Cayden13:

Having wandered for over three hundred years he found himself moving from one country to another, finally he found himself renting a flat on Silk Street in Manchester. Sitting in the sparsely furnished apartment he looked out the window remembering sadly of how his parents had been murdered when he was six years old, shaking his head he wondered where the time had gone since that day.

Closing his eyes he thought back to when he was growing up on the streets after that fateful day, it had been hard but having been born in Japan during the ruling of the Tokugawa Shogunate he knew how to hold his own in fights. Also having been bore during that time he was proficient with his two custom made katana, there had only been one other man within the Hara family to master and proficiently wield the dual katana. That had been his great great grandfather Emio Hara, which is why Nanoki decided that he would honor the fallen warrior by learning and perfecting the wielding of the twin blades.

Once he grew older he had tracked down the Angels that murdered his parents, and those that had commanded them. Once he had finished his business he wandered from place to place, as he was in Japan during the second World War he had been drafted into the Japanese Military but he was lucky enough to not have fought on Iwo Jima, but he had fought in other skirmishes even though it would have been even harder to kill him than normal. After the war had ended he traveled to see the United States, Russia, German France, and Italy running from the still raging war between the Angels and Demons.

Having spent a few months in each country seeing the sights he was not sure what he would do with his life now, but he had a good many years to find out still, as long as the Angels did not catch up with him. There were quite a few things he could do in these modern times, so he would have to find work to continue making payments on everything he had now but once he started Nanoki was sure that he would find something.

The next day he started to make his way around Manchester, and Lancashire to see about employment. He had learned that the best way of keeping himself hidden was to do that which those around him did, which meant working, going out partying once in a while, and dating every so often. Standing Six foot four inches his 180 pound frame was trained and built to take punishment as well as deal out severe damage. His three foot long jet black hair was normally kept in a braid so it did not go anywhere, while his Crystal Blue eyes managed to shift to Cobalt depending on his mood. The Wolf Demon had been wandering among people for as long as he could remember so he learned to hide his ears which sat atop his head, keeping his mouth closed unless necessary he hid his fangs.

Heaven was not what it seemed to the mortals that so believed in it. Aurora was once a foolish mortal thinking the life after death would be something wonderful, it was if you weren't an angel. At one time she mortal, but was called to heaven at a young age. When she arrived it was explained to her that she was powerful and wise was need to do God's work and for the first couple of thousand years she happily accepted doing all that was need.

She was a very special Angel one of the favorites. there was a few other that held such high standing, Michael, and Gabriel just to name few. But all of them were male never had there been a female in such high standing. But it quickly became known why, men were ass holes. at least that was what she believed. they would create unnecessary conflicts in the mortal world so the can swoop in and save the day all to show off to their 'father'.

Aurora couldn't stand it anymore. She had to get a way, had to take a break from her childish brothers. She escaped down to the mortal world, not know what she would find or how she would live. She knew there was dangers. A demon could find her, she would have to fight perhaps even kill him. but she went to earth any way.

Nanoki had lost track of exactly how long he had been wandering from place to place, and how long he had been alive for that matter however he looked eternally Twenty-One unless he decided other wise. It was all part of his heratige as a Demon much less having spent as long as he had around the humans that were caught in the middle of a power struggle they had no idea was going on. As far as he was concearned Angels could all die in a mass collective, especially since they seemed to be hunting him from one place to another through out the years.

It was November in England and the snow was falling hard at night, while it lined the streets in thick sheets of blinding white. Quietly as he walked down the street in a long sleeved crimson tee shirt, navy blue jeans, and a black trench coat he wondered as he brushed the hair out of his eyes if this was what "Heaven" looked like. He didn't really care what it looked like or how it seemed, or even if there was such a place it wasn't any of his concearn. Nanoki took his eyes off the sidewalk in front of him to switch his IPod from Hixxy's "Night Life" to Basshunter's "Boten Anna" and when he looked back up he saw a man standing in the middle of a crowd but the people were walking through him.

His eyebrow arched for a moment before it set in and the Demon sighed, murmuring to himself "Damn bastards can't leave me alone even for six months." Deciding to see if the Angel recognized him Nanoki kept walking as if nothing was wrong, except for the fact that he had his left hand on the hilt of his katana just in case he made the wrong assumption. As he passed the being watched and said something that there was no way he could understand, save for the fact that he had been dealing with these people for too long now. Quickly without waiting to see if anyone was watching he threw himself into an alley to get away from the psychotic Angel. Throwing his shoulder down into the ground he rolled over to land on his feet and drew his swords waiting for the inevitable attack, the one that would be the descision on which of the two lived or died that day.

Aurora walked down the streets of London her head full of confusion. Why did her brothers have to act they way they did it drove her crazy all she wanted was to help people but it seemed to far from their minds. then she wonder what her 'father' would say when he found out she had left. She hoped he wouldn't be angry with her she just could no longer stay there.

As she walked Aurora felt a tingle on the back of her neck she sensed something but wasn't sure what. She looked around and there he was, Michael, he was starring right at her. She let her self fade from the coward so now only a supernatural being could see her. and she moved over to him, but far enough away to stay out of arms reach. She was now standing in front of the alley way. "what are you doing here brother" she demanded with all authority. Was he here for her

As if his day couldn't get any worse as he awaited the angel to make his move, Nanoki saw another one of the cursed beings move over to the first. "Damn it..." he mumbled to himself before slipping farther back into the alley to try and avoid letting the other know he was there until it was too late for them both. Quietly he brought his left hand up from the hilt of his katana building the energy, after a few moments he loosed a ball of fire at both of them.

He would not die because neither of them showed him any interest, he had not lived all these years waiting for them to make the first strike. If he had he would probably have been dead too many time over through the years. All of the conversation he could make out was that a female's voice said Michael... 'OH SHIT..M..M...Michael???' he thought to himself, know that if he didn't get out quickly he may well be toast IF Michael could get his hands on Nanoki.

"Come home Aurora" Michael said to her as he moved closer. "i dont want to have to use force

"No, i will not be going back till I am damn good an ready. And it funny to think you can make me go with you Michael" Aurora was very claim about it, but even the great angel himself took a step back when she stated she wasn't going.

"Father doesn't know yet Aurora come home before he does" Michael tried something different then force. He knew she would do anything for their 'father'

"I will go when he calls" And with a wave of her hand she sent Michael through a wrap like thing back to heaven. She stood there a moment and suddenly she felt the fire ball hit her back and she spun on her heels pain clear in her eyes as she looked at the demon that did that to her. "why did you do that, i have done nothing to you" she was hurt but she was not going to attack this demon, she was not like the other angels he had come across.

Having let off the attack that would either save his life or condemn him, there was little he could do now except prepare for what ever was to happen next. He could really care less about what ever had brought both of them here at this point in time, but from the looks of it he wasn't the problem which was a good thing. There was no need for him to worry about what happened to them, nor for him to really pay any attention to them.

That was until this woman sent Michael back to where ever the hell he had come from before hand, which meant that despite how experianced he was with fighting their kind he would still die. 'So that just means I have to take her with me when I go..' he had told himself, yet his thoughts were ground to a halt when she truned but didn't try to strike at him. "What's your game angel?" Nanoki asked spitting out the last word as if it were something not worthy in his mouth.

"Well get on with it wench, have you come to meet your death or just come to kill me for fun?" Being arrogant was his cover for fear, but there were very few things that scared him after so long. This unknown force of a woman scared him half to death with the power she wielded.

Aurora wrinkled her forehead at the demon before her. She had never had much dealings with demons but he was proving to her that his kind was just as arrogant and hot tempered as her brothers has said. She thought perhaps that was why demons and angel's fought so much. She didn't know though for sure.

"I'm not here to hurt you or anyone. But clearly you don't have any regard for that, you just assume I am here to take your pathetic little life and you know what they say when you assume." She had vibrant purple eyes that seemed to be lock on his. "I will not hurt you, but I will not stand to be attack attacked again so think about that if we are to cross paths again" Aurora turned to leave but stopped and stretched out her wings they were much larger than a normal angels, this was a status symbol in heaven. She shook out some of her burnt feathers and new one appeared before his eyes.

The look on her face had him laughing to himself, she really was one strange angel. Which had him currious to see just what she happened to be playing at, and if he should be worried about having to watchi his back now. All of these things were confusing and completely unanswerable which he knew was a bad thing, yet he would have to regain his temper if he was to find out what exactly it was that she wanted...

Staring into her eyes his cobalt battle ready color faded back to his typical crystal blue, the reaffermation of her not being there to hurt people had him wondering if she happened to truely be sincere about it. Shrugging his shoulders he sheathed his blade stretching out his muscles trying to relax around this strange being that called herself an angel. "For your information that attack was meant for the both of you, not just you. I've had too many problems with your kind that it's better to attack first. Not that my life or the life of any other matters to you high and mighty asses that is." He replied pushing his way past her back to where he had been headed before.

Aurora shook her head. He was a stubborn fool. She watched him walked away and followed him just a moment. "I can not change what others did to you. Just like i can not change what your kind did to me, but i am not some murdering angel. But i guess you live up to everything i know and i have been told about Demons, murderess beings that give a damn about anything but themselves. " she was not in the mood to play his little childish games.

"It's true that neither of us can change the reputations our races have gotten from one another, but if you think that I don't care about anything you're sorely mistaken. Most Demons may be murderers but not all of them are, and if you really think that the have fun trying to make it anywhere around here. Most people look normal enough but a good number of them are demons hiding from the onslaught your "Brothers" always put them through. If you really think all demons are the same why not tag along behind me to where I'm headed to and see for yourself?" He retorted not really wanting to be around this foul smelling angel, but if it was to prove that things could change he would do what ever it took.

Aurora looked at him long and hard before nodded her head in agreement. "alright but if this a trick, I will not be able to just sit by this time and let you attack me" she explained as she followed him. "and for the record if i wanted to slaughter your kind i would have done so, i am down hear against my brothers and father trying to learn more about what is happening."

Nanoki chuckled to himself hearing her words, because as far as he knew or cared all angels were the same and since she was an angel it was highly likely that she had killed more than enough of his kind to warrant her death. How ever as much as he may have wanted to kill her she gave him no reason to just yet, but he knew that there would probably be a time that he would have to fight her and either way one or both of them would be dead at the end. Having been in Manchester for several years he knew how to keep a low profile, and as such he had been helping those less fortunate than himself. He may not have had a lot of money yet he volunteered his time at several place to help out, and he donated money when possible.

Through out the afternoon he took her to the different places that he spent his time helping, through out the day he took a few minutes explaining several things about what he was doing. As the day wore on and he was heading back to his home, as the temperature dropped he suddenly asked "Do you have a place to stay? I ask because it's going to be colder than any of the days I've been here so far. I may not like you but that wont stop me from making sure that you don't die even if I think your kind may deserve it." he said as he stopped and turned to look at her before looking out over the park that he stopped by.

Aurora followed him through out the streets of Manchester watching every move he made, wondering if this was a trap. But as she watched she noticed he was helping other and there was no plan to kill her. She was shocked she never had seen kindness from his kind but that could be because they were always locked in battle. But now she had a new view on demons. She just hoped he could see her in the same new light.

Aurora continued to follow him as the day drew a close, wonder where they would go now or who they would help. But when he asked her if she had a place to stay she was taken back for a moment. Aurora looked back to him. "no i don't have a place to stay, If it is possible for you to show me a place to stay i would be most grateful"

It was simple for him to keep a low profile while doing what he could for the less fortunate, and working to appear as normal as everyone around him. After dealing with those that had dispatched his parents all those years ago, and all the wandering he began to see things in a different light. Over the years all the dispaced families due to war and all the other goings on he learned that there were times he could do some good, and when he came to Manchester he started giving his time to worth while causes. If he could possibly show one of his hated enemies something she never knew he wondered if it could change things.

When she said she had no place to go he thought about a few places but decided to show her some hospitality, even if it meant that if at some time in the night something may happen to him. "I know a place, it's not the greatest but it's better than nothing and you can stay as long as you feel necessary.." He knew that last part may get him into trouble, but if she killed him it would solve a lot of his problems. However for some reason this woman seemed different than others he had come across.

Aurora had a soft smile on her lips as she tucked her long hair behind her ear. "that would be most wonderful" She was kind and gentle not like how she was when Michael had spotted her. She was different from them, more like mortals that angels to be soft and sweet and here to help. "I hope it not to much trouble for you" she a real sincerity in her voice as if would trouble her to trouble him.

This was all confusing to him, since for as long as he had been alive and fighting angels never had he come across someone like her. They all decided that his death was the first thing to come forth from their meeting, even though it usuall came out that he was more skilled and even more ruthless than most of them could possibly dream of. With his knowledge and his magic there was little that could stop him, yet it seemed that if she wished she could easily dispatch him without a second thought. So that would mean Nanoki would have to keep his guard up even if she was playing sweet and supposedly innocent, he had been through all of this so many times before that he wondered if he should just return to Japan and live the life of a hermit.

Then again there really was no telling as to how any of the decisions he had made would turn out until everything was settled, however she seemed to be completely different from the others. If it actually did come down to a fight he would be hard pressed to win, unless he really broke out all he had which would probably kill him.

Aurora's eyes focused on the man before, it still troubled her mind to think her brother spent so much time fighting his kind. She didn't understand. He had done nothing wrong that she can see, and his soul did not seem dark and black that she had been told. She wanted to know more about him. "Nanoki, I have a favor to ask, and of course you can say no if you like you, but i was hoping i could spend more time with you, know more about you, maybe in turn you find out more about me. And perhaps in the end we can put an end to this silly fighting."

Nanoki only know that which he had been witness to, and that which he had been told over the years. Unfortunately as much as he wanted to he could not bring himself to believe most of that which he had been told, so there was really little more than what he knew of the war by experiencing it himself. Yet he managed to a point to stay out of the fighting lately, at least that was until Michael showed up in his city but he doubted that was due to anything he had done. Despite his years of remaining impartial to his surroundings, the things that this woman had just said shocked him to say the least.

His eyebrow piqued showing that she had caught him off guard, and his jaw opened slightly but his mind instantly jumped to wondering if there was something else going on here. To say that he did not trust this angel was making an understatement, however this idea brought a realization that maybe he did not know her kind as well as he thought. "What exactly did you have in mind?" he asked slightly curious, but he was still concerned that there may be an ulterior motive.

Aurora paused a moment then drew in a deep breath. "i know you don't trust me, and i guess with everything you been through what reason do you to trust someone like me, but i truly mean what i say i do want to know you, and your kind, i do not agree with the silly fighting that has been going on." she bit her lip. "so i am hoping we could spend some time together, maybe see each other for who we are not what we are."

Watching this woman Nanoki was even more confused, it seemed that she was sincere about what she was saying yet he was still a bit hesitant. "What exactly did you have in mind? Also out of curiosity how do you know anything about me, and what do you know?" He asked watching her silently for a few moments. Shrugging he turned and motioned for her to follow him, and he slowly lead her to the small flat that he had been renting. "Again what exactly did you have in mind for us spending together?"

Aurora walked beside him as he lead her to his flat. She was silent for a moment as she thought the best way to answer him. "well as for the how to get to know each other, i guess the best way would be how anyone else does it, we talk, we spend time together, seeing how the each behaves and such." She paused and looked at him a moment "does that sound ok?" she tucked some hair behind her ears as they walked. She was truly a beautiful creature but she did not seem to know that about herself.

As they walked Nanoki was still a bit skeptical about what she was saying, since in his experience angels only wanted the destruction of demons. Yet none of them including himself seemed to know why, however he knew that it was either them or him but now he was letting one of them into his home. He wondered to himself in her silence if he had grown weak or made a mistake, when she spoke however it seemed that she truly wanted to get to know him for some reason. With a slight shrug he opened the door motioning her inside saying "That's an interesting concept. Well make yourself at home I guess, there's not a lot of room but it works."

Nanoki had to admit to himself that she was cute, and that she was unlike any other Angel he had come across before. That should have made him more weary of her, but it seemed to add to his confusion rather than answer any questions in his mind. "I'm going to get the mail and I'll be back in a few minutes." he said finally having an idea that would give him a chance to take a step back and evaluate all that had gone on today.

(sorry for the delay life has been crazy)

Aurora was in aw when he opened the door, She had never been inside a home like this. It amazed her from the TV to the couch, it all looked comfy and inviting. She looked at him "You home is very wonderful, it more than works, it must be nice to have a place that is all your own" she said with a smile on her face before she turned and looked around again. She didn't even noticed when he left to get the mail. She was like a child to this world not know much about the things found inside, but she hoped in time he would teach her.

When she commented on the fact that it must be nice to have his own place he smiled to himself briefly instantly responding with "Just wait until you see the house that was left to me by my family..." Nanoki quickly stopped himself from proceeding with what he had been about to say, because he was still unsure about her and was wondering if he should reveal anything that may be used against him when she decided to return to where she came from.

Quickly and quietly he left, to get away from her even if just for a few moments. He spent a few extra moments quietly catching up with his neighbors, since they all seemed like nice people and since some of them helped him when he first moved into the flat. In the time he had lived here he had invited several of them over for sports games and what not that they had enjoyed, trying to be hospitable. Sheila his neighbor that lived a few doors down asked "Are you going to the game tomorrow?"

With all that had gone on in the last few days he had completely forgot that he had gotten tickets to the United game against Arsenal, however with the new turn of events and with an angel in his home he wondered if he should go or not. Immediately he replied "Unfortunately I have a friend visiting from out of town for a while, so I won't make the game. If you want to come over later I'll give you the tickets so you and Tony can go, but I'll talk to you later." He took the mail and returned dropping the mail on the coffee table, before looking for the tickets.

Aurora didn't notice him coming back into the house she was still looking at the wonders of his home. She had already looked at the kitchen and she had a ton of question about how to use that stuff. But she knew she had to wait till he got back inside. So she moved on to the living room.

She liked that space it was large and had soft places to sit. But there was a weird box that she never had seen before. She was afraid to touch it. And knew she would have to ask about that as well. The she say a little box with numbers and words on it sitting on the coffee table. She picked it up and to shock she hit something and loud music came on. She dropped the remote and covered her ears she was shocked to hear such sound come from some where in the room.
