A Forced Arrangement (Russian_Vodka and Marie Massacre)

"It may just be because we're strong warriors, they may want some hybrid super baby," Mercy said. She couldn't help but laugh at herself. She couldn't see herself carrying a child. She was very much a strong, independent warrior. And bearing a child seemed almost saccreligious her. Being a warrior, it seemed too much like a house maiden to bear children. She would never be that way.

"If they did that, it would be the end of the world." Marco replied, laughing with her as he held her there in his arms, slowly closing his eyes as the exhaustion of their battle and sex had finally caught up with him, he let out a yawn as he pulled her in close, wanting to feel his new wife against him as he slept, hoping she would understand his reason.

Mercy too was also beginning to feel the effects of both the fighting and the sex. Closing her eyes and laying her head on his chest. It was understandable that he'd want to hold her. Due to her having Mikhail before him. So she would not protest. She would simply fall asleep in his arms. Something she'd only done with Mikhail in the past.

Marco felt her head against his chest. He didn't seem bothered with it as he closed his eyes, wanting to sleep as well. He enjoyed holding her, not because of Mikhail, but because he always held his girls, no matter what had happened or how much they were enemies, they had slept together and were married so he would hold her close to him that night at least.

Mercy soon fell into a peaceful sleep. Completely relaxed, though she knew the next morning they would go right back to being enemies. She''d probably end up throwing a rather large object at his head. Though, it was likely she'd miss. But she didn't exactly care. it's be somewhat entertaining, knowing that they'd end up fighting again.

Marco fell asleep too, just holding her there even though he was mentally preparing himself for the next day. They would fight all day long because it was against their own will to have agreed to this marriage. But something inside him wanted the fighting to be seen as their love for each other though he just wanted to be able to see her die of natural causes or something weird so he could go on back to his life as a warrior.

Mercy sighed softly. She wanted nothing more then to go back to fighting, and training like she had. Being a warrior. But she supposed that would be hard now. Now that she was a wife. Possibly a mother. She knew if she was, it was Mikhail's. As she had been having trouble keeping her feeding down. But she tried not to think of it. She just closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Her head on his chest.

Marco had no clue about the fact that she might be pregnant. He had only been with her one night after all and he himself knew it would be difficult for him to impregnate her after just this once. And he was her husband so if she had a child, it would automatically be his no matter how much it might look like another man was the father. He slept there with her, fulyl until the next morning as he then slowly opened his eyes, feeling her head on his chest still as he smiled to himself, knowing it was going to be a fun day.

Mercy awoke slowly, groaning a bit then grabbing his chest, "Where's the bathroom?" She asked. She was shaking as she sat up. She had no clue where the bathroom was here. And she couldn't very well see where it was. She she had to ask. No matter how weak it make her feel to ask for help.

Marco heard her wake up, feeling her grabbing his chest as he kissed her forehead softly. "Come." He told her, slipping out from beneath the blankets before taking her hand, leading her to the bathroom in the house, there was a tub too, in case they wanted a bath. He left her inside, closing the door after him as he knew that she would be able to take care of herself while he went to get dressed and prepare himself some breakfast. They didn't eat the same food after all.

Mercy grabbed the toilet seat, after emptying her stomach contents, along with the stomach acid she pushed herself up. Leaning back against the wall across from the toilet. Trying to calm her body down. When you survive on blood, and not a ton of it, your stomach contents are very little. Especially when losing said contents every couple hours.

Marco had no idea what was happening, and he didn't care as he just went to get his breakfast, settling for something quite human as he found their storage room to be supplied with food for him and blood for her. He didn't seem bothered as long as she would be a good wife and cook him dinner. He was dressed that day in a pair of standard black pants and an open shirt, exposing his chest as he knew it would rip if he tried to close the buttons, he hadn't received his custom made shirts just yet.

Just when Mercy thought she was ok, she started to stand up and it hit her again. She leaned over the toilet, dry heaving a few times. Which could be heard echoing in the halls. Before emptying her stomach once more. She knew it had to be. She had been with Mikhail for nearly a year. And they had been sleeping together for about 2 months, unprotected as it is rare that vampires could actually concieve. She had to be. She moved back over to her spot on the wall.

Marco heard her breathing all the way to the kitchen as he suddenly worried about her. If she was okay, it would be hard for him to tell since he wasn't sure what vampires could actually suffer from when it came to diseases and little did he know that she was with child as he would instantly know who was to blame for that. Also he had never really heard about vampires actually becoming parents because they usually hid it well enough and considered the victims they turned to be their children.

Mercy leaned her head back against the wall, her head pounding. She stood up. Following the wall out of the bathroom and back into their bedroom. She followed the wall all the way out and into the kitchen. "Where is the fridge? The blood needs to stay cold, otherwise it'll go bad," she said. She reeked of stomach acid now. Finding a cabinet and a glass, she felt for the sink to no avail.

"It's in the storageroom, and don't worry. It's cool with those ice blocks in there." He said, not seeming bothered with it as he took her hand, leading her towards the storage room. "Your blood is on the right side of the room." He told her, heading back to his breakfast after making sure she was okay. He didn't feel like asking her about what was wrong with her, he just wanted her to be fine so she could be able to take care of herself.

"I was actually looking for the sink.... but it's ok," Mercy said softly. She wasn't at all hungry, but she would eat to keep her strength up. She took a packet of blood, moving over to the counter where her glass was, being careful. Pouring the glass a little less then full and then sealing the blood. She drank it down just to get rid of the taste.

Marco shrugged in response, he didn't care what she wanted as long as she was fine. And eating would help her no matter what she might think as he continued eating his breakfast, soon finishing it as he leant back with a satisfied sigh.

Mercy wiped the remaining blood from her lips with a napkin, thowing it away. There may not have actually been anything there, but she wiped everything, just in case. "I need to see my father today. I'll be leaving soon, after I get dressed," she said. She stood up, finding the counter, she rinsed the glass out and set it in the sink. She moved around to the entrance of the hall way.

Marco heard her words, knowing she was allowed that. "Okay, just stay off Mikhail and you'll be fine." He told her, knowing they would have scouts watching over their every step once they left the house. Both sides had scouts in the place, loyal only to the treaty as they would make sure that any sign of a break would mean execution of the reason unless it was death by natural causes in the marriage.

Mercy went to their room, getting dressed and finding her stick. She made her way out of the house. She soon found herself being tailed by two lycans. They wouldn't dare follow into her father's house. She got there and went inside. She took her father's hand as soon as she heard his voice. "Father I need to speak with both you and Mikhail, urgently. it's very important, otherwise I would not have asked," Mercy said softly. Hoping her father would understand.

A vampire stepped out of the shadow once the words were spoken. He had been completely silent, but his clothes showed neutrality. He stepped up to them. "I'm afraid that meeting with Mikhail is impossible. For the sake of the treaty, only family relations are allowed." He said, both sides had agreed to this and even if the couple hadn't been informed, he wouldn't care. "You will be allowed to tell your father what you need to say, he can then pass it on to Mikhail as he sees fit." The vampire wasn't a spy, he was the scout who was watching over the house to ensure that she wouldn't be with Mikhail or even set her eyes on him.

Mercy's hands began shaking, her blood boiling. This was something she needed to tell him. She would tell no one if she could not tell Mikhail herself. She anger finally boiled over as she unleashed a punch at the wall. They had been reinforced for that reason. Feel the bones in her hand cracking under the prussure. But she didn't care. "Father, I'm sorry, this is something I must tell Mikhail.... If I cannot tell him, no one wll find out," she said. She had tears welling in her eyes. She was bearing his child, she had a right to see him.

The scout watched her, knowing exactly how to counter all attacks that she might launch towards him. He heard her words, despite her talking to her father, he would cut in with his own words of the treaty. "Impossible, there can be no change in the treaty, your father will tell Mikhail or Mikhail will never know, if you go to him, he will be exiled and sent away, you will never see him again." He told her, putting up the verdict of what her actions would be. "Also you will be held responsible for starting a new war by breaking the treaty which is considered high treason and punishable by death only." He added to enhance the strength of the judgement that would be passed, should she decide to break the treaty.

"Leave us! This matter is nothing you should hear. Should I find out you heard, I'll have you executed!" Mercy spat. And she had the power to due it. She was next in line to rule the vampires. She made sure the scout was outside and the door closed before she spoke. The walls were reinforced so that no sound could break through. "Father.... I am with a child. It's Mikhail's. Please tell him I love him.... And he will be present for the birth. It's his right as the father..." She knew he father was usually an understanding man. Calm and level headed.
