she honestly wasn't sure if she could look at him without blushing. Gus washed her hair, then took the razor to her legs, scraping them smooth. By the time she stepped out into the cool air of the bathroom she felt refreshed.

After toweling off, she slipped into her srcubs, twisted her hair in to a bun and then clipped it in place with a clamshell clasp. She looked in the mirror, there were circles under her eyes, but they weren't bad. She opened her door and made her way to the kitchen.

She picked up the White board pen and wrote him a message.
Jason,
Hope you slept okay!
Pasta - oven 350F for 40 minutes = tasty
Cell is 696 8676
Shifts are 1pm to 1am
Am off to do errands before work.
She drew a heart and a G to sign off and silently made her way to the car. She had a book in her backseat and was headed for some down time and a coffee before having to work all evening.

Jason finally woke up and looked at his phone, it was 10:30am. He slept a little better this time, no nightmares, nothing bothering him. He just shrugged off that last dream about Gus and started to wake up. He then noticed that his friend sent him a few more texts asking him to wake up. He rolled his eyes and got out of bed. After walking into the kitchen, he noticed the little note from Gus on her white board. He then smiled as he got his phone out. "Thanks, have a good day at work, see you tonight." He mumbled to himself as he typed the text to her.

He turned on the tv to notice Looney Tunes were on. A show he could never get tired of. Over the years, more crap was being put on tv, but Looney Tunes were always something they kept, something that everyone loved. He noticed another text on his phone and saw it was his friend again. Irritated, he called him up.

"What is it Tom. Yea I'm fine. I told you, I moved to go to school. With my cousin. I told you four times last week. When are you not stoned? Idiot. Too bad, you'll have to deal with life there without me. Awwwww, is little Tom lonely? I know, I'm gonna miss hanging out with you too. Yea, cuz you made me feel like a fucking genius every time we hung out. Fine, you can come visit. I'm sure my cousin can let you stay. You are house broken, right? I know, I got a million of these jokes. Well if it's too much effort for you, then why are you asking? Bring Alex, or Sean. Have them drive you, but if they do, you'll need to find your own place to stay. It's a condo, it can't hold that many people. Well, I got to go, Looney Tunes are on. Yes they are on, look on the tv. Well put down the controller and turn to the cartoons. Ok, bye." After that phone call, Jason just scratched his head. "God, the people I hang out with."

Gus was seated at the coffee shop across town, when her phone vibrated against the table. She picked it up and got the notification of a text from someone not in her contacts. She opened the message and smiled seeing it was from Jason. She added his numberto her list of favorites and replyed. "Be home likely @2am, don't wait up."

She finished her coffee and decided she would head in to the hospital, she had gotten everything else done already this morning, now it was just waiting for work. When she got to the staff room she slipped her cell into her pocket, just incase Jason decided to go exploring and needed to get intouch with her. She got her charge notes and started to make her rounds, loosing herself in her work and ensuring the patients on her unit this morning were okay.

Jason made got himself a bowl of cereal and watched more cartoons. After he finished his bowl, he sat and watched tv for a while. He looked at his phone to notice that it was already 2pm. "Damn, it's already that late." He said to himself. He then went to his room and wondered what to do. He then sat on his bed for a while and felt a little lonely. He pulled out his phone and texted Gus. "I'm lonely, I wish we could hang out. :(" He sent her the text, knowing she'll feel bad for him. Maybe she'll talk to him on her break.

He got on his laptop and started messaging some friends, seeing how they were doing. Most of them replied, most saying they missed him, they want to chill, or something like that. He had to admit that he missed his friends. Most of them were idiots, but they were his idiots. He had fun being around him.

At 5pm, Gus pulled out her phone, checking to ensure Jason hadn't called.
She tacked out a text.
"Hey.Checking if you're okay."
She snapped her phone closed, and rubbed her eyes. Rachel, her closest friend at work came buy touching her shoulder.
"You okay Gus? Ready for tonight?"
She looked up at her friend. "Didn't sleep well. Tonight? What's tonight?" She looked questioningly at Rachel. Rachel rolled her eyes,"Drinks after shift with the two hot managers from Joe's Restaurant?"
The color drained from Gus' face, then she put on a fake smile "Right?!" She was glad she had some time before shift end to figure out how to bail.

Jason looked at his phone when she texted him. "Yea, I'm ok. Just a little bored." He sent the text back to her. He had just finished an online video chat with his friend, an ex girlfriend to be exact. They were friends since they were kids and couldn't stand to be away from each other after they broke up, so they managed to stay very close friends. They were just talking about recent stuff that happened and that they should try to see each other again. He did enjoy dating her, but he realized that they were better off apart. They wanted very different careers. He wanted to make video games, and she was trying to be an ambassador overseas. Now with nothing to do, he turned on his xbox and played some more games.

It was about 9pm when he turned off his xbox and went to get himself some food. He turned on the oven like Gus wrote in the note and waited for it to preheat. While he was waiting, he plugged in his ipod to his speakers and listened to his podcasts. He mostly listened to stuff about video games and movies. Sometimes there were talks about comics. As the oven finished preheating, he put the mac and cheese in and set a timer for 40 minutes.

As the shift began winding down and last rounds were made, Gus could tell Rachel was seriously into going out with these two guys. She couldn't stay still if life depended on it.

She had texted Jason back a couple hours ago making sure he had remembered to eat. Not like a young man would forget, but she was feeling like she should be responsible. As the new shift came on and tranfers made of info and charges, Gus snuck off to the lockers. She popped her phone open again.

"Hey Hun, looks like I'm getting dragged out, be back a bit later than planned." She closed her phone again as Rachel came screeching around the corner.

"Who are you texting?" her friend demanded. Gus rolled her eyes, man she was a busy body, but she still enjoyed her company most of the time.
"Rachel, I am suprised sometimes you remember my name! I told you my cousin was coming to live with me while he goes to college."
Rachel flipped her hair as she pulled on her jeans.
"Right I remember, and I remember asking if he was hot, and all you said was he was young," her tone was accusitory.

Gus groaned, she hadn't meant it to be so abrupt, but Rachel was a viper, anything male and breathing over legal and under 80 was fair game in her mind. She could imagine that was the last thing Jason needed, he should be dating someone his own age, though in general the idea of him dating made Gus' head spin.

"He is hot, but he's not now or ever to be on your menu of conquests!!!" Gus kept her tone light and teasing with her friend, but she knew as she said it she was dead serious. "Let's hurry, cuz if you keep those two waiting you won't have a chance with either of them!"

Gus ducked as Rachel threw her scrubs at her, but it was true, she was just playing the "wing man" to Rachel tonight. She thought the one was cute, but he didn't seem on the ball with anything other than his truck and his expensive clothes, though he did have a nice set of lips, and that could go a long way on a guy. Gus sighed. Give her a nice voice and a perfect set of lips and she generally was gone, but tonight was already feeling contrived. She shook her head as the two of them made their way to her car, and then on to the restaurant.

Jason looked at his phone, expecting Gus to tell him that she was on her way home. Instead, he frowned to see that she was staying out later. "Awwwwww, but I miss you. I wanna see you again." He texted her, hoping it'll convince her to ditch whoever she made plans with. He then thought about his dream he had the night before. What if she was going to see a guy? What if she's dating this guy? What if these two are in a serious relationship? All those thoughts sent chills down Jason's spine as he shook his head. She was his cousin. Why should he care if she dates? He should be happy for her.

He decided to get more food, emptying out the dish. He put the dish in the sink and filled it with water, then he decided to watch tv. Not much was on tv this late at night. Some comedy shows, the grown up cartoons, some R rated movies, and some softcore cable porn. Finishing up the little bit of food he had, he decided he was a little lonely tonight and needed to relieve himself. He put on the porn and watched. It wasn't doing anything for him. As he watched the actress moaning on the screen, he didn't get turned on. All he could think of is Gus. He decided to turn off the tv and go to bed. He wasn't tired, rested under the covers with his eyes wide open.

She felt her phone vibrate as they pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. When she stood up she flipped it open and saw his message. She glanced over at Rachel who was putting some final touches on her war paint. August quickly typed out a message.

You're over 21. Crash if you want. I might like being rescued. Even tell you how to find me ;0

She slipped her phone into her pocket not sure if Jason would be asleep yet or not, but the idea of having him show up at the bar was kind of fun.

She and Rachel made their way in and were soon flanked by the two guys they were there to meet. August felt a little tingle of pleasure as the one she'd thought was cute chose to be by her side and talk to her. But when she told him her name again, she saw the slight flash of disaproval. It was funny how guys reacted to Gus, generally they immediately thought she was gay, and that divided them into two factions the ones who thought that was hot and the ones who thought that was not. Apparently he was falling into the fence sitters, using some time to guage how the night was going to end. Gus accepted the drink he bought her though, even though she tended not to drink, and she nodded at his poliet conversation. Rachel though, seemed to have made progress, and was in the middle of some deep connection with her victim of the evening.

Jason got the message from Gus and thought he might like that. He threw on some clothes and sent her another text. "Sure, tell me where to go, and I'll look for you. If I get lost, you have an excuse to leave. lol" He sent the text and waited by the door for her to text him back. He thought about what was going to happen when he saw her. He figured she was probably with a friend, having drinks, maybe he can join and have fun with them. Then the dirty thought of a threesome came to mind. "No, she's my cousin, she's my cousin." He hit his head on the wall, trying to knock the thought out of his head.

Gus was in the middle of having Mr.Nice Lips whisper in her ear, when she felt the vibration of her phone. She gently pushed him away, batted her eyes and excused herself to the washroom. Behind closed doors she pulled out her phone and slid it open.
She chewed her lip as she read, her heart fluttering in anticipation, he was coming, here. She shook her head, there was no way she should be reacting like that to Jason, of all people, why couldn't her heart be fluttering over Mr.SixMillionHands? She sent a message back.

From the end of the drive go right..walk 3 streets over to 28th.. Hospt. is Right.. turn left away from it..cut through the school there diag. and then at the corner you should see JOES sign. Am inside waiting..;)

She closed her phone and stepped out of the stall, she checked her reflection, her hair down about her face, she smiled it should take him 20 minutes, and he'd be there, just in time to GTFO of this place.

August headed back to the table noticing Racdhel and her man were out on the dance floor. Mr.WanderingEyes saw her, tearing his gaze from Ms.SoUnderAgeItsNotFunny to smile at her.

Oh this was going to get interesting fast.

Jason got the text to see the directions. "Ok, got my music to keep me occupied, got my phone if I get lost, and got my wallet to buy myself something if I get hungry while there. I'm ready." He walked out the door and locked the door behind him. No way in hell he was going to let someone take his stuff. He'd hunt the bastard down.

He followed her directions pretty well. He went to the end of the driveway, turned right, walked three streets over to 28th, he saw the hospital to his left, where Gus works, He took a left away from it, crossed through the school, and he saw the sign. "Oh thank god." He said to himself as he walked closer to the place. When he walked in, a server greeted him, and he said he was looking for someone. He looked around and saw Gus, with another guy. His heart dropped and he turned pale. He was right all along. He took a deep breath and walked to her. "Hey Gus, what a surprise to find you here." He lied, trying to make this sound like a coincidence.

Gus had been watching the door, trying to keep an eye open for Jason. Her heart dropped to the floor when she saw him come through the entrance. Yes, this was definately not normal to react like that to her cousin, but she found she didn't really care, she was just happy he was there. The music had drowned out alot of what he had said, and she knew Mr.TooSexyForMyShirt hadn't heard, but was unimpressed with the intruder. She set her glass down and smiled brightly.
"I'd love to dance," she said loud enough that there was no mistaking it. She slid her hand into Jason's and tugged him out on to the crowded floor, just a slower song came over the speakers. August turned to him, placing his hands on her hips, and then her own on his shoulders. She leaned into his ear.
"Just go with it, I know you must know how to slow dance, if nothing else I am loving the scowl on Mr.ImSoVain." She pulled back just a bit to see him in the dusky light, her eyes sparkling. She lightly touched his ear, tracing the outline of it, giving the impression to anyone watching that she was filrting with the young man holding her. She leaned back in, pulling him just a bit closer to her, whispering in his ear soft and just for him.
"I'm glad you came, and rescued me."

Jason's fears calmed down when they danced. It looked like she was forced on this date, she didn't want to be there. His face turned bright red when she traced his ear. "I'm glad to help, my fine lady." He teased, pretending to be her prince charming. Although he did start to see her as his beautiful princess. He knew it was wrong to think of her like that, but the position he was in, he couldn't help it. He was slow dancing with her, she leaned against him, her breasts pushing against his chest. He couldn't help, but to look down at her chest. "So, who is this guy exactly, and mind if we piss him off more?" He smiled, he loved pissing people off. It was one of his favorite moments.

August leaned in closer, chuckling softly at Jason's comment. "Over my right shoulder, the bleach blond who is likely torn between starring at you and maulling the guy she is dancing with, is my BFF Rachel, her guy and Mr.SoonToBePissedOff are BFF's and have had their eye on us." Gus smiled, she was pretty sure she felt Jason's hold become a bit more possessive as she explained.
"Sure, since we have an audience, do your worst." She grinned at him, her heart soaring. It felt good to be this engaged and just happy to be with someone. And once Jason's plot was played out, she was going home, with him.

Jason smiled, and looked at her. "Alright, but I'll hold back a bit. My worst would be too much for here." He teased. He then proceeded to act like they were into each other. His arms wrapped around her, pulling her closer to him. He then kissed her cheek, enough to show that he "wanted" her. He then continued to slow dance with her, proceeded to do what looked like kissing her neck. In real life, he was gently blowing on her neck, making small farting noises. Something to make her giggle, hinting she liked the "kissing". He was temped to do something more erotic, but he didn't want her uncomfortable. He finished off with a small rubbing of her ass, hinting that they'll want some "alone time" later.

"So, how was that? Does he want to kill me?" He smirked as he whispered into her ear.

Gus giggled as Jason's hold tightened on her waist, his hips gently bumping into hers. She couldn't help but gasp when he grabbed her ass, though, she felt that all the way to her toes. She leaned into him, her lips on his ear.

"Not quite, but close," she whispered, slightly breathless. This felt WAY too good. She moved again so she could see Rachel who was now pouting at her, and she laughed. Her friend likely miffed because she didn't have the inside scoop on what was going down. August knew she was pushing the boundry, but at this moment she didn't care. She ran her hand through his hair, leaning in again whispering, "Now would be a good time for your show stopper, and then we make a bolt for the door." She felt a shiver go up his spine, and hoped that it was a positive one, as she waited for him to make his move.
