Jason sat in the bus, waiting to get to his cousin's house. He graduated high school over the summer, and was heading to college. He then found out that his cousin lived near the college, which made things easier for him. He wouldn't need to pay for the dorms. So after a few calls, she was going to let him stay with her, as long as he helped her out with things, which he was cool with. Honestly, it has been a while since he's seen his cousin. He almost forgot her name, it's been that long. He has faint memories of her as a kid, seeing her as an older sister, but he also found her to be really pretty. He only hoped that she didn't grow up to be a bitch.

He sat on the bus listening to his music, when the bus finally stopped. He looked out the window to see that he had finally arrived at his stop. He got his bags and got off the bus. When he was off the bus, the driver helped him with his suitcase. "Finally, now, where is she?"

Gus tapped her fingers in time to the music on the radio as she waited for the light to turn. She couldn't believe she had let herself get talked into having Jason as a room mate. Oh, it made sense, finacially to split the rent on her condo with him, and she'd have some security knowing someone else would be around, but she just didn't want it to cramp her style.

Okay, who was she kidding? She didn't have a style, it would be more like HER cramping his college freedom by being an old shut in.

The light turned green and she accelerated through the intersection, and turned right, into the parking lot of the bus station. Gus, parked her car and turned off the engine. She took a look around, and realized with dismay that she was a tad late, it seemed everyone had disembarked from the bus already. She got out of the car and made her way to the crowd. She didn't know if she'd recognize Jason, it had been years since she had seen him, and he'd been so young then. She stood on her tip toes, lifting her 5'9 frame up just a bit higher to see everyone. As she was about to make her way into the station, she heard just the faintest of whispers behind her, and it sent a shiver down her spine.

"August Raine?"

Yep, that would have to be family, no one else ever called her by her full name. She turned, tucking her hair behind her ear, smiling, a bit nervous as she met the eyes of the voices' owner.

"Jason?....I hope?" she laughed nervously, suddenly feeling like she was an awkward sixteen yearold, instead of the 28 she actually was.

"Uh, yea, it's me, Jason." He said to her nervously. Seeing her reminded him of his childhood, how he use to follow her around, doing the things that she did. There were times they enjoyed themselves, and there were times she picked on him. He scratched his short hair zipped up his hoodie, putting his hood up. "Sorry, It's a bit cold." He smiled, looking up at her. He noticed that she's gotten a lot prettier since he last saw her.

He held his bags and put his ipod away. "So, I guess we get ready to go to your place?" He sounded like a little kid who was suddenly into girls.

"Oh yeah, sorry...I keep forgetting that it's colder up here than what most Southerns are used to," Gus shook her head, and reached for one of his bags. She motioned to her car, and as they approached popped the locks with the remote entry. Her mother had moved North when she was young, fallen in love and settled here, where as most of her mother's siblings were still in the South, which meant most of Gus' cousins were used to smoldering heat, rather than the milder temps she was used to. She glanced at Jason in his hoodie, he'd climatize soon, though for right now they looked a pair of opposites, him bundled up and she in just her worn old tshirt and snug jeans. They got his stuff packed into the hatch back of her car, and climbed in.

"I haven't gone grocrey shopping yet, because I wanted to know if there was anything specific you liked or needed? But I think you'll find the place is better than a drom, and has enough space for you to spread out if you need it." She tossed him a casual smile as she reversed the car, and backed out of the parking stall, pulling into traffic before turning and heading towards home.

Her fingers still tapping nervously intime to the music. She couldn't believe how nervous she was feeling. She'd been advertrous when she was young, always the tomboy, leader of the mischief, hence the nickname Gus, but never had she felt so out of place in her own skin. She stole a glance at Jason. Yes, he had definately grown up, and handsomely too, she wondered if he was a playboy heartbreaker like his looks suggested, or if he even knew how cute he looked. While they were cousins, time had made them very much stangers.

Gus paused at a 4way, before taking them down the winding river road to her condo. Even though it was late August, the trees in the valley had started to turn, making this the best part of her drive. The days were still light out until well past 9pm, and the temperature perfect, for this late in the summer, just begining to signal Fall was around the corner.

"I was thinking, if you wanted, once you get unpacked, I could take you on tour of the town, show you were everything is, we'll go shop stock the fridge, and then we should be set?" She chewed at her lower lip, as she waited for his response, she didn't want to smother him, but he needed to know where things were, so he could be self sufficient.

Jason climbed into the car after Gus helped him put his bags in the car. He then sat in the car with her as she listened to the radio. Not very fond of the song she was listening to, he pulled his ipod out and blasted his heavy metal music with one ear bud hanging out so that he could still hear her. He then looked around as they drove down the rode, things seemed very peaceful, like he could really enjoy the place.

"It's cool, I'm fine with pretty much anything you'll feed me, I just need some soda for my caffeine." Being the age he was, he drank a lot of sugary drinks go give him the energy he needed. "And I'm sure I'll like your place. I would've rather stayed with family than some person I don't know." He saw her smile and he turned away, blushing.

She was still a tomboy, but she became so beautiful over the years. He knew it was wrong to think of her like that since they were family, but they've been apart for so long, they could almost be complete strangers.

Jason then heard Gus ask him something, and he answered. "Sure, that would be nice. I'd like to see what's in this town, maybe something fun for me to do in my free time. And then I'd be happy to help you get food." He looked at her with a smile.

Gus blushed. She couldn't believe what a jibbering idiot she'd become. It wasn't like this was a blind date or anything. This was just Jason. She smiled remembering a summer out at his folks, and she helped him build his first treehouse, he'd been so excited to show all his friends. She took a deep breath and sighed as he turned back to his music, this would be okay, this was not a mistake, and the company would do her good.

Gus pulled the hatchback into the driveway in front of her side by side condo. She would normally pull into the garage, but doubted he'd have enough room to get out. She turned and smiled at him, winking unconciously like she had done when they were young and sharing a michevious secret just between the two of them.

"Well, it's not much, but this is it." She got out of the car and grabbed some of his bags, heading to the front door. Gus unlocked the door and motioned for him to step inside, pulling the heavy door closed behind them.

Jason walked in with his bags and looked around the condo. It wasn't much, two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. "It's perfect." He smiled at Gus. He moved to the second empty room and put his bags down. He began unpacking and setting things up. He opened one of his suitcases to reveal a bunch of clothes, and on top of it was his laptop. He plugged it in and turned it on. While it loaded, he opened another suitcase to reveal his xbox and his games. He hooked it up to the tv in his room. After the laptop loaded, the background revealed a weird picture of one of his favorite web comics.

He then turned around to Gus and smiled. "Ok, I'll hang my clothes and put the rest away when we get back. I don't want to hold you up." He gave her a grin. He also kind of wanted to leave so he can spend a little more time with her.

Gus laughed softly as she watched him set up this computer and game console, as she leaned against the door frame to his room.
"You can take as long as you want sweetheart, the stores here stay open late, and we've still got a good chunk of daylight left," she shrugged. "So if you want to get settled you can, I'll just show you around quickly."

She pushed herself away from the frame and headed into the hall. She paused at a closet, opening it and showing him the contents. "Here is your bedding, and such, cotton sheets, flannels for winter, towels are on the bottom there," She pointed then moved to the bathroom. "This one is yours, but it's also the main house bath, so if company is over this is the one they'll be using. Kitchen and living room are self explaintory, I hope." She turned back tossing the jab at him smiling, trying to lighten the mood.

She came to the end of the hall and opened the door, "This one is my room, I've got an ensuite off the back past the closet." Gus blushed a bit, her room was pretty neat all things considered, but she noticed the errant red and black bra on the floor infront of the laundry basket, and hoped it hadn't been so glaringly obvious to him, that's all she needed, to flash her unmentionables to her cousin, great way to start living together! Gus shook her head and closed the door behind them, feeling the flush in her cheeks and hoping it was just her imagination that they were flaming scarlet to match the bra.

Gus paused at the bottom of the stairs. "One set to the basement, where the laundry room is, and the freezer, and this set," she gestured to the upperstairs, "Leads to the loft/rec room/ guest room/whatever you want to call it, theres a TV up there, a futon that can ovbiously double as a guest bed, and a reading chair." She turned back to Jason.

"So, how 'bout you take about a half hour, forty five, get kinda settled and then we'll go?" She smiled at him and winked again, before turning and running downstairs to change the laundry over. In the basement, Gus sighed. Maybe agreeing to this was not a smart idea, she'd been on her own for so long. But with the shifts she worked, it seemed such a waste of space and money to spend on keeping this place when she only really slept here. She worked on moving over the laundry and starting it, as she came up the stairs she heard music, and smiled, at least he seemed to be adjusting?

Jason followed her on the house tour, his face turning red when he saw her bras in her room. It was wrong of him to think it, but he began to imagine her in just her underwear. He stopped thinking about it and finished following Gus. After the tour, he turned to her and smiled. "Thanks for helping me out with this. I promise I won't give you too much trouble." He went up and hugged her, his head gently pressing against one of her breasts.

He went to his room and started unpacking again. He plugged his ipod to his laptop and began playing music. It was loud, like he liked it, but not too loud that it would bother Gus. He began taking his clothes and began hanging them up. He started hanging his shirts, most of them were t shirts. A lot of them had his favorite metal bands on them, while others were just stupid novelty shirts that had some dumb video game joke on it. After his shirts were done, he started hanging pants. Most were blue jeans, baggy, just the way he liked them. A few sweat pants for when he wanted to get comfortable, and a few short, which he doubted he would need now. He then looked around to make sure that Gus didn't walk in on him. When the coast was clear, he quickly put away his underwear. He put his boxer shorts in the top drawer of the dresser and socks on the drawer underneath. Finally done with his clothes, he moved on to the rest of his things.

He took his games and stacked them next to his xbox. Most of them were action based. Some shooters, some fighting games, some where you just slash through your enemies. He also had a few horror games in there, for when he needed a good scare. He then opened the last bag to reveal a bunch of movies and books. He first pulled out the books he'd need for school and put them on the desk. He then got his comics out. His comics weren't the typical superhero comics. Although the comic revolved around a superpowered individual, they weren't exactly heros. Most of them got their powers from some deal with dark forces and they use their powers for their benefit. He set those up in order, to easily access them. He then got his movies out. Most of them were comedies, and a couple action movies. After having everything set up, he looked for Gus.

"Hey Gus, I'm ready to go." He shouted while looking for her.

"I'm in here," she called over her shoulder as she folded laundry out on the bed. She had sorted everything and made sure she put her bras and panties away first just incase Jason came to find her. She was in the middle of hanging her scrubs when she heard him call. Her bedroom door was open, so she knew he'd find her pretty easily. She layed out a set for tomorrow and then turned to see him in the door way. Gus smiled.
"All right, I'm ready to go too, I just need to grab my keys, and just so you know...you can call me August, I won't bite you for doing so." She squeezed past him in the door way, just brushing against him slightly as she made her way to the table at the front vestibule where she kept her keys, leaving him to follow her. She tunrned back to him as she opened the front door.
"Well, come on?" She laughed slightly, a bit out of her comfort zone, in the shadows of the hall he looked so grown up, nearly meanacing, but with his face obscured, she could apreciate very good looking too. Gus unlocked the car, for him as she pulled the door closed and locked it.
"First stop, campus, I'll show you how to get there form here, it's within walking distance, and you'll learn short cuts as you go, but for the first bit, this route will be easiest."

"Cool, thanks." He smiled as he walked into the car with her. As they drove through the area, he kept watched out the window, trying to memorize the path. It usually took him a couple tries to have it memorized, but since the campus was so close, he could probably have it down on his second try. As they drove by the campus, he looked to see all the buildings and students. He was starting to get nervous, and looked away to stop thinking about it.

"Hey August, um, what do you do for a living exactly?" He never really knew what it was she did for her job. His family never really mentioned it to him since they rarely talked about her. It was like she was shunned from the family for moving away. It was true, he himself was mad at her for leaving, but her could never hate her. He was already so happy to see her again.

Gus shivered hearing her name roll off his lips, yes that sounded so much nicer coming from him than the nickname she made everyone else call her by, even the couple of guys she dated had called her Gus, mainly because she hadn't told them her true one. She looked at him and smiled nearly sadly at his question, guessing it was something the folks back home were still touchy about.

"Well, I am a nurse at the hospital," she grestured to the building across the street from the main campus buildings. "It's not glamourous, but I like that I get to do pretty much everything, and there's not the same pressure as there is being the doctor." Gus shrugged.

Her entire family had wished she followed her grades into becoming a Doctor, she had the marks and the intelligence to do it, but she lacked the passion, and two years in, decided she wanted to nurse instead. Gus frowned just a bit remembering the blow out that happened, some how that decision made her the worst possible fellon in her families' eyes, how they argued she should have just persued the Doctors' degree for that last two years, instead of taking the lesser nursing degree. So she moved here, settled in and put her head down, and did a good job of it, enough they were talking about having her teach some of the fourth year students.
She stole another look at him, he had been so young yet when she left, she doubted he really knew the reasons behind her leaving. But she did remember she hadn't really been thinking about the impact on anyone else, she had just needed to go and get out, and away from that suffocating sense of dissapointment and judgement everyone seemed to have.

Gus pulled into the grocrey store and parked. "Everything is really close, it only takes about 15 minutes to get from home to here, 10 to campus or the hospital, so I don't generaly use my car when I work, except in winter." They walked into the store, and she handed Jason a basket and took one for herself, she looked at him and blushed.

"I can't stand grocery carts," she said lifting her basket and shrugging, they were going to be living together, he might as well start to get to know her quirks.

As they started in the produce isle, she looked at him, reassuringly. "Just choose what ever you want, and if you're picky about something let me know." She put a small bag of apples in her basket. "So, Jason why here for college?" She asked as she picked up a hand of bananas and then set them down in favour of the ones beside them.

Jason only smiled, thinking of her as a nurse. "Well, those patients must be lucky, knowing they got someone like you taking care of them." He teased. She was always like a sister to him, taking care of him and watching over him, but she was also kind of rough around him. He had fond memories of taking care of him when he was sick or comforting him when his dog died, so he knew she'd be a great nurse.

He took the basket and chuckled at her little quirk. He then looked through the produce and picked out some bananas. He then found a small bag of oranges, putting them in his basket. Don't worry about me being picky, there's very little food I don't like."

He then heard her question and he paused for a bit. "I'm going to this school to become a video game developer." He remembered the argument he had with his parents about that. They wanted him to become a doctor, but he never wanted that at all. He didn't have the grades, or the passion. Every time they tried to convince him, he quickly tuned out and thought about getting back to his games. His parents quickly gave up, knowing he was always against a lot of things they wanted him to do, and he was naturally lazy. Eventually, after a lot of convincing, they were finally on board with his video game developer idea, knowing he loved gaming. So he figured he'd go to college, but he expects a bunch of the family members to cast him out.

Listening to Jason talk about his dreams, Gus knew instantly why he'd come here. The college here had a great IT focus. On top of that, the family disappointment around not following the trend towards Lawyering or Doctoring, would be just as suffocating for him as it had been for her, if not more so, since his marks weren't up to par.

"We'll just start our own family, a happy one, and the rest of them can shove it," she winked at him laughing. It was going to okay having him around. She wandered down the isles picking out items putting them in either her basket or Jason's, making plans for the next week of meals in her mind, she knew the metabolism of young men and fully expected to be back here sooner than later, but staples were now stocked, and some fun stuff too. they had fallen into a comfortable silence, with Jason trailing a bit behind her.

She turned to him. "So, tonight I am off, I was thinking of making baked homemade macaroni, that will give you something to easily reheat tomorrow while I'm at work if you want?" She paused standing in meat department as she chose some cold cuts for sandwiches, and then some spicy sausages for spaghetti later in the week, absently chewing on her lower lip as she debated.

"I'd like that." He smiled as he continued to think about what life would be like here. He would still keep in contact with his family, or at least his parents. Him and his mom were pretty close, and she wasn't so disappointed when he made his decision. His dad however, they always argued. There were a few times where they got along on some things, but with most issues, they butted heads. It was obvious to him that he inherited his mom's more laid back personality than his dad's strict, follow the rules, no nonsense personality. He always hated how his dad was like that.

Jason wandered off, kind of in a daze, only to realize that he wandered into the cereal section. He looked at the different cereals, thinking that he remembered having them when he was younger, even as a snack. His parents stopped buying that and started buying healthier cereals, like those whole grain things that had no taste. He decided to grab a couple boxes. He ended up grabbing a Cookie Crisp, a Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a Choco Puffs for himself, and maybe Gus if he decided to share. He then walked down the isle some more to only to realize that he was lost. He didn't know where Gus went. He started to feel like a trapped little kid.

Gus turnned around to ask another question and discovered she was alone. The instant sense of panic that welled up in her was overwhelling. She quickly made her way to the end of the isle and started from the back of the store looking down each isle trying to find Jason. Leave it to her to loose a grown man in a freaking grocery store! Her heart was starting to pound out of control as she peaked down the second to last isle, the cereal isle, and found him looking nearly like a lost puppy. She walked up to him from behind and bumped her hip into his playfully, hiding her panic.
"So, we need to get ourselves a leash...that way neither one of us can wander off?" She looked at him, seeing the panic she had felt reflected back in Jason's deep eyes.
"Hey," Gus softened her tone. "I'm here." She looped her arm about his and started to tugg him gently to the cash. "Let's call this quits for tonight and get our selves home, huh?" She reminded herself to be more careful, that look of dismay he had was not one she ever wanted to see on his handsome face again.

Jason jumped a bit when Gus came up from behind him. He turned around and hugged her, scared out of his mind. It reminded him of when he was a child, he went to an arcade with is friends and they left without him. For a couple hours, he was alone, wandering the arcade looking for a familiar face. He started crying and had security call his parents. Since then, he had a slight fear of being alone.

When she put her arm around him, his face went red as he held her tightly. He looked up at her and smiled. "Let's go home." He had that sad puppy dog face that seemed to get to a lot of girls he knew. Whether he did it for real or just pretended to be sad, that little face helped him get his way with a lot of his lady friends. Although it wasn't much good with getting him dates.

They went to the checkout lane when he noticed a bench. He left Gus's side again and sat down, in plain sight of her so he doesn't lose her. He put on his headphones and listened to his music to calm him down.

Gus watched the cashier ring through their groceries, but kept a close eye on Jason. She wasn't sure what had caused such a dramatic reaction from him, but she wasn't about to loose sight of him again tonight. She gathered up the bags, and met him at the bench, handing him a handful of bags, smiling tentatively as he took them, his fingers brushing over hers. Gus flushed and looked away, she had to admit when he hugged her earlier she'd been surprised at how powerful he'd become. You couldn't tell from looking at him but he was soild, and she didn't want to admit it, but it felt good to be in his arms. She'd ask later about the whole girlfriend situation, she knew from her own life she hated that question herself, but as they settled in together she might as well find out if he was a playboy before the streams of girls started invading her space.

The ride home was quiet, and she chewed on her lower lip, worrying it. He'd have to be okay on his own...she did twelves typically, and tomorrow she'd be starting nights. She snuck a glance at him, greatful he seemed to be emursed in his music.

Jason was really into his music, but still felt a little scared. When they got to and intersection, he reached out and held her hand. Her hand was soft and warm against his, making him feel a little more comfortable. He still didn't look at her, he just wanted to hold her hand, enjoying that feeling of warmth that was growing inside of him.

When the car stopped, he let go of her hand and helped her with the groceries. After carrying the groceries in, he put his ipod away and sat on his bed for a bit. After having a little more time to calm down, he left his room and went to join Gus, wondering if she needed help with everything. "DO you need me to help?" He asked sheepishly

Gus had watched him go to his room, once they got into the house, and she left out the breath she'd felt as though she'd been holding since he first grasped her hand in the car. It had been completely unexpected, and an intimate gesture, her hand trapped in his, on his thigh. She knew her cheeks were still crimson from the blush that had crept it's way there. She watched the hall for a moment, before turning and setting about getting dinner ready, and putting things away.

By the time Jason came back into the kitchen, she had the white sauce started, and the water just under a boil for the pasta. She smiled at him gently, trying to reasure him, with out saying the words, as she didn't want to embarass him.
"I could...if you like...can I get you to grate the cheese? I need half of the swiss, and half of the gouda and the small chunk of mozza that is in the cheese compartment in the fridge." She watched him move to where she had everything set up, with the cheese.

"Jason," she started, but faltered when his eyes flashed to meet hers. She looked away first, took a step closer to him and touched his arm, her hand cool against his warm skin. She looked back at him, "You're okay here, you know that right? It's...just me, and you can talk to me if you need to." She watched him for a response, her hand still on his arm, Gus, held her breath again as she caught his eyes. There was something there, just the look he was giving her, that took her breath away.

Jason looked away for a moment, then looked back. "I know August. I'm perfectly happy here. Like you said, it's our new family together." He smiled, not really wanting to tell her that he had this strange feeling for her. He wasn't sure what to think. They were family, yet he couldn't stop thinking of holding her in his arms. "Don't worry, I'm fine from earlier. Don't blame yourself."

He went to go grate the cheese. He did it exactly as she asked of him. One half swiss, one half gouda, and a the small chunk of mozza, all grated into one pile. The then turned around and smiled at Gus. "Ok, I cut the cheese." He then started to laugh a little. "Cut the cheese."

"Oh for crying out loud!" She laughed at his joke, rolling her eyes. "So cheesey." She winked and thne gestured to the pot with the white sauce in it. "Now you get to add all of that, into here, and stir it until smooth." Gus moved to give him a bit more space at the stove and she dumped the pasta into the now boiling water. "By the time the sauces is done, the pasta should be ready, and we can go upstairs and watch TV and eat."

She watched him take his task to heart, and concentrate on combining the sauce. She'd take his word for right now that he was alright. It would be an interesting time getting to know him again, she felt a sharp pang at that, she'd once known him better than she had herself when he was young. Gus never really realized how much she had missed that, until now.

Jason smiled as he stirred the pasta into the sauce. He watched as it got thicker, until it was like a gooey cheese sauce. He kept stirring to make sure that it was mixed well. He then stuck his finger into the sauce, not thinking about the heat. "Ow, hot!" He shouted as he sucked on his finger. "But it tastes good." He smiled as a few tears of pain ran down his cheek.

He began to blush as he knew he looked really dumb like this. He then heard his phone go off. He check his phone to see who was calling. "Hey, can you take over? I need to take this." He then stepped aside as he answered his phone.

"Hello? Hi mom. Yea, I'm fine. Yea, I'm at her house. Yea, we are making dinner. Mac and cheese. Well it's not done, but the cheese is good. Yea, I start next week. Well I need to get comfortable here before class starts. Well he can keep whining, he always has something to say about what I do. Fine, put him on the phone." Jason groaned as he waited to hear the person on the other line. "Hey dad. Yes, I lied to come here a week early. I wanted to get comfortable here before class started, maybe hang with August for a bit before we both got too busy. So? I didn't want to be a doctor either. Lawyers are boring too. They aren't as fun as they are in the games. I saw my uncle's trail, I fell asleep. I like games, I told you this before I left, you know I'm a gamer." He moved his head away from the phone as his dad ranted. "Yea? Mmm hmmm. Ok, I bet I am. So making video games isn't a real career? Then I guess I'm a bum, good luck showing me off in front of your friends dad." He hung up the phone, tired of listening to him. He then quickly sent his mom a quick "I love you" text before getting back to Gus. "Sorry about that."

Gus took over for him when his phone rang. She tried not to listen as she finished off the pasta, choosing not to bake it tonight, but she caught him say her name and a tingle went up her spine. She so did love the way it sounded coming from him, most other people said it too harshly, but not Jason, and that made her smile. She filled two bowls, and dumped the rest into the waiting casserole dish. She scooped generous laddels of sauce over each bowl, then poured the rest over the pasta in the dish, covering it to nearly brimming. As she dusted the casserole with bread crumbs and bacon bits, she caught the tension in Jason's voice. Making a motion at him she indicated food was hot and ready, if he needed the excuse to get off the phone.
She watched him when he hung up and tacked a text to whomever and snapped his phone shut. Gus shrugged, "Kinda thought maybe you needed the excuse to be done with that call, so - you can bake the casserole for tomorrow, I'll leave instructions on the white board on the fridge here, it's simple enough." Gus handed him a steaming bowl of noodles and sauce.
"Let's go eat, and I can show you the rec/entertaing/guest room." She grabbed her own bowl and the fork beside it, and lead the way up to the loft area. She turned on the lights and made her way to the far side of the futon couch , tucking a leg under her, leaving him the rest of the couch. She turned on the flat screen and tossed him the remote.

"Find something fun, I have a pretty good cable package." She dipped her fork into her dinner, blew on it before taking the mouthful. "Then you can tell me what you plan for your free week before classes start, and if you left a broken hearted girl at home pinning for your return." She batted her eyes in mockery of someone swooning as she grinned, obviously teasing him a bit, as she filled her fork for another bite.

Jason sat down beside her. He sat close to her, but not too close so that she couldn't eat. He flipped through the channels to see what's on. "News, news, kids sitcom, crappy cartoons, some british sitcom, anime, game show, some asian show, Wayne's World, little kids show, wait........ Wayne's World." He smiled, loving this movie when he was younger. He then began eating his food. He then heard Gus mention his plans.

"Hmmmm, I'm not really sure. I was wondering if you'd like to do something when you have time off." He asked her, giving that child's look as if he was asking her to buy him an expensive toy. "If not, I'll find something to do. I'll hang around here, maybe go exploring. If I get lost, I'll call you and cry til you help me." He laughed, getting a little nervous about getting lost.

"And no, I didn't leave any girl behind. I haven't dated in about a year." He looked down a little embarrassed. Most of his friends had either the same girlfriend for years, or had a different girlfriend almost every week. He didn't have that luck. When he broke up with a girlfriend, it would take him forever to find another one.
