In the kitchens, Keelia set to work. She started a fire and filled the large Calderon to heat the water for his bath. While that was set to motion, she took a smaller bit of water and heated it over the stove, crushing some herbs and mixing it into the liquid. While that seeped into the water, she made another basket ready with clean bandages and salves he had shown her. Once that was done, she let the water heat over the fire while picking up the basket in one hand and the cup in the other hand. As she was walking back towards where she had left him, she sighed. She was thankful for all this work to do at the moment since it kept her mind off of the things that had happened to her earlier, but on the other hand, she was eventually going to get worn thin doing everything in the house by herself. How he had gone without servants before her was beyond her. Just the task of heating bath water and carrying it to the tub was usually a two person job.
Returning to his side, she handed him the cup to drink from while she set down the basket, knelt at his side and let him go about drinking at first before she turned her attention to stripping and dressing his wounds. In the mean time, she got herself prepared for the task ahead of her. Laying out everything to fix him up.
