A reason to fight.....

She had an idea what he was thinking about when it came to impressing in him other ways besides in the training ring. She could not help but smirk a little bit. Men tended to only think with one part of their body at time, and it was not sitting upon his shoulders.

"I don't really have a need for new weapons, do I? I mean, I suppose if you put me into the arena to fight other slaves, I do need at least something repaired but why waste the money for slave fighting? Or for training?"

"No matter their current role in society, a good warrior deserves good equipment to match, whether they be a slave or free as a bird." Zaryn replied.

"Now, when it comes to the arena........it's an interesting prospect, but a risky one. You've shown me you can hold your own against any man, but.........noone stays the best forever. Not to insult your talents, but someone would eventually come that can best you, besides me, and I'd end up losing you one way or another." he added on.

The fact he could value her life was odd to her. She actually could not accept that he might have some kind of concern for her in him. While she could just leave this moment almost heart warming, she could not let the comfort remain as she opened her mouth to speak, "You say that now but know knows? I might not be as good a lay as you are hoping I will be. Then you won't really care what happens to me."

"Hehe, not EVERY guy thinks with THAT head." Zaryn replied, laughing at her insinuation.

"While I will say that you are highly attractive, I did not spare your life simply so you could be my sex buddy. So, intimate encounters are not what I see use for in you." he explained.

"You are upset that so many men treat women as if they're automatically useless when it comes to physical matters and such, but here you are thinking that all men are driven only by sex. If you wish to change peoples minds and get them to let go of their prejudices towards women, you might want to first try letting go of your own prejudices towards men. You cant change peoples minds in the way you want to, while having the same kind of thoughts yourself." he added.

That was not exactly the reaction she had been expecting from him. She thought she'd only get some rage from him, but this was... unexpected and annoying. He almost treated her like she was some kind of intellectual equal to him since his reply called up on her to think. It was something she was not prepare to do and she did the only thing she could think of in the moment. She said nothing, only walked with her head a little higher the rest of the way back to his home.

Zaryn as well, said nothing as the headed home. Not cause of akwardness or anything. There seem to be an almost unspoken respect between them. So, nothing really needed to be said as they reached his home.

"How are your injuries looking today? Believe you'd be well enough for at least a minor training session with me?" he asked as they went in, carefully setting his swords and bag down against the wall.

"That depends," she said as she placed her own items down against the opposite wall where he had placed his things. Turning, she crossed her arms as she faced him, "I can train with you if you do not wish to perform any other strenuous activities later on in the day. But if you have a need or want for that kind of work out, I would be wise to like my body rest up a while longer in preparation."

Zaryn just laughed and shook his head, not surprised, but still humored by her still thinking that. Though, she wasn't far off, as he did plan to do such things.........eventually.

"Hmmmm, a rather tempting decision. I think I'll elect for neither today, so that when we do either, you are at your prime." he replied. While not a horny perv, a little playful jabbing never hurt.

"If that is how you will like it..." she commented as she returned to the items then, "I should likely put these things somewhere. I don't want to leave items all lying about you house. If there some small corner I may be given to keep my few items in?" She did not call them her belongings for they were not. She had not bought them, he had. If she left this place tomorrow she would leave them behind, but then again, she would not be leaving tomorrow or ever.

"Good question." Zaryn replied. Even though it was his idea to get her new clothes, he hadn't yet thought of anywhere she could put them.

"I'll find somewhere in my room where you can keep your stuff. So for now, just put on something that actually fits and I'll get you a place cleared out." he said as he knelt next to his own bag of items, opening it up as he began to root around, making sure everything was as it should be.

"Very well," she said as she picked up a package and what ever was in it, was in it. She opened the wrapping and found a tunic shirt and a pair of pants. Taking the items in her hands she proceeded into the next room to change in some privacy. A few moments later, she returned to the main hall where her packages still lay. The clothing clearly fit her better then it had before. Even the pants seemed better fitted then the old worn pair she had been wearing before. Her breasts were also very nicely sized now that the wrappings were completely gone and the full size could be seen at last.

Zaryn glanced at her momentarily, soon looking back at what he was doing. While their budding relationship was VERY complicated, to say the least, there was the simple fact that he was highly attracted to her in the physical sense. Really didn't help that she seemed to just get hotter and hotter when she tried on something new. It made it quite hard to resist using his ownership of her to get between her legs, but he resisted for the time being. The time........just wasn't quite right for it. Though, it would probably be well worth the wait.

"Take these to the room past the bedroom. Set them down anymore and I will put them in their places later." he said as he stood up, holding the few new swords he had bought. The room he referenced being the one where he kept his various weapons and such, all of which were on display and well maintained.

Bending to pick the packages up she gave him a light bow of her head in respect and then turned and started to head in the way she was directed.

Upon entering, she could not hide her excitement over his weapons rooms when she entered it. It literally took her breath away. She was a warrior in her heart so seeing all the different weapons of every shape and size, some she knew and some such weapons she had only ever heard of but never had gotten the chance to touch. It was simply amazing to her. She found a place to put her packages down but her eyes still could not be taken away from the walls. Even after dropping the packages, she remained in the room, looking over each piece with wonder.

"Impressed, I take it." said Zaryn, standing at the door way, arms crossed, leaning against the door frame.

"Was the sword the only weapon your father every trained you in?" he asked curiously, coming in and stand beside her, his eyes on his various weapons as opposed to her for a change.

"Mainly," she confessed, "Though for hunting purposes he trained me on the bow and arrow. It's not fitted for close contact battle. I have used some of these things before, but never really trained in them till it was like an extension of my arm like a sword often feels to me. How many do you know how to use? Which are yours and which are those of your vanquished voes?"

"I know how to use them all, to varying degrees. Like you, I've mostly stuck with a sword and bow and arrow. But other than those two, I am quite well versed in spear use, and combat with a shield. The rest, I do have some skill with, but not to the degree of the previously mentioned weapons." Zaryn explained.

"But some are indeed from vanquished opponents. All of those are." he said, pointing to an entire wall full of weapons.

She turned her attention for the wall and studied it. She ran her fingers over the worn metals, showing how they were used in battle. Some looked more battle weary then others. "Your wall is almost full. Where will you find the space to add my sword and shield to it?"

"No need. You can keep them. I defeated you, but I didn't kill you. All those weapons belong to those I've killed in battle." Zaryn replied.

"You're gonna need something to use in training and for if I ever enter you in the arena again. Easier to just let you keep the weapons you already possess." he explained with a light shrug.

Her eyes wandered the wall again, but she saw it differently now. Each sword, each shield.... was a body buried in a hole somewhere. "You have much blood upon your hands..." she commented as she turned then from the wall and looked back to his own personal collection, noting only then how much more fine his own weapons were compared to those he had left dead behind him.

"And I doubt your hands have been soaking in ivory liquid." Zaryn replied.

"Murderer, fighter, warrior, gladiator, it doesn't matter. Call me what you like. I've done the things I've done, and I don't plan to linger on the past anytime soon." he said.

And indeed, he kept his personal weapons that he used in absolute pristine condition, while the ones from fallen opponents were left as they were when he originally got them, his way of showing respect to their previous owners.

"The answer of a true warrior indeed," she said and at last turned her attention away from the weapons upon the wall and she started to leave the room, heading back into the hallway again. "I would expect no less from you as well. So.... what are we to do with ourselves now... master?"

That was a good question. Since she was still quite tender from her injuries, he had already stated that there'd be no training or sexual contact today. So, what could they do?

"Well, since you're still recovering, as I said earlier this morning, there'll be no full training session or intimate exploration of your body today. So, I'm thinking perhaps a hunting trip. It'll keep our skills sharp and not aggrivate any of our injuries." he suggested.

"A hunting trip?" she asked. "Just like that? No preparation or planning? Just pick up and go?" She smiled slightly after a moment and shrugged her shoulders, "Sounds like something I would do. You wouldn't happen to have a bow and arrow I could use for this outing, do you? I could always use my bare hands but that would mess my new clothing far to quickly."

"Sure, why not? It's funner on the spur of the moment. And yes, I do have a bow and arrows. I wish to see just how good of a hunter you are. So, I'll let you do the bulk of the hunting, and I'll take care of cleaning and preparing whatever you happen to kill." Zaryn replied, looking over his various weapons before grabbing one of many bows. He picked this one specifically as he figured it would work best for her. Small, light, but powerful. Besides, most of the others were the large type, that required impressive upperbody strength to pull back sufficiently and were meant more for combat than hunting.

She took the bow in her hand and tested it's weight a little before holding it up and drawing back the string in another test. "Hmm.... it will do I suppose. A little light but then it is just for a hunt." It was funny how she thought much the same about things as he did. Taking the quiver, she threw it onto her back. "Where will be hunt? There won't be to many animals to close to the city. Might be all day to find something and bring it back."
