He smiled into her hair as he heard her say her feelings. now he could really show her what he did. he had something to fight for now, something other then revenge. he had the one thing he never really felt as a kid, or as he was now. he had love. "Thank you amaya." he said, hugging her tightly, nuzzling her shoulder. just then, a wolf tackled them. "Agh!" delshyk pushed the wolf off and threw it a bone. the wolf was pitch black, with blue stripes on her tail, ears, and left leg. the wolf ignored the bone, instead jumping onto amaya abd licking her face playfully, covering her with saliva in a way only a canine could do. the wolf had a back pack, a knife strapped to its side, and a teardrop necklace. "Amaya, id like you to meet my wolf. her name is snow." Delshyk smiled as he revealed one of his secrets. "She's part of my team, atleast whats left of it. the rest of my pack are arctic wolves, and i hid them far up north." his heart fluttered, light as a feather, as he helped amaya up, with the wolf circling happily around her feet. things had lightened up after they had said how they felt, and now delshyk could be his normal, slightly awkward, crazy self. he didnt have to worryy about rejection anymore. he stared into amaya's deep blue eyes, his sky blue eyes filled with love for her. "Tell me if you want to slow things down, if its too much of a change for you." he smiled widly at her, showing alot of his white teeth, glimmering in the light.

Amaya was cuddled him back her hands where wrapping around him tightly as she smiled "there nothing to thank me for, you fool" she whispered as she saw a wolf. She was shocked her life had start to become more up-normal than ever. 'First vampires, then his sister, and now...what? a wolf ...' she thought as it was licking her face. " Down, get down for me..." she tried to yell as Delshyk explained her who it was. Amaya stood up with Delshyk helped and smiled "I was scared to death" she said as she tried to touch snow's head. She looked at the wolf it looked rare and pretty "So your Snow " she reposed as the wolf was around her legs. She looked at Delshyk "It's big changes, but if you're around I don't mind if they happen" she said and hugged him again.​

Snow pushed her head into amaya's hand. kyshek's radio crackled, voices filling the air, along with the sound of heavy gunfire. "Unit 3465, report to sector-64, i repeat, report to sector-64. we met heavy resistance and we need backup!" delshyk looked into amaya's eyes. "If you thought all this was a big change, wait till you see this." Delshyk started gearing up, putting on his bullet proof vest, handing one to kyshek and amaya. next, he pulled out a heavy mg and handed it to kyshek, while giving amaya an smg with a red dot sight. "Alright guys, stay behind me. sector-64 is too close to home to let it slide." delshyk turned around and walked into the forest with his gun ready, kyshek and snow following behind him. delshyk didnt think amaya was ready for this, but there was no choice. they couldnt lose that sector.

Amaya tried to pet Snow as she heard the voice that was coming from the radio 'whats going on now' she thought as everything happen so quickly. Amaya looked at Delshyk as he informed her that thinks gonna change more than she ever imagined. Amaya breath stopped for some time she was getting nervous, everything looked that they were going to war.She closed her eyes "I don't want to see " she whispered back at him as she tried to relax, before she got the bullet proof vest. She tried putting it on, but she wore it backwards, making her look as an amateur. Amaya got the SMG, it was the first time she held in her hands a submachine gun she had no idea how to use this think 'how I'm going to refill the intermediate-power cartridge she thought' as she walked behind Delshyk as they were going to met Unit 3465. Amaya was walking in new paths now and her future had changed 180 degrees.​

he fixed the way amaya was wearing her vest as he told her briefly the quickest way to reload and where to aim, and he quickly taught her how to steady her hands. he didnt like bringing her into this. he didnt like to think of what could happen, but the fact was that innocents were dying now. the vampires had just turned our secret war into a full blown bloody battle that everyone knew about. they were soon surrounded by the sounds of gunfire as they met their unit. they were in a small village overlooking a river. "Srgt. Delshyk of alpha 1 reporting for duty." the commander nodded. "Son, the shit hit the fan, hard. the vampires turned everything global. people are watching this on the news. my friend is sitting there in front of his tv, just staring. we need to end this." delshyk nodded. suddenly the ground rocked. "MEDIC!!!" "They have mortars! Take cover!" the air filled with more gunfire, acompanied by the whistling of the shells, the screams of wounded. the commander turned. "Goddamnit! Find out where the hell those marines are!" "Yessir" said the radio man as he called HQ. "Hostiles approaching at 6-o-clock!" delshyk looked into amaya's eyes. he seemed to do that alot. "Kyshek, watch over amaya. I'm going in." kyshek nodded gravely and held amaya back as delshyk ran to the village, gun blazing.

Amaya was still lost but she quickly picked up how to reload and use her SMG. "Ok i got " she spoke back at Delshyk as he was showing her how to do it. As the commander was talking, amaya looked at the news, things had changed and they did pick time. In sudden she was seeing Delshyk started running in the village as she felt Kyshek holding her back. She pushed Kyshek back "I'm not going to sit here and do nothing" she voiced at her "this was is happen cause of me, at least I should be a part of it". She grab her gun steady and folled Delshyk into the villages. Guns were firing and the noise was higher than ever, the smell of blood was surrounding her as she tried to reach Delshyk.​

delshyk took out the guards at the entrance before running into the village. he ducked behind a wall just as an mg turret spotted him and started firing. "crap..." he hucked a grenade and waited 5 seconds before running out, dodging bullets until the grenade exploded. he looked back and saw amaya running up to him. he ran over to her and threw her against a wall, just as a rocket flew by, barely brushing amaya's sleeve. he fired and pressed forward, taking out the front line. "Amaya! Stay there!" he kept pushing forward, working his way through their defense. then, he heard a distant roar. it was the sound of jets, lots of jets. they had air support. he ran back to amaya and covered her body with his, hugging her to his chest as pieces of rock flew up from the bullets and rockets that came from the planes overhead. after the bullet storm had subsided, he peeked around the wall. dead bodies were scattered among rubble. "Alright, we can move on." he stood and helped amaya to her feet. "Since you followed me in here, here's what we're gonna do." he pointed to a tall building with huge cannons sticking out of the side. "We have to take that down, quickly."

Amaya was running after him as the next think she felt was her body hitting at the wall "Aghh!" hurt her back as Delshyk pushed her on the wall. She stayed pinned at that wall as Delshyk was working to break the defenses. She noticed the jets not knowing what to do as Delshyk covert her body. After he helped her to stand again on her feet the next move was to fight. Amaya nodded and grab the SMG waiting for Delshyk orders as she looked at the tall building "Alright Capt!" waiting at his next orders. Never new if she could manage through it but there was not a change not to take place in that battlefield.​

he grabbed his radio off its place on his shoulder. "Marines, push the line. im going to attempt to take that tower out. call in another airstrike to soften them up, and tell eagle squad to move to left flank." "yessir" came the reply from the radio. he waited for the jets, and after they left, he stood and moved, no noticing it when amaya called him captain. he ran to the side of the building and pulled out some C-4. he quockly placed it on a beam and waited for amaya to catch up. 6 vampires saw him though and started fo shoot. he returned fire, hitting 3 in the head, 2 in the arm which made them fall back, and 1 in the leg, which made him fall out of the window, right onto delsyks knife. he saw eagle squad work its way to the other side of the building, and they gave delshyk a thumbs up as they planted their charges. "Alright, lets move!" in a flash, eagle was hit by a mortar shell. "SHIT!" yelled out delshyk as he ran towards amaya. "Get your head down!" he said as the ground next to him exploded, sending shrapenel tearing into his side. he kept moving though as the radio crackled. "Get out of their delshyk! They have heavy armor inbound!" he grabbed amaya by the hand. "Come on, lets move." he said as he took out a detonator and pressed the button, exploding the c4 and sending glass and metal flying. the tower fell, killing anything in it or next to it. the tower fell onto the column of tanks, and a cheer could be heard from our forces. we had done it. we could advance now.

Amaya didn't know what to do and if she would be any help to him. As she was trying to catch him up she saw the 6 vampires attack she raise her weapon and shoot, but before her 1st shoot was done Delshyk had already taking care of them.At least she manage to hit the one vampire that Delshyk had shoot in the leg. But the fire shoots where still power and would cause her thin body to fall back. Everything was moving fast she was thinking as she heard him telling her to crouch in a way she felt she was holding him back. She took his hand as Delshyk told her to move. She could see the tower fall, as she nodded at him "Great work,Capt!" getting him a smile. But she felt she hadn't done much. She lowed her eyes "I'm so useless" she whispered at herself.​

when they got back to the rest of the unit, delshyk and amaya received cheers and high fives. "Srgt. Delshyk, under orders of General Townes, you and this new girl have both been promoted to captains. good job soldiers." the crowd cheered again and fired their guns in the air. "SAVE YOUR AMMO!!" yelled delshyk. "This isnt over, and your fools to think it is. they had reinforcements coming, so start digging foxholes." the men just gaped at him. "Dont just stand there, MOVE!" the men scattered and scrambled to start the digging. by the next wave of enemies, we had dug in extremely well and that gave us an advantage. during the down time, delshyk showed amaya how to prevent the kick from the smg from knocking her down. he also showed her how to feather off rounds for increased accuracy. he gave her some grenades, explaining what they did and how to avoid killing teammates with them. after that, they simply waited and watched, watched and waited for the enemies to show themselves.

Amaya was always close to him, after all she didn't know and didn't trust anyone else. Amaya thought 'this'll never be over' she thought as the men were fired on the air. Amaya then started learning how not to get smugged down every time she used the SMG, it took her more than 100 tries and several bruises to avoid that of happen. She slowly got most of the tutorial that he gave her. Her mind was lost after what had happened the easy days she was living felt like past. She was waiting with him but nothing made any more sense. Why had thinks gone out of hand, was it really not another way to settle this. She was looking at Delshyk and worried more of what tomorrow would bring for them.​

the radio crackled as dusk streaked the day. night was slowly falling, and thats when the succubi came out. he'd have to keep a close eye on his men. he attached a thermal scope on his rifle. "Where the hell are they? i thought reinforcements were coming." said delshyk as he scratched his head. "They are planning something." his stomach growled. he hadnt eaten yet. he pulled out a snicker bar kyshek had given him earlier, gave half to amaya, and nibbled on his end absentmindedly. he was deeply lost in thought. amaya was a quick learner, but nothing could prepare you for a war better than a war. he feared for amaya, was afraid about her safety. she had been forced into this, just like delshyk. he never wanted this to happen, not so close to home. he shook his head. "Sir, we have movement up ahead." said a sniper. i nodded and peered through my thermal scope. "Hold fire, he's a human." the girl was scared, trembling and walking slowly, looking over her shoulder. she was covered in cuts, so one of the men went out to help her. when she got past the first foxhole, medics swarmed around her, treating her wounds.

Amaya could sense the uneasiness around her it was something very wrong in the air. She took the half snicker bar as she nodded at Delshyk. Amaya noticed the girl that was coming closer she looked a bit familiar to her. She looked at her from far away, but something felt wrong. She didn't say anything she just sit down trying eating her snicker as she was looking at her. She had placed her hand behind her back where she had the knife. Sometimes she would turn her eyes to Delshyk but she knew he had much in his that moment she wouldn't add some more 'I don't like that girl' she thought in her had.​

delshyk looked deeply into the forest. "Where are they?" he asked himself. "Where are they?" he continued to nibble on his snicker. a man came over to his foxhole and saluted. "At ease soldier. what is it?" delshyk reluctantly pried his eyes away from the forest. "Sir, we have reports of movement on the left flank. we wanted to know if we should go check it out." he nodded. "Go find out, and when you come back, get some sleep. it doesnt look like they are coming." the soldier jogged off. "Amaya, what do you think?" asked delshyk, turning to her and scooting over to sit by her. "Do you think they are coming?" he started to pace. "I hate this part. i hate the waiting for them to make a move." he looked like a caged wolf. friendly, yet very dangerous.

Amaya put her hands on his shoulder mostly to comfort him,her blue dark eyes looked worried. She could feel that they were moving on the forest, it was something she never feel. Her blood was like it was calling them, like it would agree with them. And that made her more worried. She didn't want to stress him more she tried to smile "Just the girl..." she whispered and taking her words again back breaking her fake smile. She looked at him more serious, "I think they are coming, I can sense them...so close" she said letting a tear slide down her cheek. She knew she would make him worry more but this feelings were raising more.​

Delshyk stopped pacing as soon as amaya touched him. then, his skin prickled with the ominous warning she had spoken. "You're right." he said. "They are coming." he wiped her tear away and looked into the forest. his blood went cold and he shivered. why hadnt he noticed the tiny shifts in the dark? he raised his gun. now they were in vampire time, the time they were strongest. "Alright, we're going to go into that forest, and we're going to shove our feet into their asses! Lets move soldiers!" he climbed out of his foxhole and ran into the forest, followed by what remained of the unit. there was no resistance in the forest, but they came to another village. this village was alot bigger than tne last one, but some of the houses had lights on. dead bodies littered the floor, except they were all human. delshyk took off his glasses and looked at the bodies. "This is the last straw." he said as he pulled out a bottle of whiskey. he always kept one with him, even though he didnt drink. he tore off a piece of his shirt and shoved it into the half empty bottle until it was touching the alcahol. he took out a lighter and held it to the piece of shirt until it caught on fire before he threw it into a house with a light on. the bottle smashed and started a fire. "Alright ladies, clear each and every building. use lethal force, that means no flash and clear. we are going full out now." the responses of yessir made delshyk nod his head.

Amaya was ready as she heart the command she simply fooled orders now. She took the gun in her hands and moved alonge with me. The atmosphere was dark and thick small was grounding the village as the got in it. She could sense they were closer but she couldn't see nothing. She was close to Delshyk as he through the bottel and the place become lighter.Amaya nodded at him and a calm voice come out her "Yes Capt!" although she was scared to death she summand her fare and walked with him to a new battle.​

the air was silent, except for the hissing and crackling of the house, which had now been engulfed in flames. he, amaya, and 2 other soldiers stopped at the door to the first house. "Alright, we look top to bottom. destroy anything that looks like a radio, or a vampire.On the count of three, we go in. 1, 2, 3. Frag and clear, GO GO GO!" with that said, he kicked the door open and threw a frag grenade. after it went off, shaking the house and flinging metal into the wall, killing anything in the room, he went in with his gun to his shoulder and his flashlight on. "Room clear. move up." the small team split from 4 to 2, the other 2 soldiers heading upstairs while delshyk and amaya searched the first floor. "Alright, fire team 1 to fire team 2, this floor is clear." "Roger, everything is clear up here." they replied over the radio. "Good, keep moving up. we'll follow and try to pick up anything you might've missed." "Affirmative. moving now." he looked over to amaya, felt her breathing, and suddenly felt bad. "Amaya, im sorry for dragging you into this."

Amaya, who was fallowing him, nodded "You didn't drag me into this, ...they are after me" she tried to explain that it would had happen since she is been hunt down, at least with him she had a change to survive, although there were still secrets and thinks for her to revile. Everything looked cleared as the talked but Amaya's blood was uneasy again. She could feel them so close again. And she wasn't wrong cause the vampires were after here so this time they didn't just stayed where they were, they started moving to the building were Amaya was. Slowly the place got surrounded by them. They couldn't still see it but Amaya froze in the middle of the room "no way" she whispered in fare as they started to revel themselves and they were outnumbered.​

suddenly, he saw them. they were outnumbered. "Team 2, watch your backs. we ran into slight resistance down here, so call in with the other teams." "Uh, sir. all radio channels have nothing but static. no one is calling in." "Shit. alright then,'call in some air support, and get the 101st airborne over here." "Yessir." he looked at amaya and pulled out another gun. he switched it to auto, and looked around him. "Amaya, when i say go, i need you to run through the hole im about to make. run as fast as you can. im going to give you as much time as possible." his eyes turned to steel as he pulled a knife and put it in his mouth, and crouched. he counted to five mentally and yelled, "GO!" as he pulled the triggers and held them, making a huge gap in the circle surrounding them. he turned and watched as the vampires fell to his surprise attack. the other half of his team came down, firing at the remaining vampires. he blew a hole in the wall and shot at the army of vampires that were outside. he yelled savagely as he busted through their defensive line, followed by his team, clearing a path for amaya and buying her time to run. he had no hope of surviving, but he was prepared. when he died, a small bomb located in his guns and knives would detonate, killing anything within a 5 mile radius.

Amaya was scared not so much of the vampires as from him, nothing could easily escape them. When Delshyk asked her to run she couldn't. She saw his team member coming and helping for her clean path, but she couldn't see how they would survive that. "No, I can't just leave" she said as she was looking around chaos. Her heartbeats raised and everything was going to end soon, she looked at the vampires "Just take me, damned...stop it!" she was standing in the middle of the room and was yelling. The vampires turned to face her, she let her gun fall down, she could feet that their were so close. Her blood was like it was desiring to be with them. She closed her eyes, her breath stopped, it felt like some kind of force was gathering under her. She placed her hand on her necklace and whispered "Do as you will". The vampires waited no longer, they attacked her. Before the fangs of the first one could touch her,the necklace turned blue. Suddenly everything got dark and blue light was exploded with so much force causing every vampire to burn only in some msec. When everything was normal none of the vampires was standing there, the necklace lost its color as Amaya breath come back and then she fainted. Everyone of the team was looking each other asking "what happen", as the saw Amaya lying in the middle of the room.​

delshyk could feel the energy, and instinctively ducked. when he looked around to find nothing but ash, he looked at amaya, lying on the ground. he walked over to her and picked her up. "Cancel the air support. tell them to send an evac chopper ASAP. we're done here. sector-64 is secure." "Roger. the evac is on its way sir." he put amaya over his shoulder, carrying his rifle in the other hand. the other gun he had dropped. a bullet was turned sideways in the barrel, rendering it useless. the heli landed after a few minutes, and delshyks fire squad, the only survivers of the 85th marine battalion, climbed aboard, tired and battle-weary. he put amaya down next to him and gently nudged her awake. "Amaya, wake up. it's over now. we got out alive." he looked at her necklace, his eyes still hard. his side was bleeding from the fragments of metal that got stuck in there by the last mortar shell. he kissed her head and hugged her with one arm. "Someone, get on those turrets. shoot anything that moves." "Yessir" the two other soldiers answered. now, they were alone. hopefully they didnt have to worry about another battle happening soon.

Amaya felt Delshyk putting her on his shoulder but she couldn't move. She sensed around no danger any more but she couldn't get what was going on. Her blood didn't wand to fight them back, it felt that it belonged to them. She didn't understand anything anymore. 'but the necklace protected us ' a thought come on her mind 'so thats is its power'.But she had no idea how to use it again, she never knew it was capable to do such a destruction and massive kill. But what worried her more was her blood "That feeling ..." she whispered as Delshyk tried to weak her up. After a while she opened her eyes, she wasn't hurt only a small scar close to her lips that was bleeding a bit. She looked at Delshyk and smiled, she was so happy everything could end like that and mostly that he was alive. "Hey there" she said in a soft tune while she put her hands around him and hugged him tight. Her lips close to his kissing him, as a small amount of blood was mixed in his mouth, Delshyk felt her blood slowly down his throat moving on his veins. All his wounds where healed and he could feel more strength raising inside him. That was the power of the blood, thats why the vampires wanted it, cause the one how could have will experience ultimate power. Amaya didn't get what had happened but know Delshyk knew most of the riddles of the blood and the necklace.​

Delshyk pulled back in surprise as he felt his wounds heal, and his strength return. first the necklace, now her blood? he had to admit though, her blood tasted good. he shook his heead. 'Im thinking like a vampire' he thought to himself. "So, um, how do you feel?" he hugged her and kissed the her hair. he couldnt get the thought of her blood out of his mind, or the taste of it out of his mouth. he shook his head and took a drink from his little silver flask. 'ugh, im not going to turn vampire on the girl i love.' he hugged her tightly. "Sir, we have movement in the forest below. no heat sig, but target is moving at just over 13 mph." delshyk looked up at the pilot. "Go higher. activate the camo, and the sound dampers. we cant afford to go down." Roger, increasing altitude." he let out a breath of relief as the heli rose. "Keep a lookout for any and all foreign flying objects." "Understood."
