In the world of Terraria, humans live amongst the supernaturals but they hide out of fear. Being discovered as a human resulted in living the life of slavery, especially in the kingdom of Blythe. This kingdom is ruled over by a terrible man that is only known to those around him as Apocalypse. He is a man who takes no prisoners, and cares not about those around him. Either you are loyal to him or you are killed. Humans that live within Blythe are either there as slaves to the many supernaturals that live there, or they are hiding amidst the shadows hoping that they didn't get caught. Being a human in Blythe, in general, was a very dangerous thing and would most likely lead to your death. Especially if you disobeyed Apocalypse himself; even if you had a master... the Lord's word was always law above all else. If he told you to do something even with your master standing right there, your best chances at survival were to just go and do what he said.

A young woman with long platinum blonde hair sat staring out the window of the castle, just humming softly as she ran her fingers through her hair. Piercing green eyes were just locked on what was happening outside – watching the guards that were outside train with another. The young woman in question just so happened to be a human but she was the one human that Apocalypse allowed freedom, for the most anyways. She wasn't allowed to leave the palace without a guard, and she wasn't allowed to leave the city whatsoever. She did have quite the relationship with a number of the civilians within the city – despite the fact that she was a human. After a bit she was standing up from the chair that she was sitting in so that she could leave the bedroom, grabbing onto the veil that was handing up by the door. She was grabbing the black veil and just draping it over her head so that she could hide her features before she was leaving the room.

It was perhaps a bit strange to see a human within the kingdom treated so kindly by the madman that was Apocalypse - but she was most definitely a special existence to that of the madman. And that was only because - she was the daughter of a woman that he had once loved and hated so dearly long ago. A woman who he had been madly in love with but she had turned against him when he had descended into his spiral of madness. She hadn't wanted to be apart of that madness which lead to her leaving and just disappearing - making her own life and starting her own family. Apocalypse had eventually founded her and slaughtered her right before the yes of her young daughter, the young daughter that he had soon taken under his wing. A constant reminder of the woman who had turned against him, but a reminder of the woman that he had once loved. And he knew that the girl wasn't fully a human - there was innate magic that was sealed away within her - it was just a matter of it unlocking.

After all she was the daughter of the former queen of Aetherial, the one and only kingdom that had once stood against Blythe. And the only kingdom that could still stand against Blythe, but those within the kingdom had all taken to hiding after the death of their king and queen, and the young princess just disappearing into nothingness. A belief that she had also been killed by that of the madman. Now at twenty-one, the platinum blonde haired woman was still residing within the palace under the wing of Apocalypse. His daughter. Or that is what she had grown up to believe for the longest time. But she had learned that it was a lie, learning from people who had figured out who she was.

But she was playing stupid and acting as though she knew anything - making Apocalypse believe that she was just some pathetic little human that knew nothing. She also didn't even allow him to know that she had in fact unlocked her magical abilities; that she had mastered them fairly quickly. Wordless spellcasting was her speciality - a feat that most magic users couldn't do. They were needing to read from books, they were needing to use a spellbook. But when you were the daughter of the deceased Silent Soreceress - who had once been the most powerful magic user in existence - things were far different.

As this was happening, one of Apocalypse's generals was walking into the throne room having just finished up a mission that he had been assigned. A mission to deal with a few rogue soldiers that had tried to turn against Apocalypse. Idiots. Especially when the madman of a king was a fearsome warrior, terrifyingly so. Put a sword in his hand and he became a killing machine - yet that was truly something that not many people had been able to witness. Yet again most of those people didn't survive for long at all. "My lord. It has been dealt with. It would seem that Aetherial has been spotted as well." Roman was speaking as he looked at the king. Aetherial. The only kingdom that could oppose Blythe. A city that floated in the sky, held aloft by powerful magics that had been weaved together so long ago. The city itself had been around even after the death of the king and queen so long ago, but it hadn't been this close to the main kingdom in quite some time. And they were aware of people escaping to that city so that they could hide away. Even supernaturals were turning against Apocalypse, spiriting humans away to safety. A place that even Apocalypse couldn't touch at the time. And that was even with Emeline on their side - yet as far as they all knew, she hadn't unlocked her powers at all.

Al walked in to the room with the king and his other general and listened to them talk. Al was in charge of the kings research group on top of being a military general. Al then spoke when they stopped "they aren't a threat right now so I wouldn't worry about them" with out a leader they wouldn't act and no one was stupid enough to test the king given how vicious he was. Al looked at them and then nodded his head in Romans direction in acknowledgment.

Apocalypse was just stating, "Oh I am not worried. But it is good information to know. It will be amusing to watch people try and flee there, thinking that they could escape from my grasp." There was a smirk on his lips before he was just looking towards a few of the other generals that were within the room, just listening to some of the other stuff that they had to say. Oh there seemed to be reports about some people that were attempting to rise up against him, openly declaring war against him pretty much. Now that was absolutely stupid of them to do that was for certain. However attention was going towards the guard that was entering the room rather swiftly which had the king holding out a hand to silence those around him, wanting to hear out what the guard had to say. About the only time it was acceptable for them to just walk in like that was when they were there to report that Emeline had left her room. The daughter of the woman he had once loved, the woman that had betrayed him so long ago. A human. And one that had the most freedom within the palace. Able to wander where ever she wished within the palace itself but should she want to go outside the palace she needed a guard, and entering the city he typically sent a few guards. No he wanted to keep her alive... almost as though in a way to spite the woman he had once loved. A "look I have your precious child" type of deal even though the woman was dead.

This had the man nodding his head before he was speaking, "Keep an eye on her."

Al listened to the man report about the woman's whereabouts and that the king wanted them to keep an eye on her. Al didn't speak but he did look at his watch as he had some experiments waiting that he would need to check on soon but he wasn't making it obvious that he needed to leave as one didn't leave such a meeting with out permission from the king.

Apocalypse was just speaking on a few other things and soon enough he was actually dismissing them all for the evening, there being nothing else to speak about at that point in time. After that he was actually turning to sweep away so that he could head off towards his office, to go over a few things that he had. Plans for something upcoming. A mass execution pretty much of the prisoners that were within his dungeon. People that had been dumb enough to try and turn against him.

Al headed back to his lab and looked over his experiments before he headed to the cells to check on the experiments there. he was working on developing a drug that would turn a person in to the perfect slave one who obey the orders of their masters and the king with out question

Roman was heading out so that he could go to the training grounds, and start training the soldiers. All of the supernaturals. There were humans within the training grounds but they were being used as target practice, or they were running about making sure that the soldiers were tended to. As this was happening, Emeline was roaming about the palace, just taking in the view outside through the windows. Nobody would know that she was actually trying to catch sight of Aetherial, they would just think that she was just looking at stuff outside. After all it wasn't often that she actually went outside.

"You know if you give them less of the drug at a time... It'll be less effective right away but more effective in the long run. You are basically sending them into an overdose by giving them the full amount right away." a voice was speaking and if he turned around he would see that Emeline was standing there. Not uncommon for her to stop by his lab, she had a few times. Curious about what was happening - sometimes anyways. Usually when he was working on other science things rather than what he was now. And she felt like he didn't have a problem with her being around, or at least he had never voiced it before.

Emeline was just watching him for a brief moment in time before she was just tilting her head before she questioning what was going to happen to them now that they were absolutely mindless. She was actually poking at one of them who just seemed to be drooling, their mind was just so broken.

Emeline was just stating that that was a bit sad, that they had a lot of potential in them to be useful one day had it not been for that fact. There was a sadness in her eyes, yet it was understandable. The people were all human...they were just like her. And this was the life that humans lived; a life that she could very well live if it wasn't for the fact that Apocalypse cared for her. Quote on quote cared for her.

Emeline was just giving a small shrug before she was just tilting her head a bit curiously before she questioned, "Are you perhaps busy later today? There is a festival in town that I was hoping to go to for a little bit. But I know that Father wouldn't allow me to go unless with people that he truly trusted. If you are busy, that is alright. It was a last minute thought of mine."

Emeline was smiling cheerfully before she was speaking, "Oh! Awesome! I'll go and speak to Father about it." With that she was giving a smile before she was giving a wave and heading off so that she could go and speak to Apocalypse.

Emeline was just humming as she made her way through the palace and towards the throne room. No they didn't need to know her other reasoning for wanting to go to the festival. And that was simply to show some of those that she knew resided with Aetherial that she was still alive. There had been a maid that had once worked in the mansion that claimed she had known her mother. She had been the one who had told Emeline the truth of herself years ago; and had told her that those who were born within Aetherial and came down would recognize her; just from knowing who her mother was. She was a splitting image of her mother. Sadly the maid had died a few months back from old age, so she had lost that one person who had known more about her family. Soon enough she was walking into the throne room and was speaking, "Father. I came to ask permission to attend the festival. General Al has already agreed to accompany me as well." This had the man looking over for a brief moment in time before he was stating that it was fine - just that Al had to pick three other guards to go with them.

Rose hurried up with a drink for the king her head bowed as she said nothing. she had been ordered to bring him a drink and she had hurried to do as ordered. Rose looked out the side of her eye at the princess but she didn't make any move to look at her fully. when one was serving the king it was wise to remain silent and to do as ordered. Rose then focused back on the king making sure he hadn't been giving her and order but she didn't think he had ordered her to do anything.

Apocalypse was just taking the drink before his eyes were traveling towards that of Rose before he was speaking, "Take a servant with you as well. This way they can carry whatever it is you wish you buy." This had Emeline inclining her head although she knew that it was just moreso the man pushing around his power and authority. "Of course, father." she was chiming before she was just questioning if she could take Rose with her. The other female had served her a few times and she also knew that she was the favorite to Apocalypse. The man had to think for a moment before he was speaking, "permitted."

Rose bowed and motioned to the princess that she was hers to command. Rose couldn't talk due to damage to her vocal cords by another slave owner. she had been doing as the king had ordered when he had tried to order her around and when she had said she would after finishing her task for the king he had tried to choke her and had crushed her vocal cords. Rose couldn't talk but she was working on making it so she could

Emeline was just smiling before she was speaking, "Servant come to my room as soon as you are done tending to my father's needs." No she was speaking how she knew Apocalypse would prefer. Not addressing the slave with a name, they didn't deserve names as her father said. But she had been quite firm about not wanting to call them slaves, she didn't like saying that term herself. Apocalypse had been willing to allow her to call them servants without much fight but had more or less forbid her from actually using their names. Which she didn't... when he was around anyways. In private she called people by their names, giving them some respect. After that Emeline was bowing to her father so that she could leave and head back to inform Al then go to her room to prepare. Apocalypse was ordering Rose to go and get him something to eat.

Rose bowed and headed off to do as ordered. Rose scurried in to the kitchen and motioned to the cook that the King wanted food. The cook quickly wiped up food for the king and Rose returned with his food in short order. once she was dismissed from the kings service Rose headed to the princesses room. she then knocked and waited to be told to enter

Emeline had headed off to let Al know that the king had been fine with it but he was needing to choose three guards to bring along with them. After that she was returning to her room and was in the process of getting ready when she heard the knock on the door. "Enter." was all she said.
