Masaki stayed quiet as Elie first spoke and then lead him to her favorite spot; his mind reeling from the gentle kiss she had placed on his lips. The smile she had given him didn't hurt too. His mind thought about her words, not accustomed to having some one talk to him in such a pleasent tone. Finally, looking over the tree line, he spoke again. "I can't promise that you won't get attacked again. The man after me now will most certainly strike again. And he might bring some of his clan with him. They could try to capture you to use against me. The only way to ensure that they don't do so, is for me to stay by your side every minute of the day until they do attack."
He paused for a moment, letting his response sink in as they looked down at the lake and house. "Is that what you want? For me to be by your side when you shower, sleep, eat, and go for walks? To never have a moment alone to just be by yourself?" He asked her, his eyes not straying from the view as he spoke.
