FFVIII: Final Cry (Ishu and BlisteredBlood)

"Well, when you put it like that, then how about you and I go out into the town for a little while. Besides, it's gotta be hell on you for being all cooped up in a place like this." Alphonse answered with a bit of a smile on his face then shrugged his shoulders one more time and then slowly rose from his seat a little bit later. "We can go anywhere you like." He offered. As mentioned, he did miss the freedom of moving around at his own free will, but it wasn't like that he outright hated the job of guarding the Headmaster's daughter from potential threats. Besides, if it meant anything, what he offered her was at least a little semblance of freedom.

"Why should that matter?" Heishiro answered with a brow raised. "As far as I know, that's something no one ever cares to share anyway before they go to the front lines and serve their country." He added with a slow shake of his head as he continued to walk near her as his hands balled up into slight fists for a moment.
 
Oh, I would like that very much! Ishu stood up from her seat and put her cards back into her pocket. I don't know where we are right now. I think I will go ask the pilot. She stepped away from the table and started to walk towards one of the elevators, the one that led to the floor above them. She put in the code to open the doors and stepped into the elevator.

(He can go with her or wait. I am going to just get through it all to save some time.)

Once at the top, she approached the pilot. Before she could even ask, he told her where they were and asked where she wanted to go. They were already near Fisherman's Horizon to refuel and she decided Fisherman's Horizon would be perfect. She went back down the elevator and approached Alphonse to tell him the news (assuming he didn't go with her).

"Because you are unusually on edge. If you were really serving your country your blood wouldn't be boiling." She continued to refuse to look at him as she spoke, "So, either you have an attitude problem or you're lying to me."
 
(Might as well have him go with her. Besides, I don't even know where they are! o_o)

"Here, I'll come along with ya. Wouldn't want ya to go alone now, ya know?" Alphonse chuckled in reply before he then began to follow her over to the elevator she was at, keeping his eyes on her as she punched in the code to operate it and when he heard the ding the elevator gave, Alphonse glanced over to the doors as they swung open for them then stepped inside with her.

After they arrived at the top floor of the Garden, Alphonse would then step out of the elevator later and noticed that their destination had now changed to someplace that he hadn't been in recent memory. So this is where we are...? He thought with an arched eyebrow before watching Ishu walk over to him. "So where'd the Garden stop at, eh?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"That's none of your concern, ma'am." Heishiro answered as he locked eyes with her. "If you're asking me if I have any personal business out here, then like I said, that's not your problem." He added.

Fisherman's Horizon. The garden stops here a lot to refuel. She smiled at him and started for the other elevator that led to the floor that the entire garden could be accessed from. A voice chimed over the intercoms to the entire garden declaring, "Attention students, SeeD and faculty, we have arrived at Fisherman's Horizon. We will be refueling and in the mean time you are all free to venture through the city. Report back at 1800."


Aimee jumped up from her seat in the library and exclaimed, "YES!!" Finally! She would get to properly stretch her legs somewhere there were real live people, food, places, shops, oh shops! She beamed as she shoveled all of her school work and other various clutter against her chest and ran out of the library while cheering. She went straight to her room, dust practically flying out from under the backs of her feet as she sprinted to put her things away.

Eve stopped and turned around, glaring down at the boy, "I never asked about your personal life- unless you're a spy, in which case I would have no choice but to kill you." She crossed her arms against her chest, "Now tell me what has you so upset- and that is an order." Her eyes narrowed over at him. Anyone who would hire an assassin wouldn't hire just one- and not some kid. Unless he was just the delivery boy- but he lacked charisma. He lacked acting skills. He was terrible, so there was no way he was against her. Not in a way that would require a third party paying him anyway.
 
(Oh right. I keep forgetting that I have a tab open that shows the locations of FFVIII. <_<)

"Fisherman's Horizon?" Alphonse answered before he reached a hand up to the back of his head and itched it a bit. "Well, this is one place I haven't been to at all." He added with a chuckle before lowering his hand to his side then looked up when he heard the announcement over the intercom. When he heard the time to return back to the facility, Alphonse nodded again before looking back to Ishu and smile at her again. "Looks like we got some time on our hands. So what say we head out into the town and go do some stuff, huh?" He asked with a smile on his face.

At that point, Heishiro glared at Eve with a bitter look in his eyes before looking away from her. "I'm not a spy, so you can forget about that." He answered with his eyes narrowed.

"You wanna know what's gotten me so pissed off?" Heishiro asked as the venom in his eyes was still present. "Try being me for a bit when you've got nothing to go on for years - years, I tell you - when you know someone is out there that has made your life a living nightmare when you were younger. Someone that basically killed your past and denied you a possible future." He spoke in a way that was truly genuine, but was somewhat cryptic. "What I'm after is the son of a bitch that was the son of a bitch that killed my family years ago." He added before shaking his head at her once.

"Not that you care, ma'am." He added in the same biting tone. "Besides, I'm only here to help you and that's it. After you're done, I'm heading off elsewhere. Besides, last I heard, he was last seen near Obel Lake." He added as he gestured in the general direction of where it was.

Yes! She clasped her hands together and put in the code for the elevator. The doors closed them in and the elevator moved down. The doors opened the the second floor where a few classes were taking place. There were students all over the hallways, chattering and signing up to exit the garden. Ishu grabbed the cuff of his outfit and led him through the crowd and to the doors. A teacher saw her and smiled, waving her through with Alphonse, "Don't forget to get back on time!"

Once they were outside the garden, they were met with an open elevator and a two man crew manning it. The platform could hold up to fifty people at a time. Ishu led Alphonse to it and let go of him once they got on. The crewman in the front closed the gate and started the machine, bringing the platform down to the town.

"Really?" She wanted to beat the shit out of this kid. "Get over it." She shook her head at him, "You can't just wallow in all of your problems forever. Someone took your life away- so what? Get it back. I obviously didn't do anything to you since I'm not at Obel Lake so don't put your crap on me. Focus on your job." She turned away from him and continued walking, "Hurry up." If this kid wanted to be sour, she would let him but not without her two cents.
 
"Awesome." Alphonse answered with a smile on his face before he saw her operate the elevator once more and then descended down to the second floor this time, seeing the students that were out and about in the hallway. But before he had time to speak, he already felt Ishu make a grab for the cuff of his outfit and pulled him with her. "WHOA!" He exclaimed. "Hey, slow down!"

At that point, Heishiro's mood hardly changed. As a matter of fact, he only got angrier with her and as a result, Heishiro simply walked ahead of her and stopped right in front of her with a great deal of malice on his face. "You asked me what you wanted to know, ma'am." He began in the same angered tone in his voice. "So in essence, that's on you." He added.

"And for your information, I've been getting my life back ever since. But really. That was on you. But yeah, you're right. We got a job to do, but after this is over, I pretend you don't even exist." Heishiro continued on before turning around and then took the lead this time, but not before looking back at her once more and glared at her. If she had the nerve to set him off one more time, then he wouldn't hesitate to crack her in the mouth, regardless if she was his superior or not.
 
Sorry. She gave him an apologetic smile after looking up at him. The elevator platform stopped on the town and everyone was let off. So, what do you want to do first? There were mostly little shops and some tour guides to take people around. It's mostly just a fishing town but you can go on a tour and they will tell you about the history of the town.

Eve chuckled when he stormed off with a tantrum. She rolled her shoulders back and walked after him without another comment. Not saying anything would keep him just as angry as making another comment. Either way, she felt like the winner.
 
"It's alright." Alphonse answered with a smile on his face as they arrived a little while later on the ground floor, exiting out to the town a little while later. "Hm. Well, I really don't have any specific place in particular to go to, so what say we just have a walk around the town anyway? You never know what you might find here." He added with a smile.

At that point, Heishiro only remained silent as he continued to walk ahead of her despite his anger was still bubbling inside of him. As a matter of fact, he only seemed to despise her even more. But, at the end of the day once this job was over, he would go back to his previous mission and never speak to her or to whomever it is she was associated with ever again.
 
Alright, that sounds great. She reached over and held onto the cuff of his outfit so she wouldn't find herself trailing off away from him. Of course, the girl couldn't help but start to drift towards the shopping area. Everything was outrageously overpriced, but she still liked to look.


Aimee had run all the way through the garden, going from her room to the elevator and then to the line to get out to Fisherman's Horizon. She had missed her opportunity to go sight-seeing the last time they had stopped for fuel and she was certain she would get to go out there this time!

The two walked for a good hour and a half, walking between the mountains and venturing through more flat land. She made sure they stayed closer to the way but not close enough to step onto the beach. Shortly after passing the between the mountains, Timber came into view. Eve slowed down and kept their walking towards a thinned bunch of trees, "Heishiro, c'mere."
 
"Awesome. We can start at the general store and work our way upward." Alphonse answered with a smile on his face as he began to walk with her now at a more steady pace even as he felt her wanting to drift off to somewhere with him in tow. Granted, everything here was astronomically overpriced here, but what was the harm in just looking at stuff? Hopefully not much, he would figure.

It would be about an hour and a half before Heishiro would notice the terrain would begin to change, changing from the desert wasteland to a more friendlier terrain now, passing between the mountain range before spotting Timber not too far off from them. Just as he was about to head towards it however, he was stopped when Eve spoke to him, causing him to stop in place for a moment then turn towards her with an eyebrow arched. With the same annoyed look on his face, he simply walked over to her without another word towards a thinly bunched area of trees nearby.
 
She came to a slow stop when they came up to a store with a lot of cute little toys made after monsters like the Tonberry and the fabled PuPu Alien. There were even a few plushies of Guardian Forces and Chocobos. Ishu made a bee line for the store but stopped infront of the door and looked up at Alphonse, Um... you can wait here, if you want. The thought had struck her that he just might not want to go into a store filled with cutsie creatures.

"Alright, now we need to go over the clothes on the list I gave to you." On their way to Timber she had thought about the disguises they would need and decided to add to his shopping list. "Give me the paper and I will write everything down." After he handed over the paper, she augmented the list.

- 1 Wavy Blond Wig (long)
- 1 Straight Brunette Wig (long)
- 1 Strapless Red Dress in Size (x)
- 1 Low V-Cut Black Dress in Size (x)
- 1 Fur Shawl
- 1 Pair of Black Stilettos in Size (x)
- 1 Pair of Black Platform Pumps in Size (x)
- 1 Pair of Sunglasses
- 1 Pair of Sunglasses

"Now, when you buy the wigs do NOT buy them at the same store. Try to even everything out, got it?" She went through her pockets and found a pouch filled with money. She handed it to him, "Here. Take your time getting everything and don't look suspicious. Come back here when you're done."

"Hey, I saw couple of young'uns coming into a store like this." Alphonse answered with a shrug of his shoulders and a smile on his face. "So hey, if it'll make you feel better, I'm come on in with ya." He added with a smile on his face before walking towards the store with his hands down into his pockets and chuckled a bit before walking into the store with her a short while later. Who knows, maybe there was something she wanted to buy in there and didn't even know it.

At first, Heishiro was a little apprehensive to listen to her now, especially with how much Eve had aggravated him previously. After looking over the list, he simply looked at it with a brow raised before begrudgingly taking the pouch that was handed to him and simply went towards Timber without another word spoken to her except for what he said to her. "I'll be back in about 20 minutes." He said as he left her there with a visible frown on his face while attaching the pouch to his right hip.

Ok! She pushed the door open and held it so he could come in with her. Once inside, she walked around the store and looked at all of the little toys. There were keychains, action figures, plushies, pillows, pajamas, make up, ect.

Twenty minutes? Either he knew how to shop or he was going to completely bullshit it. Great. She removed the bag from her back and set it down. She sat down next to it and leaned against a tree. Eve decided to hydrate herself and opened a canteen, pressing it to her lips as she gulped down some of the liquid.

What are you planning on doing?

Eve paused in mid gulp and capped the canteen. She licked her lips dry before responding. We can't just walk into Deling City dressed like this. Winhill doesn't have the selection Timber has either. Timber is a median city- it has a ton of shops in it.

Oh, I see.

Eve put the canteen away, Just don't stress yourself out just yet. Ifrit is still on the fritz so I can't put him in the same room as you.

I understand.

The feminine voice soon faded away and Eve touched her forehead.
 
(Fixed. My bad. o_o; )

Once inside, Alphonse peered around the store with a brow raised, smiling a bit to himself as a bit of a memory came to him of having come into a place that looked something like this once as a kid himself. It was quite a while ago, but knowing there was still something like this around told Alphonse that things were going to be just fine.

After a while, Alphonse began to peruse the aisles with a contemplative look on his face and his hands in his pockets.

Once in town, Heishiro began to time himself mentally, knowing he had a short amount of time to shop around in each store, get what was needed on the list and then get out. Of course, that meant he had to remain as less suspicious as possible. Not for nothing, but he wasn't sure what the populace's thought towards Galbadia was here.

The first store he came into would see Heishiro walk into it slowly before looking around before picking out two dresses, the first one was the red strapless one and the other was a black one that had a low V-cut to it before turning back around and headed back towards the register and began to pay for the dresses. With them acquired without incident, Heishiro walked out of the store after bidding farewell to the person behind the counter before moving on to the next one.
 
(it's ok, lol I changed the time because Ishu can't be a sorceress unless Rinoa is dead or gave up her powers.)

Ishu found a little electronic Moomba toy. She picked it up and pressed a button in the back. The Moomba raised its arms and cried out in their language. Ishu smiled at it and waited for it to turn off before setting it down. After wandering around a bit more, she decided she was done looking and went to find Alphonse. Alphonse? Are you ready? She smiled at him when she found him, Or did you find something?

Eve tapped her foot idly as she waited for the boy. Surely shopping for some female-oriented outfits couldn't be too hard. She did, afterall, give him all of the credentials for each item.

Alphonse happened to have noticed the Moomba toy she had her eye on and walked over to her while she still had it in her hand for a little while before smiling at her when she set the thing down where she got it from. "Before we leave Ishu," He began as he held up a finger. "I just remembered that I got paid yesterday, so that leaves a little bit of spending money in my pocket." He added with a smile on his face.

After a moment, Alphonse would then pick up the same toy she had in her hand just now and held it in his hand for a little while before looking over to Ishu once more. "This what you were wanting?" He asked.

The next store would then see Heishiro walk inside of it next a little while later before heading over to the shoe section of this place, plucking out a set of black pumps and black platform heels as was specified on the list before turning back around and heading over to the register once he had what he was looking for, paying for these next and then moving on once they were bagged.
 
Oh... oh! She blushed and put her hands up, No no, I mean, it is cute. I like Moombas, and Chocobos, and the PuPu Alien- they are all very cute. She caught herself trailing off and blushed a bit, But- you, I, uh. Hm. She rubbed her hands on her face in an attempt to calm herself, I don't want you to spend your money on something so idle. She fidgeted with the hem of her dress as anxiety racked her nerves. Ishu did not know how much he was being paid for guarding her and escorting her everywhere, and even then she did not want him spending his money on her.

Eve went through the traveling bag and found an apple. She took it out and bit into it, chewing the fruit in her mouth as she looked up at the sky. Escaping Galbadia would be no easy feat, but for now it seemed to be going well.
 
"Aw come on, I could see you playing around with this thing right in front of me. And besides, since it's your dad who's paying me to watch you, I'm pretty much entitled to spoil you every once in a while." Alphonse answered with a smile on his face before flipping the Moomba toy in his hand a few times before catching it once more then turned his attention to Ishu. "I'll even pick up those other two for you as well." He added as he he then handed it to her. "Think of it as a gift from me to you."

By now, Heishiro had figured that about ten minutes had now passed. That meant he didn't have a whole lot of time to spare, and on top of this, there was going to be a pretty good chance that he was going to get looked at oddly soon. At this point, Heishiro would need to step it up a bit in order to get everything Eve needed in town. His steps were a little more brisk at this point as he headed into the next store, this time picking out two wig caps and two sets of glasses like the ones she specifically mentioned then turned back around once more the register here and then paid for these next.

With these in hand, Heishiro would then move out of the store at the same pace he had begun to set. Time, he felt, wasn't going to be on his side for very long.

She held the Moomba with care as he handed it to her, Are you... are you sure? Her eyes sparkled with delight as the thought of having the little toys in her room brought a simple but overabundant joy to the girl. I mean, if you put it like that- Her father would like to spoil her, wouldn't he? I supposed it would be rude to refuse. She smiled up at Alphonse and hugged him without another though.

Soon finishing the apple, she tossed the core onto the ground. She swept her tongue over her teeth as she thought about what she had done. She had broken into a military that had been built somewhere around 70 years ago. It was used, primarily, to store the GFs that Galbadia had been given. She wasn't able to get them all, especially because not all of them were stored in the same place, but she did get the one that meant the most to her. Eve looked down at her had and clenched it into a fist. They would pay. Galbadia would pay.
 
"Sure as the wind blows." Alphonse answered with a smile on his face before looking through the aisles once more, spotting a yellow Chocobo and a PuPu Alien as well before picking the both of them and held those in his hands for a moment before walking back over to Ishu once again. "Alright, then." Alphonse said with a smile on his face. "What say we hit the next place and see what we can get for you there, huh?" He added before aiming a wink at her and smiled.

By now, Heishiro stopped at two wig stores across from each other. Just my luck. He thought as he looked from one then the other. All he needed from these two stores were just two wigs, one from each store and then all he needed then was just the finishing touches, this being the fur shawl and the tank top and spandex pants that were mentioned in the list and then boom, he would be all set. However, he knew that he didn't much time in messing around. At the same brisk pace now, Heishiro walked inside of the first wig store he saw and moved through the aisle, looking around from side to side slowly until he found the long and wavy blond wig then picked it up before turning around and head back for the register, paying for it and then heading out for the store next door and once inside, he headed over for the brunette section and looked around for a little longer than he would've liked or cared for and spotted the long haired straight brunette one that he was told to find here.

With that in hand, Heishiro once again headed for the register, paying for it and then heading back out without further incident. By now, he felt that five minutes had elapsed in his mind. Dammit. Come on, I gotta get to the finishing touches. Heishiro thought as he then began to look around for the next store that sold shawls and the other bit of clothes, too.
 
Her smile grew and hugged the items against her chest and face before taking them to be paid for and put into a bag. She insisted on carrying the bag though, especially because he was so intent on paying for them. She wanted to feel like she earned it, at least a little bit. Ishu walked out of the store with him and though about where she wanted to go next. There were so many stores; so many choices. She looked up at Alphonse, You pick one! :)

Eve had taken off her jacket and, reluctantly, began tearing off the emblems, signets and other signs of glory. It was a very nice and very expensive piece of outer wear, but she could no longer align herself with the Galbadian Military, it's ideals or for that matter gallivant about with so many symbols of power on her back. When she finished tearing it apart and adjusted the sleeves to curl up over her elbows, she stuffed the remains into the travel bag and put the jacket back on.
 
Once the two were out of the store, Alphonse began to wonder about what store to hit next. There was honestly a lot of choices to make and a lot of things to do between now and 1800. "Well," Alphonse answered with a smile on his face. "Since it's been a bit since we've probably eaten, then what say we go find a cafe and go grab a bite? Besides, I'm betting it's been a while since you've last eaten." He added with a smile before gesturing with his thumb out where he figured a cafe might be.

Once more, Heishiro would find himself in a more generalized accessories and clothing store now, his face showcasing a slight bit of strain on it now from his patience - coincidentally, his time - running thin. Where was the shawl and those other two things, he began to wonder as he continued to move through the aisles a bit more briskly now, his steps giving off a slightly quicker cadence as he continued to move.

Where is it... Where is it? Heishiro thought before spotting a furred shawl of some sort or another. Ah. There's the shawl. he thought again as he took a hold of the thing and tossed it up over his shoulder for a moment before continuing to move around, eventually spotting the tank top and spandex/latex pants as well. With all of these in hand, Heishiro would then move over to the register once more and then slapped down more than enough cash down to pay for all of it and once he had everything he needed, he then began to head back out of the town at the quickest pace he could manage without trying to draw attention to himself.
 
Her stomach growled quietly as it dominated her response. She smiled up at him, though embarrassed, and nodded. I supposed it has been long enough. She carefully reached out and grabbed a hold of the cuff of his outfit again so they could wander to a place to find food. She hoped they didn't only have fish because, well, she wasn't really fond of fish- or meat in general.

Eve was resting her back and head against the tree she was leaning against earlier. She had nodded off briefly, though she was napping lightly. She grunted as Heishiro approached the scenery and opened her eyes, stretching out her jaw and arms as she woke back up.
 
At the sound of her stomach giving a quiet growl, Alphonse gave a little chuckle before grinning at her widely. "Heh. I guess your stomach's thinking the same thing." He answered before beginning to be led on by Ishu once more as he then began to look around for restaurant of come type or another. But after a little bit of walking, Alphonse spotted the place he thought might have been a cafe here. Smiling at it, Alphonse gave Ishu a little tug in that direction before he spoke.

"I think I may have found the place, kiddo." Alphonse said with a smile.

Upon arrival, Heishiro set the bags down in front of her with a bit of an exhausted look on his face before stepping back from Eve and then turning around with his arms folded before taking a few steps away from her as there was still an aggravated look in his eyes. "There," He said after a moment. "You have what you need. Now if that's all, I'll take my leave and let you do what you need to do." Heishiro said in a miffed tone of voice. Honestly, if this was all he was needed for, then what was the point of him even going into Timber in the first place?
