She shot some fire at him "You forget I'm also human." Quagsire dove in and she dressed under water and then climbed out soaking wet, the dress clinging to her body showing her curves more "I may be fused with my pokemon now but I still have human in me."
 
She glared at him "You men are all perverts." with that she bolted into the woods and hid from him as she dried off. She kept hidden but within ear shot to see if he spoke to any of the pokemon. The vulpix that had talked to her looked at Nathan sad.
 
Bending down, he began to pet the vulpix. "Ah I'm sorry good buddy...I guess she's still a bit shaken up about being in a new environment...she probably can't handle some...social jokes is all...Forgive me, all of you."
 
The pokemon all forgave him but the vulpix looked at him. The vulpix's eyes said 'bring her back, she doesnt have anyone to love anymore' the Shinx stood looking in the direction his friend went wanting to find her but stayed looking at Nathan sad.
 
Nathan sighed and nodded as he petted the vulpix. "Mighty, watch over all of them alright?" He said before turning to hop over the fence and run after Neta-Rain. "Neta-Rain? Where are you? Rain!?"
 
Turning around, Nathan smiled as he stayed where he was. "Cause...its your name Rain. You're a person...not a pokemon. At least in my eyes you are."
 
She looked at him raising an eyebrow as her tails twitched with a breeze catching her hair "Since when is that, just a short while ago i was a pokemon with human features." she growled softly at him not trusting him.
 
"Look, I was surprised alright? What would you have done if you saw a pokemon with human features? Wouldn't you be surprised and confused on how to take care of him or her?" He said still staying where he was.
 
She sat crouched where she landed and stared at him "I would treat them like i would another person. Not stare at them while they cleaned up trying to sooth wounds!"
 
"So what're you saying...!? You saying that me taking you into a place where people actually care about and for you, give you food and shelter, and companions, and you say I'm just sitting around and staring!?" He shouted at her, growing angry. "Do you know how ungrateful you're sounding!?"
 
"You stood and just stared at me when i was most vulnerable!" she shouted back starting to cry "I woke up to being surrounded by men talking about attacking me, do you have any idea how scary it is to be in that situation and then the only haven you find the one in charge stares at you. Put yourself in my shoes and think about it." when she finished she froze seeing the vulpix brush against her.
 
Nathan's face did not change but his tone of voice did. "See...this vulpix enough is proof enough of people who care for you...I was surprised okay? I've been a rancher for two years and I've been around pokemon all my life...but never in my life have I seen or heard of a...a pokemorph." He said looking away from her. "If you're truly set on leaving...at least say your good byes to the pokemon who took you to heart and will be hurt to go...the vulpix cares for you, its the only one of its kind around these parts...if you leave...I ask you take it with you...it will be happier with you."
 
She looked at him shocked at his words then down at the vulpix and smiled as she and the pokemon whispered. After a while she sighed and stood "I'll go back for a bit but no more staring ok."
 
"I promise...though....I couldn't help but stare, you were, after all, naked in a fountain and with a tight wet shirt on." He said jokingly as he fist-tapped her shoulder lightly before walking back to the ranch.
 
Rain sat and sang to the pokemon "La la la la. Oh the waves roll low, and the waves roll high. And so it goes. Under a bright blue, endless sky...." the vulpix passed out in her lap "..waves try to measure the days that we treasure. Wave hello and wave goodbye." she smiled softly "I'll stay guys."
 
In the med-tent, Nathan came out at around the last bit of the song and smiled as he leaned back against the fence, listening until he heard she was going to stay. "Well then...thats great. Haha."
 
She glared at him "Shh!" she turned back to the pokemon around her and the vulpix in her lap saying softly "I've never felt so needed before. I didn't want to leave them after they accepted me."
 
"You're like a mother to them." He said gently to her as he looked to the pokemon and the vulpix around her. "It looks nice to see them all crowd around their 'mother'."
 
Rain smiled softly "I do feel like a mom to them, especially vulpix." As she sat there she asked "Nathan, would it be possibly for us to start over? For the pokemon."
 
Nathan shrugged. "And here I thought we were already friends again." He said smiling. "Well, I guess we'll need to find someplace for you to stay tonight. Where do you want to sleep? I can probably give you my bed, I don't mind the couch. Its where I usually slept up until about a week ago when I bought the bed haha."
