Natalie trotted to catch up. Once she was beside him, she slowed her pace to match his. She nodded, her eyes taking in the new surroundings. She smiled slightly, then looked up at him. "I'm really glad I'm with you. I had no idea if you were even eligible for taking me in. But apparently the child protection agents liked you, so." She smiled, wrapping an arm around his arm.
 
Ross smiled widely at her words, the agents could not have prevented him really as the last little clause in her parents will had been quite adamant that she go live with him. Feeling her arm link with his he laughed softly. "I'm glad too. Remember that small tree house we built together."
 
Natalie smiled, looking up at him. She leaned against his shoulder and nodded. "Yeah. More like you built it, and I handed you nails." She smiled. "What about it?"
 
Ross wondered where the clingy type nature had come from but figured it was just her way of showing how much she appreciated having family around her. "It's still there but birds are using as their nest."He said softly as they neared the park.
 
Natalie laughed quietly, smiling. "I'll bet that thing has rotted through," she said. She looked up at him after a moment. She could see more people around now that they got closer to the park. "This is nice," she said, taking in the park.
 
Ross smiled and laughed softly at her words, over the years indeed it had became rotted in some spots but he had replaced those pieces of wood with fresher ones. Children of his own had never been on the cards but looking after her came naturally to him. "Always is nice here, the pond towards the larger trees is great to relax near."
 
Natalie nodded. "It's pretty," she said. She looked over at the pond. It'd be a pretty place to draw. She looked up at him. "How often do you come here?" she asked.
 
Ross smiled and listened intently to her words. "Once or twice a week I try to make it here."He said before walking off towards the nearby path, little did he know that just off to his right in the bushes a couple were having sex, quite loud sex too.
