The Enemy of the true Enemy (Fancy_BratXDingo)

"If not," Nohman stated, "I'll crash on the couch like I was doing earlier." He opened the door to find two beds up front next to a tv and the obviouse other accomindations in the back. "Well, I don't see a couch but I see two beds. Window or wall," he asked as he walked in and turned on the lamps and then walked over to the tv, turning it on and finding it stuck on the lifetime network.

Melanie was quite pleased to find that there were two beds, since as of now, she was not planning on sharing a bed. She sighed softly as she made her way to the bed closer to the window. "I'll take this one. If I can't fall asleep I'll just keep watch. That sound fair?" She wasn't all that interested on what was on TV, seeing as she didn't really get the chance back at work. "At least this room will suffice for now. So what's this restaurant you were telling me about? Anything good to eat there?"

"Not sure," Nohman replied as he turned off the tv. "I think its like a greasy spoon, have anything american you can think of with extra grease and at times, extra crispy things that shouldn't be crispy." He looked over at Melanie and said, "lets grab some grub then. They might not come for us with us being here."

"Sounds like good eating." she muttered with an obvious hint of sarcasm. "Geez...but I suppose when you're hungry you'll eat just about anything." She stood up from the bed, stretching a little. "Well, let's go then. I wanna eat as much as I can before we hit the sack." She already started making her way out of the motel and outside, despite not knowing where this restaurant was in the first place.

Nohman followed behind, locked the door, and handed the key to the hunter. "If we have to split, we meet up back here. Call it a relay point if you will. He pointed over towards a log building with a neon sign. "Thats it over there, Open 24/7 365." He slowly walked over there as he noticed something. "Wheres the rain?"

Melanie took the key and pocketed it. "Sounds good, but just to be safe, I'm not leaving any of my stuff in there. Who knows what might happen to my weapons when we're gone?" Her eyes looked to where he was pointing, noting the bright neon sign. The place certainly looked a little cheap, but she was hoping the food would make up for that. She paused as he commented on the rain, looking up to see that the sky had actually cleared up a little. "Huh...that's odd. I thought it was supposed to get worse."

"Same here," he stated as he continued walking over to the resruant. "When do you think you should check in with your men to tell them your okay," Nohman asked as he opened the door and stood aside to let Melanie through first. WHat bothered him was he was hardly wrong with probability so if it wasn't raining, what did he miss caculate?

She followed him to the restaurant, but she didn't let her guard down. Her hands rested on her weapons, ready to use them if the situation called for it. "It's been a couple days now since I left HQ. Of course, I'd want to say now, but it's not that simple. There are certain conditions that must be met, considering I don't carry a phone to make this easier. Especially since I'm on a mission, it's going to require some demon blood, normally from the ones I slay. I don't really want to go into the specifics right now, but if we can end this soon, then I'll be able to get in contact with them soon. Tomorrow may be the last day that they'll go without sending a search team after me."

Nohman raised an eyebrow. "Huh, demons then were over ugssing. They figured you guys were always in contact with your leaders," Nohman stated as the door closed behind them and he walked over to a booth, offering one side to the hunter. 'then we have a long day if we don't see that second wave huh?"

"Exactly. Things might get a little complicated if the second wave doesn't show up soon. I made the mistake of wiping off the blood from earlier. Of course, I hadn't anticipated I'd be coming along with you." She took the seat next to him, trying to see some of the food they offered. "Anything here you can recommend?"

"Never been here," Nohman stated. "One of my fields as a high rank demon was research, I learned about this town from books, tv, and when I could the internet. However, I heard they offer seafood here, with us not exactly being near the ocean, i wouldn't advice eating that."

"Good call. I wasn't really in the mood for that anyway." Being that they were up in the mountains with different beasts roaming about, maybe a meat dish would be best? "Don't they have any liquor here? I mean...a may be just a year shy of the legal age, but nobody really follows that crap anyway. A good drink will help calm me down."

"Humans breaking laws that they make, go figure," Nohman stated as he picked up a menu and scanned over it. He then handed it over. "They have it but they mention you will be carded next to the prices."

"Gah...damnit." She let out a heavy sigh as she rested her head in her arms on the counter. "Can it. It's not like I'm planning to drink and then flaunt my ass for all to see all right? Can't you just get a drink and give it to me? That should work right? you'd think they would be more lenient with the people watching over their asses."

Nohmen chuckled and said, "if you want me to buy you the drink, convince me to get it for you somehow." Nohmen figured she would try to plead, beg, make deals, or something atleast to get the drink but he doubted she would put anything out there to get the drink.

When he said 'convince' the first thing that came to mind was to beat him up. That was definitely out of the question. She wasn't about to kill herself because of alcohol. She banged her hand on the counter in frustration, holding her head up with her hand. "Great...this is only making me need it more. Look, if I could kick your ass right now I would, though that probably wouldn't guarantee a drink if I did slap you around. "I can't even say I'll do whatever you want huh? That's like the oldest response you could give."

"Correct," Nohmen replied as he crossed his legs and steppled his finger tips together. "Because I guess what I would want is understanding but it would be hard to get it. So, try to be a little more specific of what for the alchol." Nohmen had a small grin on his face, he was slightly enjoying this. Almost like putting candy infront of a baby, or the popular one, showing drugs to a recovering addict and telling them they can have it for free.

"Understanding...? I figure if I didn't give you that much we wouldn't really be here now would we?" She grumbled a bit as she looked at their drinks again. "You're asking me to pick a specific drink?" It was a little weird considering he had made her try and convince him to get her a drink in the first place. She could tell he was really getting a quick out of messing with her like this.

"Well, I figured you might want something with an adequite taste, not the cheap everyday at a gas station crud. Hell, once I saw a carton of wine at the dollar store. What I am saying is make an offer for the drink of some kind, one that would equal the price of the beverage you want. If I can use it and it is worth the price of the drink, I would be more then happy to buy you the drink, domna," Nohman stated, using chinese at the end to simply mean, do you understand? He was ready to order his food but he was enjoying watching the hunter as she tried to get a drink.
