Mysterious Jungle

The crimson haired serpent seemed to purr with sweet bliss as he slithered into the warm water. The crusty sand covering his scales along with the dead skin softened then peeled off his body. The more he rolled his tail over the rocks on the bottom it seemed release tension from his muscles. It was obvious that a snake needed to shed skin because of growth, not only was Makai suffering with that issue, he was also under that sand for such a long time the sand practically became part of him.

When he was slightly past his waste he turned to look at his new human pet and resisted the urge to allow his jaw to drop when he noticed she took off some of the things she was wearing. Well, apparently this woman wasn’t shy. That earned her points. He couldn’t help but grin and shake his head before he slowly dunked under the water. The naga swam away from Dahlia then turned and curled around where she stood in the water.

The colors of his tail and hair made him look like a graceful silk ribbon as he twisted and turned. Satisfied with his little swim he brought his head back up above the surface of the water right in front of the woman. Reaching out a hand he took hers then turned so his back was to her. He then placed her hand over the hair that had fallen over his shoulder. “Assist…” He spoke firmly. He wasn’t rude, he just acted like he expected her to do it without question since she belonged to him now.

Dahlia couldn't help but gasp at the grace of the creature that swam around her, a bright streak of red under the surface of the water. She was a little confused when the great serpent took her hand and put it to his hair. Did he really expect her to move it for him? She decided that she'd better do as she was bid, for now at least, and gently ran her fingers through his hair, removing the knots and bits of sand as best she could while she moved it all away from his face and neck.

Sighing softly the serpent allowed his shoulders to relax, his head to fall forward so his chin was close to touching his chest. The feeling of someone else touching his hair caused his scalp to tingle but not in a bad way. He enjoyed the attention since he needed contact after being asleep for so long. He could feel the little human move his hair back away from his face and neck and couldn’t stop himself from shivering. He wasn’t cold, not by a long shot- but he was defiantly attracted to his new pet.

When he felt she had done enough he bent to get a slightly rough rock on the bottom of the lake and then turned and reached out his hands to take hers once again. He placed the palm size rock in her right hand then placed it flat on his chest and gave her a look that meant she was to wash him. He figured if she was busy doing something he wanted to do himself he wouldn’t be as tempted to touch her, to lick the beads of water off her body and smell her hair. She was unlike the humans he had met in the past, they had been a horrible species to deal with but not Dahlia, she was special.

Dahlia was so fascinated in the feel and texture of his hair she almost didn't want to stop, but soon enough Makai had stopped her and handed her a small, porous, rock, She supposed she was supposed to gently buff the dry dead skin from his torso...his very manly, and attractive torso....trying her best not to think lustful and surely taboo thoughts she began to rub away at his skin, leaving it smooth and supple when she had finished.

Makai watched his little human pet clean the caked sand off his body and did his best to suppress the urges he had to touch her. When she was done cleaning him he had no excuse not to touch her so he curled his tail around them and moved closer to her. He reached out his hand and placed his fingers under her chin. Turning her face this way and that he inspected her beautiful skin, the shapes of her ears and the fact there wasn’t a flaw on her, well…not one he could see since she still wore some clothing.

Clothing he wished she would remove although the water was doing a good job making it transparent enough for him to see a faint outline of what was underneath. Releasing her chin he shifted behind her and took his time looking up and down her body. He paid a lot of attention to her cute rump mostly. He reached out a hand and moved his fingers down her lower back and over the curve of her backside. “Interesting…” He murmured but kept his hand where it was.

When he touched her so intimately Dahlia twitched and tried to jerk away from him, but his grip was firm and unrelenting. Her cat-like golden green eyes searched his face with a mix of wariness and indignation. "Wh-what are you doing?" she asked, wiggling a bit in his grasp.

The crimson haired serpent chuckled softly at her reaction to his intimate touch but he didn’t release her right away. Instead he moved closer to her, curling his tail so the long appendage wrapped around her body, trapping her to the point that she was forced to press against his torso. Raising a claw tipped hand he caressed the side of her face, gently moving his hand down until he cupped her chin. Leaning in closer to her face he allowed a devious grin to curve up the corners of his mouth. “Caring for my pet…” He murmured then moved his hand from her chin to her neck then up into the hair at the back of her head. “I would be a horrible master if I didn’t make sure you were healthy… and satisfied.” He finished, dropping his voice down into a sensuous baritone.

"I...I can guarantee that I am healthy," said Dahlia. Her hands and chest were pressing against his smooth torso, a blush had crept across her cheeks. His touches and caresses were stirring a heat with in her that she hadn't felt in some time. Her only encounters with males were a few sticky, clumsy tumbles in her college days, this was a different touch from those fumbling boy's hands in the dark of the little dorm room or the backseat of a car. The serpents touch spoke of strength, experience and skill. She felt herself growing warm in the pit of her belly as his hand grazed her skin.

The serpents grin grew more and more as he heard what the little woman before him had to say about her wellbeing. However, he was pleasantly distracted by two soft mounds of flesh pressing into his own hard body. He couldn’t help himself and had given into the temptation of looking down at her cleavage. When he moved his exotic eyes up to her face he noticed the blush that had managed to dance its way across her cheeks.

Smiling rather sensuously he moved his hands to span her small waist and bent his head down to his lips were but a breath away from hers. “You let me be the judge of that…” He said softly and then raised his right hand to cup the side of her cheek. He moved the pad of his thumb over the reddish skin on her face then he leaned in and nuzzled the spot with his lips and the edge of his chin.

Dahlia could hardly contain the pleasurable shiver that ran down her spine when Makai nuzzled her. She didn't even have the presence of mind to be affronted at the fact that he had looked right at her breasts. When he told her that he would be the judge of her health she could only nod and stammer, "A-alright..." he was so close, if she turned her head just right, they'd be kissing....but did she really want that?

He felt her body shiver when he touched her and his grin widened but he didn’t move his face back from hers. Soon he had his lips next to her left ear. He parted them and stuck out the very tip of his semi forked tongue. The bold serpent moved the wet appendage over her soft flesh then paused to suck on her earlobe before he released it. “Good girl…” He whispered softly.

Makai moved his head closer and pushed his nose into her hair that fell down along the side of her head. Taking in a deep breath he allowed himself to enjoy this rare moment where he could be next to a creature that was the number one enemy of his people and not be threatened by her. In fact this little human did very much the opposite of anger him, she intrigued him, pushed him to test his limits and his own rules.

Sadly, being one of the leaders of his people put him in a position where he had to place himself last in everything. Even thought she belonged to him and was under his protection he still didn’t have the right to think such inappropriate thoughts about her, a human of all things.

Clenching his jaw the crimson haired serpent slowly released the woman. “Take a moment to clean yourself up… I will wait for you on land.” He said abruptly then slithered around her and moved throughout the water until he reached the slop that lead him up onto dry land.

When the serpent's tongue teased the sensitive skin below her ear she nearly moaned. Where his kind just naturally seductive?! The researcher in her was curious to find out what his mating habits were and whether they differed from humans. The woman in her just wanted to know if he'd be good in the sack. Something told her that would be a yes....

She could barely contain her disappointment when he let go of her and slithered away, leaving her to bathe herself. But she stripped away the last of her clothes and went about washing herself anyway. She was not unaware that she had a nice body. While she wasn't remarkably well endowed she did have defined curves and her days trekking around with the research team had given her figure and athletic quality, with smooth muscles evenly distributed throughout her lean frame.

Makai couldn’t help but move himself in a position where he could see the woman bathing in the water. She didn’t have a delicate look to her and her features weren’t sharp like those of the naga women. She was absolutely beautiful and she was so in her own natural way.

He had a feeling there was something more than just her appearance that drew him to her. It didn’t matter though. She was a human and he was an ancient creature and they came from different worlds entirely, nothing would change that, but he wasn’t angry over that fact, no- he was angry over the fact he actually felt a powerful attraction to her. A creature that nearly caused the extinction of his people.

Shaking the unwelcome thoughts from his mind he moved out of view so she had complete privacy, but also so he wasn’t tempted to slip back into the water and slide into… NO! Growling at himself the crimson haired serpent busied himself collecting a few things to bring back into the village with him. Some fruit and other roots his… the, human could eat.

After Dahlia gave her long, curling, dark hair a thorough wash she returned to the shore and put her clothes back on. She couldn't shake the feeling that she hadn't been alone while she'd bathed but the idea of Makai spying on her didn't bother her all that much. She returned to him after putting her clothes back on.

"I've finished," she said, she waited for him to give her instructions, uncertain what actin independently would get her.

The serpent turned to her with a few fresh fruits in his arms. He handed them to her. “Good… we need to get back into the village before nightfall. Come on…” He said, turning away from her and taking the lead slithering throughout the jungle.

Makai was intimidating looking but the softer side of his personality wasn’t anything to fear. He was sweet and caring when the occasion called for it but he had to watch himself where humans were concerned, especially a certain golden-green eyed female.

In the village the other naga had finished their daily duties and were preparing the children for bed so the adults could hunt. The elderly were taken care of by the lead warrior so they simply waited in the large hut they gathered in for meetings and such.

Inside the hut two of the male elders were arguing over the discovery of the human. One of them thought that this could be a good opportunity for the naga and the humans to make a mends, but the other naga strongly disagreed. He was firm on the idea that the humans would only trap their people and murder them off one by one.

When Makai arrived in the village the elders closed their mouths and patiently waited for their meal. The lead warrior would be along soon and once the evening meal was over with they would bed down for the night and pick up this disagreement in the morning.

Makai turned to Dahlia. “I already showed you the hut you will be staying in…” He looked at the fruit he got for her. “After you are finished eating try and get some sleep… you’ll need it.” He added with a grin before he turned from her and moved in the direction of the elder hut.

Dahlia tried not to seem nervous as she felt all the eyes of the naga follow her around the village. She nibbled the fruit Makai had given her and sat back, observing the creatures around her, aside from their physical make up of half-human half-snake they didn't seem all that different from humans, they bickered they laughed but all of the noise ceased with Makai entered the vicinity. People revered him, she had no doubt about that. When he told here to go once she finished eating she nodded, she was already beginning to feel tired, it had been a long day.

The warrior arrived shortly after Makai joined the elders around a fire in the middle of the village. Everyone was silent but the crimson haired naga was seething and everyone around him could feel it. One of the warriors had come across more humans while hunting in the jungle. Makai wasn’t happy with his knowledge. Especially when he was told they appeared to be experimenting on creatures, ripping up vegetation and extracting water. They were tracked as far as the shore and were gradually making their way deeper into the jungle.

The naga village was well hidden but if the humans literally walked into their land they would be in deep trouble. Even though they were a ancient species they were wise, and well educated in the world around them, hence the reason most of them knew how to speak English, broken or not they could be understood. However, no matter what they said to a human the naga would be locked away and treated like scientific object rather than a living breathing creature. This happen in the past and Makai was going to do his absolute best to make sure it didn’t happen again.

Makai had also been given the news that the naga who found the other humans was the village leader of the naga that lived in and around water. They couldn’t be away from water for long periods of time so they were separate from the naga in the jungle. Not this time, the leader was on his way here and would arrive by morning. Saii had a twin sister that was in love with Makai and had been as long as she was alive. Like nearly all the female naga she wasn’t fertile but that didn’t stop her from wanting to mate with Makai. Saii wasn’t too pleased by that fact and because of that he and Saii didn’t get along well. At all in fact.

For the first time in a very long time Makai was hoping morning would never come. However some time later the commotion going on outside the elder hut he was staying in made it obvious it already arrived.

After Dahlia had gone to her hut and slept for a few hours she woke, her intuition was telling her that there was potential trouble brewing, when she stepped outside she was greeted with an unusual amount of silence, there was tension in the air. She wondered if it was because she was here in their village but somehow she doubted it. She went to find Makai and ask what was going on....

When she reached the elder hut she was surprised to see unfamiliar Naga outside.

Like Makai Saii had a strong personality, he wasn’t as old as the crimson haired serpent but he was a well known leader of the water naga. His beautiful appearance made others both uneasy and impressed. For a creature of such beauty he was rather sour, serious and intimidating. Makai was his complete opposite, in both appearance and also in personality.

Where Makai had gorgeous crimson red hair Saii had hair the color of moonlight. Long and unbound till it fell to his hips. His eyes were an odd mix of different shades of blue but they seemed to shimmer like mercury above the surface of his iris. Makai had eyes that were a similar shade to his hair but deeper and with a deep brown almost black color mixed in with the red.

Where Makai was muscular and tanned despite his extended sandy slumber, Saii was pale and lean muscled but he wasn’t sickly looking. His claws were a silvery pearl color and the smaller scales blending in with his humanoid skin looked more like glitter than scales. Makai’s nails and scales were a faded crimson color that was noticeable although soft to the touch.

Aside from obvious physical appearances their social status was also something that separated them, the fact Makai was an ancient naga leader and Saii was still in his baby scales so to speak, even if he was thousands of years old. The village elders were still older than Saii but they didn’t hold a superior status in the naga community. No royal blood, no ties to the ancients at all, save for one. The fact one of the leaders produced the bloodline that now existed. The water naga also had an ancient leader that slumbered but that particular naga wasn’t known for actively participating in the lives of their naga.

When the water naga arrived in the village Saii had four of his own warriors with him as well as several gifts to give the villagers and the leader, it was a sign of respect as well as a silent thank you for the hospitality they would be receiving while staying in the jungle. As the water serpents entered the village the jungle naga escorted them to the elder hut, which was the largest shelter in the entire village. There was where they would meet the leader to discus a solution to the human problem.

The leader had yet to arrive by the time Saii caught sight of the little human female he wasn’t told about. This both angered and intruged him at the same time but most of all he was interested in her shape. She looked so different from the female naga, soft and curvy as well as tall and graceful looking. He was rather torn between being impressed and being attracted. However, the familiar sound of a deep rumbling voice behind him shoved his perverted mind back on track.

“Good to see you Saii… I’ve noticed that you met my new pet.” Said Makai as he slithered up behind Dahlia and placed his right hand on her waist. He used a light pull to bring her closer to him and further away from Saii who looked like he was about to taste test her. Removing his hand from her waist Makai slowly ran the tips of his nails up her spine then up higher and into the hair at the back of her head as he moved his lips close to her ear. “Leave as soon as I release you and go straight to your hut… I’ll come get you when it’s safe…” He finished, but kept his eyes pinned to Saii the entire time as if daring him to come closer, step over the line and dare to touch his human. He just hoped Dahlia would listen to him.

Dahlia could do little more than gape at the sight of the new naga, he was almost as magnificent as Makai...and it seemed he held a similar status. When her master grabbed her and ran his claws down her spine she shivered. However when he told her to leave as soon as he let go she was confused. What was going on here? She prayed that it wasn't anything that was to serious but she doubted her prayers would be answered. When Makai did let go of her she walked away, she gave him an uncertain look over her shoulder but didn't question him...she just hoped she'd get answers soon.

The pale serpent grinned rather crudely at Makai after his eyes were forced off the departing human. “I see you’re already sleeping with the enemy.” He said in a voice that sounded like a sneer. “Looks like you haven’t changed a bit Lord Makai.” He finished with an amused smirk. The warriors behind him struggled to keep their faces blank but each cracked a grin when Makai chuckled softly at the comment rather than get angry.

“And I see you are the same asshole you’ve always been.” The crimson haired serpent said in a playfully insulting comeback. Saii on the other hand automatically snapped back to business since he knew playing a pissing contest again Makai would only cause an argument and they had bigger problems.

“Shall we get to our discussion now?” Asked the ancient serpent, the pale male in front of him nodded and the two naga of higher status slithered into the large hut. Outside the other naga were already up and had started their morning, making meals, doing chores and tending to other daily activities.

An elder of the village delivered a meal of fruit and vegetables to the hut the human was in but she didn’t linger, instead the food was dropped off then she left to return to her duties. Inside the elder hut the two lead naga were deep into a discussion over the arrival of the humans. They learned that while there was already a group of humans the female came from there was also an additional group of humans on the island.

Apparently one was hunting game and the other was a research team. The one they worried about the most was the humans that planned on killing and stomping throughout the jungle like they owned it. Naga were peaceful creatures by nature but the tension between them and the human species was literally on its last thread. Saii and Makai finally agreed on the same plan and decided that it was best to gather and speak with all the naga tribes rather than wake any more leaders.

Once a leader was awoken he or she was awake until something biological in their bodies makes them go into a state similar to hibernation. Since the hibernation has to be awoken by force or by the leaders will it was dangerous for them to bother the ancients. Makai happed to be an exception because he woke up at different times throughout the years, hence the reason why he knows so much about the human world both ancient and modern.

Saii took advantage of the food that had been prepared in honor of his arrival and Makai decided to revisit his little human. He was somewhere in the village making his way to her hut when the ear piercing sound of a shotgun blared throughout the busy humm of the jungle.

Right away chaos broke out and the naga began to scatter, slithering out of their huts and into hidden hiding places, all but Makai. He cared about his people loved them and wanted to protect them but Dahlia was number one to him, for reason he didn’t understand and that made him angry, but even so he couldn’t ignore her.

Dahlia was already in the hut when she heard the shot of a gun. Her first instinct was to run to Makai but she stifled the urge, she knew it couldn't be one of the researchers. They'd only brought tranquilizer guns. Most of the creatures in the rain forest were endangered and one of the restrictions on the team was a very absolute, "No Hunting" policy. That could mean only one thing...poachers. She knew the safest thing would be to stay in the hut, but she felt the overwhelming need to warn Makai and she ran out of the hut to go find him.

The jungle seemed to vibrate with fear and anger as the naga panicked and remained hidden. A portion of the warriors took weapons and slithered into the jungle in the direction the loud sound came from. Makai searched the village for other naga that hadn’t hidden but he also kept an eye out for Dahlia.

In the group of panicked serpent people Saii went in the opposite direction of the flow of traffic and began looking for the leader. He wanted to speak with Makai about this situation because he wanted to know if that woman was involved in this chaos. He was beginning to think she was hiding also until he saw her.

Narrowing his eyes he moved faster and slithered up behind her. Reaching out he took her wrist in his hand and pulled her backwards so she would stumble into him. “You! I bet they are attacking because of you.” His grip increased, silver eyes blazing, he kept his angry face within inches of hers. “TELL ME!” He growled.

Dahlia cried out when the Naga grabbed her. "No! No they aren't with me! They're poachers, I'm a researcher!" she cried trying to pull away from him.

The pale serpent tightened his grip on her wrist and leaned down so his face was even closer to hers. “I don’t believe you… you’re all the same selfish, greedy and cruel cre…” He hissed the words angrily but the rest of his sentence was cut off when a hand fell heavily on his shoulder, gripped it then pulled him backwards so he was forced to release the woman.

Saii turned and was about to give the interrupter an earful when he noticed it was Makai and a very pissed off Makai at that. “I told you this human was under my care…” The redhead began saying in a dangerously low voice as he slithered in front of Dahlia and moved towards Saii.

The pale serpent immediately lowered his height and wiggled the long length of his tail backwards to keep a safe distance between himself and his angry leader but Makai kept coming closer. “I made it very clear that she wasn’t to be touched… I also advised you of her reasons for being here to begin with… but you still go against my orders?” The ancient hissed and tensed his muscular frame.

Saii backed into a tree but ducked right away when Makai twisted his hips and flung the heavy length of his tail at the pale serpent. He managed to get out of the way but the tree behind him was chopped in half, wood, bark and leaves scattered into the air about his head then fell down on the slender frame of the water naga.

Makai seemed to find the will to control his temper and straightened himself. “Get out of my sight.” He hissed angrily then watched as the other male scrambled away from him and into the jungle. The crimson haired serpent then sighed and turned his head to look at the woman. “Are you alright?” He asked softly.
