"Another day of life getting in the way of your dreams." James said out loud as he watched the busy streets from the roof top he stood on. Wearing his usual disguise, he wondered what the day would hold for him. 'Nothing good.' He thought as he pondered the question that had been rolling around his in mind for the past few weeks: has he lost his grip on reality. Most information about mutants is hard to come by for several reasons, and even what information you did get might be wrong. Studies into mutant powers and such was a gray area at best.
'Still, if one looked hard enough, you can find what you seek.' His mind told him. And what he had found had unnerved him. There where others that had abilities similar to his, and in most of those cases the person went crazy in one form or another. 'So now I've got to question my own sanity, along with continuing on with my mission. If I'm crazy, then I need help. If I'm not crazy, then the world is in deep shit. Either way, things are going to get ugly before they get better.' He let out a sigh before casually making his way towards the edge of the building and the ladder that had help him climb up.
"So far today, I've helped out my dad's old cop buddies on a murder case, made arrangements to fill in for that rocker that got strip throat right before his big gig, and toyed with a group of gang members by posing as Captain America. Let's take a quick break and watch everything for a bit." He said as the illusion covering his body shifted, leaving him to look like an average 25 year old white male that just screamed tourist.
