Name: Johnny Treislan
Age: 33
Gender Male
Appearance: 6ft, dark blue eyes, short hair with stubble. 68kgs, scarring on his right arm. Solid build yet agile
Occupation: Marine turned Mercenary
Background/skills: A fighter, not afraid to get his hands dirty and doing jobs others tend to avoid - can be brutal against hostiles and doesn't stand for corruption. Prefers close quarters combat and is able to use various firearms, his favourites - A modified Colt 1911 and M41A Pulse Rifle.
Not one to say much, keeping to himself but able to work with others if required.
Backstory: Was a marine for 7 years, but found his skills were found to be useful after defying orders from his commander. Given a choice, he went against firing upon civilians and discharged. Found work not long after, taking on contracts that paid well, but only targets that were a threat. Recently received word of a job that stood out from the rest and took an interest.

Appearance: Slight with muscle tone, raptor tattoo on her left ankle. Tiny scar on her temple and giant scar on her back from left hip to right shoulder blade.
Occupation: Marine Biologist, paleontologist, Martial artist, hacker
Background/skills: Before her ex-fiancé smashed her skull against concrete stairs during a birthday party for her father, Dez was quick as a whip and thorough with her studies. Currently her skills are useful as her mind has a way of tracking DNA builds, systems (hacking) and potential cloning.
Backstory: Dez doesn't talk about her post-life much, nor remembers much accurately due to chronic seizures. As soon as she was accepted to study and learn about cloning dinosaurs, she bought the fastest ticket and was on her way. She can hack almost any system and loves a challenge, she's well versed in martial arts and is a book-worm for studies. She is terrible at cooking, sitting still, speaks her thoughts like a crazy person and can't taste certain flavors due to tongue trauma from manic seizures.
 
Okay, I should have clarified about the setup for coming to the island: the idea I had is that a boat (or boats) went down and the survivors were close enough to the island to survive.

I will say that having a merc wasn't expected. I can tweak the setup a bit to try and incorporate this into it.

Right off the top of my head, the issue I have is that the island has been abandoned for several years, and nobody is meant to have any knowledge of it. Otherwise as a character she looks good.

My characters will come either tonight or tomorrow.

Thank you! And sounds good! Her knowledge was meant to be more on the historian side, so I happy to rewrite things. She is in no way expecting actual dinos. ;3

Backstory:
Coming from a mixed family, Erika has always been something of a loner. She found solace in learning about animals, and became fascinated with paleontology at a young age. Her parents were always supportive of her hobbies, even when it led her to be bullied. She always had high grades in school, and received a scholarship for college. Since then she met a kindred soul in Andreas Hodgson at college, and the two have been close friends.​

I'll get my second character done and posted soon.

EDIT— Also working on the map. The map itself is generated, I just need to place landmarks and the like.

I guarantee your main character that you've already put forward is safe. Again, this is completely optional, I'm just thinking in terms of "if I was directing a dinosaur horror movie, I'd want a few characters to wind up as dinosaur chow".
 
No need to cross out “dinosaur food”. I saw prehistoric horror and dinosaurs, and figured I should have four different characters ready to die terrible, lizard-based deaths.

Andreas stands somewhat shorter than most men at 5'6"/167.64 cm and is of a stocky build. A little bit chubby. His skin never seems to burn or tan, and he's perpetually pale. Requires glasses to see, otherwise he can't see more than a few feet in front of his face without everything becoming blurry. His usual outfits tend to be brightly colored Hawaiian shirts and shorts.​

Has a broad knowledge of internet conspiracy theories, especially those related to the US government; skilled in first aid​

Backstory:
A quiet, shy young man, Andreas endured many hardships growing up, ranging from his parents' divorce to constant bullying in school. Despite this he's always done his best to be kind, though he does have a somewhat short temper. He turned to the internet to escape from his problems. He would often skip school, and it was only through a combination of luck and a sudden burst of hard work that he graduated, and Andrew went to college simply because he had no idea what to do with his life.​
